Where are we getting the income to sign all of these's players, all on high wages. The season tickets are same as last year, no shares issue, minimal TV revenue? Bobby

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good question Bobby, although apparently that doesn't matter to some. Chuck a few pre contract names out there and it's all hunky dory again. Nothing to worry about mate. Let's all just plug our ears and cover our eyes as usual. "La la la la la la la, not listening! can't hear you!"

Agree0 Disagree0

Careful Bobby you will come under attack from the Super Ally WATP brigade who will accuse you of lacking any knowledge about football and not being a real Rangers fan with all your negativity.
For negativity I would say realism unless Bocanegra, Goian, Black, Shields and other high wages are freed up how on earth can we afford more players?

Like all Bears I wish Mr McCoist well I hope to goodness he proves us wrong and becomes a great manager because he is a Rangers legend but so far the signs are not good. The football last season was just rank rotten. The worst team in Scotland took points off us FFS.

The greatest ranger ever John Greig couldn't manage a fish supper but we love him. Ally so far is the same- let's hope we are wrong and he succeeds but where is the money coming for all these high wages? Where the feck are the accounts? What mental accountancy covers delaying their publishing which in turns limits our future income by continuing the 3 year European ban?
Ally's big day on the last day of the season reminded me of John Greig's ride around Ibrox in front of 65,000 bears after we were beaten by Airdrie.
I hope all is well but I hae my doubts

Agree0 Disagree0

Meanwhile every day £5-10k of shares in Rifc sold on aim, that's 100 days now and sell sell sell

£1+ m income for someone, who probably bought at 1p. still 50x profit on every sale.

is this the real story - who is checking out if not fans who never would. ?

Agree0 Disagree0

@3

The price has flat lined for the whole of May, all these sells you talk of have not changed the sp.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 3, people may be selling share but there is someone buying them also,

Heed rtid

Agree0 Disagree0

#North Bear. Bit out of order what you said about John Greig. OK, he certainly wasn't a brilliant manager but he did give us some great European nights at Ibrox, particularly beating Juventus and remember he was competing against not only Celtic but Aberdeen under Fergie and a very strong Dundee United under Jim McLean & remember, both those sides reached European finals & DUFC even beat Barca 4 times out of 4 in the 1980s.

Finally his football was much more entertaining than anything we've seen from Rangers with Ally in charge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eh - ticket sales, sponsorship, advertising, tv (albeit much reduced), prize money (again much reduced)
we would hope that lessons have been learnt and we have someone with a decent business brain who can work out how our revenue will exceed our expenditure

Time people around here get back to reality including McCoist we are in the second division and we want to spend money we will need when we get back to where we belong on SPL players, surely we can get or should already have players to take us there if our youngsters are not good enough then there is something wrong with our coaches and scouts.

How would we measure success for next season.
A. Winning the League
B. Winning the League and the Ramsden Cup
C. Winning the League the Ramsden cup and either the League or Scottish Cup.
D. Just staying in the 2nd division

Believable0 Unbelievable0

C we should defo wrap the lge and ramsden up and should be challenging for either cup

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 20:16:39
A at a minimum but with the players we are signing I would say a C

Agree0 Disagree0

A will do for me bud
trueblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Win the league and Ramsdens cup is a minimum. Decent cup runs in other cups but don't expect to win either

Agree0 Disagree0

B plus a quarter or semi final is my expectation of the squad he is putting together now

Agree0 Disagree0

Win our league each year and that will do us until we are back at the top, and don't give the sfa/spl the satisfaction of having gers in their finals of scottish or league cups, let them see how much interest there is in it, and we will see how sponsers will react when they can't have their end of season glamour game of an old firm final. what comes around goes around!

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 yeah that's right! You are always in the final of the league and scottish cup weren't you!
Rediculous post mate!

really can't believe ally thinks he needs the players mentioned to play in division 2, has he no respect for the club, all his reckless spnding, that's how we are in this position

Believable0 Unbelievable0

All this spending its free transfers ya big dolphin

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not allys biggest fan as a manager but the players signed and linked i'm really chuffed about. The new players mixed with the few decent youngsters we have could after a couple of seasons set us up with the base of a good squad for the spland spare me the pish we should be playing all the youngsters. jmgers

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 free transfers who will command wages far higher than that of your regular Division 2 player. To go with the ones we already have on long contracts with huge wages. Oh, and then there's the bonus payments, and the paying up of contracts to departing board members. Not to mention Allys substantial wage and bonuses. Still, at least they're only pre contract agreements, still time for some of them to sign nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

The OP is talking about the wages these players will get. You are a big dolphin if you can't see that we can't afford them. WW

Agree0 Disagree0

@1) What about the wages Rainman?

