Well AGAIN we've played ANOTHER mediocre team tonight, and AGAIN, we failed to deliver, it's sad to watch Mark Warburton try get these mediocre players to raise the bar to get 3 points against a team that's not even on the same plant as our great name in RANGERS! I honestly thought we would've challenge ls year for the league, there's NO CHANCE of that now, we're far too slow in getting up the park, the last 20 minutes of that game tonight, kranjcar gave the ball away at least 10 times, either a stray pass, the wrong pass, or just simple giving it away, we've been crying out for a striker, tonight not once was that boy garner put thru with a fast forward thinking pass! Shocking display AGAIN! It's going to b a long hard season. O'halloran hill kranjcar dodoo and haliday ain't good enough for our squad it's embarrassing to watch them try come on n either win a game for us, or steady the ship in some capacity. it's sad times up there!

Totally agree mate, the midfield needs sorting as much as our defence, no point in signing a striker if the strikers are having to come back to pick a ball up in midfield, formation and tactics need to change before it gets worse.

I've never been a Warburton fan he was a breath of fresh air when he came up here but since we won the championship we have been dire bar the old firm game we have played four teams who are bottom six teams and struggled dropped four points we haven't played any of the top teams yet his tactics are poor we can't score goals and can't stop conceding them what does Davy Weir do defence is shocking tonight's display was the worst yet that is a very poor Rangers team no pace no guile inside the box teams give us the ball and pack their defence we have no idea how to break a team down I hope I'm proved wrong but I think the honeymoon is coming to an end.

Trying to bite my tongue here with all the doom and gloom mongers coming out the woodwork but these persons proper rip ma knittin. Ask yourselves, where were we 15 months ago before warburton took over? Remember the fitba we played? Compare it to now. Remember how much we've spent to assemble this squad. The manager has earned our patience and that's exactly what he'll get from me. Like it or not, making 10 new signings will ALWAYS result in a period of adjustment. Get behind the gaffer and the players . 8 points from 12 is by no means a disaster and i for one would bite your hand off to finish the season having amassed 75% of available points.

I think your a bit harsh there and maybe disappointed. I understand your frustration but regarding your question about warburtons judgement. I think he is honestly trying to find best team and I feel it's too soon to judge him. I for one still back him but this team has a long way to go and this could be a bedding in season. I hope not tho. Jury is out on hill and Barton.

Agree MW has had a free pass from most fans but the thing that gets me is Lee Wallace. Had two shocking seasons and then good season last year. This year has been non existent. However cause he has stuck by us Gets a free pass to play pish. by our fans.
He is without a doubt our worst player and contributes nothing.
Anyway thought we were ok tonight but if one or two players don't contribute (like Wallace) we will drop points because it's every other teams cup final playing us.

Even the passing was backwards for the most part.
I thought Tav played well, Rossiter had a quiet night, I like the guy but Halliday made no difference and Joe Garner seems more interested in fouls than goals.
The usual mistakes were made at the back and every set piece look like a potential goal for the other team.
A draw is better than a loss obviously, but we should really be doing better at teams like this.
On another note, what was the ref about? Some terrible decisions for them and us!
Done now, move on and I am sure "We'll learn from it! "

Think Kenny Shiels is right Warburton been found out same predictable play with same defensive mistakes. Kilmarnock are rank rotten but held on comfortably with 10 men. If anyone seriously thinks we can challenge Celtic then they aren't in touch with reality. Boyd can hardly run yet he scores. Warburton has actually signed a worse centre half than Kiernan in Hill.

That was a hard one to take tonight. Was really looking forward to seeing pace of Dodoo and really hope he is okay as he provides something different. Ofcourse need to learn and move forward. Need for faster passing and penetration up front. The defence tonight made Boyd look like a player with pace, enough said. 8 points from 12 and undefeated is top 6 form. Heard comment from MW at end that in first half we played long balls and this was not to plan. Lesson- unless we can play short passing game at pace longer balls are inevitable. Get it sorted MW. Of the starting 11 thought only Tav, Barton and Forrester with Mckay in the last 20 mins were acceptable.

Easy to notice who's actually played football and who hasn't when u read posts and for people to say garner is a waste of money is crazy what I saw tonight is exactly what we need from him getting in people's faces and putting himself about the park! The team needs to gel together! An hour or so against a team scrapping for a draw is hardly enough to write him off.

Clueless tonight. Midfield to slow moving the ball. McKay Forester Tav were best Miller was ok. Barton Rossiter requires someone to take the lead. Haliday was shameful. Hill made Boyd look good. Early doors but a lot to ponder. Thankfully Tav showed Barton who takes the free kicks.

What were Hill and Kiernan doing for that goal. Both were watching the ball but not bothering to play Boyd offside, yet neither decided to mark him either? If they weren't going for offside then they'd have been better stepping back and keeping Boyd in front of them so they could see him. Yet again Kiernan's positional sense was atrocious.

I can't believe how Boyd is bossing our defence. What a bunch of bloody wimps. Hill is a joke. Any thoughts that we have three centre backs is having a laugh. If we are lucky right now we have Kiernan and that is it and he and Hill were horrendous in that first half.
The team is all over the place, something will need to change in this second half or we are going to lose this game!
We would be better taking Hill off and playing with one centre back, that guy is a total liability!

