Hearts scraped a late point today against Hibs, so 2 points dropped. If we win our game in hand that narrows the gap to 4 points with the Tynecastle showdown next month. I really don't think Hearts' younger squad will last the course during the winter months.

Yeah I agree mate!! Hearts looked terrible to be honest, we'll win that league no bother.great result around today!

Just as well we didn't go with a younger squad then as they might not have lasted the winter either ;).

The 2 teams to beat us, one of them very comfortably, play out a draw. Don't get so optimistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Noticed hearts went to the end and showed the desire and deserved a point. On the other hand hibs are a very poor side and I doubt they will be in a threat and the league is a straight fight between us and hearts.

Big game at tynecastle coming up which could define the season and I have no doubt we will beat st johnstone on tuesday

Agree0 Disagree0

72. A very poor side that spanked us 3-1 at Ibrox let's not forget.

Agree0 Disagree0

As I've said before all it would take is a couple of good signings and a good manager to walk that league. Sadly we have a poor manager who seems to think players like Peralta & Moshni are the answer

I think as fans we all need to take a step back & take a realistic look at the situation here, yes we would've all loved a Rangers man to come in and take over just for the love of the club but apart (maybe) from king there is no one out there at any club going to do it for the "love" anymore. those days are gone and we have to realise that people with money are not going to invest unless there's money to be made just a sad fact I'm affraid.
r. f

Believable0 Unbelievable0

See what your sayn r. f. but its the principal of the thing. total disregard to fans, the, we will do as we please. then down the line if it happens, mk invests in team, we win league etc. all is forgiven?its the principal. everyone diffrent. but i will put mine b4 a trophy and won't forget this till every last one gone.

Totally understand laudrup22 but I would hang fire until we hear what ashley has to say, already we are hearing he wants 2 of his. own people on the board & he's looking for total control statement expected nxt week. I can't help but think back to when green said he & his cohorts shafted whyte to get control. just my thoughts.
r. f

Agree0 Disagree0

I also think sandy easdale should make a statement infront of fans, explaning why he blocked takeover and kennedy loan. we no the answer, but i want to hear him say it. there's too chances, none and f@#$all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totaly agree rf. with his men on board, nothing good getting past them. as angry with ashleys tactics as i am, the easdales swung it the other way. they could have gained a little respect back by doing the rite thing, i hold them and there backers responsible for the wrongs that have happend and future wrongs, they have the clubs blood on there hands.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a point, I don't see Newcastle in financial dire straits, so let's just see what happens if he takes over.
Am I right in saying King isn't out of the picture yet?

Agree0 Disagree0

John cs. as far as i no king still in picture. a statment will be realesed in next 48hrs from king. possibly to do with court of session.

26 Oct 2014 22:07:12
If ashley goes ahead with his proposal of a new share issue would king & others be able to buy or would it again be for existing shareholders only ?.
r. f

Agree0 Disagree0

R. f, if king had owned even a handful of shares, he could have bought more at the last issue,

in fact he could have bought the 1m shares that were not taken up

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

But he never!

That says a lot to me

27 Oct 2014 22:03:20
@ JG so I take it its just for existing shareholders if it happens. and yes maybe if king had. bought share he could've stood a better chance and went a long way to show how serious he was/is.

Im only assuming here, when Wallace is relieved of his duties at Ibrox he, as he never resigned will be entitled to some kind of financial payout with a little extra thrown in to buy his silence on the shenanigans going on behind the scenes, Nash on the other hand decided to fall on his sword before he was stabbed, so no payment package wouldn't it be great if just one of the many who have befell the same fate would come out and say exactly what goes on behind closed doors even so called Rangers men have kept quiet after walking or being pushed from their roles, come on Mr Nash you owe this board nothing be a big man and be the first to blow the lid off this whole sorry state of affairs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Soton - according to the announcement made by RIFC, he did "resign" but I would imagine there would be some financial compensation in return for his willingness to resign

So Dave Kings group offered more funds than Ashley but Ashley gets the deal. Ring any bells? When Green took over was there not a similar fiasco? Ashley, the guy who has ground naming rights and merchandise control (for £1. 00, as I recall). I'm about ready to call it a day until there is some stability at this club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Does anybody out there really believe that mike Ashley if he gains total control of the club would not make a success of it it wouldn't be in his best interest not to succeed a strong rangers team back winning trophy s =full stadium, merchandise sales, European football, look at the bigger picture, king to little always to late Kennedy ? Ashley has made his move to an inevitable outcome what is the alternative do we all just turn our backs on the club i don't think so as the song says we will follow on

