25 May 2020 23:01:08
On my discussion about transfers that one is over moving onto the team I'd like again Walter Smith kinda team I'm after a hard to beat even at a goal down you just knew Rangers would score yup a team like walter you knew when you played that team you were in for no easy game what style do you guys want?

27 May 2020 09:33:56
Rfc98,aye, mate, lol.

25 May 2020 22:20:54
Anyone catch Gareth McAuley's bit in the record? He absolutely nailed it! Talking about their 9iar best article I’ve read about it. I know it’s a rag but well worth a read!

26 May 2020 20:05:11
Gareth mcauley Staunch! big sutton bit big style 😂😂😂.

25 May 2020 21:08:27
There is an awful lot of folk on here putting a lot of time into what they think could better the league better Scottish football
That's all well land nice etc

But shouldn't you be more worried about us winning this league the way it sits just now?

Seems these days there is only a few of us left on this site actually worried about the team and where it's headed

The mob in the east are laughing at us
Last season we said it was going to be our year after the old firm game at Xmas we said we were going on to win the league

They have taken 9

And we're sitting here worried about league format? What's going on, lockdown fever really has taken the wind out of some folk

Where is the passion for us to get a right decent team together and win this next season when it starts

Honestly a lot of folk in here seem pretty content on second and them winning 10

And some names mentioned like shankland 😳

The young guys i mentioned will be super stars in the future while we take on more grezdas and Sadiqs of the world thinking we're going to stop them

Some folk need to get a grip and start really worrying about the real problems at Ibrox

Seriously 😑.

25 May 2020 21:32:53
fair dos stingo

just as a matter of interest do you think gerrard is the right man to win the league for us?

just curious.

25 May 2020 21:55:20
Thestigno1, Do you remember where we have been as a club recently? This was never ever going to be a quick fix and our club is going in the right direction! The Tim’s holy grail has been getting 10 in a row while removing us from the equation, so 10 in a row doesn’t wash with me. We need to win a trophy and run them close next season and success will come to our wonderful club! Have faith✌️🇬🇧.

25 May 2020 22:51:27
Trev No7

I really want him to be - but losing faith - I certainly LG think this is his last season to win some silverware

No one else would get any longer
And I’ve listed before how many players he has brought in it’s a lot

That’s why I recently trying to put the blame at the scouts door

If he’s given these players and there not his first choice then you can’t put blame at Gerrard door
But if he really wants a lot of the guys he’s brought in then I really need to look and think is he really the guy for our club?

I’m hoping this season he has now grasped what the club is about and what it’s going to take to win some silverware
And I would atleast want us to run them very close then we can say we’re moving forward with him and the players

A lot of players at the club not good enough and a lot getting paid for sitting about being dead wood

At least 6 has been let go

But it’s another 6 players we made nothing from
It’s getting tiring
Bringing in so many players and making nothing from them let alone not winning any silverware

Something wrong somewhere - so is it the scouting network?

26 May 2020 07:53:39
Maybe Rangers fans want their team to play in a league that you need to actually play all your football matches in order to win it?

Not just ah you where probably going to win it so let’s just say you win it .

See what I’m saying?

26 May 2020 08:02:04
Thestigno 1,i'll ask you the question that i've asked previous regarding who would you want/ like to replace steven gerrard, as rangers manager? A lot shout about get shot of gerrard, but can't/ won't answer this question about who to replace him with, remembering they have to work with a director of football ie. ross wilson. let's see if you would be so kindly to answer my question mate? 🤔🤔.

26 May 2020 08:39:22
Celtic fans would laugh at a plastic cup and you would still listen to them and stick where we are at. a failed business and model. times up. time to move forward. we welcome the chase. we don't watch it.

27 May 2020 09:32:30
The people saying change SG as manager will always then go on to name managers who are even more set in the style of play we moan about not working here, all the Dutch guys etc.

25 May 2020 18:33:13
posting this on here so I get differing opinions.
Why don't some of the lower league teams combine? get rid of the ridiculous amount of clubs in such a small country, have 2 pro leagues of 14,16 or whatever . Surely financially it would make so much sense. more fans for them too.
I'm imagining greed and pride stops this from happening, but surely it's not just me that see's this is common sense now?

25 May 2020 19:04:05
There is 46 teams in Scotland leagues. Make 2 leagues of 23. Bottom 6 are in fight mode to the top 6 from second league. All be it one would be definite religated and one champion. The other 5 from both leagues fight their place to move into promotion or keep there place.

