I see in pc's press conference he said that pena was in the top three players in his squad at distance covered and something else. Not only do i think pc's attitude and behavior is below what's expected of a rangers Manager i now think he's a liar. i'm what some may call obese but, even a big fella like myself can put in a better shift than pena. So i think pc is talking pish that pena is in the top 3.
He is an embarrasement of a Manager.

27 Sep 2017 23:06:59
If the man says he was consistently in the top 3 then he was. Your post is very poor, very disrespectful and I don't know why I am replying to it. I'm going to have a word with myself.

28 Sep 2017 07:40:22
Dunbar blue, I've seen pena play 3 times now and there is no way he is one of pc's top performing players in training. The man talks nothing but rubbing and lies. You away and have a word with yourself.

28 Sep 2017 08:15:53
Maybe it was for eating kebabs by how unfit he looks. Joking aside it is a disgrace that this man is still not ready to play a full game st this stage of the season.

28 Sep 2017 09:16:30
I personally would play pena as a forward in behind Morelos as he's good in the air and has an eye for goal but a centre mid he is not no heart in the tackle and positionally poor.

28 Sep 2017 19:54:25
I think he meant fattest

27 Sep 2017 21:52:36
Sorry but Pedro will never cut it . doesn’t have a clue what is required. I like many gave him the benefit of the doubt however I can’t remain quiet any longer. His signings have been poor, performances have been poor, poor in front of the media and finally showed no class in dealing with Scott Brown . He won’t survive October - whoever employed him should be chased from Ibrox . Before all have a go and accuse me of being “one of them “ I have supported rangers for over 40 years and never seen a rangers team be so soft - the way Celtic swagger around ibrox makes me sick - time for a change

27 Sep 2017 22:04:24
I'm sure we all will welcome your 100mill to help pay everyone off and start all over AGAIN!

27 Sep 2017 22:17:57
Well said couldn’t agree more. Pedro is isn’t the man to take us foward . he must win the next 3 games if not he needs to go . there’s is no Pedro affect on the squad at all

27 Sep 2017 23:09:36
Bil72

What are you on about? The poster is just posting what many of us feel so why the sarcastic comment? If fans don't think it's working they are entitled to say so. Think it also speaks volumes that your reply was more about the cost of paying everyone off and starting again rather than defending the managers signings or results neither of which you can

27 Sep 2017 23:15:40
Bil72 - Derek McKinnes doesn’t have or need 100 million yet manages to compete- loses his best players each year and yet they sit second - now that’s a good manager

28 Sep 2017 00:17:26
I've always been supportive of Pedro's appointment because I trusted that there was a good reason for him been chosen. Rumours that he was a potential major investors preferred man for the job have dissapeared completely. It is a very strange appointment if that wasn't the reason

28 Sep 2017 08:14:43
Teams usually get a wee bounce effect when i new manager comes in. we're still waiting on ours and he's been here from March.

27 Sep 2017 20:49:31
I think we need to get a settled side and give the 2 Mexican boys a good run in the team and the team will get better I know we want instant success but that's not going to happen we have to give Pedro time I think this man has taken stick since he arrived in Scotland ie the ra Celtic loving media etc come on guys get behind him and the team I have a feeling Pedro will come good given time.

27 Sep 2017 20:15:34
Getting away from the doom and gloom for a moment here fellow bears! I would hope all my fellow 'gers supporters out there, would join me in wishing nacho novo, all the very very best of luck, on his new pub owner venture! Nacho, i have on very good authority, has indeed purchased the angel bar pub, which is situated on paisley road west! Supposed to be opening for business some time in novembe, as nacho is doing it up in rangers colours, and a lot of his prized football possessions, will be hanging on the walls inside! He's changing the name of the pub, from the angel bar, to "NOVO 10", that's what i've heard! Will need to visit the wee man's pub, when we're at home, once it officially opens! I've all the time in the world, for the wee man and he'll certainly get my custom and support, at our home games at ibrox! Hope being a pub owner, works out brilliantly, for wee novo! Good luck wee buddie!

27 Sep 2017 18:22:35
Just listened to scott mcdermotts pod cast from the DR. I must say I done well not to throw my laptop through the living room wall. That fat bastard of a journalist was speaking like he was a Jose Mourinho. The problem we have is when pricks like that have a captive audience some folks will believe the utter rubbish that comes from not just him but all of the journos, there just looking to sell papers remember that.
If our team and manager did have a spat post celtic so what, all great teams do, that what makes them great, they are competitive top pros with a desire to win at everything they do. If they weren't having a go at each other after a defeat to our greatest rivals I would be worried. I like Pedro, I liked Warburton Christ I would support anyone in that position, call me stupid or call me a Ranger.

