Would also take Aaron Hughes he's still available on a free.

25 Jun 2016 23:37:01
Was thinking the same, played really well and can play across the back line.

25 Jun 2016 22:59:59
Sad to see the ulstermen go out and gutted for Big mcauley but have to say even at 36 years of age I would take him in our central defence any day over who we have big guy plays with the heart and you known what your getting gives his all every time he plays and tbh that cross would've been mat by the Wales striker and ended up in the back of the net anyway even if big GM hadn't touched the ball.

26 Jun 2016 14:32:17
Would love big McCauley at the back for us but he just signed a 1 year deal at west brom.

25 Jun 2016 21:16:11
Nacho novo in signing talks with lowland league club east kilbride, what a great piece of business and publicity for east kilbride if they can pull off signing wee novo, superb hope it happens.

26 Jun 2016 09:29:54
On the subject of novo I was reading an article in the newspaper there that for the last 3 months he's been over in spain with atletico madrid learning the coaching methods of their manager diego simeone, wee novo is sitting his pro licence coaching badges and said he thoroughly enjoyed working alongside simeone as he's exactly the same fiery character as himself, the wee man is keen in becoming a manager, I wonder how good he'd be at it because without question he's a winner and a very determined individual, I wish wee nacho all the best of luck in the next chapter of his football career!

25 Jun 2016 21:12:06
Gilks should be our number one over that sub standard keeper we have in goals just now. I watched every game last year and he is just not rangers quality. Boy seems to have a great attitude which I respect but just not enough match winning saves.

We have a history of great keepers who have won us leagues with top drawer saves and I don't think this guy has it in him.

25 Jun 2016 22:28:59
Think the No1 position is up for grabs and Warbs will have told both keepers, whoever the Manager thinks is on form will get the nod really don't think that Wes is an automatic 1st pick, I do rate Gilks and still not 100% about Wes so we'll have to wait and see Bears.

25 Jun 2016 23:23:23
Copland. Other than Goram, Woods and Klos, I'm not aware of great Rangers keepers - in the true meaning of great.

McCloy, Kennedy, Stuart, Maxwell, Niemi, Charbonier, Walker, Maxwell, Bell, Alexander, Thompson, Scott and, er, Dibble. Obviously there's been lots more pre McCloy (and my age! ) but I don't think Wes is doing so bad for someone at 24 in a team that prioritises attack over defence.

Of course, there's always Graham Roberts - a true Rangers goalkeeping legend.

25 Jun 2016 23:43:22
Copland. I forgot McGregor. But I've also checked out some pre-McCloy keepers and I take it back, we've had some crackers.

26 Jun 2016 00:08:39
Niemi was not a bad keeper and as much as I love big Wes looking back on last season the Mount of times he got beat near post frightened me slightly! Now if that's in the championship with fair to average strikers I worry slightly in the Premiership with a higher standard of striker ( not that great but slightly better ) ! Starting the season is start with Wes but it's up to the magic hat to decide and if it's Gilks then I'll go with his decision!

On another note the signings we've made so far with experience and youth will make for a great season ahead and I've no doubt a few shall be surprised by the way we may end up in May!

26 Jun 2016 07:04:42
I think mcgregor Wass better than klos imo.

25 Jun 2016 20:56:25
Will we ever have a chance of signing a player like Steven davis again lol? What a fantastic player vastly underrated.

25 Jun 2016 21:09:43
Davis was N. Ireland's best player but he will be in England until he finishes his career. So long as we don't sign Lafferty, he was like a man down in that Wales game!

25 Jun 2016 21:10:59
Cee he just signed a new contract with southampton mate.

25 Jun 2016 22:30:34
Where did we sign Davis from again and how much did he cost?

25 Jun 2016 22:49:45
Andy I'm sure it was Aston villa and think it was 750k plus add ons but i'm prob wrong.

25 Jun 2016 22:51:44
Scrap that I'm wrong was Fulham and for 3 million roughly sorry must of thought it was someone else lol.