Top league one gets religated.
Top league the other 5 play a oone of game against each other. Bottom 2 of that small league then would play the top two from league 2. With the champions being promoted.

All be it 90% of the time top league tes would stay in. But makes it more competitive.

25 May 2020 19:08:21
I fully agree Gersdaft. I have struggled for years to understand why there are teams that struggle to muster two or three Home Supporters are so hell bent on keeping their identity when they are consistently fighting to avoid relegation or worse. Unfortunately Chairmen that are more interested in themselves and in some cases their seats on the SPFL Board that they refuse to realise that merger would be more financially logical and give them a better chance of success. Alloa is a prime example of a Chairman that would rather struggle in front of 200 supporters on a good day than consider merging with teams like Stirling Albion as an example. There are probably Junior Teams that can muster a bigger support.

25 May 2020 19:13:11
Could you translate that into English fifa guy that is so confusing I've read it 3 times n still don't get it.

25 May 2020 19:23:08
Sir Walter. 2 leagues of 23.

League 1

League 2

6 teams from the bottom of league 1. One religated. Leaves 5. Small playoff. Bottom 2 are in religation zone.

League 2. Top 6. One is promoted. Other 5 playoff top 2 in promotion zone.

League 1 bottom 2 from playoff v league 2 top 2 from playoff. Winners stay in top league or promoted to top league.

25 May 2020 19:44:02
Great work, fifaguy. Just a shame there are only 42 teams in Scotland, so it was all for nothing.

26 May 2020 01:11:11
Well simple 2 leagues of 21 same rules apply.

26 May 2020 08:42:11
The covenator, the spfl & sfa. Can just kid on there are 46 teams, i mean the kid on about everything. Elsa, and get away with it, no questions asked, or allowed to be asked, mate.

26 May 2020 16:56:57
Hi Paulellen, by Elsa, do you mean they're Lion, lol, honestly, no bigger league will be approved, as it would mean less money for the bigger teams.

25 May 2020 18:29:47
these guys wanting big name signings need to get real . WE can't AFFORD THEM! we need to spend wisely, and try some youth, i'm sorry but £4m for Hagi is double what he's worth and didn't do enough in his last few league games, could do with selling a few as well hopefully.

25 May 2020 19:17:33
A quality DoF and quality Scouting can deliver what you want without excessive expenditure but from a quick look at our squad from last season and the young players, (most of who were signed recently from other clubs), if we have any ambition to win the SPL and other Silverware then we have little option to continue to build the team for the next couple of seasons either with clever Bosmans, (that will most like demand a good wage if we are to improve), or we need to scour Europe for bargain players. We barely have eleven players of the appropriate quality, our good quality young players need time to develop. We are still suffering from quite abysmal management during the time immediately after we were forced down to the lower leagues when we didn't develop our own youth and thereafter our choice of successive managers struggled. Now we are dependent on Gerard but he is not going to win anything unless he signs leader, winners and players willing to die for the jersey. In terms of selling players I fully agree but I am not sure who we could sell that would generate meaningful money and we might have to pay to get rid of players like Barker that should never have been brought in.

25 May 2020 20:21:09
I've got not one shred of doubt that brandon barker WAS a mark allen signing. He had him at manchester city when he worked for them. He wasn't a gerrard signing.

25 May 2020 21:21:40
SGL I have posted this b4. It’s why Sg fell out with Allen, that and the sale of candaeas
Sg told king Allen or him to go. We know what happened.

25 May 2020 21:50:05
The majority of us will practically all agree John25,that daniel candeias should never have been sold! I wish we still had him, so i do! I rated candeias!

26 May 2020 09:35:04
I would not have kept him, however it’s the way he was sold with out the managers knowledge.
I have written guys like candeias, tav, Halliday pollster Flanagan will not win us league.

27 May 2020 09:35:35
Stevie g was wrong in relation to candeias he told him he would be bit part player with his new signings coming in, candyman never liked it and chose to go. Candeias should have backed himself as he would have had his place back i have no doubt he was better in that position than anyone we have put there.

25 May 2020 17:23:59
Scott Allen
Don't want to upset anyone's evening but would you sign him?
I don't know his contract status but he were available at the right price, I see a talent that would very probably grab this chance and squeeze the bjeebus out of it possibly giving us the game changer we most definitely need.

