I am not sure why people are saying on here we are signing too many players, amd wages. since last year we lost stella artois, doian, bocanegra, alexander, hemmings, naiysmith, sandaza, kyle. so we have signed eight and lost eight. I realise some of them hardly played for one reason or another but they were still rangers players, and some of them were the clubs highest earners. so the average age, and wages have both fallen since then. even of we sign another two or three as muted, am sure there will be another couple of exits to balance that out by september. so please be calm

however I would still like to see less foreign guys we havnt heard of, and more young british talent being brought in, in the past all we heard is we need to perform in europe, win spl. so cannot blood youngsters. we won't have that for a couple more seasons, so now is the time to really build the team from scratch

Believable0 Unbelievable0

3 of those you say left - had to be paid for this year even though they left.

so wages includes 3 who left + new ones. so could still be higher than last year!

McCoist's eight signings have been absolutely brilliant. The man's a genious. As much as I'd like to see us sign Pandza, which I would, I rate the youngster Gasparotto very highly. We went into this journey understanding that the Murray Park youth would play a big part of it and I hope it continues. Andy Mitchell, another one. Lewis McLeod, well he's probably worth 10 million quid already.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lewis Mcleod worth 10 million! your off your rocker. I am a big fan of mcleod but 10 million.1m max at the moment.

Umm. I'll have a glass of what you're on. Just a small one mind, don't want to blow my head off!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 million oh my god you must be trippin out your tree decent youngter but until rangers start to compete against the hoops no one at ibrox is worth a brass razzoo no ones going to pay for youth and free transfers playing in lower league scottish football christ top division players can't demand transfer fees in that region ffs simmer down wait till you reach the preimeirship ha joke of a name and then start making valuations bud
thommyj

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha are you joking op are you on the sherry there isn't a player near the scottish league worth 10 million and not one worth 1 million at rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

@4. So Wanyama wasn't just sold for 12 million? Best do your homework before posting. I reckon McCleod's a better player than him but gave a 2 million discount based on our current league placement. So yeah, 10 million's about right. Lewis McCleod is of Durrant class and will no doubt get snapped up by Moyes soon enough. Time will tell.

Is nile ranger the next signing at rangers. he's had ranger tattooed on his forehead, no joke.

That's the joke mate, his surname is ranger and this is a RANGERs site. It's clearly very, very complex and difficult to understand!

I woke this morning finding myself thinking about food, football and farting, all is well.
Then I thought about your upcoming game against Albion Rovers tomorrow. I knew then that I just wanted to wish you good luck, I have always supported every Scottish team in Europe Rangers included but always wanted anyone to hump you in the domestic scene, it's my way.
The change of heart is simply because enough is enough, get a few good cup runs, win the leagues and get back to the top flight asap, hopefully all the financial shenanigans will be a thing of the past. So good luck Rangers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nice one gbhoy but I hope you get humped in EVERY game you play and if your not playing I hope your reserves get humped its my way so let's not patronise each other.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, a nice honest post minis the bull. Well said mate, too many diddys on here from both sets of supporters spouting absolute garbage, hatred and biased views. Nice to see an honest post.

@1, A Celtic fan comes on with an olive branch, and you come out with this drivel.
It is bears like you that make me glad I am a Celtic fan, enjoy your Ramsden Cup adventure as that is about your team's level just now, and even then you cannot progress to later stages.
On the plus side with next draw being held in a Ramsden shop Ally may get some extra transfer money lol Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 that's a good one timalloy, I've hurt your feelings have I? Your not known for being sympathetic to our cause you know and the OP says he usually wants anyone to hump us, well just because he's changed his mind does not mean that I should don a tic shirt and cheer you on against the germans--- quite the opposite in fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 you see m8 you are the reason the guy was saying he didn't want to be patronised, YOU pal are the whole problem, gbhoy was nice and seemed sincere, it wasnt take in that manner, but you seen that and pounced on it?, you used Gbhoys decency and turned it into something else, then, because the guy didn't want to accept it for what it was YOU decided to get on ure keypad and attack all Rangers fans?, It had nothing to do with you, gbhoy sent a message and it wasnt reciprocated, then you attacked the guy who didn't accept it? how do we move on from that then Einstien?
well said gbhoy, you are obviously a step above, Tommyblue

@5: care to give up your thoughts on the first reply too, seeing as they have no decency either? Or will you draw the line at having a go at your fellow fans?

