The Championship is going to be a real challenge next year. The team is going to need all the support we can give them.

Time to get behind them and buy our season tickets. I have been putting it off for weeks but holding back our money is only hurting the club.

Time for solidarity.

Settle down Chez, there a couple of issues that need to be resolved before the next big love in. first there was Murray then whyte then there was green, after supporting the football club for almost 50 years I no longer know if we own the stadium we play in, call me picky but is there any chance we get some closure on this first.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Chez. Perhaps fans should now start buying season tickets and force King's hand and make him put up or shut up. I agree we'll need a good, strong team for the Championship next season. I really believe this will be a tougher league than the SPL and will have higher average attendances. Build the team around players like Bell, Wallace, McLeod, Mackay, McAusland and a couple of more senior players and yes, replace Ally!

Agree0 Disagree0

@2. How will buying season tickets force King's hand?

Agree0 Disagree0

Doiger, We have done the buying season ticket bit and supported the team well over the last two seasons smashed every crowd record along the way.
Where exactly has it got us?
We are no closer to the truth about who owns what and for how long, so let us all buy more season tickets and be shocked and surprised when the truth finally gets squeezed out of current board. I just happen to think we have to make a stand The emotional blackmail must be resisted or else we will still be asking the same questions next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

@Doiger are you havin a laff? The championship in England is the most competitive and toughest league to get out of in Europe. So by your reckoning its a better league than the Premiership? I shudnt mock really its difficult to assess football at a higher standard when your in the lower leagues.

Agree0 Disagree0

It has got us into the championship but the real danger is we don't get out of it in one go then it becomes squeaky bum time next year at renewal time I urrge every one to back a macoist must go campaign

Agree0 Disagree0

King will neither put up or shut up he wants to push club into administration and pick it up 30 pieces of silver with no consideration for genuine bears who own shares this is not a way to run a railway or anything like it

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone know if Mcleods making a full recovery? I see him as a vital part of the Rangers Recovery. I rate him higher than his young predecessors Ness & McCabe & they both came through in the SPL. I was really hoping for a big season from him. He's the type of player who could shine in the championship at his young age. Him & Law in the middle should be putting the fear in other teams with there attacking & passing qualities.

He has targetted a preseason return.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP - well said.

I do not back the board and I do not back McCoist and until he shows me the monies I do not back King, however

I Do Back Rangers Football Club past, present and future.

My money is in.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2. Fair play to you but by stumping up ST money you are supporting the present regime and the way they operate. If you wanted to support the team and not the 'regime', you should pay as you go.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bluebell where is your money in confuchias say me no understand

Thats Hibs now in the Championship, going to be an interesting league next season, let's hope we have enough to continue, only two teams can go up, reckon their could be a good TV deal for next year when you consider all teams will be fairly evenly matched.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well done Accies, played really good football refused to resort to the long ball, nice to see clubs with limited resources trying to play the game the right way. JYF were you watching.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even with full st money, we will most likely hit admin, then what relegation?

we owe £1.5m in loans, its costs 0.5m to be on Aim each year, we could looose £600,000 to ahmed plus costs.

this before any games. and ally will dump us out of some cups, and still needs to buy more players.

were all doomed

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 You want us to play like Hamilton Accies? The champions league final was on Saturday night, I'd prefer we played like Madrid (either) so that might have been a better example for you to use. We are now in the championship, the same league that Hamilton were in, so teams will be more open and the need to play the long ball will not be as great. I don't care how we go up next season just as long as we do. I can't believe you used the Scottish play offs, with the worst hibs team I've seen and Hamilton as an example of how to play football nice one.

Agree0 Disagree0

JYF, our resources are closer to Hamiltons than Madrids so keep it real.

It should be about how we want to play football not what style your opponents play, don't blame others for our style of football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Deary me, Hamilton attempted to play passing football, that is how I want my team to play. You say there won't be a need to play long ball in the championship why was there ever any need, are you telling me with the full time training combined with the better quality footballer we have we could not have won promotion in the last two years. I do care how we go up next year and so do thousands of other fans, we all want to go up but we want to be entertained and have something on the park to get excited about in the process. Your vision is scary.