25 May 2020 17:42:44
Not for me bim 2 inconsistent. he has found his level at hibs imo. If we where going to sign any controversial figure, think Naismith would be a better option as would offer more of a goal threat.

25 May 2020 18:06:23
Fed up with this name surfacing. let's drop it now he is not worthy of a, blue shirt end of.

25 May 2020 18:14:43
Why are we talking about boycotting away game then wanting to buy players from them.

25 May 2020 18:52:12
No to Allan. And no to Naismith. Will spend more time in the treatment room and is a wee Judas anyway. Not the profile of player we should be looking at. Yesterday’s boys.

25 May 2020 22:42:50
He can play a defence splitting pass, would have him.

25 May 2020 16:53:47
Does anyone think the scouting should be addressed at club?

25 May 2020 18:05:23
what about the boys brigade too.

25 May 2020 14:56:50
Any you lads know when the first instalment of the season ticket comes out? I thought it was Friday but my buddy has told me it is now end of June because of the cock up they have made over things. Is this true?

25 May 2020 15:15:01
30 june i believe.

25 May 2020 16:39:21
I think it’s 30th of June if you are paying it outright?

25 May 2020 18:06:05
end of June if paying outright, if paying by instalments first is due this week.

25 May 2020 20:29:05
That’s what I thought to mate!

25 May 2020 14:18:37
If I gave you £25m who do you sign who do let go? Ideally first 11 not squad players.

25 May 2020 15:42:58
can I have the £25m first pls?

25 May 2020 17:11:25
clyne- rb. david Silva amf. dykes cf. lallana. lewis fergusin.

25 May 2020 19:27:07
Clyne could be a risk but might be worth it, Lallana, I would try and do a deal with Liverpool for Milner since I believe that he would provide the leadership on the Park that we have been missing, a centre forward like Martens .

{Ed001's Note - Millie is on over £100k a week and Klopp has only just convinced him to stay another year. Forget him for now at least. More likely he would go back to Leeds if he left anyway, he has always said he would like to go back some day.}

25 May 2020 19:49:39
What sort of deal could you make with the club of a player who earns £140k a week, BerkshireBlue? Behave.

25 May 2020 13:18:14
1997 Negri scores 5 against untd but just watch his 3rd goal pure class.

25 May 2020 15:59:03
That guy was so special, just a shame it all fizzled out for him or he would have set an unbeatable record. Hard to get someone so natural.

25 May 2020 11:37:11
Just reading that the Danish league will restart at the end of this month. Midytljlland (wrong spelling) are 12 points ahead of FC Copenhagen and the president says that it's unfair to call winners without the final games being played. We all know what our points situation was like. Our league is a fix. A joke. Run by clowns. I'll never spend a penny outside of Ibrox. Let them all suffer and go bankrupt. Bitter. Yes. Feel bad. No.

25 May 2020 11:49:49
Rossco3001, I totally agree mate, I see that McGregor of Ross County is calling for all Clubs to pull together and show solidarity, aye right, just as they all did 1n 2011/ 2012.

I am at t he point, where I don't see a future in Scotland for our Club, the whole of Football on the continent also needs revised, I can see some sort of European League being mentioned again, if so, I'd be all for it, it would also be of a higher quality of football.

25 May 2020 12:47:22
The Danish league isn’t played in a country plagued by religious and political prejudices!

25 May 2020 13:29:13
I don't trust any other club chairman, they are all chancers and hustlers, trying to screw Rangers at every turn, then expect our fans to fill their grounds twice a season, not for me, i would boycott them all, they are cowards who hide behind Doncaster's petty coat. They had a unique chance to flush out the SPFL, and make changes for the betterment of all of Scottish football, and they bottled it, because they felt they wouldn't get their money, a pathetic bunch. Our own Chairman did his best with little ammunition, but at least he gave it a go, his ego will be bruised, but as a supporter he has my backing. He knows as well as us fans, the SPFL will stiff us at every opportunity, we must stick together, no favours will be coming our way. They got what they wanted a tainted 8* title. Next season like no other, we will have to go the extra mile. let's Go together,

25 May 2020 14:12:08
Agree 100%. Give the rest not one single penny. We can win away without the crowd if we are good enough. And if possible ban the others from Ibrox.

