24 Jan 2016 19:32:09
Kevin nolan is the new manager of Leyton orient so forget that?

25 Jan 2016 08:46:02
Hadn't picked them up, thanks. Shame though.

24 Jan 2016 19:29:05
Remember the old days when we hated the transfer window, and we were scared to loose our players! We're are all these teams that are trying to nab our players? There's a few I wouldn't mind getting rid of to trim the wage bill. Surely there's an English championship team that would love a rangers player in the shape of Templeton or Clark. Would hate to see Clark go but he's not been given much of a chance n would rather have the money.

24 Jan 2016 23:02:26
Templeton is injured and not played since August no one will be putting any offers in for him in January.

24 Jan 2016 22:58:34
It was a long long time ago, pre McCoist that anyone queued up for a Rangers player such was the joke of a team that McCoist put together!

24 Jan 2016 17:32:50
Kevin Nolan is a free agent and is 33 years old. He'd bring great experience back in the SPL next season. I wonder if a one or two-year deal might be viable? Also, as I've said on here before what about bringing you Lewis McLeod back from Brentford seeing as it was Warburton who signed him!

{Ed001's Note - Nolan is player-manager of Leyton Orient.}

24 Jan 2016 18:39:49
Need to stop panicking guys still top of the league this talking about players ie Nolan think before you reply to this topic the management and the board won't sell you down the river because they care wether it the guy from Brentford who went to Leeds or the guy from St Johnstone or any guy from any club just mind were we were this time last year.

24 Jan 2016 18:58:47
Cob320 the issue is not winning this league it's about challenging for the premiership next season.

24 Jan 2016 22:24:16
No chance of any realistic challenge next season. We are 2 or 3 with major investment away from that. Top 3 or 4 maybe but could be a painful experience next season.

24 Jan 2016 23:02:27
If Warburton doesn't get the support he wants from King and Co then we might be looking for a new management team never mind new players.
King clearly promised that funds would be available. Warburton stated his two main targets and it should have been a simple job, given King's and the Board's statements, that these players would arrive.

After all, £1m to secure Warburton's first choice acquisitions should have been a simple task for King and his CEO given King's prior comments.

24 Jan 2016 23:55:46
No guys it's getting up this season if we don't spend millions have faith in the management.

24 Jan 2016 16:23:21
What's happening?
In Warbs I trust but let's look at things, before the beginning of the month were told by the head of scouting and both management team were going to be busy and everything done and dusted early. Goalkeeper arrives possibly never get a game 6 month contract, we sign to young stars from Accrington Stanley to arrive at end of the season, Forrester arrives granted only played 20 min but doesn't look any better than what we have 6 month contract. Andy Halliday, Barry McKay and young Holt extend their contract, we loose out on the Brentford lad I agree way to expensive and looked slow, still farting around signing O,
Halloron now the headlines appears to be were looking at loans WHAT the Feck is Going On! All facts, no lies, as it is, mean will our nearest rivals are streantning.

24 Jan 2016 23:06:32
It looks like King is another David Murray, a con man that promises a lot and delivers nothing. So far he has done a sterling job in getting others to invest and lend the Club money, just like Murray. But where is the £30m?

We need to be very careful that in the event that this guy does start spending that it is his money and not Rangers money that is being used. After all, we all believed that Murray was funding Rangers only to find that the Club had been entwined in his messy banking structure and tax issues and King has previous for the latter.

24 Jan 2016 16:11:46
I agree luigi, when your cruising by half time or with 20 mins to go even, that is when u should throw on the young lads to give them some game time.

24 Jan 2016 16:24:46
That was the case when super Sally was our leader as well he would never play the young guys.

24 Jan 2016 17:17:53
Agree, I am really looking forward to see Jordan Thomson get on for a wee run, MW usually makes his subs on the 60th minute, if your up two or three, that is the time to give one or two of the young ones a wee taste of what it's all about.

24 Jan 2016 15:22:20
What about signing Miguel Pallardó to fill our defensive midfield position? Experienced at 29 and played lots of games in La Liga, moved to Hearts and played 2 seasons for them so has adapted to Scottish football well and with his contract up in summer we should maybe take a look at him.

24 Jan 2016 13:54:35
Don't get me wrong, I'm an admirer of Warbs and appreciate he's a former stockbroker, wheeling and dealing is his game, but it's time for King to come good and put his money where his mouth is, for the sake of our club.

24 Jan 2016 14:12:48
My understanding is that Warburton wants O'Halloran and St Johnstone's valuation is reasonable and one that would most likely be met by other clubs.

