absolutely terrible getting worse. no caring what some fans will say. oh it doesn't matter as the league is done it's a nothing game anyway. u have guys that travel everywhere no matter the cost. we should beat these small teams in first gear. these last few games would have been a boost going into the cup final. hibs are on a run and will be full of confidence.

our form has been crap apart from the dundee old firm and Peterhead game. there has been too much cheap goals giving away can't take our chances and far to much passing sometimes just have a pop anything can happen. m.w and d.w will need to pull something out the magic hat to get the team playing again.

27 Apr 2016 05:49:01
Totally agree mate. i'm sure I wasn't the only one there last night that had to take time off work to get to the game last night, paid money for travel/ ticket etc and I get to watch that rubbish! i don't buy into the "it's a nothing game" pi5h! the manager and players in recent interviews have said themselves this club doesn't go for second best, well they ain't showing that mentality with the sub standard performances lately, thinking about selling my ticket for st mirren game but prob couldn't give it away just now with the way we are playing. really need a performance to give us a boost for cup final it dare I say it. we will get beat, severely!

27 Apr 2016 07:21:59
Here's a thought, maybe we could do with someone who doesn't' "ideally suit Warb's style of play" as we are going to have to mix it up at times.

27 Apr 2016 08:09:36
I thought livi played really well morgyn niel again very impressive really surprised he's not playing for a bigger club.

27 Apr 2016 09:15:06
Let's be positive for the majority of the season we have been excellent and suddenly we have three poor results and we have a crisis. Yes we should be winning these games but slack defending against Hibs and Alloa cost us points.
Waghorn will hopefully feature against St Mirren which will give us better options upfront, but the concern for the cup final is who will play as the DM as Ball is suspended.
On a squad issue- are the players on loan available for selection for the Cup Final- if so Hardie should be on the bench and possibly Murdoch as he can play DM.

27 Apr 2016 09:23:22
Morgyn Neill previously played for Motherwell, defender 6.2 and 20 years of age.

26 Apr 2016 21:40:24
i remember a few years ago we won league at easter rd and never won another game that saeason.

27 Apr 2016 07:47:33
Is that the season we lost the Scottish cup final to Dundee Utd?

27 Apr 2016 08:09:59
Was that helicopter Sunday the last game of the season? Lol.

27 Apr 2016 10:08:50
no it was further back than that.

27 Apr 2016 12:35:40
Mad Ivan Golac.

26 Apr 2016 22:08:47
Big game still to come win or bust!

26 Apr 2016 21:48:39
With 'pace to burn' I was expecting MOH to be getting the ball, skinning the defence, rounding the keeper and planting one firmly in the back of the onion bag. So far I'm afraid his report card should read, 'must do better'.

26 Apr 2016 22:05:14
he's a good player with loads of pace and can hurt defences but I think playing for a big club like rangers has got to him no used to the pressure of must win every game. he will come good at the start of next season fresh start with his new team and will show why we bought him.

26 Apr 2016 22:57:34
Hope yer right big c.

27 Apr 2016 08:10:20
He looks like he's not even trying.

27 Apr 2016 08:20:43
Yeah he has been very poor for us and doesn't look interested some of the time. However need to give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he goes after a pre season. Maybe players don't realise the difference between playing for old firm and other clubs. You can get away with bad games for St Johnstone but not for us.

26 Apr 2016 21:47:59
Need to sort this out we haven't really won since before the old firm because that was penalties anybody could have won and with the final coming up we need to start wining again.

26 Apr 2016 22:17:48
Beaten by Hibs, only a draw with Alloa, beaten by Livingston. Warbs must go!

Only joking but as the OP says, this is getting slightly worrying with the cup final in sight.

26 Apr 2016 15:56:27
Few players that would be good signings for the gers Callum Paterson from hearts big powerful full back . Will vaulks brilliant player with good potential! Greg Stewart very decent player and Jason Cummings think warbs would turn these boys into right good players!