25 Jun 2016 22:55:38
From Fulham think he cost us 4mill.

25 Jun 2016 23:31:58
A great player, vastly under rated.

25 Jun 2016 19:48:33
Just watched the lad Moffats view on Nico Krancjar, let's you know what kind of player we are getting great article .

25 Jun 2016 17:49:59
I've jus heard Ronny Deila was spearheading the Brexit leave campaign. He's been very successful at leaving Europe for 3 years now.

25 Jun 2016 17:46:52
Just seen Nicky Clark has been picked up by Bury. Good luck to him, at that level down south I hope he does well. Good luck mate 👍🏼.

25 Jun 2016 18:33:32
Wasn't a big fan of him but tried his best so hopefully all goes will for the wee man 👍🏻.

25 Jun 2016 19:14:03
Nicky Clark scored some very important goals for us and
should and hope he has a good future wherever he goes
tried his hardest when he pulled that Jersey on
Good Luck Nicky.

25 Jun 2016 21:11:33
He was an excellent goalscorer at QotS and I always wanted to se him do well when he signed for us. For me he came at the wrong time and was destroyed by McCoist and McDowall. Good luck to him, always gave 100%.

25 Jun 2016 15:50:05
We now have experience in all departments it will make us hard to beat and help the young players play there game and learn. windass, crooks, rossiter, Mackay, Burt, Walsh, hardie will all benefit from having the experienced players next to them . with all eyes on Barton and nico it gives the young players a chan e to shine. I am looking forward to playing great passing football with the quality we have its going to be a great aeason, what a difference 12 months makes.

25 Jun 2016 16:13:46
Could not agree more damo666 the club story over 12 months has been
unbelievable, from the first game 6-2 against Hibs, with players I had not heard off, to the win against Celtic it was truly MAGICAL.
The signings we have made for the new season all appear to be top
class, for very little outlay, counting the days.
MON THE HAT.

25 Jun 2016 22:53:03
It's going to be interesting how Hardie, Walsh, Thompson and Murdoch get on this season. Feel the need to make the step up this season or risk being loaned out, sold or freed. Burt is still very young and would probably benefit from a season on loan.

25 Jun 2016 13:18:29
Was having a snoop about that transfermarket website looking at strikers of decent age and who are out of contract etc. and found 4 who I would like but with stats and that there is 2 I was really impressed with. 2 of them are moussa Dembele and ibrahima blade as I posted earlier as a reply to someone and the 2 I was really impressed with and would love to see us go for is ogulcan caglayan and sardar azmoun.

25 Jun 2016 13:38:36
Bankiebear if you've won the lottery and willing to give the club some of your winnings then fine, otherwise forget it.

25 Jun 2016 14:05:08
All 4 are free agents and wouldn't command a great deal of money except maybe balde.

25 Jun 2016 14:30:45
Fulham would require compo for Demble and quoted 10m to Spurs when they approached in January.

Balde was mentioned before but the chances of him get time a work permit are slim to the point of anorexia, that's from his agent. No chance of a work permit for an Iranian either.

25 Jun 2016 15:02:00
Celtic are reported to be in talks for Dembele and £500,000 was the fee written in that particular story.

25 Jun 2016 15:08:09
Dembele has been linked with arsenal spurs and psg lol.

25 Jun 2016 15:09:28
Only 2 are out of contract this year Dembele and Balde the other 2 are 2017 and 2019.

25 Jun 2016 16:45:21
Dembele would be a nominal cross boarder development fee so 500 grand sounds about right . unfortunately some of the big boys down south want him.

25 Jun 2016 13:04:20
Ok guys let's say your attending a doorway tonight and the magic hats going to be there.
Now you don't want to be a title and hassle him so u only get to ask him 1 question.
What would your question be?