The only person that is holding up this deal is King!

He needs to show fans that he was not all bull when he talked about front ending the £30m investment or he will lose credibility. More worrying, he needs to support Warburton or he will lose the best manager that we have had in years.

Right now, King is giving our enemies more fun because he hasn't followed up with his original promises!

24 Jan 2016 14:38:58
Tom42 I fully agree.
Clearly the board are dictating the offers to clubs for players, it was exactly the same for Super Ally!
The board might have changed, but theyr low bids and low evaluation of transfer targets are being laughed off by clubs.
Even the fat mans loan was repaid through another loan.

Does King have any money at all?
We're yet to see it! = (

24 Jan 2016 14:59:30
I always thought it was Paul Murray that took to doing the deals as Kings out of the country but may be wrong,

24 Jan 2016 15:44:08
It may be Paul Murray doing the deals but it will be king who signs the checks in other words it up to King to tell Murray how much of a bid to put it, but I mite be wrong.

24 Jan 2016 13:34:35
If Warbs rates O'halloran so highly, i. e wants to sign him, surely he is worth the £500k everyone seems to be saying he is worth!?
He goes on about 'value for money' but are loan signings and £200k signings really the way forward for a serious assault on the premier league next season?
Fantastic young talent, that has already proved he can score in front of a big crowd at Ibrox.
Come on King, show us the money?

24 Jan 2016 15:25:29
Halloran deal is gone, he will move next week but not to is, what an ffffffin joke.

24 Jan 2016 15:44:55
What have u heard stuzo, care to fill us in.

24 Jan 2016 16:02:46
Probably to celtic just to rub it in.

24 Jan 2016 16:15:26
Allan was allowed to slip away.
Diagouraga as well.
We will lose O'halloran this week.
Just dreading news of MW leaving for a club down south.
Am I wrong or is that the way things are going for us?

24 Jan 2016 16:38:08
We go bust next.

24 Jan 2016 17:16:26
Delboy, it's just my gut feelin, I recon there are a few other teams interested, the manky mob being one o them, Warbs has been going on about getting folk in pronto but the longer it drags out the less chance he has of coming, simple logic my friend.

25 Jan 2016 11:37:05
Give me strength!

Can you guys actually hear yourselves.

We have gone from missing out on a few players to the world ending!

Yes we missed out on Scott Allen - and what a season he is having! we must be gutted?

Yes we missed out on Diagouraga- and we were all secretly hoping he was the one player we would bring in - balls! most of us had barely seen or heard of him!

Your assumptions have gone from us missing out on MOH to us going bust next week! Really? Are we penny pinching - YES! Thank God!

Are we going bust next week? - No! don't be a clown.

Have we actually missed out on MOH - who knows? Is it the end of the world - No!

Has Warburton shown any frustration at any time with the support he has received. Are our team struggling? Is MOH high up on Warburton's list - we don't know.

As usual the media are whipping you all up into a frenzy to sell their guff and you are lapping it up like mindless sheep!

Wait until the end of January and see what the magic hat has to say.

24 Jan 2016 13:04:42
I saw something on sky sports news yesterday, there only getting players on loan.

24 Jan 2016 14:01:09
No mate davie weir said they'll continue scouring the loan market, not that they'll only sign loanees and nobody else.

24 Jan 2016 13:02:30
Seems to be a lot of disappointment that we aren't signing players but we have two promising youth players in those positions I'd rather see and play, as in Walsh who when has played looks a good threat then Murdoch played well when came In last season but we also have, Thompson who I think looks to be one of our best midfielders since Ferguson came through so why waste money and reduce the chance of our own making it.

24 Jan 2016 14:02:26
Tom walsh is away out on loan gavtheger.

24 Jan 2016 14:15:17
Murdoch is a good young player but needs time to develop. Warburton knows that u like the two morons that we had the misfortune of having in management previously.

We need a strong experienced defensive midfield player. Eustace would have been perfect but sadly that did not happen.

24 Jan 2016 17:22:31
What the hells the panic, really unbelievable .

24 Jan 2016 23:14:39
No panic just a grave mistrust that King is just another con manlike those than came before. only difference is that he is a Rangers fan.

Warburton has made it clear that the Brentford and St Johnstone guys were his prime targets. £1m would have secured both. King led everyone to believe that he was ready to invest £30m and would front end load what needed to be spent to support the manager. This was reiterated by the Board but so far nothing.

It would appear that King is good at getting others to part with their money while he keeps his in his pocket!

