:-)

Couple of points I want to raise tonight.

1) I've said it before, but "you've got to be in it to win it". We should be celebrating the fact that we're in the final stages of a European competition rather than bemoaning the fact that "we've handed the title to them" Some folks need to get a grip.

2) The co-efficient is ranked a year in-lieu. Aiden McGready scored to make it 4-3 to Spartak Moscow tonight meaning the Swiss are currently 16th in the co-efficient table and they receive 1 ECL place. The 15th placed nation (Scotland) receive 2 place.

3) I'm not interested in Celtic and their goings on. I'm interested in my club. The Rangers. I like to get my own house in order before I can preach to others. I detest the whole "we're gonna win" argument, because you might not. Some posters here (you know who you are) at least post valid arguments and reasons WHY they might win. The rest of you should take notes.

4) "Yous" never has and never will be a word. Colloquially (look it up) or otherwise. It is perfectly OK to say "you" or "your team".

All done

I can see where the guys are coming from who where weary of us going through tonight but perhaps tonights decent performance could galvanise the team and improve the confidence which has been shattered recently. I was in 2 minds watching the game but if we where to get all the way to the final again, and that's a big IF, we would all be over the moon. We just have to hang in there and hopefully things will pan out for the best. You never know, maybe this time the SPL will help us considering we are the only club doing anything to improve the co-efficiency rating. No, im not holding my breath for it either!

Re: Billyboy , lets discuss why you think i'm a deluded Celtic fan , the evidence is staring you in the face , in the last 3 meetings of Celtic and Rangers , Celtic have played Rangers off the park , scoring 7 goals to Rangers 2 , two of the games were at "Fortress Ibrox" , i know that yous beat us 3-1 at Celtic Park earlier in the season , but even then we outplayed yous in the 1st half , we are 100% better now than we were then , you are not as strong with the loss of Kenny Miller and the number of games taking its toll on your small , limited squad , meanwhile we have a larger , younger , fresher , fitter squad who are running over the top of yous , at the moment yous have no answer to it , we have the power , fitness , hunger and team spirit to succeed in the league and both cup competitions , we humped yous 3-0 last sunday playing well within ourselves , probably about 75/ 80% of what we showed at Ibrox in the cup game , we are 8 points clear , with a far superior goal difference (14 better off) , you have more games than us left (including Europa league) , with a small squad , tiredness , injuries and suspensions and us with more options in our squad and a new belief about us , where does your optimism come from? the bookies have us overwhelming favourites at 2/ 5 , so please get back in the real world , more likely to be you that's on the narcotics my man , i eagerly await your responce William . nd team spirit

When we win our games in hand we will only be 2 points behind and with an old firm game at ibrox its not over yet. It wasnt so long ago Celtic were dropping points at home to Kilmarnock Inverness and so on another drop in form could be just around the corner. We will see who is laughing at the end of the season. P.S. how did you guys get on in Europe tonight I never seen your score? WATP.

Rangers will ONLY get derbyshire or jiranek, if celtic don't want them, its a well known fact that players are touted to both sets of the old firm, and celtic have the upper hand massively financially, kris commons anyone?

Isn't it good to see Andy Goram
Is still wearing the old blue tinted
Specs , I saw his forecasts in todays
Sun , the poor deluded fat chap has
Put the champions elect and run
Away leaders , who are fresh from
Pumping Rangers 3-0 , while pla ying
At perhaps 75% of their usual standard
To draw 2-2 with Motherwell , who
Struggled to beat bottom club Accies
And lost to the mighty St Mirren last
Night , on the basis that Stuart McCall
Will have them fired up for the game
, Aye just like he did at Ipox a couple
Of weeks ago , at least John Hartson
Can give a fair assessment , Andy
Son your living in hope my man ,
Time to face facts , the baw's burst
, Your team is over the hill .

Shut up you clown, this is the same Andy Goram who p1ssed all over Celtic strikers on many an occasion. He has every right to have an opinion, just as Hartson does through his green tinted specs. You don't have to agree with it but don't come on here giving him abuse you t1t. As for Celtic playing at 75% well Rangers where at about 5% so maybe that's why it finished 3-0. Just remember it wasnt so long since you where greeting into your Buckie when we pumped yous 3-1 at the piggery so don't count yer chickens until there hatched b1tch t1ts.

Is this the same Hamilton that celtic could only draw 1-1 with? And even then they were lucky!

Great result tonight, shame I've got to love edu again. Anyway why is everyone complaining about the packed fixture list a wins a win and as long as were winning I'm happy. We could have lost today and still lose everything else so why hope we lose. More games just means they won't train as much during the week and play more games so it won't affect them as much as you think.

Good luck tonight Rangers. A win is good for Scotland, good for Rangers finances, good for Hearts and good for Celtic. Everybody wins! Try and make it after extra time and penalties though ;-)

Diouf has just scored!

I am a rangers fan not watching gers tonight as i want them to go out as i think a win tonight would as good as hand celtic the title with the backlog of fixtures still to play and the small squad does not help. if you agree press believeable if you want them to go through press unbelieveable.

What possible good is to rangers to fet a result to tonite?if rangers go thru and have to take on another 2 games in europe kiss any chance of winng the title goodbye.were never gona win the dam thing anyway.you have teams in this compo like the liverpools and man citys who spend hundreds of millions on players.the city subs bench will probably have 100 millions worth of players on it enough to buy our club for god sake.the only party who will be happy to see us progress tonite are celtic and the bank. of whom the latter will just gazzump the money made any way. progress tonite and that leaves another thursday night game before celtic come to ibrox again.check the dates. we just have to hope we don't pick anymore injurys up tonight.walter puts a 2nd string out.and get out of this competion while the titles still within our grasp. think about it bears.

Rangers team tonight (5-4-1): McGregor, Foster, Bougherra, Weir, Bartley, Papac, Davis, Whittaker, Edu, Fleck, Diouf.

Hopefully we can get a result tonight but I do feel it will be a struggle. I just can't see how we are going to pose any threat going forward. We will play defensive trying not to concede and hopefully get a goal on the counter or set-piece.

I really hope McCoist alters the team strategy next season and has a clearout. I know it depends on the takeover and how much money we have to spend but i'm fed of watching Rangers trying not to lose rather than trying to win.

Ed's note - I can't find out anything on it, but he is unwanted in Greece and struggling to nail down a first team place on loan.}

If we did go for him that would be a great siging for us he was ok at Blackburn would probably score a few in the SPL.

Rumour going round that Davie Weir is not happy with the level of criticism he is receiving not only from the Media and Rangers Fans but also his own team mates . He intends quiting ater the Sporting game - may not even play in that .

Ally Mcoist is poised to ask former Rangers defender John Greig to come out of retirement at the end of the season when Davie Weir retires, as he feels some pace is desperately needed after Weir's performance on sunday

Atheist, the disappearance of sickbhoy has got nothing whatsoever to do with me, maybe he is still out celebrating, he might have got lifted and refused to give the police his name (only kidding sickbhoy) and is dubbed up with a few of the missing bears from this site, Who knows! if anyone has seen him contact missing persons . com
P.S A croation chap living in Glasgow, called jelavic has also been reported missing.

PaddyBhoy if you read my comment then you would see that I am completely against death threats being made to anyone. Actually now you mention it, as much as I did like wee Novo, he could hardly be deemed a real professional, he also did his best to wind up opposition teams and fans.
