I can only assume ally will rest certain players on saturday as the cup final is the following week. But my question to you is. Would you rest players for the Ramsden Cup Final as we have a more important game the next week or play a full strength team? I personally would rest players.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There are a number of players who should have been '' RESTED'' for every game for a while now. In fact to call it football on occasions they should have been ARRESTED.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP, what, and give youth a chance! Any Manager with any sense would but I will be astonished if it happens. All ally is concerned about is having record books say he was unbeaten for whole season.

well £3.5 million over 6 months roughly £583k /month its alo beer han most thought and surely can be tturned around wih a bi of pruning here and there and I expect a beer kitb deal and better tv and advertising revenues next season but will make interesting reading all is not lost

Believable0 Unbelievable0

@ op, the operating costs increased to almost £17 million for the six months, and you think that's not bad!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully DK has been misquoted in an article on the Rangers rumours now website where one of the alleged business aims is "to close the difference in wage bill between us and Selik"

Surely not Mr King we have been there done that and couldn't sell the tee shirts.

A new business model all together please otherwise your millions won't last very long.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don know what the reason for costs going up but the essential thing is the loss was roughly £583k /month not as bad as was expected and I am quite sure with increased revenues and pruning it will be better next season but only if season tickets sales hold up which in the present climate and team performance now is the time to replace ally before he fans vote with there feet but with out seeing results in detail it could have been a lot worse move some players out new manager with lower wage jack irvines gone green and stockbridge of wage bill directors wages cut we might not be two far away also making it a bit more attractive to any one willing to invest however ill we view he accts in there entirety we can't pass much more comment

Agree0 Disagree0

Stockbridge walked away with £500k Severance that's why it went up. My next guess is the price of season tickets goes back up £50-£100 at renewal.

Agree0 Disagree0

1. )This I hope is a joke? can be turned round? the point is it should have to be bloody turned round. we should be financially stable at this point on our return. We are still losing money at an alarming rate and have nothing in bank other than loan money. (which has to be re-paid). Without our the fans season ticket money they can't go on? how is that not to bad?
3. ) Stockbridge left 24th January 2014. before December so figures not in the interim? as that's when they upto? so in essence his figures still to be deducted in next accounts along with the 1, 5 million loan? chuffing great. could be 2 million out season money before we kick a bal. now that's class accountancy.

Agree0 Disagree0

No iits not a joke there was no way the club would operate profitably for the first 2/3 seasons why so u think murray parks and co let green and co buy the clu b because they knew that tere would be losses but the coming season the revenue streams will go up here is supposed to be a better shirt deal on the tv money and advertising they will be no paymens like paying off stockbridge and company I don't think the club will make a profit next year best will be break even but remember does not matter who is running the club either dave king or the bandits the figures will remain the same

Agree0 Disagree0

Our basics are wrong. We are trying to spend as a top class outfit in the 3rd tier of Scottish football, with scant returns.
The money raised and certain investors have been ripped off by the crew that kept us in football.
As we stand, with DK seeking control and the threat of the season ticket fund, our situation is dire.
It is not investment we need it is a bloody miracle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen up let's get rid of this thieving mob once and for all, grow some meerkats starve them out.

@2 No unfortunately he did say that, its in the DR exclusive. I share your disappointed astonishment at it. Its total cuckoo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spiv for godsake have some sense can u not understand the only way they will go without a bloodbath is buy there shares the club cannot stand anymore financial costa defending legal battles or withheld revenue put the bandits into a corner and they will do whatever it takes to get there money back liquidate the club sell the assets ibrox murray park albion carpark an edmiston house they have the power to do this with the security they hold so think on spiv u go down the starve them out route the actions I have listed could very easily come true and do u have any cast iron promises that d king and co will ride to the rescue they didn't do it the last time for a measly £5/6 million do u think they will plough in £50 million get real the starve route is a bloody minefield

Agree0 Disagree0

We are all forgetting mr wallace has investers standing bye so let's see the grand plan if these investers are on stand bye with plenty of money then alls well that ends well so come on board tell us about these people who are they why has nowt been said to assure us all is well I know what I think and though my opinion is only an opinion I think this 120 days was stalling tactics to clean us out completly

Agree0 Disagree0

Does having a bigger wage bill give a club more perceived value on the stock exchange?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Mar 2014 07:03:52
@12 No. I can understand people grasping at straws but seriously, no. Its just that DK still thinks like SDM. hasn't learned a fickn thing and he's hoping we haven't either.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have said all along wallace must get a chance if there are investers out there only time will tell the results were a bit better than I thought next year the losses wiill be less and if and when we return to spl at best we will hover about break even the only way celtic have been making good profit is from transfersb out and champions league money the bread and butter domestic game only would allow them to break even unfortunely we do not have a manager and coaching saff with the ability to do this another reason why there must be change in the coaching team and a good scouting team in place but whether this will attractn investment I don't know because external investors look for profit fairly quickly and to be honest this is not going to happen so we must depend on either peace breaking out between the present regime or a mixture of supporers trusts and and a dking type investor which most bears would welcome but what ever way it won't be easy but changes in coaching is as urgent as getting investors because if the current product on the field continues revenues will struggle

