At tonight’s game with my son and left at half time not because of what was happening on the park but solely based on the bile I heard from a group of fans not far from where I was seated! My lad is 12 and I don’t think for one minute he doesn’t hear obscenities at school or on the street but to hear the absolute trash spoken from this section of our fans was absolutely disgusting! On leaving I had a word with a few of them and was told if I didn’t like what they were singing I should get back to “ singing in the chapel “ ( I shall leave out the other profanities which they said ) !

I’ve been a season book holder for nigh on 40 years and followed my great club through thick and thin but after what I was subjected to this evening because I didn’t want my son thinking this is the way he should be acting I’m struggling with the idea that I may not go to another game this season never mind renew my book for next season when the time comes!

I mentioned to a steward on the way out and was met by a shrug of the shoulders so if this is the case I’ll not be stepping foot in another away ground!

26 Sep 2019 00:20:24
Write a letter to the club mate, i was at ross county last season, a good amount were only there to snort cocaine and get boozed up and half of them went back to mallard pub at HT. Says it all really, leaving a game at HT that you travelled 3hrs one way to get too. And Sitting in a rubbishy wee dreg of a train station pub watching it on al jazera tv. Clowns.

26 Sep 2019 00:47:00
I must say home games i do tend to leave bit sharp to catch a few b4 bus leaves. Were there any banned songs being sung? I was at work and had to watch it on silent.

26 Sep 2019 07:09:01
Shocking! We will never learn!

26 Sep 2019 08:04:42
Blackwoodbear, they're not supporters pal, they're knuckledraggers! We want and need rid of those idiots, who just want to sing bigotry and really are plastic fans, as they just want to drink, leave early for more drink, while wearing our colours. The away supporters are no doubt the worst and i agree with everything you're saying mate, we need somehow to shed ourselves of these morons, for the benefit our great club moving forward! I just wish they would grow up and get a life! They are acting like stoneage people!

26 Sep 2019 10:15:56
If folk want to pay their money and leave early that's up to them. I take my 8 year old son and sometimes we leave early due to traffic, weather etc.

26 Sep 2019 10:12:36
Dundee hamilton, and Dundee also Hamilton they are better places to go drink?

Tell me what's wrong with Dingwall? I was born and bread there still do live here.

Tell you what the pubs down your way all need doing up they are proper states, the mallard is a cracking pub Dingwall is a cracking place to live, u don't see junkies laying around the place or begging for coin, it's a safe secure place to live hardly ever any trouble, an best of all everyone knows each other.

There is also other good pubs to get drunk in Dingwall the mallard is the place to go though but why not try the royal or the Caledonian pub or the brittish legions also good for you at top of high street literally a couple mins walk from mallard opposite the best chippy around.

Had to laugh the pub has sky by sport and shows majority of matches.

26 Sep 2019 12:19:33
I wish they would stop all of this crap. Anybody with half a brain knows that it will have serious consequences for the club if it continues. If you want to persist with this moronic behaviour then watch the game in the house. We don't want your bile at any of our games.

26 Sep 2019 12:42:04
Everyone knows each other a bit too well up there Alexander :)
The folk I know from Dingwall are absolute wallopers. no offence :) :)

26 Sep 2019 15:00:42
But harsh on Yately and his pals.

25 Sep 2019 22:52:39
First things first, we won a game against a big physical team on a bad pitch. As regards our two centre halfs, I think Goldson is the one who needs dropped, Helander has impressed me prior to tonight, I felt he spent most of it covering for big Conor. I was impressed by big Dykes of Livingstone, he would create a lot for us up front, and would provide more space for Alfie. We need to start being more clinical in front of goal, stats tonight, both teams 10 shots, Livingstone 0 on target, Rangers 6 on target, so I think we deserved to go through to meet Hearts.

26 Sep 2019 09:33:28
Hellander looked ike he was running in custard for the whole game.

26 Sep 2019 09:46:10
irvger, couldn't agree more, goldson strolls around far too casually at times and is then caught out by anyone with pace. Worst game I've seen hellander have last night as well, neither seemed to be able to handle a physical opponent. Plastic pitches don't help, teams who have them just seem to lump high balls all the time, but we never seem comfy defending that. At least we are battling for wins this season I suppose, onwards and upwards.

