27 Dec 2019 21:45:37
I've read a lot about Shankland, but watched him again tonight and have to say I don't think he's the man for us. Scoring goals where he's been up to this point. But at top of SPL and in Europe? Not for me. First time post so go easy.

27 Dec 2019 22:40:07
Very very average.

27 Dec 2019 22:52:47
I agree, the lad is a good player as is Nicky Clark but not Rangers class. Thought Dorrans played really well and his goal was top class.

27 Dec 2019 18:24:07
After a draw you usually get the old "I would've taken a draw before the game". So here it is before the game. Would you take a draw right now?

27 Dec 2019 19:06:57
Yes. Absolutely although I said that before the cup final and was gutted console we played. If we play to full potential we will scud them.

27 Dec 2019 19:47:39
I'd be over the moon with a draw truth be told!

27 Dec 2019 19:53:18
No, we are a better footballing side than them.
If we play to our potential again and take our chances this time we will destroy them. 👍
It’s all about the 3 points for me.

27 Dec 2019 20:00:38
Rangers are due a good win against Celtic. My only concern is our weakest link - Tav. They will know this. However I'm still going for Celtic 0, Rangers 2.

27 Dec 2019 20:11:37
87 hendo, how can a draw work in a cup, i remember your comment, do you mean us to win in extra time, or on penalties, cause a cup final can't be settled on a draw.

27 Dec 2019 21:38:45
Stuck, Tav is our weakest link and yet Steven Gerard picks him every game and has him lead the team.

By maintaining this anti Tav nonsense you are calling our manager an idiot!

27 Dec 2019 21:40:39
The stuck. Tav has been magnificent for us since the day he signed. Yeah some mistakes but if he was perfect he’d be playing for a top team outwith the spl. Cannot stand this ridiculous criticism of one of our best players. SG has him as his captain. I’m pretty certain his judgement is better than yours.

27 Dec 2019 22:34:06
Would take a draw, but think a win is achievable.

27 Dec 2019 23:32:55
We are not a due a win anywhere, a bit like like Hamilton saying they are due at Ibrox, we have to earn a win every game, its not a case of its our turn!

28 Dec 2019 09:29:13
I think we need the win guys.

28 Dec 2019 09:44:47
A draw no good guys if we want title! We are a strong powerful side and I go into game very confident! 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

28 Dec 2019 09:45:25
Well, let's hope Tav has a great game tomorrow because he's undropable. I'm entitled to my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Tav is our weakest link.

28 Dec 2019 13:10:10
Stuck, no one says you are not entitled to an opinion. I have two issues though.

1. As a fan, why do you insist on highlighting negatives and telling the world that our captain is weak?
2. Our manager clearly rates Tav - since you have the opposite view that makes one of you incompetent on football matters.

27 Dec 2019 17:41:10
Here's a question, if we fail to win the league this year does SG get a crack at it next year with so much at stake? Does it depend on the points difference? say anything between 1 and 6 point gap he gets another crack and anything greater than 6 then he doesn't get a crack?

27 Dec 2019 18:52:40
Unless we come 3rd SG gets my vote. We consistently punch above our weight in Europe with teams on 10 times our budget, were a close second to Celtic and pretty much humping all others. Robbed in the final, what more could he and the players do on the budget we have.

27 Dec 2019 19:02:25
From my own point of view of course steven gerrard remains our manager for next season, if we do happen to lose out on the league title this season. He's signed a new contract don't forget, it continually changing manager's, achieves nothing. He's improving rangers in every way big style and we must allow this drive and continuity to continue with stevie G at the helm! I'm looking on the positive side that gerrard will win the league title this season anyway. Onwards and upwards for me.
We're now really close to overtaking the "ANTHILL MOB", in my opinion anyway.

27 Dec 2019 19:14:35
Suit we are stuck wi him win lose or draw he has an extended contract and if we wanted rid it would bankrupt our club unless he just agreed to leave without compensation or the rumours of a billionaire backer are true.

27 Dec 2019 20:03:30
No need to worry chaps, Rangers will win the league this season, simple as that.

27 Dec 2019 20:31:22
Steven, gerrard loyal, ime with you on your post, in mr gerrard we trust, be it this season or next, w. a. t. p.