27 Sep 2017 19:26:54
It would have been better had the team showed the same amount of passion on the field rather in a team meeting

27 Sep 2017 20:30:17
All the doom and gloom merchants I'll ask you one thing where would the money come from to sack our manager and back room team then employ a new manager if he's any good he will be employed so buy out his contract then have another clear out so pay up players contracts it's crazy we need to have patients we know we have to add to the squad in Jan we have spent somewhere close to to eight mill net building nearly a whole team it isn't a lot we need now to add some quality players we lack that we are not the old Rangers with multi million pound players on the bench look at Sat just to see our bench seven games in is too soon to panic I agree the manager and team need to up their game but we need to give them till end of the season see where we are financially a knee jerk action now could be a disaster we are where we are let's just see where we go I'm not happy with the start to the season but I'm willing to stay with it

27 Sep 2017 21:20:39
I totally back you on your very realistic, sensible post, thinkaboutit! A very good post indeed mate! Some of our supporters just keep thinking, oh its not working just now, so rip it up and start again! Not the way and most certainly not at the moment! Far too early on giving up on caixinha and our team!

27 Sep 2017 17:21:47
Teams like Real Madrid Barcelona juventus Psg man utd man city even the unwashed weren't built in one transfer window. It was built over years with the odd player being added. We need to give pedro proper time to assemble a team. Otherwise it's the same old story all over again.

27 Sep 2017 18:06:26
That's what i don't get with some people, we would end up starting over again and what would happen if instant success doesn't happen then, we have to give people time to adapt, pedro i believe will come good with the squad i think we're only a few players away from a really good team, they have built there team up to be strong with a strong bench aswell we will get there but not by sacking manager's every six months

27 Sep 2017 18:08:13
At rangers you have to win simple as that mate. You don't get time to build a team.

27 Sep 2017 18:12:25
if that's the attitude we are going with we better prepare for a new manager every six months then

27 Sep 2017 19:03:05
Just stating a fact mate, Paul le guen, mark warburton do you want me to continue?

27 Sep 2017 19:31:22
Trueger

Plenty of managers don't get a lot of time to try and build a team and Rangers are no different. No point giving someone time if they aren't up to the job. Ronnie Delia was sacked after winning the league every season in charge and the reason was they didn't think he was the man to take them forward. I don't believe Pedro is the man to take us forward so it doesn't matter how many transfer windows he gets he won't improve us enough to challenge

27 Sep 2017 19:39:04
Jason brown your bang on the money. Stmonkey you mentioned city I think when they got new owners they were third in the premier league the next season because they spent absolute fortunes so get that aff yer list. Celtic are only as dominant now because we were run into the ground if admin never happened we would still be winning everything domestically.

27 Sep 2017 19:51:04
jason mate, i know its the nature of the beast these days. just worries me that we could be facing the same charade of hire a new guy, replace a ton of players, boot the manager and start it all over again. financially that would be crippling and the its the last thing i want to see happening.

27 Sep 2017 17:16:01
There is an awful lot of unhappiness on here - not without warrant.
I don't think we are in a good place. yet.
Here's my take on it so far.

The Board: Doing ok. For those that say they need to invest more or sell up to some mystery benefactor. Who? These guys stepped in because there was NO-ONE ELSE with our club at heart. You may not feel they are doing a good job or putting enough in but they stood up to be counted when no-one else did!

