CAN RANGERS JUSTIFY THE COSTS!

As most of the true fans know rangers have been slowly but surely pursuing a very sneaky and underhand campaign on making several long serving and loyal staff redundant!

The club have stated for the record the reasons for this "cost cutting" is the club no longer play in the Scottish premier league, has no European money coming etc, etc.

During this botched process by the clubs HR department (with the full knowledge and endorsement of Mather and Stockbridge personally) several staff where removed under the premise of the "cost cutting" agenda.

Now I know the costs need to be cut and yes the staffing levels are to high for where we are at the moment, but let's look at justification!

How can you try and justify redundancies when the club went on a wild spending spree at the same time as this process was underway? Hypocrisy at best downright shameful behaviour by the HR department ( who have been nothing short of disgraceful in there treatment to affected staff) Stockbridge personally oversaw the whole process with Mather right beside him endorsing everything that happened, my understanding is another 2 good faithful employees have been given the chop very recently!

As I said cuts need to be made and staffing levels are high in some departments, but the numbers just don't add up.

The senior staff at rangers need to be removed and the "insider traders" (they know who they are) will almost certainly be exposed very shortly

Start at the top and rid the club of the dross that remains.

We could start a list of who needs to go and why!

James traynor! Your salary alone would have saved everybody who has been made redundant!

The bonuses paid out to ALL senior management and first team members would have saved further damage to future employees affected and probably helped the bank balance by a considerable amount!

THEY have no SHAME!

Then we blow £200K on media house!

Still waiting for ANSWERS

Show the ACCOUNTS!

Show the DEEDS to all the properties the club is supposed to own!

Show us the MONEY! (Where has all the IPO cash gone!)

We will keep asking and keep demanding answers!

We WIIL NOT SURRENDER OUR CLUB to you shysters

Excellent points RealRanger

There is only ONE course of action. Its time to do it for the sake of the club. We need to starve them of money, then the cretins will leave. Everything else has been tried. As long as the fans feed their greed and give them money into holding companies and backdoor business, they will hang around and feed off the fans. Time to cut off the supply. Enuff is Enuff.

OP I appreciate your sentiments, but I'll answer two of your points. 1) How can redundancies be justified when there's just been a wild spending spree? Simple. Most fans prefer to. stick heads in sand and kid themselves on that rangers are still great, that its all just a blip before normal service is resumed (i've yet to see a single post ever accepting that SDM style dominance of the game in scotland is gone for ever, rather than just temporarily on hold. ) This means that most are actually happy to see mccoist maintain a large squad, and the issue of backroom staff rendancies is frankly irrelevant in comparison to "showing the world that WATP". In short, deluded greed so deeply ingrained that folk just cant, or rather wont, face up to reality. So, while I appreciate you and a few others are trying to bang the drum of reality, don't expect too many others to listen. 2) The club has already been surrendered to shysters. More accurately, this club was set up by shysters when the true RFC went bust. Its so much more simple when you accept that basic fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Therealranger but you and the fans are sitting back and letting this happen. You continue to buy ST and merchandise and fill the stadium on match days. They are taking you all for a ride. If you want changes for the better you will have to organise peaceful demonstrations to let these SHYSTERS (your words) know that the supporters have had enough and demand change. JK

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumour is that as we now have club and company seperate, club owes company £15m loan - and therefore assets can be switched from one to other at moments notice.

Fans own shares in plc which is subsiduary of company.

Good post mainly but should have been said a year ago instead we surrendered to the spivs big style and they've taken most of what there is to take all ready. Too little from the fans way too late. #SadButTrue

Exactly right amigo. geoerge going Ibrox at 6pm as have meeting with fans that trust me and I trust them to arrange flyers hand out

I HEAR a strong rumour that stockbridge's wife is supplying legal advice to one of the sub contract companies he has contracted to carry out work on edminston house!

Sound like a severe conflict of interest from another lowlife who will continue to drain the lifeblood of our club!

Pity she didn't investigate that edminston house is riddled with asbestos! What will she gain from this little enterprise, will hubby make sure she gets plenty of work slung her way? After all he does have plenty of previous!

Will edminston house be safe and will it open as planned?

How much more will this cost the club over and above the initial outlay?

Will the club prove who owns the deeds to this part of the clubs assets?

Another disgrace by the shyster board members!

Mate not too sure if this is correct I used to go to scool with his wife and she cettainly wasnt studying law at college, i'm not a fan of stockbridge but think this sounds a bit far fetched

cranny

Agree0 Disagree0

@cranny Nobody studies law at school just saying like

Agree0 Disagree0

I said I went to school with her and that I know she did not study law at ''college'' mate she studied dance as far as I am aware

Agree0 Disagree0

@3: maybe she's helping her husband lead the fans on a merry one then?

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 cranny I think if you check with APM contracts Ltd I think you will find a connection! Tony woods is the guy who is being slung all the work from Stockbridge and I can assure you I have solid reliable sources who confirm she is involved with this project at edmiston house!

not sure about her school years or college? but I am sure the many informative bears on here will keep us updated, just pointing out another scam by Stockbridge to line his very large pockets (again)

I hear there will not be a big crowd Tuesday night? Not really surprising considering the apathy surrounding our club.

