Did anyone read the column in DR where McCauley is talking about Rangers? He says even at his age now he is living a dream and wants to give everything he has for the team.

great professional mcauley, like a said in previous posts solid professional, he will hold his position in team, for me it could be who partners mcauley in defence this season.

supercooper, goldson still seems shaky to me, katic has lost confidence, worrel is the more steadier defender to partner mcauley at the moment. we shouldn't just play goldson because he cost 3 million if goldson form is shaky which it is, he doesn't merit a starting place for me. i believe in old school way of doing things, get them fighting for the jersey.

We play goldson IMO, because he's a better centre half than both katic and worrall, simple as that mate!
Nothing to do with us paying £3million for him!

Was yesterday not Goldson’s first game on the left side? As an amateur centre half myself it can be disconcerting at first if your used to one side then get moved to the other. Wasn’t his best game for sure but still think he should start.

Not sure Goldson/ McCauley will be the pairing against Virrareal. As much as like both don’t believe enough pace to deal with fast mobile forwards.

Watched Villarreal the night . there’s no great . betis were better. Villarreal 4th fav to win competition tho 25/1 Rangers 150/1 . we can beat them tho come on rangers.

Was really happy with McAuley yesterday. Looked to be organising things and reads the game very well. Shame he’s not many miles left in him and his lack of pace could perhaps become an issue.
Replace Lafferty, Middleton, Halliday with Alfie, Kent and Borna and I think that’s about our best XI for me.
Middleton needs to learn to come inside once in a while and trust his right side or else it becomes too predictable. I think for now he’s better as an impact player from the bench.

I think it was hard for Middleton yeaterday, as Halliday was not in support enough. So he was getting doubled up on every time he received the ball.

Middleton should get game time for his set plays alone. Not saying he should start every game, but his crossing from set plays has been outstanding this season.

I'd like to see Middleton and gredza play alternative matches while Kent is out then use Middleton from bench as I don't believe in playing Young guys every match especially with 2/ 3 games per week, end up burnt out!
If he has a few games where he has a hard shift with not much joy against some experienced fullbacks it can ruin his confidence.

Was at the game today and saw ryan jack and alfredo having a wee go at eachother on the pitch, don't know if anyone else picked up on that but i'm hoping its nothing serious.

What language were they speaking in? As I've said before Liverpool have a great policy of enforcing foreign players to Learn English quickly. Gerrard must know this. I think Morelos would get fewer yellow cards if he could communicate better in the language of the refs. It's not rocket science, you only need a couple of hundred words to get by.

Potential of going top of the league next week 😱, also the bonus of still being in a position to qualify from Europa cup group — what an amazing job our manager has done thus far. Add a couple of players in January and we are in with a shout - not too loud though 😜.
