I would like to throw this out there to all 'gers fans & the ed, if we don't get up to the scottish premiership this season(and I hope to god we do), what's your opinions on stuart mccall keeping the rangers manager's job or not?I know king, murray & gilligan said they would look at it again at the end of the season but I reckon mccall will get it longterm and the chance to rebuild us

I think we will go up and that Stuart McCall will be given the job. If so, he deserves it.

I think that the noises coming from certain players auger well for our future. Personally, I feel that Stuart McCall will be the man to start our revival at the top, but it is critical that our whole youth policy is developed with the maximum speed. As we grow in stature, again, our status will improve and then will be more attractive to both players and potential managers.
The big thing that is being shown at the moment is that the young men to be developed are on our books, so let's work on them, supported by a few seasoned professionals. Maybe 3 years too late but better late than never. And with a real tough pre-season fitness regime for next season, who knows what we could achieve?

If the team plays better and is playing well and looks promising and we happen to lose in the play off then fair enough let him keep the job but if there isn't an improvement then bye bye

It depends how you look at things. With only a temporary appointment, you could be forgiven for thinking they have someone else in mind. Murray stated they were not necessarily after a manager, more a coach. I still think it will be MacInnes or Cathro, or at least they will be the first 2 on the list. Just my opinion of course.

nothing to do with Rangers tonight --

does anyone see the sense in the choice of strips at Hampden tonight? whatever happened to Navy blue for us and green for N.Ireland?

Utter nonsense IMHO

I thought that too. Cannae say I like that Scotland top either. Looks like a boiled sweetie. Still better than that horrible Salmon number from the early 90's though.

Wee bill don't know about Scotland but the blue kit is northern ireland away kit

26 Mar 2015 13:47:08
I understand the away kit thing, but it used to be the case when kits clashed, the away team changed. There is no clash with navy and green

It was the first match since kit was launched! I'd say it was a marketing thing,

Its got to be a marketing thing wee bill.More chance of people buying the shirts if they see the players wearing them, probably wouldn't be wearing them in a competitive fixture though.

Who cares it was a friendly showing off both teams newest kits.

Hope gordan strachan sorts the team out before the weekend.

Bannan, Greer, Hanley, Whittaker, maloney, Fletcher shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

When will Phillips, Rhodes etc. Actually get to start a match.

What's everyone's opinion on trying to sign Ikechi Anya? I've heard he's a gers fan and he's playing well for Scotland at the moment. I haven't heard to much from anyone about him am I missing something? think he would be a solid performer if we got back in the prem.

Yes boydy1, anya would be a great signing for rangers mate although we'd need to get back to the premiership to attract players of that ilk, good shout though mate!

He is great wee exciting player. Nothing wrong with dreaming but it would be a huge and very pleasant surprise if he ended up at Ibrox

Agree2 Disagree0

Modern players will work for however pays the best or will further their career, we can't pay the money, so, let's build a team, let everyone know this, attract the best young talent we can find. having a squad of True blue/ never surrender/walk away dross will hold us back. do Liverpool/Man City/Chelsea even Celtic only sign life long fans?

Any player with talent & wanting too progress in there career will be No where near ibrox
