can any one tell me do rangers fc
still own all the ground around ibrox
and if they do how much is this worth
i know they own the big carpark all
this ground must be worth somthing
the ground am talking about was the
areas they were bought for the
casinos the try too build or did sir david
take this with him

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I don't know who owns the gound around Ibrox, I know that Tesco wanted to open a superstore on part of the land but the deal got KO'd by the council on the grounds that the ASDA Store was to close, which seems strange because other towns have ASDA and Tesco practically side by side - Cumbernauld springs to mind.

Any truth in the story going about that cw renaming u glasgow rangers 2012? Heard that after administration that's whar we will be called as we will be technically a new club.

If that's the case does that mean that we will be starting from scratch and no longer have the title of most league wins?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

No mate am sure that wont happen rangers will be going for there 54 league title this season and that's it can you confirm this ed to this guy to stop him worrying {Ed001's Note - it isn't worth it, if he thinks there is a hope in hell of that happening then it is best to just steer clear!}

Atheist here. Just popped in to ask if you've wised up yet? I tried to warn you all those months ago but things are moving even faster than I imagined.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How what's happening faster than you imagined. Let us in on you secret? All us bears know nothing that's going on at our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

No I've not wised up. Atheist you kept saying you were warning us but it's not as though we can do anything. Whyte bought the club and we are in a better place with him than we would be had SDM kept it. The tax case remains an issue, will we won't we win it. Wondered where you had gone. You may have missed my recent post about Celtic fans never talking football, so I'll ask you how do you think Celtic are doing? Are you happy with the performances?

if anyone watches midweek games on tv they will see how much empty space there is at EVERY ground even Ibrox and Parkhead.
This tells me the game is dying fast and really needs the 20 team league suggested by Elvis at Falkirk. Go further too and re-introduce a proper reserve league, trophies and all
We need to accept that Scottish football from the Law, Dalglish, Johnstone and Greig days are long gone, and probably never to return, so lets give the game a shake and move FORWARD TOGETHER before it ends up like the Irish league i have to watch cos i live in Nornireland

Has a Celtic fan set these companies up so that "IF" we had to change our name we cant call ourselves Glasgow Rangers? Seems like that was plan.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Plenty of other names, Rangers RFC, Rangers , Rangers of Glasgow, Ibrox Rangers, Gers FC etc etc. He could be an opportunist though hoping to sell the name, who knows

Agree0 Disagree0

The broxi bears the sons of ibrox the list is never ending watp we will still be here

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair points, guys, but its not "Glasgow Rangers" is it? ie, the most ideal name for our club. If, and thats "IF" we had to change our name it has to be to "Glasgow Rangers" - our unofficial name.

What about "The Rangers" or " Rangers WMSC" ( worlds most successful club).

For those of you who are not registered with Followfollow I just had to copy and paste this brilliant wee tale, originally posted on the site by a fellow bear by the name of Disco DeeJay. You couldnae make this up, it's the The Mad Mad World Of Timmy's Mind

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Celtc fans are not known for their sense of reality, but today, I heard the best one yet.

The complexity (madness) of this may take a couple of reads to sink in, so follow closely and here goes....

A secret meeting was held between the SPL Clubs, SFA and tv companies in mid August, due to Rangers cash problems.

Administration this season for us is a certainty apparently, but it would be harmful to the other SPL clubs and tv companies, so a deal was struck at this meeting.

You see, Rangers are not the only ones with cash problems, so are ESPN (one of USA's biggest sports channels), who are struggling due to viewing figures and in danger of going the same way as Setanta.

In order to keep ESPN going, they need the SPL to be a close run race this season, so at this meeting it was agreed that Rangers would be allowed to gain a 10 point advantage at the mid point in the SPL, then enter administration and take a 10 point deduction, bringing them back to the pack.

Only then, would Celtc and teams playing against Rangers give their all, effectively making the SPL a race over 2 games against each other, rather than 4.

Days after this meeting, Celtc lost at home to St Johnstone and haven't been trying since. Other teams have failed to score at home against Rangers because they haven't been trying and St Mirren only scored last week to keep people off the scent.

As part of the agreement, Rangers agreed to an early exit from the League and Scottish Cups, which is why we lost to Falkirk.

But it gets better......

In order to thank Celtc for their agreement, a deal was struck between the SFA and UEFA to allow Celtc back into the Europa League for the tv income, as long as they agreed not to qualify from the Group and that's why even if Sion win their case and get reinstated, Celtc won't be thrown out.

So, every SPL game since August and Celtc's Europa League games have all been a stitch up.