Agree0 Disagree0

Job4: Agree with you, let's see what happens, this could be the chance for the club to build.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee man - Ashley giving a 2m interest free loan, maybe that was the best deal for the club right at this time,

we obviously need money now and you can't get better deal than interest free

I'll hedge my bets on Ashley taking full control, spending a bit of cash (not his own), the club experience success on the surface with the price being a full on 'selling of the soul', and most of you trotting along like good wee supporters, revelling in the glory with not a care as to the cost; as long as you can see the "Rangers back where they belong". It happened before and it will happen again as a bit of silverware will be enough for the majority to look the other way as always. The club I followed as a boy and man is no more, hasn't been for years but the majority wouldn't listen out of fear of loosing a club that was already gone. This sham has been sewen up for a long time and the few of us that refused to be treated like mugs years ago were at best ignored and at worst accused of "not being real supporters". Now all I hear is faux outrage and cries of "take control", "boycott", "we need to unite" etc etc. Too late people, you made your bed and at this stage supporters have to take their share of the blame for this debacle. I no longer have the club I grew up with thanks to greedy corporate businessmen, shady asset strippers, lap dog administrators and brain dead defiance. Supporters were initially duped and cannot be blamed for that but subsequently, when the evidence was all around time and again it was ignored. Instead, decent lifelong supporters have been marginalized with cries of "oh here we go again with the doom and gloom" or "you must be Timmy in disguise". Still, none of this will matter to any of you once Ashley spends your money , brings success then calls in his loans that you generated the capital for with your no questions asked, turn a blind eye attitude. I hate to say I told you so but. well for at least the last two years I did! And "Timmy" did for a long time before that! So cheers to the intelligent amongst you (Rangers, Celtic, Sheffield United and Newcastle supporters). It's just a shame that the majority of Rangers supporters are of the 'three wise monkey' variety.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So true pal used av my say like that back in the day, aye nearly gain gubbed fae it, aw l would like ta c is our fans standing as wan its so sad seeing us falling out aw the time, this once proud club is fuc*ed fae top ta bottom, will we ever be the same agin?

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post mate. As always.

Agree0 Disagree0

So a billionaire starts to take control and we're all stupid because we'd enjoy some success if it was to come our way. What is it you want?? Dave King has had years to come in and take over but he's provided £0. 00. Paul Murray has tried to get in the door more times than I can count, what's he provided? Erm. £0. 00. McColl, Letham, Kennedy etc. etc. £0. 00. Since your club no longer exists why don't you just butt out and let everyone else who is still willing to pay the money to see them play accept the one guy who's A) a good business man B) actually got money C) built his fortune on acquiring struggling brands D) experienced in football. Remember a defunct brand is worth £0. 00

@3- who mentioned King or any of the other potential 'investors'? As expected you've missed the point completely. I don't have a club because there is only a shell left behind being used to make money for others funded by you. I'm butting in out of frustration that part of the reason for the death of my club is down to the ignorance of the majority. I'm entitled to be a bit miffed after 35 years of loyalty to find that at least 10 of those I've been mugged off. So if I feel the need to comment I will. It's an open forum, if you don't like what I'm saying (or don't understand) just ignore it, you're clearly good at that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Baybear, while I agree that your assessment is almost certainly correct. It appears that you seem to take more delight in being correct than the bigger issue - Glasgow Rangers survival. Despite your suggestion otherwise, you clearly care about the club or you would not be posting.