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave King said in his DR interview that the board told him that the board have investment of £100M at their disposal from instutional investors following Wallaces review. This is why King stepped back and sarcastically said "great boys go ahead" because if others want to put in £100M he doesn't need to put in his money. Dave knows its all lies to buy time, this board won't be in place following Wallaces review. I predict either a massive change in direction when it comes to board changes or mass cuts to the playing squad and fans refusing to hand over season ticket monies. Either way I can not wait for this to be all over we are total embarresment and the meal of the day to the scottish media and our rivals.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ lbj d I know from your posts you are slightly more relieved with the latest 6 months figures but have a wee read at an article on the follow follow site about the figures.
Kind of spoiled in my opinion by the conclusion that only DK can save the day. He may well be a short term improvement but his headline tactic of matching Celtics salary cost is a sad unfunny joke. It will be music to the ears of Ally and his cheerleaders on here but guess what it is not sustainable as even wee Bazza Ferguson realises today. Now if that doesn't raise the option of youth development to a level of blatantly bleedin obvious whatever will?
Another interesting read was Kris Boyd praising Billy Davies as the "best coach he ever played under" Should any hope that he might actually not be coming back to Ibrox be taken from that or is it just more proof that a lot of football people speak without ever engaging the grey cells?
Certainly some manage that way.

Agree0 Disagree0

N15 nothingbutthestruth great post mate let's not rush into anything let's sit back and either way we will find out about the 100 million is it true or just more lies I know what ide put my money on

Do you think there is a chance of a tour to the USA this summer.

Jack the lad

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Eh no? tour of Edinburgh maybe

Agree0 Disagree0

OP-think tour of USA is a non starter, but if D King manages to gain control of the club, I can see a tour of S Africa a big possibility.
once King ploughs in his £30M money won't be a problem.
ally can then fly out the squad 1st class, and between games maybe do a bit of white water rafting.

can anyone enlighten me with 55 players on the books did we sign the lad ross finnie when we have as many players no disrespect to the boy he had only one game a hamilon hen in times supposed austerity we go and add aplayer to the end of he season with the league won when ally won give our own 19year olds a game or is there something I am missing

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't know where the number 55 comes from and can only assume it includes under 16s or something. The way I see it, there's a disconnect between the aspirations and performance out of Murray Park and the step up to the 1st team.

We're top of the league at under 20 level and the step up to play at Ibrox, let's face it, shouldn't be that great right now. I'm looking forward to seeing Wallace's business plan and where Murray park fits into it. The fans want the team to play with flair and grinding out wins with the same old faces isn't endearing McCoist to the majority of support. We're 32 points ahead and wasting a great opportunity to experiment with the youth.

Throwing 30 million quid into the pot carries its own risks as Moyes is finding out at Man Utd.

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes is a good comparison for McCoist, neither has been able to step up to the challenge, Moyes to a team with title ambitions and McCoist to management in general, I can't see Manchester United fans giving Moyes 3 years without drastic improvement. Yes we won the league, but we did it with poor players playing terrible football, even with our defence such as it is we only conceded 15 goals in the league, these are not indications of McCoists managerial prowess simply how easy this league is for a club the size of Rangers with a multi million pound wage bill. We had no need need to sign 30 year olds like Daly, cloggers like Black or dross like Peralta, and don't get me started on 34 year old Simonsen ffs especially after doing the dirty on Neil Alexander, and still McCoist wants to bring in Miller and Boyd.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 55 players is the info the club gives out it does not matter what team or what age group there must be now at least 56 players wwho all must be paid so why do we sign one to end of season with not a great reputation when last season we let dundee utd sign robertson and he had played against us 4 times and could have been signed for not a lot another blunder by ally

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally unlike moyes has very little opposition on a saturday and as far as it goes moyes will do better next season if he gets the chance but I cannot say the same about ally he definetly won't improve and someone higher up he management takes atumble and realise this we are stuck its only o be hoped it it does not take 2 long or crowds will plummet

Agree0 Disagree0

Having seen the effects of McCoist and co's training on the first team, I have no doubt that a lot of the youngsters at the club are not ready to make the step up and while players like Mcleod get left out for the likes of Peralta and Black they never will be.

McCoist can't get internationals to perform against plumbers so he has no chance with kids as reflected in the average age of 27 for the starting 11 and it's still dire!

But despite not telling us one single piece of useful info in 3 years of utter turmoil, his ridiculously high wages, his clueless efforts at football, a stream of half truths and inconsistencies, and possibly worst of all his blatant drum beating WATP sales pitches, he is still considered by some supporters to be the man to lead Rangers into the future!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I can def say I am not one of them some men are born to lead some are born to follow ally is in the latter bracket

Agree0 Disagree0

Ibj what are you talking about? When Dundee utd signed Robertson what kind of reputation did he have? We signed a youth is that not what you want? Forgot we don't play young boys do we? Who made that rumour up? Finnie could turn out to be as good as your hero Robertson give him a chance, ally signs a youth, yet it's another blunder by ally? Do you read what you write ibj d?
