Ok blue would do, let me explain what our manager can see and you can’t. Jones looked good when he came on because by then they were 4 down, knew they were going out and we’re pushing more and more men forward leaving gaps. Our manager (you know, the one who doesn’t see anything or know tactics) saw this and knew that Jones with his pace would be able to exploit this which he did.
How often in the games we play in the league do teams come out and leave a lot of space at the back for someone like Jones to run into? Or do they usually pack the defence with ten men not allowing any space in behind?
Even if you don’t get that all you had to do was listen to the commentary. Kevin Thomson pretty much said the same thing and talked about how Jones has to learn to adapt his game to fit more into our system and get more game time, which was an interesting insight from someone inside ibrox.

I'm a big fan of Hagi but thought tonight he was a bit off the pace. i'm pleased that some on here realise what he does for the team. John25 and Blackwoodbear he put himself about, took the challenges and won us countless fouls up the pitch. Not much from him tonight re creativity but delighted to see him fight for the team. This lad has it all, well except any pace😂 but a great player who will only get better but maybe not faster🤭🤣.

Seeker gerrard needs to adjust tactics for domestic games that's why we struggle and have done the last two years. Europe is not an issue because these teams play against us and are not physical. When we come up against teams domestically that either sit back or play in our faces we struggle. Its glaringly obvious👍.

Said before the season started I would give jones another chance, the only problem is that jones likes space to run into and when we’re playing against teams back in Scotland that like to park the bus and play with ten men behind the ball it limits his space to run into which leaves us fans frustrated as we’re not getting to see his true potential. Not sure I would pick him over Hagi as Hagi has a very intelligent footballing brain and can pick a defence splitting pass that no one else on the pitch could see but I’d certainly have him in the squad before Barker.

We are falsely top of the league, celtic will win their game in hand, we are 2 points behind in my mind. There can't be many bumps alone the way as you call them as the season looks like it will be cut short again and nobody is taking any points off Celtic. This is the sort of nonsense being put up here in the 2nd half of last season when points were getting dropped. Do supporters not have the right to vent their frustrations? This forum is open to all opinions regardless If you agree with them or not. We might be top of the league (unless they win their game in hand) with only 2 goals conceded, but we're still seeing the same old frailties from the last 2 seasons. Just because some on this form don't support the manager, doesn't mean they don't support the team. As John25 posted earlier it's all about respecting different opinions even If you don't agree.
Just to be clear, even though I think Gerrard is not a good enough manager we are stuck with him for the season, and there is no way we can afford to sack him and find the money to bring in someone who is good enough. Celtic, like last season, are there for the taking If he can only see where he is going wrong and adapt to suit. Do I think he is capable? No!

Tactics were nothing to do with drawing at Hibs.
It's consistency from players.
Did Gerrard make the error for the second goal? No it was Goldson.
Did Gerrard miss the Arfield chance? No.
Did Gerrard play poorly compared to previous games? No, that was Kent.

Was Jack and Aribo not playing regularly last season when we weren't good enough to win the league? Was Jack not playing in the Livingston game this season? The answer to both are yes. Again, does this mean that the players are not good enough?

why do so many people come and think the moaning and the negativity is based on the last perfromance?
GillyGer the point is its the same old story each season and this one is panning out the same
Dont kill teams and get punished, can't break down 10 behind the ball etc
The same problems we have had since SG 1st season so that's the issue.

Any other manager sitting second going in 3 seasons and not won a cup with money spent so far everyone would be calling for there head
Imagine it was murty in charge or the bread man? Having spent all this money and had so many players bought in who haven’t cut the mustard no one would stand for it
But we’re stuck with him for foreseeable
Let’s hope his favourites start producing when it counts and any future transfers in are way better than most he’s brought in previously And can get a game
And I’m talking about the transfers that haven’t worked out
Too many failures
If it’s not Gerrard who picks these players then I apologise and who ever does should be the one leaving.

The players are talented enough - it's the mentality side of things where they aren't strong enough to perform consistently and cut out the simple errors or take daddy goalscoring opportunities when they arise.
They've shown they can compete with decent European opposition and Celtic. It's about putting a run together. The first trophy is always the most difficult. Then winning becomes a mindset. 👍.

Stig, I am more open minded than most, but, as far as I'm aware we're top at present, far too early to be calling for any major change, also, it's financially mad to even contemplate it, the season end is when any change will be made, if required.

We lost two points on Saturday because the players on the park lacked bottle. Nothing to do with Gerrard and everything to do with the players. We did miss Aribo and Jack, both playing well before their injuries and Aribo has been a better player since the start of this season. For me, Helander is not suited to the Scottish Game. Yes, in Europe but as we saw on Sunday he was outmuscled and consequently out jumped and that should not have happened. Goldson made a bad mistake and it lead to a goal, (irrespective of whether it was offside), and unfortunately he is prone to making at least one mistake a game. Against poor opposition we get off with it, that didn't happen on Sunday. Our squad is wafer thin and despite Gerrard saying that we would only bring in better players and players that can make a difference so far that has not happened. Itten looks like he will take time to get used to the game in Scotland, same with Haji and Roofe has the same injury issues as he has had previously. I am questioning our DoF, he seems good at getting rid of players, albeit at a pittance but I am still waiting on two or three quality signings that will make a difference! We need a quality box to box midfield player and a quality right winger. It will be interesting to see whether this happens before the transfer window closes.

Good post, we know other Spfl clubs budget on having us visit them 2 to 3 times a season along with the mankies. it’s a fact financially they are struggling along with all the lower league clubs who are professional in name only.
They never thought about this impact when they voted back in April, they were all self serving then and dancing to tune of Lawell’s puppet Doncaster on the Spl board.
Where is the Dundee idiot now. the Dunfermline idiot. Forfar idiot. they all had a lot to say then, but surprising not now other than looking for handouts. stuff them all and let them sink into the abyss

English clubs are still spending 50 million on players, got a cheek asking for a bailout from taxpayers, if they can't afford it they shouldn't be spending it, some as us, don't know were we are getting all this money from.

The English Premiership has gone to the government asking for half a billion quid if reports today are to be believed! These are clubs that think nothing of paying average players hundreds of thousands a week! I genuinely hope that the government tells them to bolt!
In Scotland, clubs had the chance to get access to the blue Pound (as it's been called before) but refused to accept our colts team in the lower leagues. To hell with them!
Having said that, I see no reason why lower league clubs can't go ahead with allowing fans in - Some of these clubs attract crowds in the region of 200/ 300 which can be socially distanced in grounds with no problems.