He is letting his manager and the fans down big time but of course things could change in the next seven days! Only time will tell.

24 Jan 2016 12:45:28
Just a wee thought,
After his performance yesterday, O'Halloran has become the subject of a bid from celtic, they are said to be matching the asking price of x hundred thousand.

Do we feel, that wasn't for us and we were being held to ransome for an extra few hundred thousand or, let down again by the board?

Only wondering like.

24 Jan 2016 13:25:11
I've looked everywhere, bovro, and can't find any word of this Celic bid.

24 Jan 2016 13:45:29
If been waiting for this to happen the longer we wait for any player theirs a risk of another club nipping in and taking him, as we know Celtic have done this a few times recently to get there own back after we done it to them years ago.

24 Jan 2016 14:05:29
It's only me thinking out aloud sounezz. I just think that if he rates him and wants him then why not just pay the money. They aren't asking for millions, just what they perceive to be fair market value, which I'm inclined to agree with. He must surely be worth the few hundred thousand they are looking for. Makes us look cheap all these paltry bids and if he is as good as MW reckons then maybe thon mapper Delia will think, I'll have him.

24 Jan 2016 14:46:54
Misunderstood mate. I thought your wee thought was as to whether we were being held to ransom or let down by board.

24 Jan 2016 12:29:30
Need some advice please fellow bears. The wife's been pestering me for a new TV. I've been using this projector and it's been pretty good but she says it doesn't work as well as an actual TV. I've ordered one for delivery but we have to wait 6 months so she sent me shopping for one she'd picked out a few weeks ago, But the guy was trying to charge me a ridiculous amount. It's a decent model, nothing special but there was no way I was going to pay what he was asking me for. The problem is the misses kicked off. I've already ordered a better model for delivery, it newer and it cost me next to nothing! What more does she want! Any ideas what I should do?

24 Jan 2016 12:36:44
Have you got a patio?

24 Jan 2016 12:38:52
Get a new wife lol 😂😂.

24 Jan 2016 13:10:08
Looks like my terrible attempt of an analogy has fallen flat on it's face.

24 Jan 2016 13:43:28
So you're no buying a telly then? That ALDI have got 50inch jobs for 2 ton.

24 Jan 2016 13:48:02
I'm a bit confused teddy, y do u have to wait 6 months for a delivery or have I missed something bud.

24 Jan 2016 13:54:27
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

24 Jan 2016 13:54:51
I got it all along. The 6 month wait is the 2 boys from AS.

24 Jan 2016 13:59:36
He's saying we have two good players coming in the summer if we just wait for them instead of spending money on stop gap signings just now lol. Nothing to do with a Tele!

24 Jan 2016 13:45:42
I got it lol, very well said. If we sign nobody apart from the four we already have I still feel we are on for the title and a good start in the premiership.

24 Jan 2016 15:20:57
most family`s now have more than one telly theses days.
Why don`t you just buy the two, you never know might come in handy if one breaks down, and you miss out on watching, who wins the championship.

24 Jan 2016 11:26:17
Done business early in the window by bringing in a third choice goalkeeper and a third choice winger.

If MW is talking about doing business early, hoping he means early morning, on the 25th January.

He is a great boss, can say no wrong about him, but he must realise questions are going to be asked.

Really hope we get some news tonight and not just the usual, deals are getting closer.

Can't imagine it takes this long to complete loans so hopefully a permanent signing.

24 Jan 2016 13:50:19
Listen warbs puts names to the board, it's then down to the board to sign the player, so it's not warbs fault if we done sign someone.

24 Jan 2016 14:20:30
Warburton admitted he does his homework, suggests what he thinks is an acceptable offer in his mind and then the board does the dealings.

He feels the boars has a little wiggle room, but that's not going to be an extra £300k I don't think.

He has admitted we will not be held to ransom but that both parties have to agree to a good deal.

£500k is not ransom money for MOH. He is St Johnstones best player. No one expects them to sell him on the cheap.

Waghorn, Tavernier, Keirnan etc. They were players bought from a marker he says he knows better and can get more value for money.

None of the players we signed were stars at their respective clubs. MOH is a major player for St Johnsotone.

24 Jan 2016 11:16:34
With the lack of activity on the transfer front, i wonder if something has already been arranged? I don't know but to me something is going on, i can't see why warbs would just roll over and admit defeat on both transfers, especially after being promised by king that if warbs wanted a player, they would do business, personally i think its the accrington duo, (i know the rumour is circulating) but what else could it be? I kept an eye on the accrington game and noticed crooks was in the squad, playing but no windass? Is he injured? Maybe we're getting one up early? Thoughts please bears.