25 Jun 2016 13:50:22
Autocorrect *a doo *.

25 Jun 2016 14:03:57
How do you eat yours.

25 Jun 2016 15:23:49
'Mark, What are your views on some of the ridiculous questions/ comments on Rangers Rumours?

25 Jun 2016 10:51:47
question guys.

Out of all the free agents this summer who would you like rangers to go for.?

25 Jun 2016 10:55:57
The ones the manager wants will do for me.

25 Jun 2016 11:44:07
Ronaldinho.

25 Jun 2016 12:21:46
Would be great to see the magician in a ranges top the magic hats apprentice lol is he free the goal he scored against Chelsea with his big toe was out this world.

25 Jun 2016 12:30:33
Ibrahima Balde of krasnador and Moussa Dembele of Fulham, contracts are about to expire surely both are worth a punt.?

25 Jun 2016 12:40:43
Has dembele not agreed to go to dortmund.

25 Jun 2016 13:03:36
That's oussmane dembele that's going to dortmund, moussa is with Fulham, Chelsea arsenal and spurs after him tho.

25 Jun 2016 13:09:08
Think it osumane Dembele who is going to Dortmund mate.

25 Jun 2016 14:32:32
Balde signed for AEK Athens.

25 Jun 2016 16:47:48
Ibrahimovic Oh sorry I forgot he's going to the manky ones LOL still makes me chuckle that one.

Robson Kanu
Mariappa.

25 Jun 2016 07:25:37
Reading a few comments below about Michael O'Halloran. For me he has done absolutely nothing in a rangers shirt so far. I have a mate who's a St Johnstone fan and he said before we signed him he wouldn't be overly fussed if they sold him as long as they got decent money. We spent a few hundred thousand on a guy who I don't think will make the match day squad most weeks never mind the bench.

25 Jun 2016 07:33:14
I agree when he came to ibrox I Thot we had signed a gem.
But some players just don't live up to the expectations on the fans.
There's still time for him tho great players to learn off but a lot of cash for a guy that's not got a bum off a seat so far.
These things happen I'm sure it's a 4 year deal so there's time for him yet but 1 thing is for sure he's not a STRIKER.

25 Jun 2016 07:59:31
Give the lad time. He came from a team who played defensive counter attacking football. Into a team who plays lovely passing controlling attacking football and even though he dropped a league it was still a big step up for him. Warburton will get the best from him.

25 Jun 2016 09:20:34
100% agree he has time on his side but I feel if he doesn't hit the ground running this season he will struggle to get game time especially with windass, mackay, krancjar, forrester and waggy who can all play in a similar position. I think in the games he did play he didn't stand out and his end product is shocking. This is something my St Johnstone supporting mate told me. He has pace and can run on to a through ball but so can most of the players I mentioned above.

25 Jun 2016 10:06:25
Agreed he was only signed because the fans couldn't drop the "king has no money" rubbish, signed purely to appease fans could have made the move for him now, waste of 500k considering he contributed nothing for the six months the 500k was basically for (could have signed him now for much less was pointless signing him in January couldn't feature in cup ties)

25 Jun 2016 10:14:47
Don't think he's been giving a chance yet, should genuinely see where he best fits in the team, either the wing or as the lone striker, I think he has bundles of potential and need to wait and see what chances he gets next season.

25 Jun 2016 11:10:24
MOH needs a good pre season under his belt, i honestly think he'l shine in the new season.

25 Jun 2016 11:15:34
I think Jaff is spot on, he's more suited to counter attacking football. I don't think that's a bad thing though because I think he will be our secret weapon in the bigger games. If he plays against the likes of Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts they will have to sit back and soak up our pressure because of his pace in behind, which will suit our passing game.
Last year with every team we played sitting so deep didn't help him, and I'm sure he will be used sparingly this year because of this. But he is different to the others who play that position and I think that's why we signed him, for variation.
Take the Old Firm semi final, he would have been such an asset that day with his pace. They could hardly deal with McKay on the left but Kierney wouldn't have been able to go forward at all with him on the right, which in the end led to their second goal.
I think he'll be a big player for us this year.

