What’s to the rangers website? Showing old articles as the latest articles and showing upcoming fixtures as ones from last season IE Sheffield and Motherwell Etc. Basically went back to how the website looked this time last year. Take it this is admin error?

25 Jun 2018 21:13:44
Don’t see. That mat. looks ok to me

25 Jun 2018 23:26:12
Just looked on the Rangers website, they still have the "old first team" with players that have left, Bates, Holt, Dalcio Krankjar etc, and also Pedro as manager, they need to get that changed ASAP,

26 Jun 2018 02:22:46
It’s back to normal now strange tbh maybe admin had to revert to the old website to add new things in and I just went on at the time he was doing it lol, shame we can’t add photos into here or I’d show you the screenshot of how the website was coming up for me

26 Jun 2018 17:00:30

Docherty is a starter for me has inteligence and will run all day for you. Still young will great promise

25 Jun 2018 19:15:03
I agree camy25.For the last 18 months or so, i said on here that i wanted us to sign greg docherty from hamilton accies! As well as being a good midfielder, who will only get better and better, doch is also a fitness instructor. He's as fit as a butcher's dog! He's exactly the type of midfielder, who gerrard will love and also doch will excel and love working with steven gerrard! I truly think docherty will be superb for us this season! He reminds me, like i've said before, of our ex captain, steven davis.

25 Jun 2018 19:15:34
I would have Docherty in my team next to Arfield with McCrorie sitting as the team stands just now. I'm not sure what Ejaria is like so he could be starter. I also think we will sign another CM so he could be a starter. Its a nice problem to have. At least with the quantity we have the quality this time.

25 Jun 2018 20:19:11
If Rossiter is fit he will be our main man in the middle. Hopefully his injuries are behind him and he shows what a smashing all round player he is.

25 Jun 2018 21:20:01
if everyone’s fit rossiter starts for me

he’s a better footballer than jack mcrorie or docherty in the holding role - in not saying those others cldnt play as well

i’m not sure where airfields best position is but i’d imagine him and rossiter will both start if fit

25 Jun 2018 21:54:54
Forgot all about rossiter, great shout scotty123.

25 Jun 2018 22:22:41
Don’t agree, I’d have Jack and Rossiter sitting.

26 Jun 2018 00:22:06
Great to see rangers lads get on and be positive. I'm not one to speak about the opposition but, the gaffer has seen how he works, he doesn't know how we work, .

26 Jun 2018 08:03:51
Surely only 1 sitting midfielder this year?

26 Jun 2018 08:40:33
TGR

2 sitting midfielders in the SPFL? Why would you play 2 sitting midfielders against teams with far less resources than us?

26 Jun 2018 11:52:52
Selection headache for stevie g good times

25 Jun 2018 18:30:41
Since when do we care what Halliday thinks, thanks for the insight mate jist concentrate on a new club please!

25 Jun 2018 19:03:59
What has halliday said?

25 Jun 2018 20:26:09
Apparently he thinks SG is a good move for the club and that the team need to progress to another level to stop the filthy winning again - great original insight, bit of brown nosing methinks

25 Jun 2018 21:58:37
Halliday will be moved on, arfield docherty ejaria rossiter jack all ahead of him. Plus I'm sure we will add another cm.

26 Jun 2018 08:41:55
He shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team squad a truly awful player

25 Jun 2018 17:36:31
Loving how Gerrard is going about his business the man is a born winner! I truly believe he is the man to put an end to this "Tainted " 10 in a row quest. #goingfor55. #wewelcomethechase. #letsgo.

