Just spent the last couple of days watching ex rangers players interviews with Si Ferry. The thing that really comes through from them is the mentality that is required to be a successful football player and then multiply that by 100 to be a successful Rangers player. can't remember which one said that at 17/ 18 level there were fantastic players much better than himself but they couldn't step up mentally, one was crying in the tunnel. He said it was brutal and absolutely ruthless as it should be. Senior players would not give you an inch. Looking back on the type of players we had when we were very successful you can see how we managed to claw back leagues and win trophy's. Not only exceptional players but able to cope with the demands and thrive, that takes serious mental strength and belief. We have talented players, no doubt, some have the attributes to be a true Gers. Jack and Arf for example have what it takes but we need 15 players like that. SG is correct, we don't have the collective mental strength at the moment. After the break a good few player were hiding in each game and when we lost or drew the pressure only got worse and more hiding, expectation after beating Celtic at New year was at an all time high and they couldn't cope with being favorites. Perhaps there is some truth in Kent remarks, we like being under dogs, which is why the played okay in Europe. Being an underdog or a nothing to lose attitude is an easy way out and not acceptable for a Rangers player. You may win the odd one off top game but to be a consistent winner you have to believe you are as good if not better than your opponent at all times. And it doesn't really matter if your up against one of the best players in the world when you have a team full of proper Rangers players. We are almost there just need to add some reinforced concrete and we will be fine.

True mate. We had, wee barry f, mccoist, Hendry, Gough, amoruso, laudrup, Gascoigne. All amazing. Not scared of anyone. Now it's tavernier, fekn ohno, helander, Kamara, Barker. Might be alright once in a while, but for the RFC, it's needs to be 24/ 7. I see the younger ones learn their football from FIFA. When I was younger we played against old Jim the alkies fence. Either got a burst ball back or a hell of a bolokin. The crap players come for the money. That's the problem. Our younger ones don't get a chance. Gilmour left and is now first team Chelsea, but he maybe wasn't given the chance here. Middleton did well in Europe, but gets loaned out. Fekn ojo and Barker come in. Mccrories are blue bloods and are let go. Hastie's signed and put straight out. What are they thinking to themselves, these boys.

28 Apr 2020 22:11:46
Gilmour left for a bigger league and more money. That will always be the case, wasn't that he wasn't getting a chance.

Charlie adam scored some cracking goals for us. Just unfortunate we played him left midfield out of position. Centre mid was not easy place to get into back then. Grew up playing against him at boys club b4 he went to Celtic. best player who was untouchable who signed for rangers was Jamie winter was class. Been playin Junior last few years.

29 Apr 2020 08:05:51
Only replying about adam due to SI ferrys most recent keeping the ball on the ground podcast was adam yesterday. 1st 40 mins talks aboit coming through at Rangers. Good listen.

Gilmour was also too young to play at the time he was there. I'm sure he would be in the team / squad had he still been here. Some good points, well made though guys đź‘Ť.

Joe Fitzpatrick (gues who he supports) Scottish Sports Minister spouting about renewal of, SPL and its beneficial nature on mental health is absolute garbage. Yeah we're bored but to say we're suicidal is and to repeat myself, absolute garbage but I question who at Tim end got Scottish Parliament motivated.

28 Apr 2020 20:33:25
Miller, who does he support.

28 Apr 2020 21:21:36
You've to guess john.

29 Apr 2020 09:07:53

But happy to take the Queens shillings.

28 Apr 2020 16:18:20
First the Dutch, now the French ending their leagues now with no champions declared. I wonder what the SPFL and SFA will do?

28 Apr 2020 16:32:02
We know what they will do.

Everyone does.

It was always going to be so.

It was always about one team and one team only, same as before, same as always.

When Neil phoned Peter we all knew the outcome.

28 Apr 2020 16:40:03
everyone knows what their going to do, just going to take longer till they find a way to sweep our objections under the carpet, no shame in any of them.

28 Apr 2020 18:29:06
You do realise this has heehaw to do with the SFA?

28 Apr 2020 20:45:27
Thought The SFA oversaw ALL footballing matters

Wikipedia

The Scottish Football Association (also known as the SFA and the Scottish FA; Scottish Gaelic: Comann Ball-coise na h-Alba; Scots: Scots footballw Association) is the governing body of football in Scotland and has the ultimate responsibility for the control and development of football in Scotland.

Couldnae have put it better masel.

no lads big peter is the godfather, if we ever find out who he really is, i just wonder who the whistleblower is, anybody want to throw their hat into the ring.

28 Apr 2020 21:38:42
this is a complete mess with the sfa and rangers its like childish games going on between them selves do rangers seriously think all the other clubs are going to vote for a independent enquiry especially after sfa basically saying the money should be better spent on getting our game started again so of course the clubs will side with sfa
There is more important things currently going on than football titles and France and Dutch football authority s have made the correct decision in cancelling the season it is a shame for the teams that where going to get promotion but this is not a normal season and declaring the season over is the correct decision.

28 Apr 2020 22:07:01
On this issues its the spfl.
Also do me. a favour, please don't ever come n use wikipedia as a back up to an argument lol i could go change wiki if i wanted.

29 Apr 2020 10:46:37
what money craig? you got a figure?

28 Apr 2020 16:08:38
ligue 1 cancelled by the French govt.

28 Apr 2020 19:00:07
But our 'government' in Edinburgh mainly support the same team, so they won't cancel it as it would annoy their club no end.

28 Apr 2020 11:53:16