25 May 2020 14:59:07
With you all the way mate wouldn’t give them anything surviving on the blue pound for years and I know it’s a personal decision but I can’t understand going to away games I know you’ll get these fans saying they haven’t missed a game in so many years and what have you but my answer to that is save up your money that you pay for your away ticket and bus and put it towards going to European away games we will sell them out no both . Don’t give your money to clubs that out the boot into us and lie down to a corrupt football governing body ran by the manky mob . Get nothing off me!

25 May 2020 15:46:04
A Northern Europe League was mooted before, involving teams from Scotland, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, etc. Maybe that can be resurrected because the top clubs in England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany want their own elite league. Perhaps European leagues is the way forward because even in England, apart from Leicester City, the league has been dominated by Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea in recent years. Celtic can go and play in Ireland and fly their flag there. lol.

25 May 2020 16:00:59
I’m a big advocate of boycotting the others who hate and stiffed us. 1,000 tickets only for away games. Time for action. no more subsidising them.

25 May 2020 17:50:03
Totally agree starve tho teams if our hard earned cash at away games, and before people say the managed well when we got demoted they had planned on that happening and adjust their budget for that. And with everything going on in the world right now when the football does start back these teams will need our money.

25 May 2020 20:39:40
They fleeced us for years in lower leagues, recall that prat at Elgin, selling extra tickets above ground capacity because playing us. could have killed punters. nothing done to them by SFA.
Queen’s Park made enough from one visit of us to last 10 years financially, so stuff them all. hope a lot of them go burst. bunch of parasites.

25 May 2020 10:55:33
I would go for Scott Allan for helping break down low block i know people on here hate the lad but he can play and has the motivation to go at celtic, dykes, hagi and the lad Cooper for cb, don't need a replacement keeper with Robbie mcg coming imo. Someone for the right as I think hagi is better through the middle. Ross mccrorie should be used as a right bk aswell push tav.

25 May 2020 11:26:40
I can't/ won't disagree with you regarding the ability of scott allan, Rab. rfc. drum! He most definitely has the killer ball in his locker, to unlock the most tight/ stubborn of defences. But he had his chance mate and i don't want him now! However we do need a midfielder like him.

25 May 2020 11:48:03
Haji is our lock picker, if we sign him.

25 May 2020 12:37:23
The Scott Allan one is interesting guys. A player who I feel has wasted his talent and in the modern game is probably a luxury as he doesn’t do the defending side of the game to well? Not for me if we want to win the Title✌️.

25 May 2020 12:40:59
Cosgrove, Ferguson, Allan, dykes, Naismith these mediocre/ average player will not take our club forward to challenge for trophies.

25 May 2020 12:51:24
Allen is a dirty wee bassa and gets stuck right in. Better suited to our game. Hagi doesn’t have that. Allen would be very divisive amongst our fans. Not sure where I sit with him to be honest!

25 May 2020 13:10:23
Woultnt touch allan.

25 May 2020 14:04:58
He isn't a bad player to be fair, but where is the evidence that Hibs play regularly against a 'low block'?

25 May 2020 14:13:33
Big no to Allan. If he was a real Gers man he wouldn't have done what he did.

25 May 2020 15:22:42
Tbh Don't care about his the past, we gave kenny a pass. Mojo a pass. If he can help will the league and I believe him and haji in the same midfield would be something else we would soon let go of a mistake he made as a boy. Wouldn't cost much and with Jack behind those two I think we could stop ten in a row. Keeping Alfredo is paramount to any hopes also.

25 May 2020 10:05:52
Tbh Andy H was a decent reserves player at best, if we I wish him all the best in the future.

25 May 2020 12:24:27
No he wasn’t . Andy was a great servant and never ket Stevie g the team or fans down when called upon . In Europe or domestic . Well done Andy 👍
and you my friend would be better placed showing a bit of respect fir this site and the posters . but I suppose if this is your mentality and the Ed permits .
whatever floats your boat . Just a wee bit weird that you are obsessed. 😂.

25 May 2020 14:14:27
Andy certainly wasn't anywhere near the worst. Like to see him do well.

25 May 2020 09:24:50
Joe hart.

25 May 2020 11:10:03
Ryanger there is a reason why Joe Hart gets moved on all the time. His temperament is suspect. He makes stupid mistakes. I wouldn't go near him.

25 May 2020 11:14:40
Ryanger this is a name I have thought about. Not sure we would meet salary he would want.

25 May 2020 11:20:21
Hes rotten.

25 May 2020 14:38:55
Tilladie.
75 England caps
EPL winners medals
Fa cup
League cup
Four premier league golden gloves.
Not quite rotten.