25 Jun 2016 11:27:18
Recob that's spot on mate. As I said originally I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he has a good pre season. I like the way our squad is taking shape and to be honest two years ago I'd have been delighted with an MOH type signing rather than kris boyd etc.

25 Jun 2016 11:31:04
A lot of the time a January transfer can come in and don't hit the ground running he's had time to have a full pre season with the team mates hopefully he will show more of what he can do! he was always gona have a bit more to prove to people than other signings!

25 Jun 2016 11:59:21
I agree recob, I think with a full pre season under his belt he could yet be a great buy, plus since he signed last January his game time was stop start with him being cup tied. he might just need time to settle and a proper run of games, time will tell.

25 Jun 2016 12:45:01
He was poor last season and was posted missing in a number of games however he still needs to be given a chance and still may be a success.

25 Jun 2016 12:54:17
Definitely Delboy, the whole cup tied thing was a major factor. Some of our best performances were against Dundee and Celtic when they came out a bit and had a go. He would have lapped that space up as well. I think his confidence took a knock after they games as well, perhaps thinking that the team was better without him.
I saw enough against us and Celtic for St Johnstone to be convinced he still has a big future. Even if he doesn't make the starting 11, no defender wants him running at them after coming on at the hour mark after Waggy or McKay has already tore them a new one for 60mins.

25 Jun 2016 07:14:34
On the other sides page and one Tim said he's still waiting for the zlatan and Allan deal going threw.
got to laff he must be a bit thick or he's getting messages from above in the chapel lol.
if they get those players threw the door I'll eat warbs magic hat and davie weirs soaks ha ha.
plus they r all arguing among there selfs I love it when they see uz getting busy and preparing a squad ready to fight for every point.
Not really bothered about this cup tournament it's a great chance to get a right look at the team the league and the Scottish cup is the most important thing this season.
Hope there's a bit of movement today any ideas or news of players ed.

25 Jun 2016 08:30:43
Who cares?

25 Jun 2016 06:03:00
We got rid of cammy bell at 29 yr old. bring in a 34 yr old who isn't any better than bell. a lot of people against bell because of his mistake against Motherwell but look the mistakes foderingham has made absolute bomb scare. We have went for cheap option rather than alverado from trabzobspor.

25 Jun 2016 07:27:41
The guy deserves a chance bell got his I'm thinking his wage was more than what gilks will be on bells been here from the ally overpaid days who nos but makes Sence if he is not going to play then move them on why throw money away they days are gawn.

25 Jun 2016 10:20:44
He might not be better than bell we won't know unless he gets a chance however I think the new boy will be on less money and probably willing to sit on a bench before getting a chance bell wasn't willing to be back up.

25 Jun 2016 11:21:40
I'd take Gilks over Bell anyday. Bell has cost us an arm and a leg over the last few years and gave us nothing but howlers in return. Gilks is a solid pro who will happily be understudy. Wes was always going to be number one next season.
I personally think people have been too hard on Wes anyway. He made a few mistakes as all goalies do but he also pulled off some cracking game saving changes, not least in the Old Firm. His distribution was getting better as the year went on and I think buying a new No1 and having to wait for him to get up to speed with playing out from the back every time would have been a mistake. To buy someone n who could do this would have been expensive.
Next year most teams will struggle to leave their half against us anyway with the midfield we have.

25 Jun 2016 12:04:49
Let's just give the guy a chance before saying he's rubbish, he's not even played yet.

25 Jun 2016 12:48:16
Felt sorry for Bell as he made far less mistakes than Foderingham but got slaughtered more. Not sure about Gilks but not keen on Foderingham very average keeper. He is a weak link in team and will be shown up in premiership.