27 Dec 2019 20:37:27
Sir Walter 1, that's some statement,
'we are stuck with him'! I'm glad we're as you put it, stuck with Steven Gerrard as our manager. The improvement in our club from when he became our manager, 'till now is superb and there for all to see! Said from the outset, that steven gerrard will win the league as rangers manager! Get behind the guy and our players!

27 Dec 2019 21:57:22
If Gerrard had been appointed back then instead of Warburton or Caixhina we'd be there by now. Believe in SG.

27 Dec 2019 22:19:51
Steve g shall leave if we don't win a trophy this season. That's only my opinion. 1 point 7 points makes no difference as 2nd is 2nd.

27 Dec 2019 22:59:43
We are stuck with each other Sir Walter. I believe you don't get what it takes to be a Ranger. However being a Ger and a Scot i'm open to your opinion.

28 Dec 2019 09:56:08
Suit, doesn't matter who's in charge stakes still high. IMO SG still man improving gers and man for foreseeable future. IAH can't see past guy. Most fans must see he's best gers manager in decades and may I say at mo very difficult to replace anyway.

28 Dec 2019 17:03:34
We need stability and to let a manager build something. sscking managers every 2 years helps no one. Gerrard has done a magnificent job, hope he's here s few years yet.

27 Dec 2019 16:13:23
We were talking about it on the way home from ibrox yesterday and were all in agreement that we can't afford to lose at breeze block boulevard on Sunday. I'm quite sure most rangers supporters would agree here. Having said that i'm feeling positive and really do fancy us to beat them on Sunday 2-1.

I think a draw wouldn't be disastrous for us either though! I also have a sneaking feeling morelos will score against them. Mon the gers! Usually at all our games but I haven't got a ticket for sunday. Will be watching with family and friends though cheering on the most successful football club in football, with high intensity just as if i was at the game! 👍👏.

27 Dec 2019 16:57:06
Have a ticket looking forward to it. Have a feeling morelos will score also.

27 Dec 2019 17:00:27
I always think they'll win😨😨 call it inner fear or whatever but that's how this game gets me, always has! Anyone else like that?

27 Dec 2019 17:04:00
No matter what happens I’ll still support Rangers on Monday morning, I won’t call for SG to be sacked.
I may high light poor performance, but will be constructive, unlike some who describe our players as piss, shiittt or dug meat.

27 Dec 2019 17:09:23
Could just as easily be 3.0 to the Gers . it might all come good . an early goal could make the difference.

27 Dec 2019 17:35:49
Totally with you John25 and echo everything you say pal! 👍.

27 Dec 2019 19:21:14
John every Gers supporter has that inner fear tho some won't admit it.

We have supported our club through all these years since our demise and won't give up till the club realy does die.

Even then we will never give up our RANGERS heritage.

27 Dec 2019 20:28:52
Suit, no.

27 Dec 2019 21:13:14
Usually when you make predictions coop, you usually put the kiss of death onto us and the opposite happens. Anyway merry Xmas my friend and I hope to god you get this 1 right.

27 Dec 2019 21:25:09
Molsgoals, is it just me, or does anybody else think there are imposters ie celtic supporters on this thread, talking about our denise, and suggesting we are beatin already. funny, funny thread, imo.

27 Dec 2019 13:21:26
Here's a question who would be happy to win every league game from here until the end of the season 1 nil (guarenteed) which would mean we defeat Celtic twice and also win the title or keep plugging away in the league as we are currentlyand also see how far we can go in the Scottish cup and Europa league as well as having the uncertainty in the league.

27 Dec 2019 14:08:37
Obviously everyone would be happy to win every game 1 nil, it would mean we would win the league🤷‍♂️👍.

27 Dec 2019 14:28:49
Is this a serious question? Win the league every single time. Europa league is a luxury. We need to stop 10 at all costs and there's no better way to do it than stopping them getting 9.

27 Dec 2019 14:39:13
Daft no brainer question 😂😂😂.

27 Dec 2019 15:03:00
An odd question. I know it's hypothetical but why ask it? It's never happened in the history of football.

27 Dec 2019 15:08:02
Bleeding, stupid question, gers winning everything is all. Don't care score. If we win Sunday 1-0 finishing with 9 men I don't give Damn, it's a victory, three points, victory at piggery, top of league and joy to the world. Christ Morelos off almost damned certainty.

27 Dec 2019 15:43:40
Would every body be happy to be given 1 million quid every week and give up work followed by getting a lift to every game by Gerrard or just keep working as per usual.