25 May 2020 08:56:52
At risk of people not understanding what's gone wrong since SG took over, let me point it out and give you my take on what type of player we need.

We are good at playing against teams who fancy their chances and on nice surfaces. Therefore, at the start of a season on a great pitch Lowly teams like Aberdeen and st Mirren have a go. They've had good pre seasons and their managers have fallen into the trap of actually believing their teams are decent at football. As a result, we tend to pump them.

Four months in to the season and these teams start looking over their shoulder and worrying that they might finish in a worse position than is expected of them by their chairman and fans. At this point they revert to type and shut up shop against us. Herein lies the problem.

We cannot play against that style of football. Add in the wind rain and pitches and we find ourselves playing a different sport. Well unfortunately, SG, MB AND GM haven't figured this out or just don't feel they have the players to adjust. I fear the former and hope and pray it's the latter.

Maybe, just maybe a change in formation and recruitment strategy could solve this?

Would it be so outrageous to go 4-4-2 with dykes/ brophy/ Morelos/ kamberi/ cosgrove for example as the 2? Would it be incomprehensible to alter the Middle 4 and have harder, more physical players taking up 3 of the 4 Positions? Maybe Lewis Ferguson would be More useful than Davis for example in games where we need to alter it? Play it long to a physical top two and see how much chaos they can cause? It's not like it's a mental theory. Physical strikers have caused our defence chaos since the day Walter finally left.

I get it that Hagi and the likes are exciting, but a manager who knows how to win creates a wall of steel with One, maybe two gems. Arsene Wenger, the greatest manager in my beloved Arsenal's history never ever grasped this and as such became a figure of ridicule and created a culture whereby winning beautiful was more important than winning silverware.

SG must now realise that substance must always come first and if and when that's in place, add the style.

25 May 2020 09:24:52
like it gooner

i’ve been an advocate of 2 up top for long enough don’t worry about what teams can do to us let them worry what we’re going to do to them

big cntr fwd like kamberi or dykes up with morelos / defoe / hagi / kent in around them - go for the throat

i’d also have ferguson type in midfield we’re too lightweight kamara and aribo play nice stuff at times but we need someone to put their foot in and bully teams and that lad ferguson cld do that for us

we also need better defenders - sorry lads watching walters team on BT last night with weir cuellar papac etc screened by players like thomson hemdani and wee barry we rarely conceded and you build you’re team from there we concede far too many

PS I went to highbury once the whole clock end we’re singing about some 16yr old i'd never even heard of .

who needs bergkamp we’ve got fabregas!

25 May 2020 09:47:01
Trev No7, The great Bayer Munich used to play like that, they were not the best defending wise (but still damn good) but they always scored more than the opposition winning games 4-3 was not uncommon. They just had great attacking flair and knew they would score goals. Now, look at Rangers, lucky if they break through once during 90 mins, and on that basis the opposition only need a single goal to get a draw. You have to carry a real goal threat at all times otherwise its easy to lose to a sucker punch, bad luck, defensive error, own goal. With Rangers huffing and puffing for 90 mins praying Alf will grab one its just not good enough.

25 May 2020 09:54:54
Glasgowrangersgooner, a wee question here pal. Is it true or a myth now that most arsenal supporters in general, favour celtic over rangers mate? The reason i'm asking is because my late dad, who i miss so very dearly followed rangers everywhere like me. His favourite english team was the arsenal and he always told me about the friendship of the 2 clubs and both sets of supporters and friendlies between them year about, ie. one year ibrox and the next year highbury. My dad went down to highbury for the friendly games between the two. I never followed in my dad's footsteps in the supporting of the arsenal, as my favourite english club was always newcastle utd, although i honestly don't mind the arsenal!

25 May 2020 10:20:22
SGL

There are close connections to both old firm clubs but I’d say more rangers than them. My best friend is on the board at Arsenal and he is a massive blue nose. Bob wilson is another big blue and he’s still involved at the club on matchday etc. Quick shout out to bobs charity also if that’s ok? It’s called the willow foundation and Their work is simply magnificent.

25 May 2020 10:50:51
This post is 100% bang on and it’s something Walter was a master of. He’d Often play 4-5-1 in Old firms or Europe Pack the midfield and counter teams. But when teams sit in he’d almost revert to 4-2-4. 2 out and out centre forwards and 2 wingers. There were games towards the end of his last few seasons and we would have Lafferty, Boyd, Miller, Novo right across the top of the pitch. After that Jelavic and Naismith also came into it.

