Any1 think bolassie at Everton on a loan deal be a poss. He's fast and strong dplays on right.

27 Sep 2020 07:29:06
Bolassie of a few years back yes but not now. Had bad injury don’t think he’s found form since.

26 Sep 2020 22:39:28
Vital we get 3 points tomorrow put some pressure on manks before they play. Would like to see Jones start for hagi who looks tired and itten with Alfie. c'mon gets get it right up them. Wtp.

27 Sep 2020 07:29:47
Good call walter.

26 Sep 2020 20:51:29
Team for tomorrow

McLaughlin

Tav
Goldson
Balogun
Barasic

Kamara
Davis
Arfield
Hagi
Kent

Morelos.

26 Sep 2020 21:26:21
Why would big helander be dropped or is he injured?

26 Sep 2020 21:26:30
Is helander injured? Think the big man has been great and think he's our best CH.

26 Sep 2020 21:27:39
No bad bankie I’d have jones for Hagi and it keep shagger in.

26 Sep 2020 21:28:36
I agree Bankie however just wait for the masses saying Jones before Hagi.

26 Sep 2020 21:35:14
They've released that early 🤪.

26 Sep 2020 22:37:15
Blue, are people not supposed to prefer Jones over hagi then? Because I would certainly prefer to see if jones can produce when given the chance, unless of course you believe hagi has been anything other than average, at best.

27 Sep 2020 00:17:09
Not at all Tom. Just tonnes of folk said this after Thursday. Each to their own and all that.
Personally I think Hagi is a no. 10 and Jones is a winger so not a straight swap. Also feel we have no other fit no.10 as not arfields best position so Hagi should start. Granted he’s not setting the heather alight.
Jones however looks better with space to run in behind. Unfortunately all Scottish defences play too deep for this to be a real benefit.

27 Sep 2020 00:37:35
Jones is a one trick pony who looked good when the game was already won on Thursday.
Plus he can't be trusted to produce the goods from the beginning. 👍.

27 Sep 2020 06:35:52
There will be a couple of changes I expect, maybe balogun or Edmundson in for helander, maybe hagi rested etc. Thursday. Iggy is a huge tie financially for us so I think he will take a risk and rest a couple, can’t do many changes as we don’t really have the manpower due to the injuries.

27 Sep 2020 07:56:21
Again, certainly produced when he set up the goal which put us in the group stages last year.

27 Sep 2020 08:01:03
You need to give players a chance, doesn't look like we're going to sign anyone anytime soon. He has contributed more coming of the bench, however changes have to be made with the current squad.

27 Sep 2020 08:30:59
Bluegenius is spot on. It’s not a like for like swap. Hagi is asked to drift in and out of the interchanging front 3. Jones is an out and out winger. Jones is in the window for the off I think. He hasn’t really had much of a chance to be fair but I don’t think he ever was good enough in the first place!

26 Sep 2020 20:43:08
Have a sneaky feeling Alfie will be moved on after next Thursdays game --win or lose --probably one of the terms of his transfer agreement -go out wi a bang son --.

26 Sep 2020 21:26:20
What transfer agreement is that decee.

26 Sep 2020 22:03:11
its the one he dreamt about.

26 Sep 2020 22:35:51
yeah the above joker got it right it was a dream -movin on.

26 Sep 2020 22:44:03
I think Alfie has to stay with roofe injured unless we can use some of the fee and have a striker lined up. We do need a mid with presence and some who can play on the right so hagi can play more central.

26 Sep 2020 23:22:15
That transfer agreement only drawn up this week?

26 Sep 2020 23:36:31
his mum has to sign it off .

26 Sep 2020 17:27:41
Does the away goal rule count in next weeks game against galatsary? Or is it et and penalties?

26 Sep 2020 17:55:12
It’s a one off game so should just be ET and penalties surely?

It’s not a 2 legged affair is it?

26 Sep 2020 18:12:14
There are no replays as far as I’m aware
Was that not agreed long ago?

26 Sep 2020 18:26:01
No away goals rule. One off cup tie.

26 Sep 2020 18:50:46
One off game no away goals winner takes all. The Turks are just ahead of Scotland with regards to the coefficient and the winner of this game will decide who gets an automatic place in the champions league draw and 1 place in 2nd round qualifier so there's quite a bit at stake above qualifying for the europa league.

26 Sep 2020 19:20:35
Ther a rite good team at the moment.

26 Sep 2020 20:36:41
More interested in the Motherwell and Ross County games.

26 Sep 2020 20:48:25
Exactly sweep.

26 Sep 2020 22:33:54
Agreed sweep.

26 Sep 2020 23:23:56
Agreed but the clubs financial health is ultra important also.

27 Sep 2020 08:54:08
My own view guys, is that when you wear a Rangers Jersey, every game is important, Europa is very important from a financial point of view, and the league for our pride and Champions League entry, where again, the money is greater, especially at this time.

