The records he's broken in europe, in less than 2 years as our manager is quite incredible to say the least!
I have stated all along on these pages that with steven gerrard at the helm, we'll get where we all want to be, under his tenure as rangers manager, of that i've always had little doubt. I firmly believe that the majority of our supporters back gerrard and want him to remain as our manager.
For every Theswagman there's thousands who rate and back gerrard to the hilt! I stated all along gerrard deserves at least 3 years as rangers manager to eventually take our club, where we rightfully belong and i honestly do believe he'll take us there! Gerrard i've always had confidence in him delivering the league title for us, in his reign as our manager. Of course he's made mistakes, god the young alex ferguson made mistakes.
He imho, will go on to be a superb manager and we will always be able to look back in fondness, that his managerial career started with us.
Theswagman and a few others read and listen to far too many celtic supporters, regarding gerrard's win ratio record compared to watburton, murty and caixinha.
Theswagman believes that gerrard has a much worse win record, than the 3 i've mentioned above. Well for his information gerrard has the higher percentage of win record than any of those 3!So stop believing to everything that other mob fabricate up. They would want you to believe that and some on here are daft enough to hang on everything the enemy say! Get behind gerrard and the team, that's what rangers supporters do. Ive got pals that don't wabt Gerrard as our manager but they are respectful with their opinions. Swagman says he doesn't "dislike" Gerrard but calls him a "celebrity" manager and "instagram" manager and also a "charlatan". Do you even know what a charlatan is? When has SG ever claimed to be an expert manager? He has said time and again he is learning and he appreciates how big a club he's at and how big a job he has.

What I heard about Dubia:
A Drunk Wes Fod knocked Ojo out with a 5kg co2 fire extinguisher, SG heard the commotion from his room and jumped from his balcony 2 floors up and landed on the escaping drunk Wes. Because SG was in his boxers he was arrested by the Dubia police for incorrect dress in a public place and locked up.

I have been the same, unsure of what is best going forward. But performance like that tonight, in a Europe in general and twice vs. Celtic stock in the mind although it does make post Xmas all the more frustrating. What needs to happen next - more domestic quality and consistency. What needs to happen in the summer - get rid of the dead wood, the ojo’s, flannigan’s, Jones, Barker etc and replace them with QUALITY not quantity. There will be challenges e. g. likely replacing morelos and building/ keeping a strong spine.

My take on tonight’s performance? Look back at my posts I said we would win tonight as European football suits us. I’ve zero complaints with Europe.
What the manager has failed to do is come up with a system that gets us consistent results domestically. He needs to figure out how to beat a low block, 11 men behind the ball defence. But he refuses to experiment.
Hey, I would love nothing more than to tune into the Hearts game to find he’s playing 2 up front, but he won’t. He’ll play the same formation as tonight, we’ll struggle, and people will be on here saying the players don’t want it enough and questioning their mentality.

But not a night to single out players, huge performance from every single player out there. Strange how we can play like that against the 3rd placed team in the Portuguese league and yet we struggle against lower placed SPL teams. Hopefully that is now the catalyst to put a run together. What a result! Should have been three up at half time, but the way they all dug in was a joy to watch. You could see towards the end that Braga didn't know what to try next. Midfield battled all night, and I have to take my hat off to Goldson and Edmondson who were superb. The smile on Edmondson's face when he was being interviwed said it all. Mendes in the studio with super Ally said he thought Hagi would be better in the middle than out wide, his pass for Kent was the pass of the game. Great night to be a fan of the famous!

Amazing result
Against a team who thought they would take us out
So so pleased great performance all round over the 90 mins
It was a tough tough match and we dug in stayed organised and came into the game and had plenty of chances
I said in previous posts I believed we would go through tonight I had the belief we would raise our game
Amazing for the club and for the finance si'd of things to, to get into last 16 who knows how far we can go
Thought Kent was light weight early on but great finish
Young edmondson was brilliant and even golds on tonight as superb was nervy early on lol
Kamberi thought played brilliant and done really well up front
Overall really really over the moon with the result.

I’m sure Ferguson would leave the players in no doubt what is required but not sure how good a manager he is - I think he should be at the club already as a coach though. I don’t think there are enough people at the club who understand what it means to play for Rangers.

Second of all, in his first full season in charge he won the cup, in his second season he won Feyenoord’s first league title in 18 years. If anything, he had a more difficult job to achieve than Gerrard as he had to beat Ajax, PSV and AZ to do it, we only have to beat Celtic.
First season - GVB - 1 domestic cup. Gerrard - 0.
Second season - GVB - league title - Gerrard - lost the league by mid-February.

I've never tried to preempt before by offering my thoughts on team selection and I know this line up will not be the manager's choice, but it would be mine. I would go back to 4-3-2-1 with which we had some success, this time in a more defensive mode, but with options to attack on the break.