Gerrard needs to adopt this mentality ASAP for me. Playing 3 central midfielders is not needed when teams park the bus.

25 May 2020 10:51:15
The problem is mutli faceted. On the face of it may look simple
but when you look at the stats and observe the replay of silly goals we have lost its a bit of a catch 22 problem. The more we attack the more we get beat.

1. Most goals lost were in the first half or just after half time home and away and often the opponent scored first.

2. We have most of the possession home and away.

3. We are always on the attack or building an attack.

So why is it hard for us to score yet the diddies find a way past our mutli million pound defense.

4. Opponents play 11 behind the ball sometimes 18 players in the box and you will recall most games trying to get through that whether it be from shooting or playing through is very difficult you often see 2,3 or 4 opponent throwing themselves in front of the ball. Now turn that round when they are attacking us we would never have 11 behind the ball lucky if we have 4 or 5 in the box so maybe they might have 4 or 5 attacking so plenty of one on ones or at times they might have a man over which is why we get caught out. Our attacking mids, wingers etc would not be in a defensive position. Just watch a diddy game, pause when they score and look at the shape of our team, I've done it a few times and its not great.

5. The theory works in reverse for us when in Europe we are the team on the defense with 11 behind the ball at times a well drilled team are hard to beat so we can soak up the pressure and properly hit a team on the break. Braga V Rangers a perfect example.

Im no football coach but looking at that we need to re balance in terms of shape and mentality from front to back. First principles - don't concede our center halfs are still not dominant enough. Our midfield should protect our defense better. Just need to dial back our attacking instinct by 1 or 2 on the scale. We are not Brazil and sometimes we won't outscore the opponent. If we get better at our defense duties as a unit/ team the rest will take care of itself.

How do we do that - hope that Helnder is the real deal when fit. Get 2 very high quality mids that are made from iron and can run all day long. Aribo/ Davis/ Jack/ Arf in terms of defensive ability is not the right balance, we need for example, Jack/ Jack/ Jack/ Jack or better.

My dad told me when the yearly friendlies between the rangers and the arsenal were played, that both club and both sets of supporters were close. I just thought myself that this had changed a bit since charlie nicholas signed for arsenal in the very early 80's mate. Am i correct in saying most of the royals support arsenal, except for prince william, as he's an aston villa fan?

25 May 2020 11:58:28
Did Rangers not have shares in Arsenal ?

25 May 2020 11:58:48
If you go thru history, Rangers/ Arsenal been close right back to Davie Meiklejohn. Think simply down to fixture build up they still don't play. Know lot gooners down here Gers daft and few ST holders at Ibrox. One trying to have non-exec job on gers board. got to say, Palace closest but still like gooners.

25 May 2020 12:46:34
Stuck. Yes Rangers did have shares in Arsenal. Arsenal were going out off the game and Rangers gave them money to stay a float. But when that Craig 💩came along. He cashed the shares in. As they say the rest is history. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

25 May 2020 13:39:38
Yip The stuck, our manager bill struth was very friendly with the arsenal manager herbert chapman, way back in the day. Arsenal had got into financial difficulty and rangers helped them out by playing against them in a benefit game, with all proceeds going to the arsenal. As a thank you when arsenal got back on their feet in years later on, they gave rangers arsenal woolwich shares in arsenal as a thank you present.
We had those shares in arsenal up until that b*****d craig whyte sold them to a rich arsenal fan for 250k.
The arsenal shares were one of our most treasured possessions and actually had our greatest ranger ever, john greig in tears, when that leech sold them! that's what our shares in arsenal woolwich meant to our club!

25 May 2020 14:08:09
Rangers bought two shares in Arsenal in 1910 to help keep them alive then were later gifted another 14. There was a great connection between the two clubs and one of my first memories of Ibrox was against the Gunners in the early 60s when we won 4-2. At the end of the 60s the games began to drift and between 69 and 81 only one match was played. Some celtic fans jumped on the Brady/ Nicholas bandwagon but our connection was always far stronger, but Whyte sold our precious shares for his own gain.

25 May 2020 14:20:36
Cunny in oz, i'm quite sure someone at ibrox bought they shares back, the shares and a bicycle. i'm sure, maybe somebody could confirm this, or of course put me right, in regards this, mate.