I hope we get more than 10 at the front so we can at least meet and discuss where we go from here.

"George" keep the faith and get the points across, I am sure the other troops will have there points and opinions let's knock our heads together and come up with a plan!

Don't think "media house" will be present but be aware of there skulduggery as they will do anything to assist the "great stadium robbers"

I notice they have still not come out and declared how much they have spent on outside contractors and consultants since February?

Stockbridge will be very busy using his rubber to rub out the last figures on the IPO "snapshot" after all he has to justify why he, Mather and the rest of the board allowed £22M to disappear from sight! Makes me wonder apart from the two usual suspects why is this being allowed to happen? VAST sums unaccounted for paper trail longer than the west highland way!

As Cuba gooding said "show me the money"

Stockbridge the gallows await! Oh and if you don't mind take your pals Morgan and Angus with you.

See you Tuesday fellow bears!

Would just like to say fraser airs has been called into the scotland u19's squad. So looks like the wee man has pledged his allegience to scotland over canada. Charlie telfer, liam kelly and andy murdoch also make the squad. Well done boys.

Big Yin

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fraser Aird is a donkey, he'll never get a full Scotland cap so it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things who he chooses. He's talentless.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes got enough talent to play for scotland one day doesn't seem to have the ego that ruins most scottish talent

Agree0 Disagree0

2,

You must be kidding. Aird, along with McKay, Crawford etc. is only playing for Rangers because of where we are, and even then he has failed to look even remotely good against some awful, part-time opposition. If these kids were playing for any other top club in Scotland would you be hoping we went out and snapped them up at the earliest opportunity? Would you f**k! They contribute nothing.

The spfl plan for hearts was always not demote hearts to the spfl 2 but to deduct them fifteen points so as to relegate them thus putting them on course for a head to head against rangers in the championship next season But it looks as if there plan is doomed to failure

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just read in the paper caley Partick and st Johnstone donating money back to hearts to help them to keep going absolute joke Scottish football is everybody but the spl knew that hearts wer going into admin before the season ended

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load on nonsense. Rangers were not demoted for a start. If Hearts liquidate they will go through the same process as Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate, the spfl don't have the intelligence to create such a masterplan. They are muppets.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC don't do CVA's, was that not the quote from them, do hearts not owe them money and are the lithuanians likely to accept pence in the pound for the debt secured on their ground? The inevitable will happen and the league thrown into chaos.
But to be honest who cares enough going on at our own club to worry about.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unlike Rangers HMRC are not Hearts main creditor therefore they will have to take whatever is agreed in a CVA between the Perferred Bidder for the club and Ubig/Ukio's Admininistrator/s.

What a riduculous and paranoid post. The points deduction is set in stone in the rulebooks for teams entering administration. Anyway what would be the big point of possibly having two Rangers v Hearts games a season earlier than expected when at the time it looked entirely possible that Hearts would go into LIQUIDATION anyway and end up in the lowest tier of football in Scotland?

With all the talk today about the potential signing of Pandaza and Simenson plus another striker it's clear that others will have to leave. Who do you think will leave before the end of the transfer window?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Someone tell Ally threr's no money left in the war chest, he's on a one man mission to bury The Rangers!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thers not a war chest, Chuckles took it away full of cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chuckie will be back for more, he's like an olden days rent collector!

@3 Aye and Ally and the board will be hiding behind the curtains, waiting for him to go away.

@4 No Ally and the board will be hiding behind him to make sure they get their share, how much bonus did they get for winning the third?

Enjoyed watching the team perform on Friday night. Could have been many more, but delighted at what we got. I must admit I am looking forward to more of the same this season, although I really think that behind the scenes we are in very bad shape again. Not as bad as previously as I think that to be pretty close to impossible. However, there are far too many horror stories / rumours floating around. No one knows who owns what etc and there are too many charlatans and poisonous snakes so deeply involved within the club that it would take some time to "cleanse" and move to new and positive investment. My fear is that we don't have much time as we aren't making much additional revenue and even if you just consider player wages and director salaries and bonuses, we are leaking cash left right and centre. There's another £200k just off to Media House. How long have we got with the unknown cash we have. No idea of the answer - I hope Jim McColl knows what he is doing and can deliver a restructure within a very quick timeframe. There is so much work to do to get the club back in the right hands (but who's hands?). The only plus side to admin is that we'd get rid of this current stock of parasites without the same debt and problems (depending on what the mystery accounts tell us) and a points deduction would probably still see us win the league assuming we can keep our players. Here is hoping for some swift and positive resolution.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Regrettably endorse this thoughtful post. After the hell we have been through, one hoped that an open book AGM and the fan groups' encouraging new solidarity might at last augur boardroom stability. But the re-appointment of the hapless Media House, and the very presence of these absurd brothers from Taggart casting, are simply beyond parody. Thankfully, shareholders and the big institutions should be able to distinguish the rogues, charlatans and opportunists preying on our club and despatch them bag and baggage. The current irony is that on the park, we are really beginning to shape up for the challenges ahead, and the bright new acquisitions should see competition for l every position. But this promise will be sabotaged if we fail to finally bring peace, vision and good governance - and hopefully serious money - into a clean and transparent boardroom.