26 Apr 2016 17:56:48
Watched a few clips off the lad Matt Crooks, very impressed, would fill the DM role no problem at all, reads game well and also scores a few goals, Windass a gem too, exciting times .

26 Apr 2016 19:58:52
I keep saying Crooks will relish playing in the SPL next season - strong and with a big physical presence - A great piece of business by our management team.

26 Apr 2016 20:29:07
Afcw191,
How can you say he is a great piece of business before he has even kicked a ball for the team?

26 Apr 2016 21:20:46
The one plus fact, irrespective of who come in will be that we will be getting rid of under performers like Law and Shiels and personally I will be happy if King goes back to Hearts as well.

We need better, more consistent players with a win at all costs mentality.

26 Apr 2016 21:40:19
TOM42

Agreed Shiels has been utterly awful and a waste of a jersey. Law and Clarke not good enough and King flatters to deceive. Not considered good enough for Hearts and certainly not good enough for us going forward.

26 Apr 2016 21:18:04
Because biffo I know how good a player he currently is and with the expected improvement and development following his move to us I am sure it will be a great piece of business by the club - do you not think his signing was worthwhile.? Do you then think that it is a bad signing? Are you aware of the various roles, and positions he can play in a, team? I don't recognise some of the names, that are being banded about as potential signings, so I can't comment on them but having, seen Crooks play, in my opinion he will prove to be, a, worthy signing -.

27 Apr 2016 07:51:06
Ian Rush was sensational for Liverpool scoring a barrowload of goals but when he went to Juventus he was awful. I never said Crooks wasn't a good signing I am pointing out that until he actually plays you can't call it a good piece of business. There have been plenty of players who have played well for one team but poor for another.

27 Apr 2016 12:31:10
Your comparing a 2.8 million pd signing of an established international goal-scorer in the, late 1986/ 87 to a pre-contract signing from a League 2 English club almost 30 years later? aye very good biffo - I'm annoyed we got beat last night as well you know -but that reason takes the biscuit - I'm sure MW was made aware of that info before signing Crooks.

26 Apr 2016 14:31:17
RIP the 96 god bless.

26 Apr 2016 15:32:47
Seriously who disagrees with this type of thing.

26 Apr 2016 16:33:16
Very, very sad people.

26 Apr 2016 18:11:50
What kind of supporter disagrees with the original post and then disagrees on other posts! I would like them to crawl out from under there stone and reply why they disagree?

26 Apr 2016 20:24:57
Fair play to the families to stick that out for so long must have been hard at least finally got the outcome they deserve! shocking nobody will be held accountable a police apology doesn't quite cut it for me.

26 Apr 2016 21:32:47
My heart goes out to all the families of the liverpool fans who tragically lost their lives attending a football game, no fan deserves to go a football game and never come home, well done the whole liverpool community and the families for continuing their fight for justice for their tragic 96 loved ones who lost their lives through this negligence which has now been finally proved, very sadly for Liverpool fc and my club rangers we are united In grief and tragedy, rangers/ liverpool 66/ 96 rip, god bless!

27 Apr 2016 08:10:40
Maybe Juventus fans?

26 Apr 2016 14:13:01
Re earlier post about Jordan Thompson. If I'm not mistaken he was on loan at Airdrie till a few weeks back when he suffered a season ending injury. The only youngsters they could play tonight are Liam Burt or others currently playing for the under 20's. Don't think they will though as we need to keep the current squad plus Waghorn and Forrester (hopefully) ticking over till the Cup Final.

26 Apr 2016 12:05:35
Morning fellow Bears. Any thoughts on the team to play Livingston tonight? I'd like to see Liam Burt and Jordan Thompson start the game. I think all the other youngsters are out on loan which is a pity because Walsh, Murdoch and Hardie could also have been given a run.

