Why do people keep going on about the £30m Dave King promised to spend.
We are in the 1st division people. Why would anyone in there right mind spend £30m getting out of it.
Warburton spent under £1m and is romping it. Let's all please calm down and at least wait till we're back in the SPFL before we decide if £30m is needed (which I really doubt given the state of Celtic) .

The fans alone are keeping the club running just now, we're getting 40k plus every other week for a 1st division team which is unheard of, anywhere.
So far so good in my opinion, from the board, management, the players and the fans.

Do u believe the 30 million is there?

The only thing that is necessary is DK to be up front. HE mentioned the investment AND the timing. All that is necessary is clarity from the board and not BIGWULL telling us all will be fine.
In business, things change, depending on developments, so just a simple statement confirming that there will be no current investment, and how the club will be funded in the interim would suffice.
Also, there is no reason why accounts cannot be filed, as the books will show the ACTUAL ins and outs. If there are anomolies, then reserves and/or contigencies can be made.
It does not matter who the directors are, the company's accounts are continuous, unless there is a change of registration. So the reasons given, for not being able to prepare them at present, do not hold water.
These accounts would help us understand what's happening.

totally, DK is working behind the scenes, his first priority is to put Charlie and white to bed and get a pile of compo from all those who put us down. then there's Ashley getting dealt with as well. we are going along nicely so no need to splash too much cash. All you impatient people need to get a grip we are not that far away from the green gang.

24 Oct 2015 10:33:10
In what way is Ashley being dealt with, Stuzo? I'm not being argumentative here, just wondering what you mean.

24 Oct 2015 10:37:21
Dave King will put his money in through new shares which will go to the club. he's not just going to hand over 20/30 million with no security!

24 Oct 2015 13:47:17
I believe dk works privately and efficiently, he has steadied the ship and attacked the rats when the time was right, now they are very worried men, you could see that in greens face, a very worried man indeed, dk will supply cash when it's needed.

24 Oct 2015 15:27:32
I do believe by the time Dave King walks away he will have spent £30m if it is needed. As Wurburton has stated many times, he has been backed fully by the board from player purchases to recruiting staff. It's just at this exact moment less money is required to get us where we need to be.
I understand why people are reluctant to believe the ship has been steadied because of what's went on in the past, but I do t see the point in being negative when things are going so well.
I also think when we get back to the SPFL with the management and scouting team we have we will see players coming in and leaving for big bucks, the same as what happened at Brentford. If Dave King invests £30m in three years I'm sure his shares would be worth a lot more than he paid for them if Warburton adds value to the players coming in and we're back in Europe etc.

I think the Ashley scenario depends on two results. greens claim on legal fees and the court case. if both go the way we all hope then I believe all contracts will be null and void.

24 Oct 2015 17:50:41
Hey gkk, for starters Ashley is not getting his 5 mil back, that's a fact, all has went quiet on that one. DK, is slowly reeling them all in and any deals that were set up will be found to be illegal, it seems obvious to me. DK is like a sniper, just sitting patiently waiting to pull the trigger on those that done us wrong, he is an astute guy we should all know that now for sure, and a he's a hers man, let's no forget that!

24 Oct 2015 18:30:57
To all the "heads in the clouds mob" King wil not spend one penny that he does not have covered. He is the one who got control with promises, not one of them that he has fulfilled. We are paying the bills, so what is he risking? -- His reputation? My effin ass, the man has no shame.

24 Oct 2015 22:25:30
Right you are, Stuzo.

24 Oct 2015 20:57:32
i don't blame the board for not flinging money at everything, they know they won't get it back as cash. it will be shares eventually. they have put money in and are running the club on the budget they have set. all the bills to the butcher the baker the tax man are all being paid. they are hiring back room staff, scouts, fitness trainers etc. how do u make out we are paying the bills. do u want every one to watch games for free.

unless there has been a dramatic change to the way clubs are run. fans pay ticket money. the rest of the revenue comes from advertising, hospitality, tv money and merchandising. have u been asked to pay any extra to keep the club running? the answer is no, so far.

the board, the management team and players are performing far better than could be hoped for. mccoist has been paid off as macdowall the only external debt is ashley's £5m. no bank borrowing, no transfers being paid up and everything being serviced by the £8.5 million put in by the board, season ticket money, match day revenue, tv etc.

what more do u want? the board have said if money is needed for players in january it will be made available as and when. compared to where we were last season things are 100% better. green and co are now facing the music. gradually things are improving, honestly what more do u want.

essentially the club debt is £5m to ashley and directors loans that will be paid by shares. the east end mob can't say they have only £5m debt and sensible players salaries. they are paying wages to players dotted around the world and the only thing that saves them is selling for big money. but as far as i can see there is not many more big fees left to get for the staff they have now and i reckon with tavernier, mackay and waghorn, we have players that are worth more than any of the present squad at parkhead.

Billyb, do you not think the pending court case could have something to do with accounts being unavailable.

25 Oct 2015 08:47:49
Billy, that is probably the reason being given as the accounts might not be too healthy, especially if reserves and contingencies are made.
If there are issues on the ownership of assets then we really do have problems.

25 Oct 2015 04:30:19
I'm actually going to commend BIGWULL on that post so well done. another thing, Billyb the manager has even came out and said every player we went for we got.

25 Oct 2015 11:16:52
King never said he would invest £30M he said that he thought it would take £30M and that he would put up half of that money if 3 bears etc. Would put up the rest. This also included getting Ibrox and MP back up to scratch and building a scout and development network.

Which BTW from last weeks appointments appear to be doing. Ibrox has also been given a revamp. There was no need to over spend at this stage. Money will be spent when required on players. Some need to realise it was never the intention to spend £30M on players, however money will be spent if the manager feels a player that is available will add value. The spoiled brat element of our support need to get off Kings back and look at how far we have come since Easedales tenure.

Billy's I just looked about and it seems the accounts are not needing to be shown until December, let's hope things are not as bad as some people think they are.
