Look, what's buggin my t£ts, its obvious the 433 or rotation around it works brilliant in Europe against attacking or want-to-win teams, hats off to the coaching staff with the hard work and fit for purpose tactics.
Why the feck can't/ couldn't they come up with a winning structure to combat the park-the-bus double bank teams in the SPL? They know it's going to happen, it's been months to set a game plan, there's players that can be used in different roles, transfer windows to get the right blend to counter it but we're still naive with 1-dimensional tactics
Anyway we'll done the boys for delivering ia Europe master class 🥳.

Stevie flatley turned the request down. Sating we don't follow what the $hite do. Then Alfie passed this on to his team mates. And thus a split happend. Kamara seems too placid to pick fights , pick on the placid guy huh 🤔 it’s a no brainer that Morelos wasn’t needing to make up fitness for the immediate return as he wouldn’t be playing due to suspension like the rest who were, plus what better way to try get him to sign this new contract? All about the team when on fire Morelos has proven time and time again he’s electric so yes do all in your power to keep him under a new contract either to build up his price or even better to hopefully be there to stop the ten with obvious interest building as he’s the Europa top goal scorer . That’ll be why he was given the nod to come out to Dubai later, as I said No Brainer.

Wanted to share a secret, we're not doing bad in the league! Hear me out, 2 seasons ago we finished 3 points behind Aberdeen, last season we finished about 11 points ahead of Kilmarnock who finished 3rd we improved to 2nd, this season we are already 22 points comfortable in 2nd with a game in hand so could go 25 points comfortable, with about 11 games left to play, Celtic have lost twice we have lost 3 times, had we beat Celtic that would be the other way around and we've shown we can beat them royally .
Anyway what I'm saying is we are doing well, we're still in the rise and a lot of our young players have gained in experience and confidence, Aribo, Kent, Edmundson, Morelos, katic and even Hagi now are all still young remember and learning n learning, the only reason we think we're doing badly in the league is because Celtic are doing better, but there's no doubt Gerrard and the team have vastly improved, and keep improving.
A poster said it's fantasy we can win the Europa, no it's not, we have lost 3 times all season, 4 times if u include the Celtic cup final of which I don't it was robbery, that's in all competitions, we've had our injuries, suspensions, no luck with refs, weather conditions (wind etc 🤔) and through it all we have been hard to beat, Braga found out how hard we are to beat and Ryan jack and hagi weren't wrong to basically say we're confident whoever we get in europa .
Don't get me wrong I'm not EXPECTING we win europa, I'm not saying speaking of winning it isn't a bit premature maybe save that talk for quarter finals onwards if we make it that far . If we get put out in next round I'll be the first to say 'well that was a brilliant run regardless and thanks for the great results and performances!
What I am saying is that I agree with jack and hagi, performance wise in the Europa league to date dictates that we have no reason to fear anyone given we can stick to the level we've been producing, and YES we CAN win it on that basis, not saying we're favourites or going to definitely win it etc I'm just saying it's certainly not out with the realms of possibility given how we have been approaching each game 👍.

We are doing terribly domestically. Even look at our goal difference compared to Celtic's. Last season it looked like we took a big jump closer to them, this year they've pulled out of sight again.

Barasic is a great striker of the ball so I think he’s worth a go. Everyone else you could think of has missed. Tav missed too many to be back on them, he’ll have a mental block now.

Hagi or Tav, both are excellent at penalties, forget the boo boys that Exocet every single penalty to never be missed etc soon as u miss your out n sht, some are missed some are saved, Hagis was saved, wasn’t a bad penalty, Tav missed when hit the post etc but still has a great record if your not of the notion every single oebskty should be put away like your in fantasyland, Tav or Hagi and support them ✌️.

Hate to say it but league is gone for this year. Think we will take points of them in last two old firms but and they will drop one or two here and there but not enough to turn it around the damage has been done against killie hearts and saints.
Believe we have great chance of scottish Cup and with a decent draw advance to quarters is definitely achievable.

Folk on here are far too quick to cast off players for a loss of form as suddenly s***e! 🤔. Ryan Kent is an extremely talented player who's lost confidence and form, simple as that!
Class is permanent and form is temporary and kenty will get back to his very best and there's not one ounce of doubt it. Get behind the guy and back him through his form slump instead of climbing all over his back. Get behind all our players and the manager steven gerrard! 👏👍.

we always do better when facing teams who want to attack us, suits our game of holding the ball, but the Scottish teams have 10 men behind the ball and our favoured system of keeping the ball is too slow, when there few attacks break up we are too slow in getting the ball forward.

Last night we fought and deserved the plaudits. if I'm being critical . then the difference last night was we faced a, team whom the onus was on to force openings.
This suited us but in the SPL we still don't have variety and creativity to break organised defences down . this is why Europe fits our team playing style but the same style doesn't win SPL titles. we need a creative spark from our midfield .