24 Jan 2016 11:43:58
Dazrfc86 - I was hoping that maybe Josh Windass was going to be one of the windows signings as I had also noticed that he hasn't played in Accringtons last 2 games - but according to his twitter account he says he is injured just now with "a little niggle" - Big Crooks has played in both games - Both players would be welcomed right now -.

24 Jan 2016 10:05:06
The O'Halloran rumours have been taking up most of this page for days. Maybe Celtic will put us all out of our misery and pull a Scott Allan move and sign him. That will shut us all up. By the way, I think he's worth the half million.

24 Jan 2016 14:32:43
O Hallorange is easily worth 500,000 and would be an asset worth nailing down with next season in mind. I am cringing at the thought of the boy going anywhere else, like allan. That was a bitter pill to swallow no matter how easily it was dismissed by many.

24 Jan 2016 07:58:22
MW has clearly highlighted the importance of value for money. Does anyone really think that M o'halloran is worth more than half a mill? And can anyone honestly say they have watched the New Leeds midfielder week in week out? Then you get folk whining about King and his millions. He is a businessman. Of course he is going to make coin out of the club! Get real if you think that just because he's a fan he will empty his fortune into Ibrox . if you are so bothered about his unwillingness to pay over the odds why don't you go out make millions yourself and invest! Basic facts are that we are much better off with King as opposed to the other crooks from last year.

24 Jan 2016 09:22:51
While I never expected King to empty his fortunes into Ibrox, he only has himself to blame if fans are moaning about lack of investment in the team this window.

The reason I say that is that we have all heard King say that he will invest 30 million, 10 million, go 50/50 with other directors and most recently that he will over invest. To make it clear, it is King's own words that have lead to fan expectation and the fact he is not delivering on his wild promises makes me doubt his sincerity.

24 Jan 2016 13:00:24
I believe the only thing King has got wrong so far is that he is a bit OTT with the rhetoric and because of that - as BossHogg says - has got the fans into a fluster about his apparent non-delivery. He's acquired a complete basket-case of a club and is fighting fires all over the place - admittedly some of his own making perhaps. There's not a huge amount going wrong on the playing front and - other than King's fairly outrageous statements to get us all buying into his vision - the only people that are banging on about the lack of transfers are journalists and those who subscribe to this and similar sites.

To win the league with some more players would be nice but to win with what we have would be great. Even better would be to get it tied up early and then bed in some youngsters.

Keep quiet, keep working and keep improving.

24 Jan 2016 14:00:17
I totally agree that kings words led to our hopes being raised but I honestly do think Dave king will invest heavily in the club but he will do it under a share issue which can't happen soon enough because unlike last time the money will be put into the club.

24 Jan 2016 07:13:32
If Dave King can't afford the cash for O'Halloran out his 930 million so-called wealth, Rangers fan group should step in a pay the 500k needed to secure the signing club pay it back to them at a later date instead turning them down for cash we could use rite now. St'Johnstone want anymore than that then they can keep him no worth it.

24 Jan 2016 10:01:48
The value of other players will always be argued over. The thing is that Rangers are not even talking to other clubs or trying to get a deal done. St Johnstone and Brentford had heard nothing more from gers after initial interest. WHY?

24 Jan 2016 14:01:47
That leads me to suspect were looking elsewhere for players but I might be wrong.

23 Jan 2016 22:47:44
Just one for all the he isn't our quality brigade watched the Celtic game today and thought ohalloran was fantastic considering the speculation that's been swirling around he showed professionalism and was literally the only saint player to cause Celtic problems I for one really hope we
Rekindle our interest I know it is unlikely but think he would do a superb job for us think a front 3 of McKay waggy and ohalloran would cause any rearguard in the country problems.

24 Jan 2016 00:12:58
Looks like bringing the two accrington boys in now is hotting up!

24 Jan 2016 00:35:22
Shows how skint Rangers are when they can't buy a St Johnstone player shocking.

24 Jan 2016 00:36:25
Yes this is being reported by The daily mail, hope this turns out to be the case.

24 Jan 2016 01:00:43
It is now a credibility issue for King. The two Accrington boys and O'Halloran would be ours for less than £1m. Pocket change to Mr King if we are to believe what he feeds us through his friendly media sources.

Comments like investing £30m and front ending some of the investment are now on the line. Failure to put his money where his mouth is will now simply make him look like another charlatan just like his one time buddy, David Murray!