Cheer up Alfie-your international career is just starting --score a hat trick on Thursday and become a legend (kind Of) --a hat trick against celtic would etch that in stone or#55 would be a shoe in -balls in your court son.

26 Sep 2020 15:27:34
Unfortunately not much chance of that, could be off to consenza fc.

26 Sep 2020 16:17:42
Source please.

26 Sep 2020 16:58:41
We need another 20 goals a season striker Alfies not on form far from it and itten and roofe wat can i say well b lucky to get 10 goals between then this season and hagi is at most a 10 games a season wonder so he needs replacing or we have to listen to the manks fur the forseable future about ther tainted 10 OMG a couldney live way that.

26 Sep 2020 18:26:16
Dsgers where the money coming from to by a fifth striker that will score 20 a season.

26 Sep 2020 19:25:03
john25 SG should never have wasted money on not only the 3 mentioned ut all the others he's b in brought come to mention it about 25mill he's spent i'm told.

26 Sep 2020 19:44:02
Roofe will get 20 a season as long as he stays fit as for itten the jury out but if alfies goes we will need another striker and don't sell Alfie on last day of window we need time to replace him for me vydra would be a shout or boy from young boys.

26 Sep 2020 20:49:12
Roofe won’t stay fit to get 20
A season.

27 Sep 2020 11:05:33
Dsgers who have we wasted money on apart from Grezda.
All other players have went up in value.

26 Sep 2020 12:41:12
Alright fellow bears can any explain why we can't have at least some fans in our stadium. psg had. Fans and there wasn't any social distance I think last week. also there was plenty fans in the super cup final between Bayern and Seville am sure.

26 Sep 2020 12:48:27
Because the rate of challenge is back on the increase. A lot of people think it's ok as you can space out in the stadium and its open air, what about the numbers all traveling and entering the stadium at the same point and time or the impact on public transport to and from the ground?

26 Sep 2020 13:14:18
Toilet facilities are awful in football stadiums, packed into a small area.

26 Sep 2020 13:17:15
Davie there’s a C.V. going on! How would yo decide who gets in anyway as there’s about 46000 season tickets sold.

26 Sep 2020 14:32:13
Don’t understand why it can be made to work in some countries but not here.

Survival rate is 99.8% so I’m guessing that those of us who know that we are at risk will take appropriate precautions whilst the kids get on with their lives.

Statistics say there is more chance of getting hit by a bus on the way to the match than dying of C.V..

26 Sep 2020 14:52:37
DK19, 32.6 million cases and 989k deaths worldwide. That would put the fatality rate at around 3% not 0.2% like you are claiming.

26 Sep 2020 14:57:10
Aye and it's statistically higher because of all the precautions taken to limit its spread.

Not sure where you pulled that survival rate from, when hundreds were dying a day a few months back that means 100 thousand folk a day would have had to be catching it?

26 Sep 2020 15:13:38
Pretty easy because wee Nicky and BJ says we can’t.

26 Sep 2020 15:16:14
Human lives are more important than football, end of.

26 Sep 2020 15:32:16
I pulled the figure from the ONS excluding care home deaths - not many care home residents are likely to attend a football match.

Appreciate that the daily record might be more accurate than official government statistics but given the rumours they spread about us I think I’ll stick with the ONS numbers.

26 Sep 2020 15:37:04
DK19, ok mate I pass that on to my aunt who lost her husband from CV. some folk drive me mad.

26 Sep 2020 15:59:34
Oryg
I’m not down playing the tragedy but how long can we live like this!

No vaccine by 2022 and we have no life worth living.

A number of other countries have far fewer restrictions including limited crowds at sporting events but we can’t be treated the same?

Depression, and mental health issues booming, cancer undiagnosed, routine life enhancing treatments cancelled or postponed indefinitely etc etc.

Kids education is being decimated, students with virtually no risk being imprisoned in small flats.

None of it makes sense to me.

26 Sep 2020 16:24:48
DK a lot of other countries aren’t having a rise either

26 Sep 2020 18:22:22
Because the government says so, racing fans can’t get in either, and most racecourses are out of the way in the countryside,

No life worth living? Get a grip mate, there are a few groups of poor people in “ a life not worth living “

We ain’t one of them.

26 Sep 2020 18:27:44
Correct tam.

26 Sep 2020 18:30:07
Don't worry Tom, DK knows best mate. Just like when he is acting the authority on who is a real fan and who isn't, dictating what comments people can make etc. He also now knows who is and isn't at risk better than actual health officials and the government! We are lucky to have someone as bright on our forum.