Gonna be majorly more than last year, and we were losing 1 million a month then.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2013 00:30:25
@1 and they will play for nothing. they didn't take a pay cut to drop down a league or two.

Agree0 Disagree0

Poster here, thankyou everyone for pointing out to @1 that ok it was free transfers but wil all be on high wages, only way ally knows how

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 18:30:25
Goian and Bocanegra to return?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 May 2013 18:22:12
Why we not being liked for Kevin Thomson? Was a great player for us back in the day, still only 28. Get him signed up Ally.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Did you see him yesterday? finished.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 19:37:01
oft he was so bad yesterday shadow of the player he was claros looks far better put in some shift shame we never got him when we had the chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Injury prone

Agree0 Disagree0

He'd collect a few grand a week for lying on the treatment table. No thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 18:04:32
Whats wrong with the op calling hearts skint? Hearts ARE skint. They were widely expected to enter administration but avoided it for the time being. Seems a lot of anger in your reply though.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You know that he was wanting them to go bust, but what I was getting at, if the rangers supporters had given when the debt was payable maybe you would still be the same rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 13:50:37
Does anyone know when season tickets will be out for next season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't worry about that there will be plenty going about.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 yeah but not as many that`ll be available over at Girodome

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 You could not make it up, your old mob do people for million's and then you spout about girodome PML ha ha ha
Tam

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find that hearts supporters club together and payed what was due to th tax man, why would you wish thm bad luck

Agree0 Disagree0

Since when did David Murray Spending money he didn't have & Craig Whyte dodging Tax make it any less of a Girodome? PMSL ahaha

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 19:39:58
so when is season tickets back on sale as want to get my seat sorted to see what ally can do in the 2nd division maybe a little cup run feeling good for the season ahead

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 Nice to see that all the supporters over by Ibrox are all hard working individuals who pay their taxes and are in no need of giros unlike those one over at the "girodome". With such fine fettled fellows following TRFC we can expect a well oil machine with a grouping that will act at the slightest sign of danger to ensure the continuation of their great establishment. Danny Wilson signs for hearts, wtf get a grip Rangers we need 2 quality central defenders.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The guy must want to play in the spl rather than division 2 can't hold that against him got to remember where we r some folk are going to be put off by it not every1 thinks of money first

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Danny Wilson doesn't want to drop 2 divisions?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 16:50:15
Maybe he doesn't want to drop two divisions. But with an administration looking almost inevitable down Tynecastle way and likely relegation after a points deduction this time next season he'll probably be plying his trade in the same division as Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are probably right @2, but he now has potential to drop down 3 divisions with Hearts, their survival chances are not too good.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4: if they're liquidated he'll have the option to leave - how ironic would that be if he then decided to sign for Rangers?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 17:52:52
to @4 administration a possibility but it will be a drop point and then going to div 1

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilson was a 1 season wonder

Agree0 Disagree0

Or maybe he doesn't want to admit he was wrong leaving in the first place. doesn't do much for his ego. sold for millions / sign back on in a free

Agree0 Disagree0

He was over rated and crap

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny how no-one on here was saying he was over-rated etc. when he was rumoured to be signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a Celtic supporter and didn't want back @ Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 11:51:14
danny wilson has singed form hearts was just what we neededed at the back who else can we gt?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nah mate, Danny Wilson just signed FOR Hearts on a 3 year deal. So lies!

Agree0 Disagree0

What did he sing?

Agree0 Disagree0

He signed for hearts 3yr deal

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 10:59:41
I agree we need cover for centre half but for the league I think McCulloch and gesperato would suffice. I don't agree with this "bleed them in gently nonsense". if he's good enough, which he clearly is then he should be playing. would love for boccanegra to come back but his wages are just too steep at the moment. have to say i'm very pleased so far with the signing, s of bell, daly and law. clark Humphreys and hately hopefully today will make a strong squad. anyone heard what happened to the centre half we had on trial. think he was south American.?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 May 2013 10:23:03
Danny Wilson signs 3 year deal with Hearts.

Stv.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thought they were skint, can't play wages on time, but give Wilson a 3 year deal lol

Agree0 Disagree0

And you are not skint? Are you not the club that welched on its debts and used company law to excuse yourself from debt. Also known as running away, or to do the midnight flit. Fancy that, calling Hearts skint, or are you a new club?