This constant self indulgence by all (including myself for posting) instead of direct collective action is the real failure - the fans collectively are now to blame for our downfall - no one else as we have allowed this to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2014 10:05:43
Jakey & Gkk- It's just a matter of perception I suppose. You want a Rangers regardless of it's form. I wanted the real one that I had from day 1. Imagine the scenario, you're 10 and your maw n da split up, they are no more and never will be. It's because your maw has shackled up with some dodgy gezzer that everyone tells her is dodgy, let's call him Craig or Charles or Dave or Sandy or, it doesn't matter, he's a renowned dodgy character. Now you're 10 and your not daft. You know it's not your da regardless if he has the backing of your maw and your uncle Ally. It doesn't matter how many times he buys you stuff when things are going a bit pear shaped, you know he's buying your silence and he's not your da. It doesn't matter how many times uncle Ally says he's a good guy or pretends to know nothing because. well, it's not your da. That's the difference, I'll be the annoying 10 year old who is loyal to his da and doesn't accept lies. You can be the wee brother who isnae really bothered cause there's some guy in the house that buys him stuff to stop him being a nuisance.
You get where I'm coming from now?
I'd have more respect if you were honest enough to admit that you love Rangers so much that even an imposter will do rather than trying to polish a turd.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley. Businessman. Doesn't care for Rangers. Wants Sports Direct to expand in Europe. Rangers is that vehicle.

Easdale. 26. 2% voting rights. Questionable character and past misdemeanours.

Rangers Fans, read John Brown in Mail on Sunday today. and ask yourself why 2m was accepted, and 16m rejected. oh, and also check where Newcastle are in the Premiership.

@7 now that is a respectable reply Mols. I totally understand why my posts maybe come across as taking delight in being correct but I can assure you, delight is not a feeling I have right now. Apart from that your post is pretty much spot on. I do care about people being fleeced, being lied to, being taken for mugs. Especially when they had the foresight to take a stand only to be abandoned by those who are supposed to be on the same side. Just winds me right up that the evidence was there for all to see and despite shouting it from the rooftops for years it's only now that folk are talking about starving them out. The horse has already bolted. I take no pleasure in any of that but I appreciate your courteous reply none the less.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have I missed something, don't recall reading anything about the club dying in the past 12 hrs unless I forgot to put my clock back that is. Baybear, me thinks many timmys may have wanted what you said rather than believed it would happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Baybear: Your comparison of Rangers and the family? No it's not a similar scenario for me, football club is a totally different concept, you would take your club as it is always your club, and MOLS, it's maybe the fact the fans didn't try to their maximum to avoid this, but do you actually think fans could have made the crucial difference?
I don't.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2014 14:37:22
Ayrbear: Where Newcastle are in the premiership has nothing to do with Ashley, different story in that league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncs

You may well be correct and it would have made no difference if the fans had been able to mobilize as one voice with action. We didn't and we will never know for sure.

I feel that an empty Ibrox on 4 consecutive home matches 2 years ago could have made the difference. Even better if we had turned up for the matches and not went in to the stadium.

In the end all our rantings on this and other forums are meaningless as we chose and continue to choose to do nothing as a "Rangers Support"

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2014 15:38:07
Johncs- I never mentioned the last 12 hours. I was referring to the fact that my Rangers were liquidated hence my belief that this is Rangers in another form, a form that I cannot connect with as I don't agree with any of it. That's fine if you're comfortable with following this incarnation of Rangers but I'm not as I no longer recognise it as the club I've always followed. What frustrates me is due to the apathy of others I have not had the opportunity to save my Rangers as it required more than just a few thousand like myself not renewing. Yet now we have many more calling for boycott when the chance to save Rangers in their original form is gone. This is clearly not something that affects you because as long as there are 11 men in Rangers jerseys you are comfortable in the belief that the Rangers you've always followed are still the same. I have never known any other club or company to be liquidated, start up again as a new company and maintain that they are the very same with an unbroken history in the legal sense. Fine that you remember the history of Rangers, so do I, I was there too. But I was also there when they ceased to exist as that original formation and as such had to reapply to join Scottish football. I couldn't care less if Timmy is happy with my statement. I'm more interested in debating honest points with honest, rational people regardless of the club they follow. I've had more empathy from Celtic supporters in the last 3 years than I have from Rangers supporters or the club itself.
As I've said on many occasions I would have gladly followed a new Rangers with integrity, building from the bottom with youth regardless if they ever reached 'the top' but I am a minority and was never given the option. Those guys your maw has shackled up to are taking her and you for a ride and your happy to go along with it. But hey, it's just my opinion and that's what a forum is for is it not?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2014 15:53:57
Also Johncs, I changed my log in for a reason. I am no longer Baybear as this reflects my beliefs. It would be hypocritical of me to continue using that name hence the change and given I don't have my Bears to support. Just refer to me as TAFKABB in future if you feel the need to respond at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't surprise me that you have had more empathy from Celtic fans as many fans on here like yourself judging by your earlier statement are far too interested in calling down other people's opinions.

