HOLIDAYS HOLIDAYS! By Christ I'll gie them HOLIDAYS!

29 Apr 2017 10:08:58
if holidays are what they want tell them to go sign on.

27 Apr 2017 17:08:22
Bit annoyed with supporters slagging off pedro already he's not the first old firm debutant to get it wrong in the dugout. I myself was dissapointed the way we were set-up but he's new to scottish football and unlike warburton seems to be willing to change things and has the ability to learn about the league and players that's why he brought in jj. He needs the chance to work with his own players that he trusts and knows. These players are just lazy and wouldn't know hard work if it slapped them in the face. Surely things will only get better. Let's see how he sets up on saturday. If we can spot the problems so can he.

27 Apr 2017 18:51:58
JD90

He isn't slagged off he is getting criticised for this team selection and lack of fight in the team. It's part and parcel of being a manager. No one saying he has to go or not giving him a chance just pointing out where he went wrong. Isn't that what sites like this are for? To discuss our team and where it went wrong or right?

27 Apr 2017 19:02:29
Fair enough Pedro got team selection and formation wrong, but the desire within the team wasn't there, I hope that this wasn't due to the players already thinking that the Gaffer had set them up the wrong way but who knows. Also I do think we started better in the 2nd half and if the penalty didn't happen the team may have got things together but we didn't deserve it!

Plus just heard Browns red card got changed to a yellow, now I don't think I've got the blue tinted specs on but I did think it was a red and the reason this got changed was due to the Halliday tackle the people who have made this decision HAVE taken this into account they shouldn't but I def think they have.

I've got a feeling that the game at Ibrox will be tasty! Its the last game and I think that our lads AND the ugly bhams are going to be having some banter winding each other up and someone is going to go through a player. So my prediction is that Browns going to take the bait OR he's going to wind up one of our boys.

I don't think Halliday should play but I would love to be 2-3 up wi 5-10mins to go and put him on just for that just too put Brown in the Stand in fact do not care what the score is we need to make a mark in this game and let Brenda AND Pedro know what this game is all about and crave next Season.
Its going to be a firey one Bears and I hope so ;)

27 Apr 2017 19:25:01
Ok bengy calm down lol! Someone on here actually said if the players aren't keen on the training methods then pedro should look at going. Like wtf

27 Apr 2017 19:37:58
Totally calm JD90 only expressing my opinion

27 Apr 2017 19:40:01
Andy1872

I wouldn't have Halliday, Garner or Waghorn in the squad let alone the team on Saturday. All worse than useless waste of a wage and jersey

27 Apr 2017 22:38:05
Bengy I agree. Halliday Wags AND Kiernan array top of my list to go with others! All I'm saying is in a perfect world and we ate 3 up with 5-10mins to go then somebody puts Brown in the Stand! In fact it'd be a really nice going away gift from big Hill. C'mon the Gers

27 Apr 2017 23:33:26
Charming man you Andy

28 Apr 2017 00:05:11
Yeah but we'd share it Brendan ;)

28 Apr 2017 06:45:44
Put Brown up in the stand? To do that the players will actually need to tackle

28 Apr 2017 08:48:18
Bit hard to make a team selection when you have players saying they don't want to play (Toral) . also according to Caixinha they didn't play to his plan, now that could either be a communication problem or our players don't care, for some I think it's just a wage!

28 Apr 2017 10:18:55
I agree with andy72.Someone put Brown into the stand.

29 Apr 2017 12:12:08
we have 6 games left and the manager won't make us into a better footballing side in that short time he needs to be left to build his own team and hopefully he gets the funds to do this

27 Apr 2017 15:21:50
Hodson injured and on crutches so looks like out for season, we appear to be getting rather serious injuries since Pedro took over, Hill been out for 3/ 4 wks, Kiernan the same and Wallace had an op due to stomach muscle which he had been carrying.
Wonder if Pedro's training is to do with some of these.

27 Apr 2017 15:49:58
Since Pedro took over? What about all the players that got injured while warburton was here?

27 Apr 2017 16:58:41
Ridiculous comment every team suffers injuries but hey blame the new manager

27 Apr 2017 17:15:09
There has been an increase recently.

27 Apr 2017 17:22:23
They were all unfit and the new managers training is too tough for them . let's see how they all do with a proper pre season under their belts.

27 Apr 2017 17:26:41
Thanks for a sensible reply Blueshaun.

27 Apr 2017 17:27:59
What's ridiculous about it? For all we now this might be the case, where did I blame the manager anyway?

27 Apr 2017 17:35:04
Il assume joscro and scrojo are the same guy!? Must be to back up that nonsense lol

{Ed001's Note - they do have the same IP.....}

27 Apr 2017 18:11:18
What nonsense oh wise one?

27 Apr 2017 18:12:39
Very sad

27 Apr 2017 18:51:37
Wallace has had his hernia for weeks hardly the managers fault. Stop looking for reasons to blame the manager, you won't get hurt training hard it's when you train like arsenal you get hurt lol.