Senior London Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed can I ask you are we honestly close to another admin {Ed001's Note - no one knows for sure.}

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 probably not imminent but can't see us getting through the season unless something happens

Agree0 Disagree0

Last years accounts for the IPO showed

income £9m (st)
outgoings £17m
loss (£8m)

so in just 7 months they hemoraging £2m/month.

Then £17m appeared in books on goodwill (revaluation of assets - with brand bought for 0 valued at £16m) and so they claimed £9m profit

ta da! and rest is history, IPO money flowed in. and out. ST money in. and out.

If all was well would be profit warning to AIM. there is not, just can't afford £80k to host EGM.

Agree0 Disagree0

It looks unavoidable if the figures a accurate. It's the same old story, audited accounts. They won't tell the whole picture but will help.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone seems to think a 2nd admin will be a good thing because it will get rid of the present lot running Ibrox but you thought that when this happened with craig whyte. Plus you need to get creditors to agree to 9p in the £ or whatever remember if players ain't getting paid they can walk away. who is to say who will be allowed to get control of ibrox by the administrators remember this lot will be allowed to pick their administrator again D&P again no doubt. how many more shady charectars are up craigy and charles sleeve and who will be given prefered bidder status.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know via the media that one of the two Easdale brothers was charged with VAT evasion many years ago. If you know anything about VAT fraud then they never let go. I would imagine this guy would be now cleaner than clean. I am really interested to find out what else he has allegedly done.

Agree0 Disagree0

Admin is the last thing the club needs and should be avoided

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 what are you talking about who do we owe money to please explain

Agree0 Disagree0

Admin / CVA / Liquidation

All of them would make potential new owners at Ibrox life easier

My thoughts (as an owner of a small business struggling to get through tough times and keep my workforce employed) are with the creditors about to be stuffed again.

Please bears don't think that this is an honourable solution

People like me supply services to Rangers - they then go daft signing players that they can't afford, and ask me to take £500 for a £20,000 invoice,

A new company - looking a lot like the old one - then starts back up as if nothing has happened

Its nothing short of criminal!

Agree0 Disagree0

@10 Its hard to say but I would have asked for money upfront.

Over at Ibrox, director SMART, please take the rest of the circus with you when you leave, especially the 2 biggest clowns there, Stockbridge and Mather, and don't forget about Glasgow's answer to the Kray Twins, the pathetic Easdales,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Can I put forward a point of view I have personally about the Easdales. I have done a major amount of research on everything to do with the whole debacle at Rangers over the last year and my SCRIBD post is what I have discovered has happened to us (Long Firm and now Asset Strip Professionally) BUT in all that time all I have picked up on the Easdale brothers is one crime 14 years ago and that they are a 'force to be reckoned with' in the area of Scotland they hail from. Reg and Ron Kray were evil criminals from the outset as youths till their demise SHOOTING PEOPLE DEAD IN PUBLIC. Whilst I am sure the Easdales have a past (hardly fair to compare!) I BELIEVE PASSIONATELY, as I was in legal profession, that if you serve your time, that is it, you should be given a 2nd chance. If we were to judge every businessman based on their past crimes there would be a serious amount of Company Directors and Footballers and Celebrities that would never work again. Bobby Moore THIEF. Gazza ASSAULT of a female. EVERY EBT taking sports person including MANY Rangers men. Mike Tyson RAPE (in my opinion wrongly convicted). Paul McCartney DRUGS :-). 50 Cent. Robert Downey. Mark Wahlberg ATTEMPT MUDER ffs (didnt know that till I researched). last but by no means least Nelson Mandela!. ALL or most for way more serious crimes BUT with a second chance look what these people have went on to do. I do not know the Easdales but think should be given a chance JEEZ SDM and CW have no previous and look what they have done to Rangers in their 2 different ways.
My information is they will switch sides to the good team that Mr McColl is spokesperson for and the fact they are DYED IN WOOL Rangers fans UNLIKE SDM CW ALL THE CURRENT BOARD plus CHARLES GREEN PLUS HIS PAL AHMAD. So I know how I feel about Rangers and if they feel even 10% of that they would not intentionally screw us over. maybe I am being naive but that's the way I have led my life

Looking forward to printing off 3000 'flyers' to hand out and hoping we all unite by Tuesday.

Meetings with 2 'fans' groups Monday and my source on the 'takeover', plus the lawyer I have asked to prepare Fans Group 'Co-op' and possibly representation on the new board, I will post all news and suggested options to increase pressure on the current board PEACEFULLY

Funny I took a break at Edinburgh with my fiance and my daughter saw the Ladyboys' of Bangkok and realised for the first time I had seen more useless P***KS than on the Rangers Board ;-)