Pedro: He is not the way forward long term. I don't think there are any who would argue that but he is in charge and should stay there for the moment.
There is no point in replacing him with another mediocre manager and alienating our current new contingent. Also (and this is crucial) we cannot afford to pay him off and bring in a new man!
Therefore I will support him whilst he is here.
The purchases he has made are IMO not that bad. There is still a way to go but as he has had 1 window he has concentrated in our major problem areas last season. Excepting the full back issue which I don't think is as bad as some do.
Squad:
Goalies: The 2 we have are just ok. It was not urgent to replace them but I would hope that in the coming windows we look to bolster with someone who installs faith.
Full backs: I like attacking full backs so I would keep Tav. I would also be happy to see Wallace, John and Beerman fight it out next season. Hodson is the poorest of these guys and should definitely be sold.
Centre Backs:I know they aren't world beaters but they are definitely better than anything we have had in years.
Centre Mid: Jack, Dorrans, Rossiter and Holt are all a good level as a squad.
Right Wing: Candeias is a good player. Not sure how we would cope if he was injured.
Left Wing: We need this position filled ASAP. I would take Walker happily but feel we more than this.
Attack Mid: Pena, for me the jury is still out. Certainly slow and some latin palyers just don't get up to pace but we will see.
Windass I am unsure about still. there's a player in there but yet to be convinced.
Strikers: Morelos is a find. Miller needs the rest and needs used more sparingly. Herrera is not the man he needs to be to lead us.
The future: I do believe this squad is a step forward to that of last season (The performances are not but that is not the same thing) . We actually have something to build on.
I would like to see some further progress in the next window.
a tight back and a left winger obviously but more importantly we need 1 marquee signing, a schemer who can carry the ball, dictate the pace and unlock a defence. (Kranjcar would have been ideal but can't stay fit and too old) Doesn't have to be a huge cost.
IT was going to take a major piece of work for us to take the title already and we are not up to it yet but we are hgoing in the right direction.

27 Sep 2017 18:02:00
Bluegenius what crap we are no further forward and wasted millions . agree not boards fault but who advised them to employ pedro? Team no better than last season

27 Sep 2017 19:05:20
Should have went with Tommy Wright.

27 Sep 2017 19:19:23
yeah and he would end up tommy wrong, st johnstone job is a whole lot different to rangers

27 Sep 2017 20:18:45
If you think the team is no better than before then you were either asleep last season or clueless.

28 Sep 2017 20:33:29
No better than last season? Get a grip

27 Sep 2017 15:59:47
See you fodtheprod there is no chance you are a rangers fan.
I only joined and regesterd on this to tell you that I'm sick of hearing you moan about pedro and rangers.
The guy is only cleaning up the mess from the past 10 managers and board members.
We are where we are and it's not pedro's fault. If anything it's supporters like you that expect a quick fix that are the problem. Get a life and support your club.

27 Sep 2017 16:20:52
Well said trueger there’s not one post on here we’re he says anything positive about the famous Glasgow Rangers everything is about slating our manager let’s all get behind the man he will come good.

27 Sep 2017 16:49:42
Sir Alex took 3 year and was 1 game away from the sack
When he went to man utd.
I'm not saying pedro is in fergies class but giving a
Manager 6 months then sacking him then giving new guy 6 months just isn't going to work.
We need to get real as give this guy time.
I can see a big difference from last years team.
Another few player in time and see how we get on.
Either way if we finish 2 or last I'll be supporting pedro all the way.

27 Sep 2017 16:55:44
I understand it's not Pedros fault and money is the issue as well as damage done previously but the statements Pedro comes out with are ridiculous and also his recruitment of players has been poor which is always a gamble whether they fit in or not at Rangers. Positive note the boy Mcrorie and Declan John look good additions. This is never ending hurt at the minute and Famous Glasgow Rangers is better than this. Next two transfer windows interesting. We need to buy quality over quantity.

27 Sep 2017 17:17:35
I agree mate but if any teams bought 11 new players they are lucky if 1 of them then out to be a gem. In my opinion I think pedro has found 3 and also he is the only manager willing to drop star players and put in youth.
If macoist was still here he would be copying Walter smiths blueprint. At least pedro is man enough to do his own thing. And as far as him making stupid statements I have to say I agree with every word pedro has said. The media have been trying to set him up with every interview.
I for one appreciate pedro for standing up for my club weather he is right or wrong. He won't let anybody put him or his team down.

27 Sep 2017 16:57:59
Well said mate too many looking into the past to say why we should be better, but the more recent past tells the reason we are like this and it will take time. I hate Neil Lennon but if anyone read what he was saying we have got better but still not reached our potential. That is a true and honest assessment even if some don't want to hear it

27 Sep 2017 19:46:28
Trueger are you joking me. You only made an account to argue with me haha your class. I don't really slag the club just PC and the decisions they board have made to bring him in. As for i'm not a real supporter that's up to you to believe everyone is entitled to an opinion but I was there when we were at the bottom of scottish football just as I was there when we were on top of the world buying the best. I wasnt even this annoyed when mccoist was buying the likes of kevin kyle it was a means to an end really. Pedro has been given a big amount of money, wasted it and we look terrible now he's having a go at the british boys for not getting behind him. Look I don't know your problem with me and what I write on this but its your problem not mine but if you want to waste your time fire away.