Does Lawwell want Lennon to resign? Just seems odd that they have all that cash in the bank from CL and player sales but can not sign a decent striker. Big game coming up next week and an under strength squad, makes no sense. Can see Celtic going out to the Swedes.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's just trying to box smart, no point in buying a 5/7m player who will wants at least 25k min a week on a 3 year deal. Over all one player would cost in excess of 10 to 12m over 3 years. It's about finding young gems then punt them for profit.

Not wanting to rub salt in but rangers chased big signings & spend a good few million on a few players & look what happened there.

PL is just trying to run the club to the best of his ability, Lennon said if they get 4/5 seasons in the group stages then the club could buy players at a good few million as we will have best part of 15m a season from CL. that's not garenteed so until or if we ever get 4/5 seasons back to back (which I believe we won't) then celtic can spend.

1) I'm a gers fan but I think they will sign a big name striker very soon, I think they were waiting on cooper leaving at one point I didn't think he would leave lol the striker might be in, in time for cl but if no surely they will still have enough to get through, will they? W. A. T. P.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of nonsense. It is hard to attract players to the Scottish game, it is after all ranked poorly in Europe Celtic have signed a CB and a CF and there is no doubt at least one more will arrive.

Agree0 Disagree0

And you call us obsessed. Lol haven't you got a big ramsden cup game coming up

@6/ Irish mafia? that's pretty laughable when a Rangers investor is on Interpols most wanted list! The problem with Rangers at the minute is too many people taking large amounts out of the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2013 17:25:33
@6: what's he lied about? Don't you see the irony of a Rangers fan accusing another team's CEO of lying to fans?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jul 2013 04:52:58
@6 I may be daft but can you please let me know who is on Interpols most wanted list,? and how he can make investments without being traced down and arrested? I went to skool with a guy on that list and I can assure you, he ain't doing much investing, ( well not legally anyway )

Agree0 Disagree0

Guess celtic are building a war chest, from gaurentee CL money - so when RFC return to top league - they have £10m warchest and we dont.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's more like we want our club to survive and last for another 100+ years and not to bust like we all know who. Just cause we have money dosent mean we need to spend it all, but good to see how it gets to you how we don't go spending mad. For the club staying around is the most important thing!

Seen that advert on the Rangers site? "Rangers its your legacy" - with Grandad, his son and the grandson smiling as they walk towards Ibrox. What a load of tosh, what PR firm do Rangers use? Looks like a Nazi or Soviet Union propaganda poster. Pathetic. Cheap.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Jul 2013 11:54:40
1) Chill man your getting all worked up over an advert? Now breathe and count to 10! That's it use you fingers lol nah honest its only an advert mate at the end of the day

Mohsni told Rangers' website: "I think it is a chance to prove that I can play in the top league"! Did ally tell him what league he will be playing in? Pmsl!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What he actually said was that he hopes his two year contract will mean that, by the time rangers have reached the premier league, he will be deserving of another contract because he has proved that he is a good footballer.

Taking things out of context and misquoting isn't very clever. tut tut.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1/ Which leads to the question does Ally not rate him good enough to play in the SPL? Why a two year deal?

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing no 8, does McCoist know what league he is playing in? he is a corporate puppet with no idea about football, how anyone can take him serious is beyond me.

Smokey Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

#2 managers have no say in contracts shame too many of my fellow bears can't grasp that

Agree0 Disagree0

@4/ rubbish. The contract length is probably the one thing a manager will have a say in.

Why do we need all these players to win league 1?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because McCoist is an awful manager, have you not been paying attention for the last 2 terrible seasons?

Agree0 Disagree0

We are Rangers, that is the answer to your question

we are expected to win every game, to win 4 leagues on the trot, to compete in 3 cups, to justify why 30odd thousand people should pay hard earned money to pack out Ibrox every other week

If the general consensus from last season is a benchmark to start from then I fail to see why we don't need all these players

Cammy Bell is a necessity, I'm going to assume no-one has a problem with us bringing in a keeper after losing our other one

The fans moaned about the defence, we have brought in 3 new

The fans moaned we didn't control games, we have brought in 2 central midfielders

The fans moaned that we didn't score enough goals, we have brought in 2 strikers

Rangers are building a team for the next few seasons, not just for League 1, the quicker people accept and understand this the better

Agree0 Disagree0

Above post spot on! ^^^^^^

Agree0 Disagree0

Cause if we don't we would get diddys like you moaning we don't win and get put out the cups
