today I think I saw the man to take on our managers job. Rino Gattuso. He fought like he loved the club, he is already wealthy so doesn't need a big salary, so let's get him in, NOW.
Anyone agree??

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 23:45:26
My posts never get accepted but I agree mate. Problem is we don't have any money and struggling to pay wages this week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Op. Gattuso. Always plays like that he is a winner, but I think he would be better trying his arm else were for the time being, as we need a manager like walter smith in our current predicament.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great player and I am sure would kick some ass and get 100% out of the squad, but his record in management is not really what we are after. Plus I think now we really want a Scottish manager like McInnes or McColl to get us back to competative in the top league. The future might hold euor seasons and foreign coaches but not right where we are now amigo

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a tactically naive bully and not what we need, get player probably one of the best ever to play in Scotland but never a manager (just like Roy Keane), I honestly want a break from ex players becoming the rangers manager, we need people with freash ideas and people who can bring something new to the table.

Today was a reallity check and put everything into a sense of perspective.
Watching Fernando make his way into the centre circle was nothing short of heart breaking.
Our fantastic support played a blinder and the genuine emotion shown by fellow players was heart warming.
To watch a man, with all his challenges, show such warmth, in adversity, to his family and friends is humbling.
It just goes to show where there is life there is hope.
Fernando, today must have been difficult for you, but you showed that your 'bottle' is still there for the challenge ahead. All the best for the future and if anyone can fight this battle it is you.

God Bless Fernando and his Rangers family.

God Bless ALL those who turned up today IN BRIGHT SUNSHINE.

I will not now ever read or buy or interact with the newspaper who put out that advert. That newspaper and the one that ALL Liverpool fans despise now no longer exist to me.

I curse ALL those demented so called football fans of CFC who contrived to put out the advert.

The Famous Glasgow Rangers will never die and will live for ever, to infinity and beyond.

THE BLUEBELLS ARE BLUE

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No one likes us, we don't care.

To the enemies of GLASGOW RANGERS we will never die, you know who you are, we know who you are. As we have lay wounded on the ground you have had pleasure in giving us a wee kick, but the day is coming when we get up again, stronger and wiser, and if one day you might need help or support then don't come to our door for it.
Rangers fans have today shown the world just how special we are, and how we are respected all over Europe for our fanatical support, but in our country we are hated ( strong word but true).

A fabulous showing for the man. Truly emotional and didn't he do his very best. Some good entertainment too especially Big Marv cocking up lol. glad a big crowd made the effort, and it may show the devils running the club to destruction what they are missing. God Bles and I hope you win your fight Fernando.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with all above especially post 2 royal blue, we don't forget mate nor forgive, they see us coming mate, smell the fear, we will be back. and they know it.

Agree0 Disagree0

" To the enemies of Glasgow Rangers"
"As we lay wounded on the ground", "never forget or forgive", is this a 21st Century football forum or is it the script to a bad world war one movie? Makes me cringe!

All the best to Fernando tho' someone who really does have a battle on his hands.

After a day that showed the best of Rangers hopefully it can kick the club on to a recovery path that's all about the football and decent fans, not about the money and all this WATP, no surrender sh*te.

Agree0 Disagree0

Foxy it must be the bad movie, never forgive nor forget, everyone of the top league wanted us finished, with the exception of Millie, the abstained, so we owe these feckers nothing, except revenge, always remember, revenge is a dish best served cold.

Thursday d day as its pay day if not paid administration looms

Believable0 Unbelievable0

@gardener1965

There is absolutely no chance and I will repeat NO chance the wages will not be paid on Thursday, here is why.

The club can not default on paying administration staff, playing staff and other club staff or it will be in direct breach of SFA and SPFL rules which include many sanctions that are enforcable immediately, that's why there will be money on the table to ensure the wage run goes ahead, expect an announcement from the LSE either tomorrow or Tuesday confirming the acceptance of a loan, now who supplies the loan will be the critical factor, if Spivs direct then the word boycott will be ringing in this boards ears until the EGM is confirmed shortly.
If the loan is from T3B and or king then a compromise will have been reached. We can still not be 100% certain which way it will swing, but I suspect T3B and king have the upper hand as wee toxic is spouting all sorts of Mince on the LSE chat room using his proxy name "sitonfence" and is defo running scared

But we will see! Keep an eye on the LSE for the next few days as notices will be posted confirming the next move.