25 Sep 2019 21:43:14
Hellander was terrible. Goldson is not much better. Livingston are a disgrace. Dirty fouling Bas##rds!
We should have been down to 10 men. Kamara is not good enough. King has got to get a start or bring Docherty in. We are through but were very lucky.

25 Sep 2019 22:10:29
Nothing to do with a horrendous pitch😤.

25 Sep 2019 22:23:07
Maybe time to start george edmundson. Michael beale has said in an interview that he rates him highly and predicts he'll become a rangers legend.

25 Sep 2019 22:34:38
As1974 you’re spot on about Helander he was worst man on the park, why does gerrard insist on dropping Katic when he’s done nothing wrong, take jack and Morelos out of that team and we are very ordinary, better buck their ideas up before Thursday.

25 Sep 2019 23:17:31
The jury has been out against Hellender mate. Why we dropped Katic I'll never know. I'd like to see katic and Edmunson. We got away with it tonight. Delighted to go through but.

25 Sep 2019 23:37:05
Just in from the game. Thought Helander was fine first half, but playing beside Goldson must have messed with his mojo in the second half, when he was not so good. But Goldson was Rotten, guys. No wonder the big Swede got nervy, playing next to him. Time for the manager to put big Katic back in. But leave Helander in and try him and Nico together. At the end of the day, we're through, against a physical, stuffy team on a poor surface. Bring on the sheep on Saturday!

26 Sep 2019 07:54:13
We all seem to forget Katic had an absolute nightmare against Livi at Ibrox and has been dropped ever since although I think he will make it but maybe not under StevieG.

26 Sep 2019 08:14:57
Have to admit i left livingston last night very impressed with their striker lyndon dykes. He absolutely bullied our 2 centre halfs, who couldn't handle him whatsoever. Our centre halfs seem to struggle badly with a big imposing, physical striker, ie. dykes, cosgrove, ikpeazu,
brophy etc. Our centre halfs are too slow and big dykes last night gave both goldson and helander a torrid time. Our first team coach rates edmundson highly and he is certainly faster than our other 3 centre backs. At least katic can cope with the big strong physical strikers in the scottish league.

25 Sep 2019 21:34:46
Who scouted Hellander? The guy is mince . Runs like a lassie and is slower than Nuno capucho!

25 Sep 2019 21:44:10
Shocking tonight but it’s all about winning!

Once again a section of our away supporters are an absolute embarrassment to our club, spouting sectarian bile. When will it ever end. Disgusting.

25 Sep 2019 21:45:06
This is what happened last year dropped Katic when playing well played worral most of rest of last season cost us hope don’t make same mistake. prefer Katic next game against Livingston more physical.

25 Sep 2019 21:50:22
Agree djab. Slower than a week in balinnie.

25 Sep 2019 23:22:19
I've got to say cossie. I never heard any sectarian singing tonight mate thought the fans where excellent. Our team struggled tonight and the fans got right behind them. It could have been one of those games where the fans got into the players but they never.

As I said I never heard one reference to the Pope or fenian in any of our songs tonight.

Regarding the game totally agree re Katic he should never be dropped. Rested maybe for one game, yes. He is our most consistent CH imo.
These are wee things that imo SG shows a lack of experience. I think helander was poor tonight, however one poor game doesn't make him a bad defender. I just think he needs more time to adjust to our game and that's what I mean regarding a lack of experience from SG. Helander should introduced slowly. Ie provide cover to give our 2 main CH a rest .

26 Sep 2019 10:13:18
We did not deserve to win playing like that. We got away with it last night but if things don't improve, we are going to come crashing down like a ton of bricks. Against Feyenoord we came out the blocks all guns blazing, we rattled them in the first half, but once the high energy sapped away Feyenoord were the better team. You can up your game at times and get results but you cannot produce that level consistently unless you have the quality which i'm afraid we are lacking.

25 Sep 2019 21:33:22
Shocking tonight so far. Really feel for the travelling support they have been short changed! There is no dig in the midfield and no balance in the team. Only Mcgregor has been good tonight.