Agree0 Disagree0

And your club charging the weans 65 quid to kick a baw on the pitch lol

Agree0 Disagree0

@2. An admision at last. Your right were mot a new club. Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

N2 the rangers debt was under control is cw that owes the taxman tmwnn

McCall hanging off for Ibrox, certainty.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Aye him and butcher

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever you may think the reason is for him turning down Sheff Utd, it's good for Scottish football he's staying up here. Much as i'm not a fan of McCall being from the other side, credit where it's due Motherwell played some great football this season, gave us a few beatings and after selling what was supposed to be there best talent last year he has brought on that squad and made some shrewd signings. I know most of you are back behind McCoist now but McCall would be the man to replace him if it was to come to that.

Agree0 Disagree0

With McCall in charge at Ibrox I'd actually fancy us making an appearance at Hampden next season. With Daly, Bell and a couple of others like Tom Hateley certain to join I think Rangers will easily have the second strongest squad in the country and he'd have us playing far more attractive football.

Think we'll underperform badly with McCoist at the helm again.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 17:59:47
well with the boys we are bringin in can see us having a good cup run if we don't come up against celtic cand see us winning the cup as will now have a far stronger team than last

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcall losing 7 players a bad season coming up

Agree0 Disagree0

When did The Ramsden Cup Final get pencilled in for Hampden?

Agree0 Disagree0

@3: no cup semis or finals will be played at Hampden next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 why do so many people harp on about Tom Hateley? He is average at best. We should be looking at building a squad fit to challenge Celtic when we get back to the SPL and Hateley isn't good enough for that

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 10:17:02
Danny Wilson has signed permanently for Hearts.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are we still owed money for wilson

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 17:16:41
Think the creditors of the old club might be, not the new one. Trying to claim that is slightly cheeky.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not cheeky just asking

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 10:06:48
Don't know if we actually made a move for Danny Wilson but its quite disappointing someone with that talent has joined Hearts, who will not be offering that much money in the way of wages in their current state.

Oh well he did show his true colours after ditching us after about 2 games in the team to money grab down south so maybe he wouldn't have been the best signing for squad harmony.

Onward and upward WATP

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe he would rather play spl than division 2 we can't expect that every1 is going to want to sign for us am sure we will get a few decent few centre halfs in anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 11:29:04
So he should go to Ibrox cause they'll pay more than Hearts but he was a moneygrabber for going to Liverpool?

Great logic there poster lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 12:08:07
Sour grapes anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilson has been found out after leaving us

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 09:54:07
Danny Wilson signed for hearts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ally not looking for a move, but a blind man could see lemon is desparate for a move, said as much in his interview, had the chance to stop the rumours, but didnt, champoinship here he comes ( if he's lucky ) lol!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lemon would be a laugh down there

Agree0 Disagree0

@2: and McCoist (at least I can type his name correctly) wouldn't?

Agree0 Disagree0

The slug wouldn't even get an offer to manage a championship teams reserve side, And that is not an exaggeration.

As for Jack Lemmon, I think he died over ten years ago. Sorry bud. I thought he was magic in some like it hot. Never mind eh

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 08:35:06
got to laugh, your getting better odds on davie weir ( no mangement experence ) becoming new everton manager than neil lemon. just shows how he is held in such high regard down south, lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 May 2013 10:16:31
Odds not just based on how good a manager is but also on likely availability. What are the odds of mourinho taking the everton job?

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the odds on Ally getting the Everton job?
NL

Agree0 Disagree0

To post 1, better than lemons!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 11:34:26
And what price is Super Ally? A man on a million quid wages and bonus to beat sparks and joiners. Not forgetting all those shares he was given. sorry bought. for 1p each while telling the fans to pay top dollar for theirs.

Agree0 Disagree0

No bookies is offerin better odds on weir being favoured over Lennon no point making up nonsense when u only need to look online for facts!although Everton may favour weir as he would not cost any money where as Lennon would and Everton are not exactly rollin in cash like other teams down south but Martinez will be there next boss to be confirmed this week so u will need to keep on concerning yourself with Neil l

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fans reckon he is too good for Everton. If players or managers are as good as they are made out to be, simple fact is, they would be playing in the EPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez will cost Everton £5million in compensation, so let's see if they really do want Lennon, because he'll be cheaper than that. Pete

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez will be the next Everton manager 100% he will announce he is quitting Wigan in the coming days