27 Sep 2017 19:55:39
Fod, you do talk some pish. Even if you are a supporter, you must be the most negative one I've ever heard. All you do is complain. Yes your right to have your opinion but right now you should be getting behind the manager and the team because that's what we need

27 Sep 2017 15:22:54
I didn't see us winning against Celtic I woulda taken a point before game in a heartbeat because sadly the reality is we are just not there yet. This isn't solely Peds fault were expecting to win leagues and cups and beat Celtic when really we are nowhere near that level. This is a transition that will take however long it takes no amount of money will solve it there is no quick fix or amazing manager to save us. In my opinion we need the same starting 11 every week or close to it. We need unity, stability and we need to be patient and gel this squad asap. Yes this season will be another sore one to watch by looks of it but sadly being real that's just where we are at but looking at it optimistically our manager has his own players now, we have an actual goalscorer and barring injuries to vital positions I believe 2nd is achievable but we need to stop comparing ourselves to Celtic. Aberdeen and St Johnstone are our main rivals this year. Going forward a few more additions in my opinion things can only get better.

27 Sep 2017 19:36:28
our clubs biggest prob is the fans. players make a mistake they get booed. the wrst thing a payer playing poorly needs is fans booing. really do you believe that will make him play better. support and encourage.

27 Sep 2017 14:31:38
Does anybody think that the papers are just making story out of the fact our manager has (rightfully) went through the team for their second half performance?

These guy live a probolgaed life, they need to take their manager grief if they don't show for him.

Before people just down my throat, I'm no saying Pedro is the answer. But he is the Rangers manager and he sticks up for this football club constantly and I feel people should try and cut him some slack, as he's getting it from everybody else, never mind our own support.

Also just a point about Dorrans, I know he's one of our own and all that so I'm sure il get shot down for this too, but does nobody agree with Pedro and the captaincy thing? It's an old firm game at Ibrox, the armband should not be getting passed about like a hot totty. He was given the armband for a reason. He shouldn't want to give it up soon as Kenny enters the field.

27 Sep 2017 14:55:34
Privileged*** that should say lol

27 Sep 2017 15:33:15
Wholeheartedly agree BearMode

27 Sep 2017 16:01:08
cant say fairer than that mate. story obviously been twisted and some can't wait to gobble it up and put the boot in

28 Sep 2017 02:27:30
Great point BearMode, time for the players to stand up and perform for the manager and the supporters. Pedro completely correct if he tore bits out of them for second half performance against Celtic.

28 Sep 2017 02:28:43
On the Dorrans issue Bearmode, I was astonished during the game when i seen him give Miller the armband. When we're 1-0 down to our bitter rivals that should b the last thing he's thinking abt

Joey Barton

27 Sep 2017 08:01:17
{Ed's Note - we have posted a new player profile about, Joey Barton

27 Sep 2017 06:21:30
So PC he went mental at dorrans and the rest of the scottish boys for not making them feel welcome, is he an actual looney. Then blowing up at dorrans for giving the vice captain the arm band when he comes in the pitch, that's a sign of respect to king kenny. This guy is poison and its spreading through the team. Get him out.

27 Sep 2017 08:08:24
Sign of respect to kenny?!? If the manager makes you captain and you hand the armband to anyone else that's a sign of disrespect to the armband to the manager to rangers.

27 Sep 2017 08:24:07
Nah its giving the band to the longest serving player at the club the now to try and turn the game against our biggest enemy.

27 Sep 2017 09:29:36
Fod why do you read the daily record (especially Kieth Jackson) and feel everything is the truth that he has written? So you are trying to get me to believe great legendary managers like Alex Ferguson. Bill Struth. Jock Stein. Walter Smith have never went in and gave the proverbial "hair dryer treatment" after a loss? especially a meekly performance like that on Saturday at our against our most bitter rivals? Can't you see that maybe the manager is hurting too? Or because you have decided that you don't warm to the guy that it's him being a "Looney ". I'll point out a couple of things to you Fod. Far from being a "looney" Pedro speaks fluently several languages, has worked extensively outside his comfort zone of his homeland. worked in cultures far removed from his own whilst doing so in a different language. Only in Scotland would you be called a "looney" and not lauded for such a thing. I speak two languages English and Italian having worked in Italy for three years and trust me the pressures of getting your job done whilst trying to conduct it in a completely different tongue is intense. And I never done it to 50,000 people every week. Honestly Fod of you have any crumb of love for our club then you'd swerve the rags like daily record

27 Sep 2017 09:30:29
Spot on fod need shot of him pronto he's a clown.
We are going to be the laughing stock of scottish football in the bottom half of the table

27 Sep 2017 09:38:35
Taxi for Pedro.

Really the longer he continues on as boss the weaker we will become. The plot has been lost.