25 Sep 2019 20:54:08
Absolutely terrible challenge twice on Morelos and Aribo A sending off all day long!

25 Sep 2019 20:40:53
Totally unconvinced with Helander can't believe how off pace he was at Red card incident looked like he was towing a caravan! unless Katic done something behind scenes we're not privy to can't see why he's dropped in favour of Helander suppose £3m outlay has to be justified? at moment IMO it's not a good buy at that money.

25 Sep 2019 20:52:56
Haha blue blue sea So your judging him on that incident the boy has been brilliant so far He's not quite justified 3m yet but he seems to 3m well spent!

25 Sep 2019 21:06:02
He’s not coping with Livi In yer face style atol, there 9 is causing all kinds of problems. The lack of width and pace in our team is reminiscent of Celtic game.

25 Sep 2019 21:18:44
Aye he’s looked shocking tonight. Maybe give him the benefit of the doubt as looked good in midweek and this is on the terrible Astro but jury is out.

25 Sep 2019 21:34:39
Scotty can only judge what you see! Left for dead by the way Goldson also too easy done for pace as well at times Is he 3m better than katic? not a chance he's hardly been brilliant competent at best I take it you think he's better than katic if so that's your opinion.

25 Sep 2019 22:07:30
No Katic for me is better but Helander is far from a 3m disappointment yet.

25 Sep 2019 22:30:53
Blue sea I didn’t disagree with you based on tonight’s performance as I said he was bullied and had a shocker. He’s been decent the last few games tbf to the lad but after tonight’s showing a lot of work needs done on the training ground, we are fortunate we have 4 good CB’s, I’d def be inclined to make a change for weekend.

25 Sep 2019 22:44:43
Well done to the defence for another clean sheet against a very difficult opponent on a very difficult surface. I happen to think we have 4 very good centre halves and there’s little to choose between them. Helander was always going to struggle on a surface like that, I’m surprised he was selected.

25 Sep 2019 20:24:43
What is the script with scott Arfield? His touches and general play has been bad all season so far.

25 Sep 2019 20:51:36
Tav - having a mare tonight as well!

25 Sep 2019 21:03:20
He’s needing a rest, looks heavy legged.

25 Sep 2019 21:40:26
Scotty123 apologies meant to reply to kazmania 👍👍.

25 Sep 2019 22:00:39
Plastic plastic plastic . no matter what you say . tricky tricky tie on plastic plastic plastic.

25 Sep 2019 22:51:01
Correct molsgoals, we play very poorly on plastic.

25 Sep 2019 18:52:34
For those not going to the game tonight the team is

Macgregor
tavernier Golson Helander Barisic
Jack Kamara Aribo
Ojo Morelos Arfield.

25 Sep 2019 14:35:44
Just back from ibrox paid my final resoects to fernando great turn out
Proud to say the man played for rangers
Such a sad day.

25 Sep 2019 14:52:35
What a turn out at ibrox, away for a dram after very emotional day. Great send off to our former captain. Sleep well Fernando.

25 Sep 2019 17:31:48
Just reiterating what you guys said.
I was also at ibrox and what a send off by our club and supporters today for fernando. A very sad day indeed,
but fitting that he got the send off, he so deservedly received. It was heartbreaking in general, but when fernando's wife and wee daughter Isabella got out the car at ibrox, to go in the front doors really did touch most. God bless them! Sleep easy fernando, you're suffering is now at an end and you would be very proud looking down today, about the love for you and all you're family, friends and fans who turned out to say goodbye! We will never forget you the one and only FERNANDO RICKSEN. 😪💔🙏.

25 Sep 2019 19:21:04
Well said sir.

25 Sep 2019 11:32:14
I welcome any other club's fans to Glasgow today to pay tribute to Fernando and to wear your club's colours in an expression of the better side of Scottish football.

25 Sep 2019 15:41:18
Already have mate he deserved a good send off. Really good player sad to see the way he went. But fought tooth and nail. Rest in peace up above mate.

