OP. It should be even simpler than that if there is to be play-offs. 2nd bottom of the Premier against 2nd top of championship

just thinking out loud -
why in the name of goodness did we NOT opt for proper playoffs?

Motherwell v QOS H & A

Rangers v Hibs H & A

Winners play ONE match at Hampdenincluding extra time and penalties if needed
This way fair distribution of games rather than the nonsense the SFA ofr SPFA whatever they are, dreamt up?
it could only be in Scotland where we think we know everything??

its all down to milking the golden cow for cash no for clubs for spfl or whoever

26 May 2015 20:21:13
It should be one tie, 2nd bottom of premier league against 2nd top of championship if there's to be play-offs

Agree1 Disagree3

26 May 2015 20:51:12
Is that right? The same as they do in England is it?

Agree2 Disagree1

26 May 2015 21:57:04
It should be bottom 2 go down. 3rd and 4th play a semi and the winner plays 2nd in a one off final

Agree2 Disagree3

26 May 2015 22:05:33
aye but it was spl who made the rules they did not want the second bottom team to go down without a get out of jail card

Agree1 Disagree1

26 May 2015 22:17:09
Yeah I agree bigwull. The fact that the team out of the 4 that have had the worse season, gets the benefit of having the least to do. Only in Scotland eh? Nothing is ever simple

26 May 2015 22:26:48
Noddy.
There are more than twice the number of teams in the English championship than there are in the Scottish championship so does that make it correct for the league set up in Scotland? I would maybe think that the post from JamesMac with automatic 2 up 2 down is sensible with a play-off between 3rd bottom of the premiership against 3rd top of championship. Even then it's miles away from the system in England due to the number of teams in the leagues. What we need are less leagues with more teams in them if we want to have similar relegation/play-off games as they do in England.

Would take Fischer and Allan both class and both players we have been linked with aswell, and remember we have also been linked with marley watkins who is a free agent and a good player, would like to see Diagoura from Brentford aswell would give us a bit more fight and steel in midfield.

I can't wait for 1st leg at ibrox, this is our biggest test for years and I hope we can get a good result but ultimately a clean sheet. When we go up I really think king needs to send a message to the mhanky mob and get us up there challenging quick stop all these sevco chants and zombie pish, they are still clinging to these fantasies that they will win everything forever and have an easy life we will see how good they are soon enough.

Agree mate.i try not to let it get to me but my skin crawls when sporting integrity fc fans go on about financial cheating etc.personally I don't think they are as far ahead as they think they are.i reckon we need at least 8 players to have a decent squad to challenge should we beat Motherwell.this is who I would keep.bell,Wallace, mcgregor,Murdoch, law, shiels, zalukas,Miller,Clark and if foster can play like he has the last couple of games, him too.add Scott Allen and hopefully vukcik then we are half way there.anybody agree or disagree?

26 May 2015 10:27:38
I agree with everything except our biggest test bit, do you mean the game or the team we are playing? As we've played harder teams and won.

26 May 2015 11:20:29
Foster are you off your head? What will he do in the Premiership? He has been rank rotten in the championship all season. I can only assume you haven't watched the play off games too closely either? Look at the number of crosses that have come in from the left especially when Hibs played at Ibrox. Foster gave his opponent far too much space, watch the QOTS game at Ibrox and see how many times the player Foster was supposed to mark got away from him and had a header. Finally watch last Saturday's game against Hibs and count the number of times Allen walked by Foster as if he wasn't there. If we do get promoted we will face a lot tougher teams that we have this season and Foster has been poor. Awful against Hibs in the 4-0 game and woeful against Raith Rovers in the Scottish cup to name but 2 games. I shudder to think how bad he will be in the top league against better players. Honestly Foster!! Sure that mob from the East will be licking their lips at the prospect of Foster lining up against them

I meant match mate I don't think we have any worry a about Motherwell just certain pkayers not being able to handle pressure.