The boycott will start in earnest if Spivs direct gets any more control at the club

RR

Agree0 Disagree0

Please can people we STOP posting 2nd Admin comments when it CANNOT and WILL NOT happen. There are we know at least 2 offers of multi millions and what you are suggesting is that those and every other party that stands to lose multi millions were we to go into admin will not be accepted investment wise, jesus it pains me at times the lack of business knowlege people have at times and to be honest common sense.

We are not now or at any time going into a 2nd Admin, there is no 100million pound big tax case hanging over us anymore Rangers minded businessmen were only ever put of at the Admin time by the worry of the big tax case.

So please can we draw a line under this insane train of thought finally it plays right into the hands of people like ashole and the board relying on fear tactics amongst the fans and investors.

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

Iamgeorge I have allready posted there is no chance of the wages not being paid one or other of bidders for the club will pay the money

Agree0 Disagree0

@ I am George

You are 100% correct admin can not legally happen when there are several options to provide funding immediately any judge sitting on an admin case HAS to consider all options before granting administration, there is NO chance ANY judge would grant admin on behalf of this board! Regardless of how they plead.

I have it under confirmed sources that there will be notices to LSE to confirm who is providing the loan, the problem this board have is they know they are a busted flush if they go with Spivs direct, any normal thinking fan looking at all the available evidence would know that to go with Spivs direct and the incompetents at boardroom level is the wrong way to go and will cause untold confrontation for months NO years and the word boycott will continue to haunt them until change is brought to bear (sorry for the pun)

As you mention George the shares are the crucial point, who has the advantage? Will we get the required amount to win the EGM?

The one thing that MUST happen and should not be interfered with is the calling of the EGM.

We must go with it regardless of the attempted threats and excuses from the board etc, because that's wee jacks MO and he will be trying every trick in the book.

Mr King and T3B you must hold your nerve and don't flinch

The ricksen game today brought back so many memories of happier times and even greater times at the promised land. Seeing lovenkrands slot that sublime finish and jukebox dancing up the wing or the hammer being urged to shoot every time he had 20 yards!. . Tears in my eyes troops honestly. But the 41000 crowd had the board like a rabbit in the frogging headlights really loved ibrox full to the rafters just for one day I know but your all lying if you say you didn't. . now that the superpower of scottish football Falkirk has beat the European heavyweights hearts could we be ready to emulate the greats of today and reel them in and gain automatic promotion or even give glasgows second force a game?? Maybe it was just the passion of today's game and the pre match atmosphere which was electric but today for the 1st time in years I felt like a Rangers supporter. . Anyone else?? Ed? Guys?

What a crowd and turnout at Ibrox today for fernando's game brilliant and worth every penny for entertainment alone!

This shows the current incompetants what the real supporters can do when called upon!

I hope they don't mess about with the proceeds and every penny that was raised goes to the good causes nominated!

Otherwise back to normal duties, as I suspect there will be some major news tomorrow probably starting at about 07. 00am via the LSE?

If we could summond the support like today to fight this board and Spivs direct then it would be a hands down win to
T3B and king

Your thoughts fellow bears

Trr a lot of tears from this guy today, both my daughters quiet taken aback, as they're never seen tears from dad before today. There both 30ish years old, goose pimples from when the teams started coming from tunnel, once fernando appeared I couldn't help myself, the mob trying to run our club must be raging when the see crowds like today, only bettered by man city this weekend, so bring on the e. g. m. I strongly believe Celtic should in an official statement acknowledge we are the same club as defined by Lord Nimmos findings and Neil Doncasters reaffirming. And to make it clear that the views of the fans who paid for that advert are not the official view of the club. If not Vince Lumney should serve them notice of complaint.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Thats not going to happen)

Water off a duck's back. Let them get uptight about it if they want. Never take fans of DIGNITY F. C seriously. A few of them over last few years like to think they have a moral high ground. Don't mention the biscuit tin mentality, of course that was not fraud lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's called an obsession, I'm sure the 3 grand it cost would be better served going to a worthy charity. How pathetic do the think it makes their club look.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Or season tickets?)

Is there not a law in the SFA rules to prevent clubs going into liquidation and coming back saying they are the same club with the same history, sure I'm right. so, not the same club

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Can you quote me this law Gary?? It seems to me that the same SFA have said otherwise unless I am saying otherwise. I am not saying what happened is right, but it has happened and probably sets a dangerous precedent (ala Fiorentina) but its the lawmakers in the game and the country who have confirmed it Gary so get over it)

I did actually see a draft of the advert a few weeks back which had the official Celtic logo on it, obviously without permission.