26 Apr 2016 13:35:20
Thompson is on loan at Airdrie is he no?

26 Apr 2016 14:28:49
Thompson is also injured for the rest of the season. tonights team I'd go for the same back four, ball, Holt, Burt with Mckay O'hal and King upfront.

26 Apr 2016 14:44:21
Thompson loan ended because of injury I'm sure. Think he's out for the rest of the season.

26 Apr 2016 17:20:42
Would expect O halloran to start alongside Miller and Mackay.
Holt Ball Halliday in the midfield and the usual defence Fod, Tav, Kiernan, Wilson and Wallace.

26 Apr 2016 12:04:16
Have to laugh Celtic and Dundee u in turmoil and we are back next season we will be very strong and the way warbs talks about rangers and how he can sell this experience to top players I can't wait to see the players we get in most successful domestic club in the world hopefully in Europe why would you not sign.

26 Apr 2016 14:55:29
Why is everything written in the press about us all " mhedia rubbish or timmy propaganda or anti rangers" and yet anything about any other club is taken as gospel truth. people on here have to be realistic. one penalty shoot out result does not make us world beaters or even contenders. let's wait and see who of anyone comes in and how the first round of results goes before shouting from the rooftops. and has anyone got any information regarding financial situation that could possibly prevent entry to european football?

26 Apr 2016 15:41:53
Nothing will prevent it otherwise the club wouldn't be getting excited about cup final.

26 Apr 2016 15:44:44
We need to have filed 3 years off accounts to enter European competitions, I think there was a problem with the accounts being filed when we were in the 3rd division (think they where late) so if that was the only problem we should be fine.

26 Apr 2016 15:57:31
JohnnyG

Have said on here a few times I think people are getting carried away with how good they think the team and manager are. Warburton has done well however let's see how it goes in the top league before hailing him as some sort of magician.

26 Apr 2016 16:36:43
I agree but without getting carried away there is a sense that we will do very well next season.

26 Apr 2016 16:52:54
Johny G,

it was more than a penalty shoot out. Rangers out played and out classed them in almost every department on the day.

Whilst I agree with not getting carried away and that one result doesn't decide what will happen next season, to describe it as ONLY a penalty shoot out win is laughable. After what we have been through, you can see why people are getting excited.

Could it be that we have found 'Precious' or one of the others who have gone missing recently? Surely no Bear could be so pessimistic?

26 Apr 2016 18:29:42
People are entitled to be optimistic. I said on here for weeks prior to the Celtic game that the gap was minamal in the first 11. Yes they have a bigger squad but it's also an unhappy one at that and loaded with average players, mostly midfielders. We need numbers which I'm sure we'll get as we have the right people in charge.
It's the way the whole team have played throughout the season that has everyone excited anyway, the Celtic game was just the pinnacle.
Once we get rid of the deadwood from the previous regime like Law, Shields and Clark and replace them with better players than we have we will have a tight happy squad full of quality. Our whole starting 11 are at practically the same level, we dot need stars in my opinion just guys who can come in and do what we're already doing. And tighten up defensively.
I'd rather be in our shoes than there's put it that way.

26 Apr 2016 19:03:46
Jfc. just the response that is expected on here. sorry to be a realist. as i said let's wait and see if and who comes in close season.

26 Apr 2016 14:45:08
Celtic feeder United are in turmoil but let's not get carried away about the main enemy- unless they find a bigger diddy than Delia (which is bordering on the impossible) they are going to be better next season. Although however they get needs to clear a lot of dead wood from their squad (particularly midfield) before signing anyone new.

Like most fans I am eager to see our summer transfer business and looking forward to next season.

26 Apr 2016 18:17:00
Rangers have lost more games in Lower Tier games than CfC have lost V Top Tier Clubs All season. Reality will sink in over a full season V Top Tier Clubs and then see how it goes.