27 Dec 2019 17:06:24
Tjbb not taking a pay cut for anyone mate.

27 Dec 2019 18:58:00
John25, Banning rolls in sausage or taking a pay cut. (Morton roll)

27 Dec 2019 20:27:22
John25, good answer mate, it put a smile on my face, but you best watch there are no tic men reading, or your getting reported to h. m. r. c. Just, to make sure your not using ant tax loops mate, lol,

27 Dec 2019 13:08:03
Was just chuckling away at popcorn teeth's rant at the sheep chairman Dave Cormack after he criticised big Bambi Ajer for feigning injury and conning the ref. A wee change for us not to bd involved, though I"m sure the buffalo will end up with a 2 match ban for his part in the affair lol.

Tbh, looking at internet footage of the incident, I did think it was a red card. Yes, Cosgrove missed Ajer but the intent was there and it was reckless. Apparently the thumb made more or less the same challenge on Ferguson, unsurprisingly not incurring the same punishment.

I did not see that incident so cannot comment. For all of you advocating our signing of Cosgrove, fine if you'll be happy to see him sitting in the stand! If he joins us he will be sent off more times than I've had hot dinners, and I've had a lot.

27 Dec 2019 13:45:13
Ibrox, don't think c bear giving you good advice. Taylor a hotel and Foundry a restaurant. Stick with local boy, only 10 miles from Killie!

27 Dec 2019 14:54:40
Cosgrove I think yellow as he was clipped however Ajer was not in Cosgroves direct direction of travel if he was then straight red for endangering an opponent with excessive force whether he touched him or not. Thumb straight red for stomping on LFs knee.

27 Dec 2019 21:14:26
Can’t stand Ajer. Any incident of any sorts and he has to run up and get involved but walks away like a frightened wee lassie when anyone stands up to him. Also cosgrove to Rangers not for me.

27 Dec 2019 13:13:13
Team for Sunday in a 442 formation

Mcgregor

Flannigan
Goldson
Katic
Barasic

Tav
Davis
Jack
Kent

Defoe
Morelos

The reason I have went for a change in formation is it provides better balance in the team. We have a natural right sided player and it is solid at the back with plenty of options going forward. I just feel this is a game we can't afford to lose and we won't dominate as they will have a natural CF playing this time with home advantage.

27 Dec 2019 13:37:51
You can dream but it ain't going to happen. He won't change to an un-trialed formation. well actually it was trialed and was a disaster so not sure how you would think it would bring a balance to the team.

27 Dec 2019 13:42:39
Not a chance. Flannagin isint fitabd we never play 2 up front either. I would be testing JJ (for maybe the last 20 mins) against Frimpong. Kent won't get much change against him I don't think.

27 Dec 2019 14:13:24
Why would you go to Porkheid and change the system?
Go and attack them and let’s win this match! We proved in the Cup final we are more then a match and let’s go for it🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

27 Dec 2019 14:40:37
Just going to keep scrolling on this one.

27 Dec 2019 15:47:53
No 442 for me on sunday pal, as its not a game for tinkering when we never play that system! My starting 11 against celtic on sunday would be-
Mcgregor
Tav
Goldson
Katic
Barisic
Davis
Jack
Arfield
Aribo
Morelos
Kent
Simple as that for me!

27 Dec 2019 16:10:25
Sorry mate there’s not a single chance that will be the team for Sunday.

27 Dec 2019 16:32:43
Steven Gerrard loyal. I'm with you on that team.

27 Dec 2019 17:51:40
Suit . imagine Stevie went fir anything like that team and we got beat? It would be carnage . even on here . Team are playing great why tinker . all we need is a tad luck and it will be our day . it will come . Probably Alfredo putting it through foster legs or him punching in his own net . The luck has to change and they know it and will be terrified 👍.

27 Dec 2019 20:20:22
Paul ime the same as you here mate, don't know why, lol, just my suspicious mind maybe, but poster also predicts we will lose alfie, in january for 11 million, you couldn't get an old pair of alfies boots for 11 million, i smell a rat, is that the saying,?

27 Dec 2019 12:44:12
Hey there, heading to the in-laws for a couple of days in Kilwinning. Whereabouts can I watch the game on Sunday in like minded company these days?

27 Dec 2019 13:02:13
There's the orange but I think it might be tickets only. Really anywhere except Taylor's (which is the only local Celtic haunt) . The Foundry in the main street would be my choice.

