I support the team with open eyes and unfortunately the defending i have seen in the last two matches has left much to be desired.

Not jumping on the negative band wagon; I don't want Tav replaced or Wilson dropped.

But, like many other reasonable fans I would hope that these are positions the management are looking to bolster.

SenioR, I agree that people saying they want the players gone is far fetched but some people feel that way.

The most annoying fans are those who come on here and can't see anything through the blue tinted glasses, every fan supports the team and wants to see the team win but get a grip, the defence has looked vulnerable all season.

Our two full backs are two of the best attacking full backs in Scotland and will give most fences problems next season. If we had a top quality defensive midfield player then I do not believe we would have the defensive problems that we have evidenced at times this season. I am sure that Warburton has looked at all the teams we will come up against next season and with his backroom staff has determined their strengths and their weaknesses and we will strengthen accordingly.

I've always been of the opinion if Eustace had have been fit and in the team we would have been far more sturdy in defence. Fair play to Halliday he's done a job there but it's the hardest role to play correctly I think, filling in for the full backs and protecting the CB's. Won't have done him any harm playing there for a season tho. His tackling has improved a lot. Add that in with his forward play and we could have a real player next year.

Biffo316, I'm not happy with tav's defending but I don't want us to get shot of him, not defending tav here but you have a look at the modern day full backs just now and you'll see a helluva lot that are terrific going forward but not so good at the defensive side, I'll say what I said in a previous post that I would like to see tav playing one position further forward not just saying because he's shown deficiencies in his defending aspects of his game to just get rid of him like you and a few others have stated on here, tav is a good player!

Getting so fed up with negative fans on hear on radio phone in all u hear is slagging players off get off there backs we are running away with the league in the semi final of the cup and still people moan guys have a look at the last 3 years before this one and what we watched warbs has the team attacking at home and playing high up the park what do they want us to sit in and defend after we go ahead defence had a bad day that's all now people want them dropped and sold and slate them its rhe end of the season players get tired and we had no youngsters on the bench because they were away on international duty at there level or out on loan just wanted to say this rant over lol.

Going by statistics our defense is easily 1 of the best in Scottish Football, and that's before Mark Warburton is able to strengthen in the summer, to the people that slagged Rangers for lettin 6 in n 2 games. dnt worry honestly, we'll fix that problem for next season i gaurentee it, futures bright bears. can't wait til next season man.

People have come on here all season and slaughtered the Celtic defence they have had a go at Ambrose and other players and laughed at them. We have conceded more goals in the championship than they have in the premiership. Are you honestly saying your looking forward to next season with our current defence.

Caldo if u look at my message a said the defence had a bad day so my eyes are open but its our style of play the full backs play high up the park a remember seeing wallace in the 90 th odd minute at the edge of qos box attacking warbs plays a high open game he gambles and a couple of times lost yestarday look when we defend corners we have 3 players at the half way line most times we still won yestarday we r still going to win the legue and when we play a better team the manager changes his tactical plan to suit he won't be so open he's donebit all season.

To many bad days from the 2nd of january till the game before falkirk we had conceded 5 goals in 15 games an average of 1 goal every 3 games think u need to open your eyes.

I think MW needs to drop Wilson to show that if you slack your out. Stick Ball in and if we have a young full back stick them in to show Tav he ain't automatic pick. Might gee them up a bit for a big few weeks ahead.

All great sides have a good defence and the philosophy of outscoring teams seldom works. Kevin Keegan had that philosophy at Newcastle and although his team were great to watch ultimately they won nothing.

All Great sides do have a good Defence mate, Mark Warburton brought in pretty much all out 1st team in the door at start of the season, were not the finished product yet mate. believe me when i say this mate, we'll be an absolute solid team in the next 3 years, there's too many people wantin miracles right now and that's not gona happen *****.

A bit harsh biffo 316 saying we need to get rid of james tavernier, short memories, one minute he's the best right back we've had in years and now when he's out of touch we just get shot of him, no way would I get rid of tav but what I think he needs is someone to push him for the right back slot although I think tav would be terrific playing one place forward in a wide right midfield role the same way as big mcleish done with fernando ricksen, what's your thoughts on that?

Tav's been poor recently, but to say he has to go is just daft, looks tired to be honest. There's no leader in the two cb's. Found wanting again today.

You won't see a post from me saying he is the best right back we have had in years. The defending is woeful, can't tackle, gets easily beaten and can't mark. Defenders are need to defend first and foremost and he just can't. Take your point maybe he could get away playing a bit further forward but I genuinely fear for us on the cup semi and next season with him at right back. He will be targeted and is a very weak link.

I thought two of the substitutions yesterday were strange. Ball was taking the pressure off nicely and allowing Wilson to play a bit and Forrester was as good as anyone and better than most.

warbs is great can't anything bad about the man, but as like against Falkirk playing well and comfortable he changes the system by giving subs game time result as against QOS start conceding goals.
Arguably Holt, Ball&Forrester were our best players against QOS.
I would like him to complete next 2 games with starting 11 and hopefully have the title won. Then 4 dead rubbers left to see what Clark. Law&Sheils can do if they can merit a stay at Ibrox.

Not great but another 3 points in the bag. next season is way off so no point speculating what we can and can't do people. last 4 years have been a slog on and off the park. were in a good place right now 2 wins away from title so sit back an enjoy the rest season.

Have to say that despite OHallaran scoring, his first touch is crap. First touch for the goal was good but almost every other time he got the ball he lost it. A result is a result but our defence has now conceded 6 goals in two games!

Agreed mate. Six goals conceded in two games. What has gone wrong in defence? Didn't see today's game but from 4-1 up it shouldn't have ended up so close. Having said that, I won't mind if we beat Celtic 4-3 in the semi-final next month!

I think it's a bit harsh saying his touch is crap. He's not playing to the top of his ability just now I would say, but hopefully his goal today will give him confidence for the rest of the season. Would agree with both of you's the defence is looking a bit shaky again. Need to get that sorted before the semi final.
Hopefully win the league next week and that will give us a bit more freedom in our play I think.
