I am watching the worst Rangers performance in 30 years, Ally, this is dire, even worse than the eighties, piss poor, awful, I am so pissed off watching this dross, we desperately need a new manager, season tickets will drop, and dare I say it. people will do walking away. Rangers Always.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

BB. Out of sheer defiance the season ticket sales will not stop. Good bad or indifferent I support Glasgow Rangers, its a life style sir.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Billy. Funnily enough, I was watching the match and memories of the dross I watched in the early 80's flooded back. Two passes and a punt. All the pressure on Daly to win the ball in the swirling wind, no back up if he did. Even Big DJ was exasperated, asking for them to make a simple five yard pass to a guy in the same coloured jersey. The KO in the second half was embarrassing as was Smith's corners. Stranraer in fairness deserved another draw. There was no Plan 'B' in fact there's no Plan 'A' either. I am in despair.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't at the game. Haven't been for a few weeks due to family and work comitments. I will re-new my season ticket but must admit it doesn't bother me so much when I do miss a game or two due to the absolute dross we need to endure. I was a young boy in the 80's but remember the rubbish back then and the similarities are there to be seen. Another good result for Aberdeen last night. Board take note from McIness on how to assemble a team that can beat Celtic but costs a lot less than ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

Instttead of spivs out it should be ally out if something isn't done the outcome could be dire fans are not going to suffer this forever I would say the biggest problem at the club at this minute in time is the onfield performance something must be done the lugar needs to come out of g wallace pocket and the trigger pulled the tide against ally is turning into a sunami

Agree0 Disagree0

Dandi - that's one thing about big DJ, he calls it as he sees it

his pet hate (and mine) is our tactic to have every single player back in our box at corners, WTF is that about

even worse we have started doing it at any free kicks inside our half as well

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on billyblackpool, watching earlier matches I never believed I could say this but make no mistake, IT IS GETTING WORSE, and if Ally and mates do not go I cannot see where improvement will come from.

If Rangers draw either aberdeen or utd in cup it wil be 3-0 at h/time. I've no douts about that. aMc is clueless. He simply isn't a football manager. He is all about punting the ball into the boy and having 8 men in there and hoping the ball lands at their fet. Its infantile and dated. We won't be anywhere near the glitterdome come cup final day because we aren't in the same class as the teams I mentioned. And their manages wil be aware of that. aMc has had a charmed passtoage to the stage we. re at now. If we had delboy we would be favourites. iMo. Tomblue

Didn't see the game but heard towards the end that Rangers were reduced to basically time wasting against a bunch of part timers to get a win.

And meanwhile Derek McInnes again showed why he will be Scotland's manager of the year by beating Celtic for the second time running and ending their undefeated league run.

In all honesty is there a bear out there that doesn't think our team would play better and more effective under a manager like this instead of Ally because as far as I can see there is absolutely nothing remotely 'super' about McCoist's management skills.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ OP 2, 3 4 6, 7 & 8 agree 100%. But listening to Dave King's intervention today he like the two Murrays and McColl back Supper Ally. Those of us seeking a different manager seem to be stuck with Mr McCoist for the forseeable.
So nae point in having a scouting system if you have a manager who won't play talented youth. Och I'm scunnering maself

Agree0 Disagree0

Nbear2 they say they back ally maybe for the same reason cw and cg backed ally to get the support backing them if they were to get control ally would maybe be moved upstairs

{Ed039's Note - Starting Line-Up tonight:
Bell - Foster, Mohsni, McCulloch, Wallace - Aird, Black, Peralta, Smith - Law - Daly

Ok peralta let's see what you've got I midfield then

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Like the rest of this dross team. he contributed nothing. we could not pass water. bench them all. except, Bell Wallace. Daly. Law. get the young lads in. put this lot to shame. i'm pig sick watching us struggle against part time lads. shameful

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Cammy Bell was man of the match)

BB wasn't at game tonight so can't comment but posted after sat game same players did on sat plus on sat I would have given black pass marks but I'm not a big fan but remember the ones you mention were all bosmans and the team we had last year were mostly put together in a month and all free so not one transfer has been paid I know we are paying them well but to get the players who come in this year we had to pay over the top to get them to drop down the leagues I know it's not pretty right now but what do you expect when half the team are miles off the pace when's the last Time Temps gave us a good 90 mins Big Jig sorry he's seen better days we have a problem at right back I'm not over impressed with Peralta though I will give him a bit more time now I'm not convinced Ally is the right guy but I'm willing to give him a chance in the top fligh with a budget to buy players young boys yes I want to see them play but do we have good enough young boys remember most of the young boys with a chance left us we have no scouting system and even if we were to start now it will take years to see any results so though I agree with you the football is poor I don't see the point in bringing a new manager in right now we don't have the money to do that and while the fans all post on here regarding the manager I'm more interested what's going on upstairs £1.5 mill loan for working capital which means we don't have enough money to get us till the season tickets £1 mil of this loan is at an interest rate of 30% payable by sept more penny shares for the spivs while I had to pay 70p a share so that is out of next years budget so let's forget about Ally as I've said right now it's not to pretty but we are on track to go up another league but when will this board open up and tell us just what is going on upstairs