26 Apr 2016 22:49:50
We got put together in a few weeks tho Pud that's the difference, and the Manager was forced to go with some of the duds from the last regime due to lack of numbers. Once he has stamped his mark all over the team and it is made up of entirely of players he actually wants this summer we will have the better squad. We have already proved we have the best starting 11 after playing you's off the park at Hampden, and missing arguably our 3 most dangerous players in Waggy, MOH and Forrester. Yous were at full strength.

For all the money you's have wasted since we left your squad is in a bit of a mess. Any new manager is going to have to bring in his own new faces and try and offload 20 dud midfielders, how long will that take?

26 Apr 2016 11:43:02
After 27 long years. Justice for the 96.

26 Apr 2016 13:58:34
Not before time, they will never be forgotten by all the Rangers family, as we know too well, as our own tragedy reminds us. Thoughts from a Rangers fan.

26 Apr 2016 19:03:25
There must be a few reprobates dragging their knuckles through the site going by the number of disagrees linked to the Liverpool supporters thread. Very sad. Probably find the same reaction at the mention of the 66 poor souls that never returned from Ibrox on that fateful day in January 1971.

26 Apr 2016 14:49:09
Justice will be when the police face punishment for gross incompetence and covering up the truth. Hopefully the match commander will spend some time in jail and loose his extraordinary generous pension.

Sun newspaper has shown it has always been evil, even before phone hacking and bribing public figures. They were instrumental in the cover-up and helped the police sweep their mistakes under the carpet.

26 Apr 2016 11:33:55
Was at POTY other night and heard from a reliable source our budget for transfers next season is £4million, that includes wages.

Wouldnt expect much to be fair. Bosmans, loans and players in the final year of their contracts at a push.

Dont want to get too excited for the transfer window and as long as we have competition for places with some added experience we'll be in good stead.

26 Apr 2016 14:50:10
Not sure why someone has clicked disagree, think your post is about right.

26 Apr 2016 20:47:26
A think that sounds about right to me 👍🏻.

26 Apr 2016 11:08:50
I was reading the gaffers interview in the papers and he was talking about signing players and he said I hear people talking about how we need to spend at least 5 million on new players and the gaffer said that's nonsense, so I don't think we're about to spend a lot of money in the summer but what I will say is I trust the gaffer 100% to sign really good inexpensive players, really looking forward to see who we sign this year, it's not how much we spend, it's how we spend it, just look at Celtic for the perfect example, they have spent millions on their squad and most of them can't even get on the bench.

26 Apr 2016 14:52:08
Spending big money doesn't guarantee anything- tore andre flop.

Best to spend whatever we have as wisely as we can within a coherent strategy, encouraging what MW has said - time for DK to back him.

27 Apr 2016 09:16:54
Flo wasn't a flop it was poor management that overpaid.

26 Apr 2016 11:01:58
I recall McParland saying he wanted young players from Scotland, I understand Kane Hemmings is English but spent all his career in Scotland, I have a feeling he may be a genuine target.

26 Apr 2016 11:14:29
Thinking Greg Stewart, Sam Nicholson and Jordan McGhee might be amongst the likely Scottish targets McParland has in mind.

Hemmings is a great goalscorer but don't know if Warburton and Co. would want him.

26 Apr 2016 11:56:04
if this is our policy we will slip like Celtic sure to get us back to the top of Scottish football but in the long run we will need to bring in some quality Celtic have wasted time and money on signing like gms Armstrong etc good players but have lowered the standard of Scottish football there attack is basically Dundee Utd/ hibs from when we went down. Player like Davis and jelivic that's the type of quality we need if we will ever see great nights in Europe again.

26 Apr 2016 14:56:56
boabt78 we don't have the money simple as that if you haven't it got you can't spend it. unless we double season ticket money or find other ways to raise cash the likes of signing a steve davis or jelavic is going to be a distant memory. now could be if we qualify for europe there may be some more money but don't be holding your breath.

26 Apr 2016 15:47:28
We never had the money when we signed jelavic or Davis either but it still happened.