Baybear: I agree with you and there are many like us, we are just too scunnered to post to the forums any more.

Rangers used to be far more than just a football team, far more than just a money-making business, far more than a stadium, a jersey and few songs. Rangers used to be a way of holding yourself, a way of fair-thinking and fair-play. It was about respect and doing things properly and a continuum of history and tradition. It was about keeping scum and spivs and con-men as far away from the big hoose as we could, and treating the entire Rangers community and the wider world of Scottish football with respect and dignity.

For people who think 11 guys in light blue running about Govan with a ba' makes it Rangers, they have missed out and are missing out now.

@20- I know mate, for a couple of years I was posting on here all the time along with looking for answers and taking action on a personal basis. I listened to various fan groups, gave the RST a go, bought shares, renewed and cancelled season tickets, Wrote to the club, wrote to football governing bodies, all to no avail. As far as I could tell the only thing that would force a reaction and make a tangible difference was to stop feeding the beast. Unfortunately, that would only make a difference if the majority of fans United and it became increasingly clear that this was never going to happen. I don't suppose this is anyone's fault exactly, it's just that we seem to have a huge fan base that has a very clear split based on what they each believe Rangers are and what Rangers should be. I stopped posting for ages but kept reading but every now and then my frustration of what has become of my club boils over and I can't help but have a rant. At the end of the day I can't bring myself to support a team of players who I don't feel should be there, coached by a guy who I don't rate as capable when they are all on silly money that we don't have, especially when ordinary decent people have lost jobs, share money and small businesses because of the financial basket case that was/is Rangers. It's an insult to these people to watch these guys running around, pockets bulging, whilst maintaining the myth that this the same 142 year old entity in order to secure a fan base. If this was truly the case then this same entity should still be liable to pay all these ordinary folk what they're owed but they're not liable. Why? Because they are not the same and are therefore not liable. I can't pretend that I support that kind of club but I am gutted that I can't. I suppose it's similar to how AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons or Man U and FC United of Manchester fans feel. Two distinct sets of beliefs coming from what started as fans of the same club, I just don't have an alternative Rangers to follow. That's what galls me, the fact that a major part of my life, of who I am has been taken away from me by greed, lies and deceit and there's nothing I can do about it other than refuse to be part of this new entity. I still can't help venting my frustration on here now and then though as I feel we had a chance to make a difference but the fans for change where the clear minority and easily marginalized as heretics. P1$$es me right off so it does.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2014 00:26:27
@17- it's not calling down other people's opinions, it's called disagreeing as you disagree with me. Again, it's fine, it's a forum for expressing opinion is it not?

@19- Repeated posts? Have a check back and tell me when was the last time I posted about this subject. I think it's maybe 5 or 6 times over the last two days, if that? Prior to that I've not posted anything for a long time, I've just been reading until the amateur financial and legal posts got too much to bear. Let's face it, nobody on here knows f@ck all about the inner workings of the club. It's all just opinion and speculation. I just prefer to post about what I know which is how I feel about the club. I know nothing about the business world and the legal ins and outs. However, I do understand how people with agendas operate, and I'm a pretty good judge of bu115hit when I hear it. Cares nothing? I think you'll find that I have said I do not support this form of Rangers, that is different from not caring. You're right, if I didn't care I wouldn't post. I wouldn't support a friend who had murdered someone but I would care. It's not normal to be able to just detach from something overnight that you've cared about all your days. As for pettiness I think you'll find I'm making a point based on a request from another poster months ago. After a similar 'debate' with another poster he suggested that I should rethink calling myself Baybear due to the fact that I no longer follow the bears. I agreed with his point and changed the name as it could be considered a bit hypocritical keeping it. As I've pointed out before, I'm not a fan of people talking b0110cks so I'm not keen to take part in pretending I believe in something when I don't.

Not been following this page for a while, too depressed, life goes on and all that but here we go.

Was the long term plan not to bring us to our knees, so someone could come in at the last minute and get the stadium and training ground on the cheap, leaving us in perpetual debt to this mystery saviour? Ashley now has merchandise, stadium name, probably the badge, and with this new loan will he finally have the rest of the assets?

Glasgow sports direct rangers.