First of all we can't take anything for granted.im just keeping my feet on the ground.however I do think we should beat them over the two legs.on the foster situation I know he was rank rotten for most of the season but so were a hell of a lot of other players.i just thought against hibs at ibrox he firstly defended really well and always showed a willingness to go forward and never hid.and btw I think Scott Allen could ghost past most players in the premiership that's why we must sign him.also I didn't say he would be my first choice right back I said squad but I accept that a lot don't rate him.on the game on Thursday I just hope the players don't think the job has been done but I have every confidence that the manager won't let that happen.lastly it's all about opinions and that is what I think.i don't want to get into slagging matches about this player or that.there has been enough of that on here over the past year.its time to look forward with great anticipation and hopefully promotion.like I said they are not that far in front and with some shrewd signings next season could be a roller coaster!enjoy the game.

This page always gives me a rite chuckle! We're not that far ahead and we're living fantasies! Did use see the game in feb? We walked over the top of use in 1st gear! 😝😝😝😝 and as for we're not as good as we think,we don't need to be to stroll the SPL for years to come!! When will use ever learn by the way! Do u really think king is going to put serious money in to challenge the champs? We've heard it all before from murray green and craigy White! If anyone is going to get remotely close to us it will be the sheep and hearts! Who in case uve forgot strolled the league use are scraping to get oot! And who the champs dispatched easily twice this season! And by remotely close I mean 15 points if they'r lucky! And use say we live in fantasy land haha

Agree3 Disagree4

26 May 2015 14:10:36
I don't see how you can single out foster for his season when the majority of the squad have been poor. he's probably been the best player in the last few games except from murdoch, vuckic and maybe lee wallace.

Dan67
Aye but you forget that most of our players will be off to be replaced by some shrewd signings, loan players etc - much the same as you lot have done over the last few years. the proof of the pudding comes in Europe when you regularly get pumped, much to our amusement btw. If Hearts and the Sheep can make a challenge with nowhere near the cash and resources we have at our disposal, then why can't we?

Agree3 Disagree1

26 May 2015 15:29:57
Firstly Dan I said we needed at least 8 players to mount a challenge.also it took you to march to shake off Aberdeen.yes you eventually strolled a poor league.however have you forgot about legia and Maribor?the semi final was a stroll for you however we were absolute gunk at that time and although we are not a good passing side we are definitely a better team now.so enjoy your hollow 4 in a row the Bears will be back

Agree3 Disagree2

26 May 2015 16:25:30
Hahaha! There use go again! What resources and what cash at your disposal!!! This is the same club who had to get a loan again last week if I'm not mistaken! Where is this pile of cash u speak of? I really want to know! And let's not talk about Europe eh,not from a a club who's not even been allowed to play in it because of your financial mis management! The champs will be back in this year don't u worry! And even if we don't,we've still got 5 in a row to look forward to! 😜😜😜😜😜 and noddy! What happened to your challenge this year to hearts with the 2nd highest wage bill in the country. Awww aye that's rite there wasn't one 😝😝😝

Agree1 Disagree1

26 May 2015 17:49:00
funny how you dodge the issue of Europe when you have been found out big style and try and shift attention to Rangers' plight. It's good to see you're doing your utmost to keep the co-efficient up for us in our absence!
We know we have a broken club at the moment but despite all the disasters over the past three years, we are within touching distance of getting back to the top flight. As I said it will be a whole new team that lines up next year whatever division we are in. Do you think we are coming up as cannon fodder to get continual humpings from you lot? As the man once said - We welcome the challenge.

To late SCA I've already got a few bites! Lol.and how am I in fantasy or dream world? Is it not a fact the champs are going for 5 in a row or with a much bigger budget use still only managed to finish 3rd in Scotland's 2nd tier? What's fantasy there? Or the fact use are not allowed to play in Europe because your financial mis management! Is that fantasy true? And big col,no we aren't in the scottish cup final! The double will have to do for now! Bad day but when Inverness or Falkirk will have more cups in the cabinet over the last 4 years than use have! 😜😜😜😜😜 awwww naw a forgot use won the 2nd and 3rd division! Use must be soooooo proud!! 😝😝😝