25 Sep 2019 10:57:22
Big game tonight.
One that Gerrard and the team can't be taking lightly.
We can't be having one eye on Saturday's fixture against Aberdeen.
Although it's 'only' Livingston, they can cause teams a few problems, especially at home on a poor surface.
Are we expecting a lot of changes?
We huffed and puffed against East Fife with our second string though the conditions were horrendous that day.
I'm expecting to see Katic back partnering Helander?
Or will it be Edmundson and Helander after Michael Beale raving about him the other day?
Tav possibly rested for Polster?
Davis rested? A start for Kamara?
Defoe to start?
It's games like this we could also be doing with a third striker.

25 Sep 2019 12:02:13
We do have a 3rd striker and that is Greg Stewart, like it or not. Hence the reason we didn't bring in another out and out striker. No point in paying more wages to a 3rd striker that will never play. So if Morelos or Defoe are injured then it will be Stewart, after that then you would have to accept Aribo, Arfield or Kent playing in that role. Today is about Fernando and the send off he deserves for being such a courageous fighter until the end. football will take care of itself.

25 Sep 2019 12:55:07
I think Greg Stewart was more brought in to play a wide role which i think is the better role for him. Defoe and Morelos are excellent for our two strikers, never in a million years would i imagine we would have a player of Defoes quality as essentially a backup striker. Another out and out striker wouldn't go a miss however as the number of games we will be playing will be a high number.

25 Sep 2019 13:56:52
no way he was brought in to play a wide role, he played wide for Aberdeen and was no where near as good as when played behind the striker for Kilmarnock.

25 Sep 2019 14:39:01
G Mack has stated in his presser that there won't be wholesale changes in the team. Just little tweaks to the starting 11.

25 Sep 2019 18:27:31
Thats the best way stewarty. seen folk on fb pages changing 8 or o players. Thinkin some people not realising how big a game it is.

25 Sep 2019 10:53:09
Looks like after next year Scotland will lose all Europa League places after next year and we will all be be placed into a 3rd tear now tournament as we are not in the top 15 coefficient. This will have massive consequences to Scotland! 😭
Hope Fernando gets a great farewell ✌️🇬🇧.

25 Sep 2019 01:42:15
Ricksen the final battle I almost gave a tear watching it sleep well Fernando.

Review Of The Day 23rd September 2019

25 Sep 2019 07:39:01
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 23rd September 2019

24 Sep 2019 23:42:35
As I'm sure all fellow bears will agree, the documentary about fernando on BBC Scotland tonight was absolutely heartbreaking! 💔. I don't mind one little bit that my tears were flowing. Its a cruel, cruel illness, which fernando fought right 'till the end! He's now at rest and god bless him.
To watch anyone go through fighting MND is so very harrowing to watch. Rest easy fernando and god bless you sir. I will be at ibrox tomorrow paying my respects to the one and only FERNANDO RICKSEN,
Gentleman, warrior, captain, rangers legend!
His name is secure in our history for eternity!

25 Sep 2019 09:18:07
Great post mate 👏.

25 Sep 2019 09:52:09
Not ashamed to say I cried too. Not as a Rangers fan for an ex Rangers player but as a human being hurt for the family of fellow man. His poor wife and beautiful daughter. It's such a tragedy. The world can be very cruel.

25 Sep 2019 14:53:31
I have caved in. My heart is broken.

25 Sep 2019 15:12:40
I consider myself not the most emotional guy, but I was in absolute floods of tears and choked with emotion. It was a tough watch me n the wife were a total mess watching it, what an absolute inspiration our fernsndo was. Just shows that life is never as bad as you think when there is people suffering horribly with diseases like MND.

24 Sep 2019 23:30:31
Couldn't fully watch Fernando Ricksen biography tonight. Too heartbreaking. But thought bringing MND symptoms to fore allows every bear and others to dip into pocket to help in finding cure then endeavour well meant. If it allows his name forever linked to gers even better. Never forgotten.

25 Sep 2019 07:09:58
Same as you MBW couldn't bring myself to watch it 😥.

25 Sep 2019 08:49:16
Would it be opportune for RFC to look at its nominated charities and include MND as part of the main group?

25 Sep 2019 13:54:14
Yep. Am in.