From memory the Advertising Standards Authority backed Rangers as the same club before after complaints from Celtic fans. I would guess a few complaints will be sent to them from our side this time round.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - ASA wouldnt be able to do anything about it, it was a group of individuals who took out the advert, not anybody officially associated with anybody. If asked any questions Celtic will distance themselves from it)

I would like to see if the same deluded and pathetic dhims that took out the newspaper ad would please address every club that no longer exists such as Motherwell, Dundee, Portsmouth, Livingston etc etc. by taking out 3k ads for them also? No I don't think so.

These clubs and Rangers are regarded by everyone in football from fans to authorities to governing bodies and in fact the Law in Scotland as the SAME football clubs simple and a fact. The only people that think the opposite are the celtic 'fans' that are clinging to this hope as it is the ONLY way EVER they will beat the more successful the team in Scotland and in the World. Glasgow Rangers.

I love the fact they show themselves up in such a sad and frankly embarassing way it is a clear indication that the do regard as as a threat and fear the day we retake our rightful place as Scotlands true champions, the one and only and legally defined as still Glasgow Rangers FC.

If they really thought this was no longer Rangers they would not care and they would not turn up for the huge sell out that will be this Sundays game they certainly wouldn't be offering fortunes for tickets to see a novelty game against an alledged 'new' team lolol

RTID 54 and 55 coming soon

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

George, your argument is completely invalid. All those teams were never liquidated, teetered on the brink yes, but never liquidated.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Correct, Fiorentina were right enough, they are still the same club as well, dangerous precendent been set for a few different clubs over the years)

To ed. I don't exactly where you find a copy of the SFA rules your I will keep looking. while googling for it came across this in scotzine at the time rangers went into liquidation
Rangers football club consigned to history, the titles will not transfer over
Some people think Celtic football and athletic company1888 ended under mccanns tenure, however it became a subsidiary of Celtic plc. the club was rebranded and named Celtic FC plc, but Celtic never ever entered administration or liquidation it was just rebranding the name unlike the rangers saga. rfc 1872 whose timeline started in 1872 and ended in 2012.
Scottish football has had a number of clubs that have ended up the same way as rangers, going into liquidation and coming back as a newco. airdrieonians, Gretna, Clydebank, and third Lanark. third Lanark went into liquidation in 1967 and has only emerged in Scottish football in the last few years, but the hi hi, s cannot lay claim to the 15 trophies won by their forebearers, likewise Clydebank formed in 1965' went into liquidation. In 2002 saw their history wiped out. and consigned to the history books, while they saw their registration being bought over by airdrie united under jim Ballantine after the lanarkshires previous namesakes airdrieonians went bust. neither airdrie united or Clydebank lay claim to the titles of their forebearers. neither do gretna2008 whose previous namesakes Gretna football club were liquidated in 2008 and reborn as Gretna FC 2008 ltd.
Of these clubs that went into liquidation a total of 18 major trophies have been consigned to the history books and have been honourably laid to rest along with the defunct clubs.

So what makes rangers different? They aren't
They may have won significantly more trophies than the clubs listed above, they may have had a long and successful history but that has all ended in 2012 whether they like it or not.
The rangers football club has now been reborn, June 2012 Is the formation date of the newco and it currently holds no titles and no honours. the 54 titles, 33 Scottish cups, 27league cups, and the European cup winners cup are not the property of the rangers football club 2012, despite what Charles green, duff and phelps or ally mccoist peddle to the press. they now belong to the defunct rangers football club 1872. Alex ray commented at the time in the daily record. " we can now say that 140 years of history have been effectively come to an end".
I will keep looking for the actual rules because I know you can access them but I just don't no where yet but I will find them and get the said rule I mentioned

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Airdrie are now officially allowed to lay claim to Airdrieonians name and history - see the following link http://www.airdriefc.com/history and Clydebank Juniors do claim the history of Clydebank FC - again please see the following link http://www.clydebankfc.co.uk/web/club_honours.php also see following link on Fiorentina http://en.violachannel.tv/history-fiorentina.html - I am glad you brought up "Scotzine" - here is their description of themselves on their own website "team of contributors from freelance journalists, student journalists, bloggers and fans" - I really enjoy their work and think they do a fantastic job, but I wont be taking their word over Lord Smith and Neil Doncaster on official football rulings anytime soon. No disrespect at all intended to them whatsoever)