Swagman, for once I tend to agree with you. These things, if they do get accepted, will take 2/ 3/ 4 years to come into force, which will give us time to catch up. We only have 3 yrs worth at the moment. Until the meat is put on the bone, nobody can say whether it will be good or bad.
As Geronomo says why should the tail i. e. Aberdeen, Motherwell, and Killie etc, have a say in where we qualify.

Actually Brian gers we have 2 decent years at the moment and they are talking about 10 year history, so if it’s in 3 years time we will have a 5 year record against a proposed ten year record, bad idea for us, think about it 🤔.

IMO regarding the results in Europe, do you think the team have slightly less pressure on them in Europe? Just think that, at the start of the season people would have been glad to see them just qualify from there group, then anything past that was a bonus.
Think there is more pressure on the team in the league. Let's not forget we were easily the best team in the league cup final and beat them comfortably in the last old firm game.
Also I like to see the whole team celebrating together when they score a goal and win.

I always want to rangers to win every trophy of any competition, they participate in. However i've been asked a question today at work, if rangers were definitely to win one or the other, ie. the europa league or the scottish cup, which one would i prefer us to win? My answer was without doubt the europa league and lifting that big uefa trophy. So which one would other fellow bears prefer us to win? 🤔.

Obviously the Europa League over the Scottish Cup. Easily.
Re the European v domestic form, Europe does suit us due to us being able to counter quickly. Most of our European goals come from quick moves rather than sustained pressure. The formula works in Europe.
We need to now find a formula that works domestically. I really hope the manager starts to look at different formations or personnel as what we’ve been playing hasn’t been working.

Prior to Gerrard coming as manager, every team came to Ibrox thinking they had a chance at beating us!
Gerrard turned Ibrox back into a fortress and we now have teams sitting in with everyone behind the ball waiting for that one opportunity to score.
That’s why our defence needs to be more switched on in the SPFL.
It’s why you’re Kent’s, Aribo and Hagi’s need to find that killer pass.
It’s why Morelos, Defoe etc need to be more clinical in front of goal.
And yes, occasionally, Gerrard needs to find a Plan B or mix it up a wee bit👍.

The reason we play better in Europe has nothing to do with less pressure it’s to do with style of play, look at last night Hagis pass for the goal was about twenty five yards out over the top for Kent to run onto, in the SPL teams sit in and there is no space to play in the game gets bogged down into the eighteen yard box, we need the midfielders to get up to support Alfie and more important we need to shoot more from around the box.

Very nice mate. I did say yesterday morning that we would win last night because Europe suits us.
Look, I would love nothing more than to be wrong, and the manager win the treble next season, I really would. But I just haven’t seen any evidence that he’s learned his lesson domestically.
Hopefully he accepts the league is gone and uses the remaining league games to try out new formations and solutions to try to beat these “low block” teams. If he does and we start beating the bottom sides by 3 and 4 goals like the mhanks do I’ll be the first one to say congratulations and I was wrong.
Sadly I don’t think that will be the case and I think he’ll play the 4-3-2-1 to death until it costs us next season’s title too.
Time will tell and I genuinely hope I’m wrong. 👍.

I think kamberi was just over eager last night in relation to offsides, he’s probably never experienced many teams with such a high line and if he has not at that level, he did well in his other play though. Good player shame he’s not available for Saturday. let’s hope Morelos can get his game back on. Track Saturday and we ll be looking good again.

Having looked at some of the teams left there is plenty potentially good ties. Would be happy enough to face either Malmo or Wolfsburg, Basel, Sporting or Porto. Would also love it if we got one of the english sides.

danish team top of the league
polish team top of their league
portugal teams 2nd 3rd respectively
swiss team joint top
dutch 3rd in league!
now what do you think about mr gerrards achievements? nothing short f brilliant in my opinion.

In Europe he's done amazing tactically. We are much better when teams actually try and play football and not park a truck in front of goal. that's why we dominated last night and smashed Celtic about the place in December. think we'll win 1-0 against hearts but it'll be back to the same struggles all because hearts will set up camp.
Still think kamberi should be our new no1 striker. Purely based on both his and Morelos' performances the last couple games.
Wheres the kent haters now?
Gerrard spot on last night. can we win this europa cup. mind says no. Heart says yes. After tonight we'll see who's left. definitely Copenhagen anyway.

morning bears! well what a result! please let's not underestimate what we have achieved over the last 2 seasons . up until last night there were 4 portuguese teams in the europa league . more than any other country so that just shows the level of football there! i think after last nights win that should guarantee champions league football next season? and an extra scottish team in european competition . this is because of our club not anyone else! yes celtic are there too but without our achievements over the last 2 seasons scottish football would have suffered even more! (as it has done for many years) i would love to think that we will get some recognition and respect from the powers that be, the media and clubs alike, as the financial rewards start to flood in! but i doubt it . in other countries they really look after their clubs with moving fixtures giving supporters time off work . etc i really do believe the sfa and the like have to be taken apart and rebuilt they are poisoned and rotten to the core some say they are clueless? i disagree i think they know exactly what they have done and are doing! once again well done to the famous and respected (in europe) rangers football club!