The guy that told me this is a civil servant and sounded almost normal till we started talking football. He was almost slabbering down the phone with rage when I told him that all the pieces of the jigsaw fit together and he must be right.

Bring back the X-Files.

Or maybe now that the truth is out, that's what Andy Walker is on to. Hillarious:

I heard a conversation between a father and a son, with the Son asking why he hates Rangers so much

"Well it's a well know fact, sonny Timm, that there's a group of the five wealthiest people in the world known as, 'the pentaverate,' who run everything in the world, including the newspapers and make sure Rangers are always successful and keep Celtic lagging behind in every way. And meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion known as, Castle Grant."

"So, Dad, who's in this pentaverate?"

"The Queen, The SFA, The SPL, The Scottish Government, Fifa, UEFA, The Gettes, The Rothchilds and Graham Spiers before he went tits up. Oh, I hate Speirsy. with his wee beady eyes, and that smug look on his face, Oh your gonna read my articles, Oohh."

Dad, how can you hate Graham Speirs?

Cause he'll talk bullsh*t, in a Smarmy Kelvinside accent about Rangers on a daily Basis....Smart*rse,

A businessman based in England has set up two new companies which have been incorporated featuring the name Glasgow Rangers.

Glasgow Rangers Limited and Glasgow Rangers Football Club Limited were both registered with Companies House on Tuesday, with both registered at an address in High Wycombe.

Mr Gerard Moran is listed as the sole director, with his registered address the same as that given for the two companies. Moran was not available when STV contacted one of his other companies.

The businessman is also registered as owning Gaselectric Renewals Limited and Credit Agreement Auditors Limited, which are both based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

However Craig Whyte, who purchased an 85% share in Rangers Football Club plc in May this year, has denied any knowledge of the companies’ creation and says they are not linked in any way with the SPL club.

A spokeswoman for the club said: "Craig Whyte knows absolutely nothing about this."

The 33-year-old has already been out of action for more than a month after being substituted during his side's Serie A opener against Lazio on 9th September.

He had to be replaced after colliding with team-mate Alessandro Nesta and was later diagnosed with sixth nerve palsy, a disorder associated with the dysfunction of the cranial nerve that controls eye movement.

"That (collision) was not the cause of my problem, but it was an incident that helped me discover I had one," Gattuso said in a press conference.

"The 20 minutes I played against Lazio were a nightmare.

"I felt drunk. I could see (AC Milan team-mate) Zlatan Ibrahimovic in four different positions."

The 2006 World Cup winner, who has been at Milan since 1999, is set to miss most of the rest of the season as he will not be able to undergo an operation for another four months.

"In 25 per cent of cases the palsy of the sixth optic nerve occurs for unknown reasons," explained Milan's chief medical officer Rodolfo Tavana. "Often this kind of problem clears up by itself in a period of two to six months."

Gattuso is determined to overcome the biggest battle in his career.

"Football is my life," he said. "I'm a lucky man.

Seriously scared

"Three weeks ago doctors told me there was a chance I might never play again, but now they are saying that is not the case and I will fight hard to return.

"For a while I was seriously scared about my health and worried for my life, but now I have undergone several tests I'm calmer.

"It'll take more than this to beat me. The important thing is to not give up.

"I feel an important part of the dressing room here. I feel respected after playing here for so long.

"My team-mates know I'm full of enthusiasm, so age is certainly not a problem. As long as the enthusiasm is there, I can keep playing.

"I hope you will see me back on the football pitch."

The former Rangers midfielder hopes his condition, which has affected his daily life, will improve.

"Before I had triple vision, now I see double," he said. "There has been some improvement.

"I can train, but I can't play because I can't see well enough.

"Right now I can't send an email, I can't watch TV, I can't drive and it's tough not to be able to take my children to school.

"I will need to wait another four months before an operation can take place to resolve everything.

"The important thing is to get back to normal life and to come out of this stronger than ever."

Get well soon wee man. Rino Rino Rino.

Agree0 Disagree2

Am I Correct is this Tax avoidence thing not from like 1999 - 2003 anyway?

Agree1 Disagree1

I thought I'd ask the question because if we change our name and become a different club then technically we have no trophies. This worries me a lot. How come Dundee can get away with it twice but people are talking about us changing our name?

Agree0 Disagree0

Talking of changing name, has anyone else heard that some guy has been setting up companies with the name glasgow rangers in it? just wondered if it was a tic fan who are taking the names which sound a lot like ours and (in the unliky event of insolvency) we cant have the name... what do you think?