Rangers, Hibs and Hearts in the Championship. Come on fans, buy those season tickets! Next season's going to be memorable.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hearts and hibs an u say buy season books no until macoist goes

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as mccoist & the present are there it's pay as I go next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers, Hibs, Hearts. only 2 can go up

someone will be bitterly dissapointed next year. and we may face 25pts deduction

thats to mr green, was this always the plan?

Agree0 Disagree0

@3. And Falkirk and Raith Rovers. We live in interesting times

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2014 21:01:01
@4 well spoken. People back to delusion mode as soon as the raith rovers result was off the clyde superscoreboard discussion agenda. We're heading in to the championship with recent track record proving we can't expect to beat the best at this level on a regular basis. Mccoist will want half a team of shiny new more expensive players to fix things. He won't get them. I can smell his brown tracky bottoms from here. They reek almost as much as his lies and his insulting attitude towards the fans intelligence.

Who should be in & around the 1st team this season give you all a few multiple choices here.

1. Gallacher or resign Simonsen for a year?
2 Foster or McAusland?
3. Mohsni or Gasparotto?
4. Faure or Halckett?
5. Ian Black or Lewis McLeod?
6. Dean Shiels or Charlie Telfer or Robbie Crawford?
7. C Gallagher or Barry McKay or Fraiser Aird?
8. Clark or Daly?
I didn't put Jig or Law in because most people would pick them & I know theyl be in the 1st team.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

OP, What difference does it make, you want them to lose.

Agree0 Disagree0

Larky, for me

1 Gallagher
2 both but foster needs to improve
3 again moshni needs to up his game, let's see what gasparotto has got
4 Hackett let's see what he's got, faure will never be a fitba player
5 both, black must improve
6 Sheils telfer let's man see what he's got
7 all three, aird improving end of last season, McKay has got it, Gallagher let's see if he can step up
8 both, give Clark a decent run daly must do better, stopped playing after half a season last time

Add bell Wallace smith temps and that squad would win the championship (if properly managed)

Jg

Agree0 Disagree0

Jyf gis peace & read my other posts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Find it staggering that Simonsen is still at the club and playing in the Hong Kong tournament. What he has to offer that Gallagher can't?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gallacher
McAusland
Both
Halkett (strong but has no pace)
Both
Shiels and Telfer
All three
Both

Keep Bell, McCulloch (1 more year), Law, Templeton, Ramsay, Smith (Left Back/Right Back only), Murdoch, Stoney,

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Larky I think it has to be choices for the coming season but we are stuck with McCoist, so it will be same again, with very little chance for youth. In my book there would be no room for Simonsen, Faure, Foster, Smith [unless Wallace is sold. ] and Black. I would also listen to offers for Moshni, Shiels, Templeton and Daly. As I say, while we have the current management team we are going nowhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree on Both for the ones you are saying I'm interested to see who yous would have in your 1st team between Mohsni & Gasparotto, Daly & Clark of you had one upfront?

My team for next season would be
Bell
Mcausland Jig Gaspa Wallace
Black (for now) Law
Aird McLeod Temps
Clark
4-2-3-1
Gallacher, Mohsni, Smith, McKay, Crawford, Telfer Daly as back up. Black needs replaced we need a boss in the midfield but he's not the answer. It's yet to be seen if Clark can play up on his own so I'd rotate him with Daly & try a few different players playing off them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Billyb

Agree0 Disagree0

@7thats exactly the same as what I would go for sadly under ally it will never happen.