25 Jan 2015 20:40:48
Have to pull you up on a few things Ed. The problem is that the SFA have not come out and clarified nor have the legal system but I wouldn't expect them to.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I dont think you will find any arguments on it from the SFA, remember it was the SFA and not the SPL or SFL that tried to allow Rangers entry straight into old First Division and as for the legal system, was it not during a legal challenge from the SPL that Lord Smith made his judgement? I am fed up trying to give folks example, sometimes I wish it had of been different as well, but organisations, sponsors, legal minds etc etc have all made up their mind, if all of these folks come out and say otherwise, I will take it no problem, but they havent and it has plenty of folks knickers in a twist)

Naz there club made them remove the club logo from the advert, probably in case they got sued for it, as they have no money to pay any fine that the advert would have caused, they are dying for us to get back to top league, they are skint, ask guddetti, or commens

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary, how much of the 3000 is yours. Your obsession with all things rangers would be appreciated in the gallowgate, not here!!
Today is about Fernando ricksen

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary you say why are rangers any different from the teams you listed, that has a very logic answers, it's because we are the people.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary (?)

To what end do you not want Rangers FC to exist?

Please speak plainly?

Did your fanz take out an advert when Dundee went bust, the first time?

Did your fanz take out an advert when Dundee went bust, the second time?

Can besotted people become more besotted, or is it besottedur?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Just to point out Dundee never entered liquidation)

25 Jan 2015 21:26:33
No Ed. Lord Nimmo Smith never made a legal judgement on it. He gave an opinion outside of the remit of his task. So you agree the SFA never came out and made a statement one way or another? I have no problem with you giving your opinion but don't state it as fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - You are well clutching at straws now pal, so you acknowledge that the man sent on the SPLs witch hunt DID indeed say that Rangers history was in tact and that in the last 2 and a half years the SFA have allowed Rangers to trade as is without pulling them back, dont try and pull a rabbit out of your hat with something that the SFA havent said. Pathetic really. Like I said, has someone come out and say "its the end, its over" I would have taken it, and you know what it would have been deserved, but it hasnt and you just can not handle it with trying to give me round about "facts" when you have nothing)

Fair poin so to use the same argument then using these clubs that did enter liquidation:

Luton, Bournemouth, Rotherham and Leeds United all formed a newco without a CVA, and were punished with points deductions ranging from 15-20 points. All of these clubs retained their histories.

These are facts and accepted in football circles, amongst fans and legally.

Rangers are exactly the same we are the same club with the same history and I agree with ED I am only interested in 2 opimions Lord Smith and Neil Doncaster simple Rangers are still and always will be Rangers rediculous of dhims to try and hope otherwise, our World Record gets under their skin and they are 2nd best now and always will be.

You're backing up my original point thanks Ed. The authorities need to clarify the situation.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - The authorities did - Neil Doncaster of the SPFL clarified it just this week. And I dont think that was your original point at all)

This a a lot of to do about nothing let them waste there money it makes no difference it should give every one a huge lift and all the more reason to hump them next week

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I am bored of producing facts and quotes to be told ... oh but your wrong, but I can only give you example of bloggers who said it, and citing folk who havent said anything at all .... I am bored of it, its a bullshit argument)

26 Jan 2015 04:06:02
and here is the end NOT ONE GAME MISSED, NOT ONE, company sold the assets, club continued playing are you daft?

Agree0 Disagree0

The legal point is about companies not teams. Company law states a liquidated company is not allowed to trade with the name or pretend to be the former company. This is a legal point, not about SFA regs.

I Found myself in tears at the start and end of Fernando Ricksen's Tribute game, almost 42,000 people came out on a dreech, windy Sunday in January, to watch auld duffers miskick a ball around and all to help a man the don't know personally who finds himself facing the most terrible fate, the sheer emotion of a standing ovation and everyone inside the stadium singing his name was in itself more powerful than any political rhetoric or Hollywood scripted monologue.

Somehow I find a little faith restored in the intrinsic good in people, in a world where we are encouraged to highlight our differences, not the basic things we share, like compassion, community and the positive power of people who believe in doing what's right, it was amazing to watch so many buck the trend and do something selfless.

God bless you Fernando, you did more for us today in reminding us what can be acheived in positive movement than we can ever repay.

Exactly ED, I was at the legends game against Milan a cupola years ago, Richard Gough played the full 90 mins, he was so good I swore we should have asked him to come back, he ran the game and commanded the defence, one of the greatest ever Gers men,, but don't think these guys could cope with a return to competition football in a senior league, would be good to have one or two of Goughys s class though