27 Apr 2017 19:01:45
If Hodson is out then I think we should play Atayaki on the Right OR McKay! I know its a massive game for a debut for someone at his age but dam it. If not then we need to start playing McKay down the Right he is obviously lacking confidence and if we do play him then play him in his suited position.

Its maybe time to give the LW to O'halloran or Forrester with option of having the lads switch it from time to time.
Basically if Caixinha goes 4-2-3-1 then we play the same team etc as we did against the sheep at pittodrie.

27 Apr 2017 22:25:40
Why do you think McKay should play from the start? In my eyes he has nothing to merit a starting position. I would love him to come good but in my opinion his play and body language suggests he is unhappy. So for that reason, if he is unhappy at life at the mighty Rangers then you know where the doors is. That also goes for any other player who is unhappy. We all pay a lot of money to watch our team, we don't want players who play with half a heart. We want commitment, hard work and loyalty.

28 Apr 2017 08:28:16
It's nonsense to blame a new manager for injuries when we have had plenty of injuries the whole season and it's pathetic to have another name just to use to agree with your post 😂😂

28 Apr 2017 15:41:42
Crippling each other on the training ground and not a tackle made against the mhanks last week. Very good.

28 Apr 2017 21:16:53
Not sure if you watched the u20s game but Atakayi and all the other boys were completely outplayed. Kid looks like he might have something, but throwing him on vs Tierney would be a bad call. Did well defensively covering though. I'd wager that he will pick waggie out on the right or hopefully dodoo. Left he will play McKay and have Miller sitting behind that waste of space garner.

28 Apr 2017 22:13:52
McKay should start because he has more ability than the rest if the squad combined. We need pace to beat them. Go all out get McKay n dodoo on from the start give them a go

29 Apr 2017 12:12:06
hill is nearly over the hill kiernan is a blessing in disguise waldo been paying with small hernia for a while now so where is the increase in injuries?
considering windass rossiter crooks wilson waggy holt where ll injured under warburton so does that mean that they where training too hard .

the training pedro is making them do may be tough but will help fitness at least

27 Apr 2017 13:25:14
Right Bears reality check. What are our goals for next season, imo its to give celtic a real game nail 2nd (15 points above 3rd) and a Cup. Now to do this I think investment of anything over £3m will do, but if we want to get into Group Stage of the Europa League then along with a bit of luck and Caixinha having a good eye for players (some bargains) then we would need an investment no lower than £5 million.

Whatever happens next season is about building a team for a REAL push for the title in the 2018-19 Season.
Thing is imo the Europa League has so much attached to it in terms of our merchandise deal I hope King informs us just how much Caixinha will have to spend. plus that any money raised from the selling of players will go directly back into the squad.

27 Apr 2017 13:30:14
I think a better target is to finish 2nd within 15 points of Celtic?

27 Apr 2017 14:33:05
There's a budget of 10m incl wages.

Anything else is speculation but Dorrans has offered himself to us and it's upto Pedro if he wants him. I'd take Walker, McLean, and if he weighs up that rossiter isn't going to get through or begin pre season then take Ryan Jack.

10m including wages isn't buying 3 players at 3m each it's intact more than last seasons budget which was 6-7 million including wages. So I'd hide my time, give Pedro time and a full summer and first 10 games before making any judgements.

This season has been difficult but for a lot of us it just shows the uphill task facing us and I for one relish it because when we do get to where we belong it will be worth it and appreciated amongst all our fans.

27 Apr 2017 16:28:32
If we're aiming for 2nd, to me it doesn't matter how many points we finish ahead of 3rd, but it definitely matters how close we are to 1st.

27 Apr 2017 16:59:22
A very comfortable second and challenging in old firm games would be another very progressive step.
Looking to challenge for league the following year. Unless we have transfer kitty of 50 mill!

27 Apr 2017 16:59:56
Where you hearing this super ally?

27 apr 2017 18:45:15
i think to actually win the title befor everyone on here thinks second is somehow a victory! we are rangers to some folk. second? we need to win it.

27 Apr 2017 18:53:51
Onlyshow 15 points above 3rd mate :)

29 Apr 2017 12:12:08
honest to god i want to win the league next year i think with 4-5 really good signings we could be in with a shout.

27 Apr 2017 11:52:28
Lets put this in perspective. I get paid about £5,000-£10,000 a week. Am told I will work till Iam between 34-38. I get a set dated 4 weeks holiday a year while other weekly days off to enjoy family life or golf. I then have a very poor performance of a year and iam told that my 4 week holiday will be cut to 9 days to make sure I improve for the next year coming.
Do I
a) agree as its obvious I am underperforming.
b) take a strop like a 10 year old child
or c) go out into the big bad world and get paid minimum wage?
Yes that's right choose b and then i should be forced to accept c.
i understand certain players have weddings but i am sure agreements could be met on those fronts.
You may disagree but I think its shocking

27 Apr 2017 12:39:31
I dunno buddy but if u can get me a job. lol

27 Apr 2017 18:38:53
You can't cut anyone's holidays, just not possible as it's in a contract so you should just take your 4 weeks entitled holidays and they can't do a thing to you or the footballers I guess your talking about

27 Apr 2017 18:42:56
Or move on to another club on slightly less money, a whole lot less pressure and 4 weeks holiday , option D.