Agree1 Disagree0

I think people are getting confused with the meanings of administration and liquidation. I'm one of them, but if we go into admin which is the worst possible scenario (because our assets are valued at more than the debt) we don't lose our identity or all the other dramatic stuff people are worrying about......I think, Ed?

what has happened to young flecks progress, as with most kids in the scottish game they are touted as the next big thing and then it does not seem to materialise. He,s not a boy anymore but the alarming thing for me is that rangers have invested a lot of money in this young mans development. at 17 he was getting spoken about as a potential international for the future so somebody has seen potentail in him.....he seems to have stagnated i wouldnt like to think that getting rid of him would mean we have another charley adams that would flourish under a new enviroment.but i haven,t saw any progress in the last 2 years is it time to move him on ...yes or no answers please

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Have to agree but needs a good sell on just in case

Agree0 Disagree0

I seen him play in the u21's a few times and he always looked a player then, but he may have found his level. I don't want to give up on the boy yet, I'd get him out on loan and get him some real game time asap. He was given the no 10 so Smith must have seen something in him but the question is, is how bad was his fall out with McCoist?
Dmrangers

Agree1 Disagree0

We seem to have turned him into a cm which i dont really agree with.. He never gets a chance to be honest ! hes quick, a good passer and got a great shot.. i would love to see him get some football, healy got a game in the league cup but no fleck! he will be away on loan in january a think and hope !
FauldsRFC

Agree0 Disagree1

He's still young and has loads of potential, but because of all the hype when he was 16,17 people give him a hard time.
He needs more game time. I hope he can get that at Rangers not some where else as I think he will come good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did he have a fallout with McCoist? i think its just McCoist's gneral preference to play established older players and no more than a couple youngsters in the squad at a time. I think it's fair enough but i do agree Fleck deserves maybe the rest of this season out on loan in league 1 or another SPL team and then take it from there. He's still only 19 though... Muzz

Did he not have a bust up with McCoist a couple of years ago on a trip to Ireland and was sent home?

don't know anything about the boy Sychev but can anyone who does tell me if he is in any way a Naysmith type? Seems to be a firm train of thought talking about Naysmith going to Villa

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Nasiy going nowhere an that guy is nothing like him an we ave no chance of getting him anyway

Agree1 Disagree1

If thats the case then its typical mcleish picking off rangers best players at will to serve his own quest for success, in the current market i think naysmith must be worth 6 million in premiership terms .mcleish is a mercenary that will stop at nothing to get to the top Rangers were only a stepping stone for his ambition but thats the market we are in, the russian lad looks decent but he failed at marseille so i dont think he travels well .first Davis now naysmith thank god mcleish got shay given or mcgregor would have been on his radar as well

Agree1 Disagree0

No no no if Andy carrol can go to Liverpool for 50 million and your saying it would be only 6 million for Naismith in the premierships eyes that is absolutely bull s**t if Aston villa want Naismith it should be 12 to 15 million for him Naismith is one player a think would make a name for himself down there

clear this up please is it autamatic entry for winning the league this year.there seems to be some confusion.w.a.t.p. {Ed001's Note - yes, to the Third Qualifying Round, it clearly states so on the UEFA website if people would just take the time to go and look!}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I have been on uefa.com and could not find anything on this, can you give me the page so I can check this.

It was a press release that I found if that helps. Sorry I really don't have the time to spend more time looking it up when I have already done so and know what it says.}

So... no, no auto entry? {Ed001's Note - yes, automatic entry into the 3rd Qualifying Round for the winners and runners up of the SPL.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Motherwell will be getting all excited at the thought of the 3rd Qualifying round.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree2 Disagree0

So... no, no auto entry?
I must admit, I thought the winners went straight into the group stages, hence a 10mill guaranteed jackpot which would have made winning the league a financial priority. If the runners up fair no worse than the winners as regards the CL, no wonder CW kept his hand in his pocket. That explains a lot. Don't get me wrong, putting one over the manky mob is what it is all about for me, but you can bet that's not the case for the chairmen at either Old Firm club! Don't expect much of a spend in January...

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but the winners will be in the champions side and runners up in the runners up side ! a big difference there..

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Ian Blacks other action after he was taken off. Following walking off, kissing his badge then taking off his shirt, he then crossed himself. I have no problems with players who wish to cross themselves but this purely done to get a reaction from us...

I'd also like to say well done to the Gers support, following the Celtic fans booing the young boys who play at half time at Tynecastle, we gave them a nice round of applause. I hope you were watching Alex Salmond!

recommended by our chairman and character references provided by the BBC should be enough to
convince them they cant fail(not like their team)