We have looked poor going forward all season, conceded two goals (a scott mcdonald deflector and a screemer) Hyperbole is the word that comes to mind Dellboy we are fairly solid in comparison to how we were defending last season and we still have to bring in the big guns like Crooks and another centre back. We are weak from set plays mostly and that's a team problem it's not like it can be solved with one other addition in there the whole team needs to mark better. With our style of play last season and how our team went forward we were never going to look defensively solid but I feel playing 2 holders at times will benefit us. You'll all know I'm a big Danny Wilson fan (pointing to the two diagonals last Saturday Barton would have been proud of) and I feel we just need a solid partner for him be it Kiernan stepping up or someone else coming in.

Was reading a few posts and it got me thinking about our league. I know this is kinda hypothetical but there's been chat for a while now about increasing the size of our league. So I was thinking about the clubs you would consider Premier League clubs (or at least clubs that would thrive)
Let's say the Premier League would go to 16 teams, I've picked in my opinion the 16 most prepared clubs for a premier league.
Rangers, Celtic, Hibs, Hearts, Dundee, Dundee Utd, St Johnstone, Motherwell, Ross County, Aberdeen, ICT, Kilmarnock, Hamitlon, Falkirk, Raith Rovers, Dunfermline.
Would any of you guys have different teams?

Rossiter is our best player at the moment, personally I would have him in the midfield rather than Halliday. Other than that and assuming that none of our injured players are fit then I have no problem with the rest of that team.

I did take ages thinking about the middle 3. I chose Halliday and Barton over Rossiter due to Barton's reading of game covering the 2 centre backs and Hallidays dynamism and work further up the field but any 2 of the 3 would be fine I think just not all 3.

Bluegenius, I agree regarding Barton although his actual performances have been quite average however I reckon that Rossiter's work rate, his ability to attack and defend and his general ability is superior to Halliday. The problem for me is that Halliday should play further forward but I find it difficult to choose him over Forrester, McKay, Windass, (when fit), so I am not sure where he fits into the team, (although Warburton clearly rates him)!

Prodan passed our medical, but atletico had withheld some medical records about his knee problems and gave us false information.
Medicals at that time bear very little resemblance to those of today simply due to technological advancements.

Our squad is already on the thin side with 24 first team players, so I very much doubt we will be selling anyone. Obviously players have their price (doubt we would get much for the ones you mentioned though) and if someone made a good enough offer we would sell.

I don't see us selling any one and what is more none of the players mentioned are likely to be the ones that would attract attention from elsewhere. The players that are most likely to be targets are guys like Tavernier, Rossiter, McKay and possibly Wallace. These are players that we want to keep at all costs.
I would not like to see us lose Holt either since I reckon that he should be a mainstay of our team and I don't see anyone coming in for Halliday right now.
As for Kiernan and Wilson they are not likely to have any takers and right now we don't have anyone to replace them.
Transferring players out to generate cash is not the answer!

Hope Garner plays, looking forward to seeing this boy as seems to be able to put himself about. Something we have missed, need a strong player who will let the opposition know he is there and same goes for big Senderos, If he can stay fit he won't be pushed about. c'mon the Gers.

Seriously though-don't think Senderos would have played tonight even if he signed in time which I don't think he has so it will be the dynamic duo in the centre of defence and let's hope they improve-Barton will start despite his fairly average displays so far and don't think Holt is back in full training yet so I'd get Niko on for 60 min to be replaced by Windass (if fit) or move Forrester back there and bring on MOH as I think it will be the same front three as Saturday with Garner coming on after an hour. This time though let's get tore into them from the off and take our early chances, Saturday might have been a different game if Miller had scored from that early chance-they'll want to sit in find their shape and hit us on the break (what's new, eh? ) So let's not let them settle score an early goal or two they'll have to come out to try and get back into it then we can really get our pass and move style going and take them apart for a confidence boosting comfortable win. Simple as that but as they say the game is played on grass (or synthetic in this case) so a win keeping a clean sheet might have to do. Personally I'd like to hear Bully 1's score prediction as he called it right on Saturday.

A thing that has always stuck in my throat for now over 40 years in going to watch rangers is this booing at half time if things are not going our way, again on saturday there against motherwell it happened, I honestly hate that and have never participated in it in all my time in going to ibrox, we're there to support our team through winning and losing and all the more so when there's still another 45 minutes still to play, we have no divine right to play well and win every game, we have to earn the right to do that, granted its not the majority who do it, support the rangers for 90 minutes and then we can all have our debate coming home with our mates and in the pub etc, support them even in adversity, don't boo them that doesn't help the team one little bit.

Regarding the Motherwell game we played terrible and feel that we are still finding our feet even tho we are top of the league. I agree with u Wthe15 that I don't boo the team at half time. The ref did have a stinker right enough but guys were booing team. Just taking a look at fixtures again there I think December will be a few great home ties with the supposedly big 3 but also a tricky month before winter break.

We have absolutely no need for safe standing sections in my opinion. They've only done it across the city to appease the bigot brigade. End of the day old firm and european games will always be a good atmosphere and standard league games will always be as they are with or without a standing section. What's changed at Celtic park with the standing section? Absolutely nothing as that section stood anyway Just like the union bears. Complete waste of time and money.

Senders still has not signed and Hill did not look match fit in his one and only appearance. If and when Senders is signed I suspect that he will replace Wilson and Kiernan will still play. Just an opinion but I reckon that Warburton rates Kiernan higher than Wilson. At the present time neither of them is good enough but imo neither is Hill.

in warburtons style of play which I love btw, we often leave our cb's outnumbered and out paced we didn't do that when sir davie was our star defender he was brilliant but if we played the style of football we do now he would have been caught out aswell.

Big Davie had Cuellar then Bougy as partners who were both pacey which i think a lot of fans overlook. i thot big weir was brilliant but i'm sure he would be first to admit both those guys did a lot of covering for him.