27 Sep 2017 10:24:10
Pedro is blaming the players for not geling well for me the blame lies it his door not the players he brought these players in to the club from abroad when there was better alternatives

27 Sep 2017 10:24:42
To those who are lambasting Pedro, would you rather have the Bread Man back? Nottingham Forest are sitting 16th in the Championship with 12 points from 10 games, that's 6 defeats and only 4 wins. This is virtually a brand-new team Pedro has put together with still a tight budget compared to the past. At least give him until the end of this year before we judge him. The point about Dorrans has already been made - he was poor on Saturday. Ryan Jack looks like the best of the new signings so far so I hope Pedro builds the new team around him and gives McCrorie, Barjonas and Hardie a chance.

27 Sep 2017 11:04:25
If the rumours are true then I can see only one outcome and that's the manager eventually leaving, fans are already starting to doubt Pedro and will side with the players who at times look as if they don't know what tactics they are following. Pedro stumbled across 4-4-2 in Sheffield Wed friendly but every week our midfield gets outnumbered by opponents playing 3 in centre of park yet he never changes to counter this. His jacket is on a shaky nail with many fans and I believe nothing less than 2nd and reaching final of league cup by turn of year will see him gone.

27 Sep 2017 11:18:43
Why do people read papers that supposedly we boycott, read what we want oh must be an agenda,
Idea why don't we not believe everything we read and even if anything happened i haven't read it so don't know apart from what fans are saying, we got pumped at the weekend is it so bad we had a bust up, or should we having champagne and days off, honestly not sure what to make of some of things people say anymore

27 Sep 2017 11:48:46
Tiger shaw I read it online I never buy a paper no chesticles in them now. Everything you described who cared just means he talks guff in many languages. You only do it in 2.

27 Sep 2017 13:01:55
For those of you that can't read between the biased headline grabbing nonsense:

(BTW I'm not a huge fan of Pedro)
Pedro was angry at a few things.
1) home grown players not making the foreign contingent welcome - Quite right! This would help people settle quicker and build team spirit. 2 things that are imperative for a whole new team of players. We should all want them to do this.
2) No-one jump to defend Morelos. Again, you all moan about no fight or spirit but when Caixinha shouts at them for not showing it he gets slated?
3) Dorrans giving up armband. Damn straight. Having that armband is an honour and unless otherwise ordered he should have fought to keep it.

To me this is all about Caixinha being angry at the lack of fight on Saturday. The same complaint from the fans. I hope they listened carefully and we should be applauding Pedro for this at least!

27 Sep 2017 14:05:59
Let's face it Pedro is now a dead man walking. Anybody that believes he'll lead us on long term and win titles in Scotland really should take the blue specs off and throw them away.

He continually spouts nonsense, one minute he's telling us what a great squad he has, the best in the league the next he's ranting about the Scottish players not welcoming in the foreigners. Oh and he gets angry if anybody suggests the best squad in the league should be making a title challenge.

He makes a big show of letting the press know he's warned Moreolos not to lose the head in the Old Firm game then it's him that completely loses the plot.

I don't care how many languages he speaks, facts are facts, the man is a dud.

27 Sep 2017 15:19:52
The league table at the minute doesn't show a true reflection. Celtic, Aberdeen and Hibs have still to play each other.

Lets forget who the manager is and get behind the team for the next 3 games in the league. Pedro will be in charge until the semi final. Win those against Hamilton, st Johnstone and killie and we should be there or there abouts in 2nd and hopefully a cup final to look forward to.

28 Sep 2017 02:23:57
I did think Dorrans giving Kenny the armband was pointless when he came on. we're getting beat 1-0 off our rivals, who cares whos got the armband just focus on trying to get something from the game

28 Sep 2017 02:27:15
Says the ever reliable source The Daily Record

Which would never, ever exaggerated and blow things out of proportion to sell papers.

Every post Fod makes is negative, so for him to speak about Pedro spreading like "poison" is laughable

28 Sep 2017 02:24:57
Alan Pardew with Stuart McCall as his assistant and Souness as DOF?

Moult, Sol Bamba, A decent RB and big strong AM who can play a bit, all in January - then we might get somewhere? - one can only dream!