If King decides to wait and let Rangers go into administration again, what would happen? Would we start in the Championship with a 25-point deficit? Secondly, in the event of this happening, presumably King could come in and do a pre-pack administration deal and buy the 'company' minus its debts? That way, outgoing directors and shareholders would get nothing. Could we stomach that and face an extra year trying to get out of the Championship?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would the current shareholders/board agree to a 'pre-pack' from a third party that left them with nothing? If there is to be a pre-pack it will be done by the current shareholders/board, not by Dave King. If DK buys TRFC in an administration the purchase will have to clear the £16m debt to RIFC, or at least a very large part of it. He would also presumably have to pay for Ibrox or enter into a lease agreement unless he had somewhere else to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

DOIGER with Ally as manager and the same old team with a couple of signings no one wants but McCoist, we could face an extra season trying to get out the Championship anyway. I have little confidence I know it sounds so bad but I want us to have a bad start to get rid of him he needs to realise he's way over his head. His Tactics, transfer policy & untouchable attitude in the media boils my blood. i'm starting to think he does as much damage as the board for the future of this club with his Philosophy. Yes he's won 2 straight titles but he's had to spend a huge amount of money too get there. This season is his biggest challenge I want more than anyone for it too all become good & Ally to turn into a proper manager but I just can't see it for aslong as he's there he will always need big signings too get him anywhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 Disgraceful!

Agree0 Disagree0

Larky, you are 100% correct, but could we survive another admin/liquidation, I really have my doubts. The £16m. inter company loan would be the key to any possible future for Rangers.
I will never be one of the 'rebels', but the company that runs our club are becoming more and more remote to the team I have supported for 60+ years.
We are just a means to an end for these mercenaries.
It could be fixed, but it would be costly and on that I agree with King, that the crooks deserve nothing but grief. The genuine investors and shareholders deserve better, but the difficulty is distinguishing the decent from the con artists.

Agree0 Disagree0

Call it what you want Ally's one of my Heroes but he & these boards are taking us back to the Sort of Club that got us in all the mess in the 1st place. If he atleast stood up to Whyte or Green before it was too late we may be in a better place who knows but he just kept taking cash, lying too fans and licking @rse for signings. There wages are ridiculous there performances are ridiculous, they're all clueless In how to take Rangers forward & I'm tired of it. It's the Club and those involved in it nowadays who are disgraceful. Even on the park Ian Black give me a break when Jig goes wouldn't surprise me is Ally has him pencilled in for Club Captain. Believe me I never want to see Rangers lose but I'd do anything for a change right now. Bad board or not a better manager & coaching staff can still make a better future for Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say anything about admin or liquidation again either it's not my speciality & I really don't know what the boards plans are. I know I don't trust them & I know I no longer Trust Ally McCoist to take Rangers forward & I don't care who agrees or disagrees. If you think it's a disgrace so be it Jyf at the end of the day no ones going to tell me they love the club more than I do, because everyone on here who supports Rangers knows what it means to support Rangers. They play with your Heart Strings on a daily basis & for aslong as I've posted on this site I've wore my heart on my sleeve any of the older posters will tell you that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Since we are playinging whataboutery what if rangers won the championship, kris Boyd top goal scorer, contested a cup final ( not ramsdens) and super ally was still manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Jyf you must be ally's agent

Agree0 Disagree0

@3, not sure which part of Larkybear's post is "disgraceful". Pretty much spot on as far as I am concerned. What is a disgrace is that ally did not hand in his resignation after our lucky draw with Albion Rovers. Only one team deserved to progress in the cup after that game and any manager in his position with any dignity would have done the decent thing and walked after that game.
Nobody can have a go at anyone for having a go at anything but when it is quite obvious you are not up to the task in hand, do the decent thing and put your hand up and walk away.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doiger the only significant debt the football club has is to the parent company ie the £16m loan that shows ont the accts and as far as I can makeout they are paying all running costs as they are due etc so as far as it goes the parent company would be the biggest creditor so r f c would be no better of the spive would still have the upperhand as far as larky bear goes thereis no way in this world we want to loose games the championship will be so competitive a bad atart will mean no promotion which will be afurther drain on capital that's why macoist must go now I have still hold up some hope that he may yet be be removed by the board during june and a manager in place
