? What? Of course Celtic have the easier tie on thursday! The team they are playing are pretty poor, Celtic dominated their game away from home but couldn’t finish and yet again gave away a ridiculous goal. However Celtic don’t need to score, they drew 1-1 away from home, they have the away goal. Unfortunately they will probably win easily and be able to ease off and make some early subs. We won’t, his is a massive game for us on Thursday and we’ll all have to give 100% for the full game to get through. Then it’s 9 hours of travelling back before a mid day kick off on Sunday. Now I know we are playing and looking way better than last year and they are stuttering (this game though is probably the perfect chance to lift them though) however let’s remember the last two results we’ve had against them, added to the game we have on Thursday and to be honest I’d be ecstatic with a draw on Sunday. We all want to stuff them on Sunday, of course we do, but let’s try and be realistic and remember where we were just a few months ago. Otherwise, if the worst does happen and we lose, there will be people on here calling for Gerrards head and slating the team. We are still a work in progress and actually probably well ahead of where a lot of us imagined we’d be.

Its going to be tough with Thursdays game so my expectations for the weekend are low.
Id happily take a point away to them in this game.
Might get a load of disagrees/ comments but, I would 100% concentrate on getting thru in Europe and then think about the weekends game.
Europe is prestige and will bring much more cash than winning anything in this country all season.

Flanagan is a better defender that Tavs whereas Tavs is better getting up the park!
Still think if we get another solid centre back then we can possibly play the 3-5-2 formation
You have to remember Flanagan was pitted as a centre back and that he aint.

I can see him resting a couple on Thursday with celtic in mind albeit we should just take 1 game at a time. I think the middle of the park is most important though so he will purposely leave Coulibaly out maybe bring him on against ufa, possibly rest Jack or Arfield as well as he likes Halliday so I could see him partner Ejaria in the middle on Thursday but it's really anyone's guess as we seem to have a number of options and getting that euro cash is pretty important but so is performing against Celtic, indeed a tough few days.

Don't quite know the best approach for the attacking line but i'll be over the moon if we can get both Coulibaly and Jack starting, I think both of them on point will be key to a result on Sunday. If we can win the battle in Midfield the forward line will take care of itself as any front 3 we put out is good enough to get the better of their defence.

Barisic putting balls into the box from the wide areas will be key for us in my opinion.
With celtic being so weak defensively we should be going for the kill at set peices.

They have been bang average but we need to safeguard against the fact that players like Dembele, Rogic etc. seem to turn up against us. The old firm is different ball game and they seem to up their game tenfold when facing us. We see it as the probably the best chance of finally getting a victory over them but for all they're probably bricking it they'll also see it as a chance to kick start their season. I'm not calling it, be buzzing with a win and happy with a draw.

For me Thursday is really important in that it generates cash and gives us our status in Europe again. Sunday obviously means a lot and i'm thoroughly enjoying watching #biscuittinbhoys in meltdown watching us spending plenty. Qualify on Thursday and a draw on Sunday would do for me but imagine the timplosion if we qualified then gubbed them at Legodrome. Saint Brenda be Ronnie mk2 :)