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree with most of your points cooperboy, we badly need a chief scout & scouting network put in place, a poster called bluebeard posted in reply to one of my posts 2 days ago that neil mccann is going to be given the job of rangers chief scout at the end of the season, well I really do hope he's right because I think mccann would be a very good appointment for us & yes cooperboy it will take several years before we do actually see the benefit of a new scouting network, also your correct in saying that this is not the time to get shot of our manager ally mccoist, as for the ceo graham wallace & his board, I'm prepared to be patient & wait to see what mr Wallace is going to come up with when he tells us what his five year plan is going to be to take our great club forward, after the 120 days he asked for is up in mid april, it's going to be interesting that's for sure,

Agree0 Disagree0

Cooperboy - your wrong about the loan terms mate, take a look at the announcement made to LSE

firstly its a credit facility which is money being made available to the club if required

laxey have made 1m available and agreed a 15% premium payment on the nominal value (max 150k if we use all of 1m) to be repaid in cash or shares at a value of 26. 5p or the share price of any rights issue in the next year whichever is the lowest.

they will not get shares for 1p,

easdale has made 500k available
"on a fee and intrest free basis"

i am unsure whether that means he will receive a fee but take no interest
or
if he will take no fee or interest and only receive repayment of any money that the club uses

if its the second one, I don't see why he should be getting stick for doing that to help the club

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@ jg how is easdale doing it for the club if the loan doesn't get paid back he's getting edmiston house or the car park or a share of them both so he stands to make a lot more than 500k also I don't get how people saying easdale & laxey giving the loans against assets means there isn't any chance of going into admin

Agree0 Disagree0

Thebear - it's normal to have some security against the money, remember it's a facility for the club to use if required for no fee no interest,
if these guys really wanted us in admin there are easier ways to do other than put up 1.5m of their own money

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@7 why not secure loan against our primary assets? murray park and ibrox.

easdales say no issue with deeds, but then won't accept security on them.

you seem to be clutching any straws no matter how slim they are. backing the board as ever no matter that the interest rate offered (repaid at laxleys discretion!) is 29% APR when our neighbour get 1. 5% above base rates, 12x better loan rates!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - You cant secure a £1.5m loan against Ibrox and Murray Park, doesnt anyone know how outrageous that sounds?)

@ jg the point I was trying to make is if they know that the club is going forward without any cash flow problems then why not just give the money over without needing the assets as security also the car park and edmiston house is worth more than 1.5m

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 - what? Are you complaining now because the board never put ibrox up as security on a 1.5m credit facility, what are you on?

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

The bear- if we didn't have cash flow problems we would not need the credit facility mate,

If it was any other business they would have gone to a bank, obviously we don't have that option available to us at this time

I think it's reasonable to put a car park and a derelict building which I think we paid 2.5m for, up as security against 1.5m

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

N11 would not have had to put nowt up for sureity if the board had asked the rst

Agree0 Disagree0

@12 - I doubt that very much

I am surprised however that no one has brought up the subject of the other credit facility that we have and the security against that one

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 - if you read what I posted you might see that I was trying to explain the terms of the credit facility to Cooperboy

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

I think easdale and laxey aren't confident enough that we will not go into admin that's why they've secured the loans against assets

I was a bit surprised that nobody congratulated the U20's on reaching the youth cup semi final, so I will.
Congratulations lads

Bluebear - saw you were planning going to the game, how was it?, any young guys stick out?