27 Apr 2017 21:19:57
These guys essentially work as contractors though the difference is that they get paid for the days they don't work. There is nothing in there contract that states how many holidays they receive per year so it is therefore down to there manager. I don't think they can complain either when there average working week is prob 25 hrs per week

27 Apr 2017 23:33:04
Benny I'm certainly no professional player or agent, but if my holidays weren't written into my contract with my hours I wouldn't be signing it, I think this is one of they things that has more hope than reality

27 Apr 2017 10:41:50
Am hearing we are going to give Celtic a guard of honour.

right, ill no be happy but if it reduces the bigoted crap i need to hear then i'm willing to listen.

kenny signing is a godsend, best player of the year maybe even the decade.

defence is a shambles.

but pedro seems to be a likeable guy and i beleive he will get the most out any squad.

saturday will be closer i assue you that!

27 Apr 2017 11:25:54
As much as I despise the thought of giving them a guard of honour it would be the professional thing to do. I doubt it will happen though.

27 Apr 2017 11:29:15
How would a guard of honor make any difference to the sectarian crap that goes on?

27 Apr 2017 11:37:22
There is no need and no requirement to give Celtic a guard of honour and I don't see the point of it anyway. Mistake if we do albeit no big deal.

27 Apr 2017 13:16:05
Ain't going to happen Bears. Plus want to know your opinion regarding Funds!
Caixinha must know how much he will have available yeah SO do we think that we will be informed of this?

Its driving me nuts as apparently Brenda has been told he has £15m which will increase if certain players go but if that info has been given out to them then King must do the same and if the amount is no where what we want then all King has to do is explain WHY.
So Beats how much!

27 Apr 2017 14:43:46
No chance will we get that amount I think 5 million tops which will never get us closer to Celtic but will help us get closer to the sheep which I think is the best we can hope for in the near future because I think we need at least 30 million to get close to sellik

27 Apr 2017 16:19:31
Stop the sectarian crap? are u kidding! . Both clubs have lost iconic figures down the years and it doesn't stop the morons singing songs and the keyboard warriors typing vile s£&te so a guard of honour won't mean a jot

27 Apr 2017 18:46:15
we will not be informed of this but i can see celtic spending more on 1 layer than what we do on our team that's for sure.

27 Apr 2017 18:49:43
Guard of honour? Are we going nuts on here! i've heard it all now i really have. If we concede to that we have lost the place. They no longer observe a minutes silence for the fallen 66 and dismiss the observance of a minutes silence for the fallen at the remembrance days. No chance. A guarf of honour? get a grip. Have you lot lost all sense of who we are? Or do some on here really think we ARE SEVCO.

28 Apr 2017 08:40:48
Blue, you've been on the sauce the past few days matey!

29 Apr 2017 06:54:11
a wee bit.

anyway next year is ours.

Miller will score today, a fancy the draw

27 Apr 2017 00:20:34
Kenny mclean and ryan jack would too very good cheap scottish signings and would add a bit of pace and energy to the midfield.

27 Apr 2017 09:36:54
If that's the type of players we are after then it's clear that the manager is targeting second place for next season. These player aren't good enough to take us further and they are aimed at weaken our rivals for 2nd Place. If that's the case then the old firm fixture is truly dead and it will just be a case of anything we can get off them is a bonus.

27 Apr 2017 10:51:12
do you think we should be targeting first place?

we have limited funds and a mediocre squad.

i would be happy with second, first is a bonus.

they are ahead of us, so let's not get too ambitous just yet.

we will be champions again this decade i promise you all that.

my signing would be

Veloso
Morales

and no ideas on defence, someone with experience, pace, good in the air and decent at passing the ball out.

27 Apr 2017 11:16:11
BluebloodGerz,

I think if you are going to give up on reaching 1st Place then it's a dangerous road to go down. The day any Rangers fan proclaims they are happy with 2nd Place is the day we should lock the doors forever. Not saying that getting 2nd Place should mean the manager is sacked however you can't be happy with 2nd Place.

27 Apr 2017 12:38:30
agree with you Brian.

trying to be realisitc before the show begins.

27 Apr 2017 12:57:24
McLean wouldn't be cheap.

27 Apr 2017 13:05:36
The penny drops, frankly I doubt we'll have the resources to get either. Whilst hardly marquee signings I think they'll improve the squad. My only concern with them is they lack a real goal threat, would rather stick Tav higher up the park and get a better defender in, assuming he stays.

27 Apr 2017 16:22:58
Of course youve got to aim for 1st place. yes the fans know its unlikley but as a club and professionals they have to go into every game with the aim to win it. i just don't understand when people say "aim for 2nd". that's basically saying"lets set out to not win some of our games"

29 Apr 2017 12:12:26
i honestly don't think pedro would have come here without insurances that he will be given cash to spend.