25 Jun 2018 21:56:50
I’m intrigued, why are the titles tainted, is it all of them, or just some of them?

26 Jun 2018 08:03:02
They're not tainted. The only people that tainted anything was the charlatans that tainted our great history and almost destroyed our club completely. Whyte, Green etc. Anyway this is as good as it gets for celtic, we'll be back on top soon enough lol

26 Jun 2018 08:55:34
Sorry Pappy, they are tainted titles! 🇬🇧

26 Jun 2018 20:57:23
Sorry they're not tainted. Man up.

25 Jun 2018 16:08:27
Finally! A manager who knows what rangers are all about! Gerrard in training shouting at the players, telling them to get it into their heads that they press, chase and win the ball all over the pitch, and pushing them all the way fitness wise, if all goes well and these players react this could be a glorious season, I've got butterflies lol

25 Jun 2018 16:34:43
steve g is a born winner won't suffer any fools, will start weeding out the players that don't give 100% and play the high press fu£$ could we have done with that last season

25 Jun 2018 17:14:36
Spot on guys, Steven Gerrard doesn't recognise the word failure,
Just another observation, a couple of weeks ago we had all these Celtic supporters coming on here slagging off the club, saying we couldn't attract players, Gerrard has been duped, he is going to fail etc. but they have all gone quiet now, has reality finally set in with them?
Squeaky bum time I think

25 Jun 2018 17:33:42
The dhims are on this site everyday, there is no cure for their obsession. Its long overdue that the dross is weeded out and yip Stevie G will do just that.

25 Jun 2018 19:56:51
Hahaha. you see coldo, 3 of the sad dhims have disagreed with both you and me, I think they need some kind of therapy,
just watch they will be scrambling to hit the disagree button again

25 Jun 2018 21:02:04
Stevie G exact words on that idea bears
Checkout out on line awesome . Brill at last a bit of real discipline

No phoneys who are pretending…just little crazy jogs in, watching the ball.

“We go to win the ball – all over the pitch. Okay?

“Get it in your heads, now. ”

25 Jun 2018 22:02:09
Saw that mols, long overdue. Jetmayfair they are too predictable. Ask a dhim this mate, who do you love more your mrs or rangers? That dhim will be sleeping on another dhim's couch in no time. 😂

25 Jun 2018 15:15:41
What formation do u all think we will go with this season

25 Jun 2018 15:51:40
3-5-2, I know nothing or less about formations but read S. G. prefers this system. Posted this earlier and it does seem to suit are team except atm. we only have 1 striker. First choices first.

McGregor/ Alnwick
Goldson/ Cardoso Mcrorie/ Alves Katic
Tav/ Flan Candeias/ Murphy Rossiter/ Jack Arfield/ Windass John/ Wallace
Morelos New guy lol

Middleton Kelly Ejaria All pushing for mid field
I know most of you will disagree with my picks that's as it should be

25 Jun 2018 15:57:29
3-5-2

25 Jun 2018 16:18:05
Do u think he could play tav or flanagan as part of a back 3 like england do with kyle walker?

25 Jun 2018 16:46:24
I think he’ll go 433

McGregor
Tavanieer. Goldson. Katic. John

Ejaria. Rossiter

Arfield

Sadiq. Solanke. Woodburn

Would be delighted is this was our team next season wishful thinking with the front three though lol

25 Jun 2018 19:29:42
Morelos . jack mcorrie doc all deserve a shout . Candeias wasn’t players player of the year for nowt

25 Jun 2018 19:34:32
The way I'm expecting us to play is a sort of 3 5 2 but it changes to 2 5 3 or 5 3 2 depending on who we're playing, where the ball is and who has it and so on so forth.

In basic terms we'll have 3 CB's but one will be a ball playing defender who can also fit into an anchor man role in defensive midfield so when attacking he'll work as an extra player in the midfield but when defending will tuck in and be an extra defender (Possibly McRorie or Alves in this role) and we'll have a midfielder who will have little to no defensive duties in our own half but will press in the opposition half when we don't have the ball and work as a 3rd forward when we do.

Just my opinion of course but that's what I'm expecting looking at the players we're bringing in, the way Klopp has played at times and the way Gerrard has been talking about a hard working pressing system.

26 Jun 2018 08:24:38
Been saying we should go 3-5-2 / 5-3-2 / 3-4-3 for ages. Showed a glimpse of it in the last game against Hibs last season and we definitely have the players for it, need another striker though. Flanagan can play full back in a 4 or either side of a back 3. McRorie made for the role F-U described. Would love to see it!