26 Sep 2020 20:04:05
Correct smell, listen and learn!

26 Sep 2020 20:29:05
No thanks mate. I will choose to listen to those who actually know what they are talking about (and don't have to resort to an immature misspell in their posts because their arguments get pulled apart)

26 Sep 2020 21:01:15
Snell is smell on autocorrect- nothing more to it.

neighbour and two good friends are GP’s. They all say the same thing - we are allowed to die of anything except C.V. because government get blamed for every C.V. death but Mother Nature is responsible for all other challengees.

Anyway, thread started with spectators at sport events - lots of countries allow it but we aren’t told why it’s possible to manage social distancing in a pub or bus or plane but we can’t randomly have even 1000 fans in Ibrox.

26 Sep 2020 21:27:18
As per my above point buses and public transport are stretched enough accomodating social distancing as it is, without them being used for 1000 congregating at the same place at the same time.

Do your and your GP pals have (socially distanced) parties comparing tin foil hats by any chance?

26 Sep 2020 21:33:25
Just get on with it. All this restrictions nonsense. Some of my mates are away to germany for october fest. looks very busy. Also a lot of false positive tests racking up the numbers. Aswel as death toll that they have already admitted is a lie.

26 Sep 2020 21:48:57
Who said the death toll was a lie Paul mate? I'd be interested to read that. It's the people choosing to just "get on with it" that mean other spikes are now happening and the reason its longer and more painful to resolve.

26 Sep 2020 21:52:40
Careful Paul, alternative opinions only allowed if they agree with the usual experts.

26 Sep 2020 23:29:04
Bit rich coming from the forum self appointed Ed. Paul is entitled to his opinion, at no point did I say he wasn't and it was a genuine question that I would like to know the source so I can read it myself. It's good to read both sides of an argument as it helps keep you learn so Paul mate if you can remember where you saw that, genuinely interested 👍.

26 Sep 2020 10:10:14
After watching back the highlights of that Willem ll game it got me thinking about McGregor. He was absolutely outstanding at points of that match and you could argue he won us that game. If we go a goal down it becomes a totally different game. He has been doing this his whole career. How he never played for bigger clubs is beyond me. He could easily have played for any premier league club in his peak years. There's talk of a new contract for him and I welcome that. Diving to the left and to the right, the man is a solid gold legend!

26 Sep 2020 10:46:05
When fit and available for selection I would agree.

26 Sep 2020 11:33:21
always loved McGreggor and so glad he opted to come to Rangers all those years ago

He’s been a class keeper and he’s up there with the best keepers to have served the club

My own opinion before I get bashed for it 🤨😂.

26 Sep 2020 13:36:25
Who’s to say McLauchlan wouldn’t have made those saves. Both goalkeepers have been excellent for us.

McLauchlan just shades it for me just now as he’s been part of a pretty solid defence but McGregor is also an outstanding keeper.

My top 3 keepers ever
1 Goram
2. McGregor
3. Klos.

26 Sep 2020 13:48:31
Who’s to say Andy Firth wouldn’t have saved them? Your comment makes it look like I was have a pop a McLauchlan.

26 Sep 2020 14:37:35
I personally feel that McLauchlin just shades it over Alan, as his distribution of the ball is better, he also comes out more for cross balls, I've always felt that this was an area where Alan was vulnerable, both great goal keepers though.

26 Sep 2020 15:03:44
C youse singling out McGregor for praise when his mistake very nearly put us 1 down. Hard to disagree that he has been outstanding since coming back. Arguably yet than his first stint, I do think he sometimes see red and gets involved needlessly sometimes.

Absolutely agree with Irv about how McLaichlin is better with his feet and commands his box better.

26 Sep 2020 16:03:19
Andy Firth is simply a water bottle carrier and a waste of a wage.

26 Sep 2020 16:34:16
Firth is on a low wage and is allowing McCrorie to go out and get games. Also here firth is learning to coach. Bit harsh Yates.

26 Sep 2020 18:30:48
Bathgate I’m struggling to get my head around your post, you say McLaughlin shades it for me, then have greegs in top 3 but not McLaughlin?

Greegs is a true Rangers legend and one of the finest keepers ever to play in Scotland,

Stig I’m pretty sure greegs began his career with Rangers.

26 Sep 2020 18:54:17
Tam I never said that at all, I rate McGregor as highly as you. Think you got me mixed up with someone else.

26 Sep 2020 19:15:18
I would have McLaughlin in before greegs and greegs has been good since he has been back but outstanding no and nowhere near as good as his 1st stint.

26 Sep 2020 20:02:43
How much bigger does it get than The Famous, cofi? 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

26 Sep 2020 20:10:39
I meant in between us mate. Hull and Cardiff? Surely he could’ve played in much better sides than those?