25 May 2020 14:21:02
Holy fxxk. I didn't realise White sold those shares, that's the first I've heard of that. Where did the cash go then? Whites pocket?

25 May 2020 14:36:41
Paulellen. I Can’t confirm either way mate sorry. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

25 May 2020 15:23:52
Yes The Stuck, i'm led to believe that f****r craig whyte sold them to a rich arsenal fan and pocketed the 250k! I grew up knowing through my late dad that rangers and arsenal had great connections! Like i stated earlier, my dad although only ever supported rangers and his country scotland, he counted arsenal as his favourite english team! Paulellen nobody ever did buy the arsenal shares back mate! They remain with the arsenal fan who bought them from that useless piece of 🐤💩.

25 May 2020 15:26:59
According to comments made back in February 2012, Whyte sold the Arsenal Shares for £230,000 to Alisher Usmanov's Red and White Holdings. It was suggested at the time that the proceeds of the sale did not go into Rangers Bank Account.

25 May 2020 19:37:47
the bike that's been mentioned was i think presented to us by the french side st etienne for a friendly or something like that, don't think that manky scumbag whyte the sh.

26 May 2020 08:43:09

'll go back to a previous post I put up - our scouts need replacing?

And majority are correct we won't win a league with some of the names mentioned
Shankland 🤔 he doesn't set the world on fire does he?

Dykes doesn't either

We need young talented prospects with a bit of grit

Eric Garcia - could be a loan option struggling for game time at city
Reis nelson from Arsenal - loan option
Oliver skipp from Tottenham - loan option
What about Brewster from Liverpool - loan option

These are all young class players - ok they prob wouldn't be able to buy - but a loan option give them them experience playing in Europe and hopefully a chance to win silverware at a young age?

There is plenty of young talent in the world but our scouts lack the imagination or the credentials to spot them and that's where a lot of my main worry lies
We spend a lot for a team in the Scottish premier - we have apparently great trading facilities at Murray park so where is all the young talent coming through

As some of the players Gerrard has bought let's be honest have been god awfull
Ojo, barker, Flanagan, ejaria, grezda, Sadiq, lafferty

You get the drift I'm sure

There is 7 players we paid wages and money on some loans I know

But who on Earth is scouting these guys and saying yeah we can win a league with these guys 🤔🤔🤔

Please we need to face reality there has been lot spent of rubbish and that is one of the main things at Ibrox that needs addressed is it not?

25 May 2020 09:49:40
Am a bit perplexed thestigno1, those players you mentioned to come on loan? they're talented lads no doubt but if not sure they've got more 'grit'
I thought you wanted to win the league next season? I don't think we'll do that with other clubs young players.
We need experienced players right through the team.
On those other players we signed? Yeah I am not sure what the plan was signing those boys. I'd have much preferred to see our own young players in the squad, rather than being sent off on loan.

25 May 2020 11:22:48
Mrgrumpy I was putting up young talented players probably stars of the future
For there big clubs

And showing there is young talented players out there
Yet our scouts are not catching on to good young talent

And I was pointing out the rubbish most of the players we have brought in

Where does the blame lay on those crap players we more often than not keep bringing in?

Why are we signing them on what purpose?

Why aren’t our scouts doing a better job that’s what I want to know?

And like i say should we be looking to replace the scouting team? Or the system they use to identify a player worthy of a Rangers top?

25 May 2020 14:02:27
No more young loanees doesn’t work the mental pressure too much if you’re not playing regularly and I’m not sure if you can’t get a game at your parent club are they really going to help us.

25 May 2020 18:10:09
Tend to agree blue blue sea.

25 May 2020 02:54:05
When are we going to move on from Walter, Bomber and Laudrup? Let's look to the future. If we can get to Christmas then I feel we can get stronger. Tough times ahead tho. I know as a new poster I will get pelters for this, but I don't bury my head in the sand. We are in a bad way!

25 May 2020 09:56:24
Davie 73,who do you want then as rangers manager mate? 🤔.

25 May 2020 11:07:16
Before SG took the Rangers job he watched us getting humped 5-0Of Celtic drawing 5-5 with Hibs. that's the mess he inherited it was always going to take time to sort it out. Yea he’s made bad signings but so have better more experienced managers even Walter signed a few. Its only my opinion but I think it’s going to come good with SG just let’s get behind him and the team.