26 Jun 2018 11:51:57
Ejaria, Rossitter and Arfield Vs Brown, Ncham and Rogic.

Celtic will roll that midfield over with a canter. I hope I'm wrong but can't see it.

We need a strong midfield general and a creative medfielder to be able to compete.

25 Jun 2018 10:19:20
'Cardiff to test rangers resolve with £1.5m opening bid'

Honestly, I think this is laughable and wouldn't even acknowledge a bid like that. I know he's a player that divides opinion however for me he's key for us. Provided goals and assists pretty much all of which coming in the second half of last season.
Id be hoping for something over £4-5 million mark for windass.

What kind of offer would you take/ consider for windass?

25 Jun 2018 10:53:37
9 million - young talented Englishman. Scores goals and assists from midfield. If a premier league club are in for him the price inflates because they can afford it.

25 Jun 2018 11:51:50
Agree chris if windy was at hull etc they be bidding about £6mill or so rangers are bigger than most hull middlesboro forest etc they want him make them pay armstrong 1 yr left £7mill yes we hate them etc but personally they got a deal they it what rangers need to do instead of seeing first mill sign n shouting take him

25 Jun 2018 11:58:09
Totally agree, on his game he is one of the best players in our league. Trouble is, you're lucky to get 20 mins a game out of him. If Armstrong can go for 7 with add ons then we should be looking at least that but more like 10 with add ons.
Might sound fanciful but it's all just made up numbers in football now. If someone wants him and you say 10m and they pay it then great. If you say 27m and the pay it then even better.
The EPL teams have money to burn, so quote them some daft figure and if they pay it well and good, if not then it's no loss to us.

25 Jun 2018 12:37:54
9mil calm yourselfs, if he was at hull then he would be producing the goods on a bigger stage and yes he would be worth a lot more but this is the SPL. If get 3.5 to 4 mil he will be gone whether we like it or not, just reality👍.

25 Jun 2018 12:46:00
Guys, Cardiff are only doing to us, what we've done to other teams, go in with a low offer and see what happens.

25 Jun 2018 14:14:11
Coldo

I think your assessment is spot on I would bite there hand off for £3m. As has been proven in the last 2 years, there is good and obvious reason why he was at Accrington Stanley.

The boy has some ability but neither the mentallity or the will to win to compete against Celtic

25 Jun 2018 14:22:29
Considering he only "played" for 20mins per game his goal ratio was outstanding. He's got impact sub written all over him and that's a valuable thing to have. If he can get better then he starts or we sell for bigger bucks. 1.5 mil is laughable

25 Jun 2018 14:23:30
We have never been great at selling players. We always seem to let players run down their contracts or move on for very little. Everton spent 50 million on a young English goalkeeper. A goalie. If Cardiff want Windass a young English talent that can score goals and create for peanuts we need to tell them where to go. With the tv money they get down south. Mark Allan better be shouting down his phone show me the money!

25 Jun 2018 14:48:15
£4m is the minimum that should be accepted for windass, we are a selling club and have been for 20 years. Everyone has a price.

25 Jun 2018 15:29:00
A young attacking midfielder with 18 goals or something and that's not him at his full potential yet. A few years left on his contract I'd be looking for 5+ million for him. for too long we've not capitalised on getting the full worth of a player, time that changed.

25 Jun 2018 16:03:56
If you think we would get anywhere near £9m for Windass then your indulging in fantasy football. £3m would be the best we could hope for

25 Jun 2018 19:33:40
think there’s a 3 million buyout clause in his contract. if it’s honoured and he wants it . think Stevie is putting him thru his paces. so if he responds then positive. if not 3mill thank you

26 Jun 2018 11:41:42
No less than 6m. Tims sold Armstrong for 6m with only 11months left on his contract. Imo he's never going to get any better than the average level he's at now. Whereas Windass has much more potential so I think that's the price.