26 Sep 2020 23:57:00
Sorry bgate, of course I meant for blackthorn guy.

26 Sep 2020 09:51:37
Seen Daniel sturridge is a free agent if his wages where decent n not high do you think he would be a decent signing or do us think he's past it.

26 Sep 2020 10:32:00
No thank you.

26 Sep 2020 10:39:35
No thanks.

26 Sep 2020 10:48:02
Wouldn't touch sturridge with a barge pole. He is far to injury prone for my liking.

26 Sep 2020 13:19:03
Don’t you think we sign enough players with injury problems?

26 Sep 2020 13:55:25
If we could get him in till Jan pay-as-play I'd take him. Had a decent goal return last season even with injury issues and his ban.

26 Sep 2020 14:51:05
Would take us to January to get sturridge match fit.

26 Sep 2020 15:16:42
Yeah we have roofe that’s injury prone so why not sign another striker that can keep him company on the injured table.

26 Sep 2020 20:03:22
Think there is history between the boss and Sturridge?

26 Sep 2020 20:06:05
Perhaps Sturridge will pay us for a 6 month contract.

Review Of The Day 26th September 2020

26 Sep 2020 07:39:17
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 26th September 2020

26 Sep 2020 02:16:25
When was the last time any of our players got picked for England?
The last one that I can think of would be Gazza maybe.

26 Sep 2020 07:06:11
Don't know but it will be a long time before one is picked, Ryan kent is nowhere the standard of Rushford, Stirling or Greenwood.

26 Sep 2020 08:49:46
thats what i like about this site as soon as anyone posts a slightly positive comment about ryan kent the backstabbers move in with snide comments, sweep1 take notice.

26 Sep 2020 08:55:58
Put Kent in any of the top EPL sides on his current form and he would be getting massive plaudits and talked about for England and over hyped like they tend to do down south. He’s our most valuable asset at present and I really hope we manage to keep a hold of him past the window.
Can we afford to KO a bid in the 15-20M region? The prices being spoken of for his ex Liverpool youth teammates are bonkers .

26 Sep 2020 09:04:25
Have to agree with sweep though Kent is nowhere near those players he mentioned and I would be astonished if he got anywhere near the squad. It’s not a snide or backstabbing comment just an opinion.

26 Sep 2020 09:24:50
The problem with scotty123 is imo kent wouldn't have that form in a top side in epl the standard there is so much higher than the spfl. Think he's a great player for us tho.

26 Sep 2020 09:37:35
Up here he is a big fish in a very small pond, down south he would disappear I'm afraid.

26 Sep 2020 09:44:47
There has never been anyone good enough since Gazza. As much as I think Kent is a fantastic player for us, he is not getting in that England team just now. Also, as long as he's playing in our league he's never getting in - those days are long past.

26 Sep 2020 10:10:00
Kent is certainly good enough to be considered for inclusion in England squad.

26 Sep 2020 10:15:24
Did Michael Ball get a call up when with us? 🤔.

26 Sep 2020 10:34:35
I'm realistic he's not good enough to play for England, hope these comments by GM doesn't have an negative effect and make him feel he's untouchable.

26 Sep 2020 10:42:15
I know it's a typo sweep but rushford and Stirling sound like a high end lawyer practice 🤣🤣.

26 Sep 2020 10:44:45
Michael Ball's only cap was when he was with Everton.

26 Sep 2020 11:18:00
Think you would have to send the English media and FA back to school for o grade geography.

27 Sep 2020 09:27:47
Just read up on Ball and he was called up for England when at Rangers but had to withdraw because of injury. Surprise, surprise.

25 Sep 2020 22:39:14
How on earth is are play off game not been picked for tv?
a game that wouldn't Look out of place in later rounds of this competition so for a playoff it's huge!
and there only showing the spurs game what a joke that is.
Another night of sitting through a load of constant buffering on Rangers tv it must be then!

26 Sep 2020 03:39:36
Totally, sitting in front of an iPad is not good🤕🇬🇧.

26 Sep 2020 09:28:40
Why can't BBC or STV show it, I personally thought that it would be on BT Sport, but that must not start until the Group Stage, my Rangers TV has been spot on so far, no buffering.

26 Sep 2020 09:36:41
If it’s premier your talking about it’s a joke, don’t give them your money, pay rangers direct for the game. Stream will be a lot better and club gets the money, no brainer.

26 Sep 2020 09:41:58
IMO put Kent in premier league and he would flourish, players have far more time on the ball and he wouldn’t be kicked about for 90 mins. EPL is over rated with exception of a few teams. Kent would do well down south something I think we will find out next season.
