Re: I don't have any inside info on the takeover, no-one does outside the small group of people trying to complete the deal. I, personally, don't think any announcement regarding the takeover, being completed or otherwise, should be made until after the season has finished. As a Rangers fan I want the takeover to be completed as quickly as possible but any announcement regarding the takeover will affect the players. No-one knows what type of effect that will be. If an announcement is made that the takeover is completed it could have an adverse effect on the players. They might start to think that there will be a clear-out in the summer or that there starting place might not be guaranteed. It could be as simple as they don't think the league is as essential as it was in previous seasons due our debt being wiped out. These type of scenarios could go either way, they could push Rangers on to the title or they could hold Rangers back and give the title to Celtic.

If the takeover is completed it could also galvanize Celtic because it will give them extra incentive to win the league. Rangers debt would be clear and will be able to buy some new players and if they win the league then they have a chance of qualification to the champions league. That would mean another year for Celtic without CL income and with their debt increasing it might mean that they have to sell some key players to compete with Rangers in the transfer market. Therefore, if an announcement is made it could push Celtic towards the title in fear of handing Rangers a significant advantage in future seasons.

I want the takeover completed, I just think that any announcement right now, be that it is completed or fallen through, could damage Rangers title challenge. We have waited this long, I think we can wait another 11 games.

I Don't totally agree. If the takeover was not to go through I would like this to be kept until end of season as they could be disheartening but I believe if it was to be approved then I believe this would have a totally positive effect.

I believe this would spur everyone on to impress the new regime and also give our battleweary small squad sight of a goal where they can strive to and get re-enforcements instead of an apparently endless struggle.

However as I have previously stated I would hope that an end to our current issues is out there either way. I would be just as keen to see us battle on without the takeover if the banks loosened the reins slightly. Leaving us to reduce the debt consistently whilst functioning SUCCESSFULLY!