JG

25 Feb 2014 20:17:48
Jg, yes mate some very promising young players from what I could see gasparotta and halkett both very strong at the back and more than a handful at the other end corners and set pieces, Charlie telfer another who acquitted himself well prepared to run at the opposition and not afraid to shoot also callum gallather did well on a tricky pitch all well worth a first team promotion, I did post after the game but do seem to struggle to log in watp Bluebear

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Login please Bluebear, when logging in click "remember me" so that it doesnt kick you out when typing a long post)

Bluebear - thanks, that must be why Telfer and Halkett have been on the bench couple of times recently, hopefully they will get a run out sometime soon in the first team

I see Ally in the papers today quoted as saying he`s already looking to sign Bosman players for the championship next season.
ffs what's wrong with given youth a chance, Instead he`s looking at signing complete unknowns from Bosmania is it any wonder we`re skint:).
bluebeard

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bb the rumour page says the bosman is kris boyd eh

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 1tmwnn- Unbelievable but probably true. Are we going for the slowest strike partnership in world football? Boyd and Daly two good finishers - BUT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nbear2 boyd is still scoring but I wonder if he is working his ticket on getting back to rangers then becomes the lazy git that he was first time round I know he scored plenty ftr but think how many it could have been if not for his lazyness

As a Scot exiled in England for many years I don't get much of a chance to watch Rangers either live or on TV (coverage very patchy down here for Gers this season). What I have seen and what I read every week in the Sunday Post and online Scottish newspapers doesn't make good reading. Why isn't McCoist playing McAusland, MacKay and McLeod regularly? I realise the last-named has been injured. Also is Hutton still injured too? With Bell, Daly, Wallace and Templeton we probably have a spine of players with SPL experience who can take us through the Championship next season but we must play our young talent, which is quite impressive. As for funding, I think Dave King will come back in the next three months or so and plough money into the club along with another backer, maybe Brian Kennedy. McCoist must step down at the end of this season and we should have a clear-out and appoint a vibrant new manager, maybe Billy Davies, Terry Butcher or Richard Gough?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Brian Kennedy, are you sure it is England and not in a cave somewhere. Brian Kennedy is a Hibee and a rugby fan. He wanted to take control for the same reason as CG did, it is a cash cow and he could then have his rugby team playing at Ibrox and he could sell their current ground for flipping huge wedges of cash. Dave King CANNOT come in unless the Easdales and Laxey are willing to dilute their shareholding and they won't do that. Great idea, get Richard Gough in, great track record in the league with. , oh forget that what about his experience in Europe with. , ah never mind he is an ex player so he must be a good manager! Billy Davis is a cheque book manager and he is currently with a club he genuinely seems happy with, Butcher just signed 3 year deal at Hibs so would cost a fortune. T

Agree0 Disagree0

DOIGER, you make a lot of good, valid points here mate & I find myself agreeing with most of them, the one that I slightly disagree with is that I think our manager ally mccoist deserves a shot at managing rangers in the big league if he wins the scottish championship next season which will be hard, now I know mccoist has made tactical mistakes and still has a bit to prove as the biggest club in scotland's manager, 'THE FAMOUS GLASGOW RANGERS', I've been a season ticket holder for almost 40 years now & I' m also a former shareholder & now a current community shareholder through the rst, I support the club I love through thick & thin, if & its a big if we need to change mccoist as our manager there is only one man who should be the next rangers manager and that is the current nottingham forest manager wee billy davies who has already said he'd take the rangers job in a minute no matter what league we're in

Agree0 Disagree0

To date Rangers have only dropped 4 points, so we have no need to bring in a new manager plus we have no money. As for Butcher he has recently just movedm Invernes to Hibs.
We currently ave players with SPL experience which form the spine of the team, but we need to give games in the latter part of the season to players such as Gasparato, Halket, Telfer, Crawford, and Calum Gallacher.
Telfer and Gallacher are both in the squad for tonights game v Stranraer.
As for Hutton, and Macleod they are both injured, and Barrie Mackay, and McAusland are out on loan?

Agree0 Disagree0

Macoist definetly due a shoot oot the barrel of a blunderbus which very apt for him an his team in the bus shelter

I don't and never have seen the appeal of terry butcher as a Rangers manager. His record is questionable to say the least. He made the mistake of his life leaving IcT for the e. burgh sellik. Then he made a statement recently sa xing "we are targetting a top six finish " am I missing something here? Top 6? In a 12 team league. Were ure club is regarded as being maybe the 4th or 5th biggest club.? Pathetic. Butcher wil be bagged b4 this time next yr. We need mcinnes. Or davies.

Anybody up for some painful honesty? We're losing a million quid a month, maybe less so now that a few have walked away, we're top heavy on management of the first team and carrying underperformers and players injured for the entire season.

Business is business and the club is run on profit. I think last Saturday illustrated a luxury we can't afford and performances like that won't lead to more fans spending money.

Graham Wallace must surely know he's got a hard task ahead of him and brutal realities enforced. I think we better brace ourselves for severe cuts. Maybe Murray Park will prove our silver lining.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have been saying so for a while change must come now and I am sorry to say it must be real big change or we wil waste a great opportunity to get on a level plain