27 Dec 2019 13:18:22
Ibrox, you'll be in my part of world, but Christ Kilwinning! Catholics almost outlawed in Kilwinning. Town so blue its unreal. But try market bar, good pub, not tic fan in sight, except possible invaders tho doubt that. Been Kilwinning many times, personally prefer Number 0.Dont worry if your not in craft. No problem, as bluenose you'll be welcomed with open arms. Just scrub up a bit. No jeans, T shirts etc.

27 Dec 2019 13:33:05
Thanks lads. Haven’t watched a game there in years so that’s helpful. I remember Taylor’s (The Claremont) . I’ll try Number 0 or The Foundry. Thanks again and hope you’ve all had an excellent Christmas.

27 Dec 2019 12:26:03
Aribo showing his class again yesterday with the assist for Morelos.
His close control and movement with the ball at the feet in tight situations is unbelievable at times.
The lad is getting better and better.

27 Dec 2019 13:43:15
Cant disagree with that.

27 Dec 2019 17:57:22
My only prob with Aribo, and I love the boy, is when he is one on one, and has to beat the opponent to get by and in on a chance he usually fails . Might be a confidence thing and hopefully will come . Kent a but similar . They are amazing beating players in the middle of the park, but when it’s crucial, their bottle goes. as I say hopefully it will come . Gazza . loudo. Mols . you would put your house on them beating last defender . We need them to do that more and deliver👍.

27 Dec 2019 11:09:54
Usually this sort of “news” doesn’t get a second look from me, however reading he paper this morning I seen an article about Lee Griffthis and how his missus got a bar built in their home. Again not all that interesting. The hit that caught my eye was the lighting, she’s only gone and made all the the lighting around the bar BLUE!

Even she it Rangers in the brain! Made me chuckle anyway.

27 Dec 2019 16:15:35
I seen a rangers fan with a green Christmas tree. Must have celtic on the brain lol.

27 Dec 2019 21:52:23
Hendo87, she was obviously thinking ahead, after all we all like a nice clean bar to flatten the silver paper on, lol. lovl.

27 Dec 2019 10:28:06
The next few weeks are going to be a real test of our character and resiliance as a squad and club because there is the real prospect of going into the winter break 8 points behind albeit with a game in hand and coming out of the winter break minus Morelos. I'll be astounded if he doesn't leave in January. There is no chance that there will be no offers coming in next month. The 3 factors that will determine whether he stays or goes is how desperate are we to keep him?, how desperate is he to stay/ leave?, and how desperate is our financial situation? Anything over the £10m mark and the board will give it serious consideration i feel. This is a massive few weeks ahead!

27 Dec 2019 11:39:17
I'm a glass half-full person suit, so we could equally go into the winter break only 2 points behind with a game in hand and possibly a better goal difference. Even a draw at the piggery wouldn't be a disaster. I do believe SG has already stated that Morelos is going nowhere in January. It would be crazy to sell him halfway through the season when we at last have a real chance of winning the league. I think he will go in the summer, especially if he helps win the league with 40+ goals.

27 Dec 2019 11:42:52
The board has stated as has S. G that he wouldn’t be sold. If he continues to bang in the goals then his value will only go up.

27 Dec 2019 12:26:38
Anything over the 10 million must be seriously considered? That would mean 11m must be seriously considered. I like most bears would be extremely p! $$ed off if a bid like that was not seriously laughed at!

27 Dec 2019 13:44:48
10 million? You serious? Mate honestly have a word with yourself.

27 Dec 2019 15:50:39
I'm with you DOIGER! I'm also a glass half full person. We're so very capable of beating that mob on sunday mate! 👍.

27 Dec 2019 21:53:36
As1974, I've already stated i think there are some imposters on here, mate.

27 Dec 2019 10:03:24
Sitting in my backside earlier and was looking at our squad. One thing that strikes me is how short we are on the RHS.
Tav is our RB. Flanagan has been playing on the left and Polster doesn’t look like he’s going to make the grade.
Tav also seems to be our best option on the right wing, granted this is the job of a RWB we don’t really have any one else to do this.

Jordan Jones is arguable our only right winger, we’ve also tried Aribo and Arfield out there.
In my opinion we need another quality LB (to utilise Flanagan in his correct position) amd a right sided attacker!
