Merry Christmas folks. Been a tough, tough year for many. Tougher for some more so than others. Puts things we take for granted into perspective.
Missing the match days big time however one things for sure with our team leading the way into the new year that has hopefully raised our spirits immensely.
Teams playing well, squad now seems to be worth a few quid and playing with the hunger and desire required to be winners. Even so with a couple not playing to their potential.

For any of the guys that didn't see the messages back and forth between me and Soton Bear here is a little bit of the back story. Back in March when the virus really took hold my son was due to have a birthday party (his birthday is St Patrick's day 🤬) . We had to cancel DJs, Bouncy castles, Hall, Buffet, the full shebang and obviously my boy was devastated. I then got a message from Soton Bear who promised to send him a centenary scarf that he had since child. The man was true to his word and I received the scarf yesterday. What an absolutely kind, caring gentleman. We have already exchanged messages of thanks through email but I just want to acknowledge it on here. What an absolute hero!

RE, Alfs drop in form and improvement in long term behaviour. I ain't no doctor but is it possible that he has sought medical help at some point and been prescribed anti depressants to help with his on field and off field issues. He seems detached. I've had personal experience with these drugs and your anger disappears as a side affect of the main reason your been prescribed them. Its obviously just a theory but he has lost his edge.

he isn't scoring goals for sure, but Coldo takes great pleasure in belittling him any opportunity he gets, boring really. That said you may have noticed Arfield isn't as effective getting into the box when Alf isn't playing. Also you will notice, maybe you don't because you don't want to see what else he is doing, that he continually pulls defenders out of the box. i agree he isn't taking his opportunities at the moment, however tell me any striker that's form has never dropped. the good thing now is that we have alternatives when that happens. though Gerrard hasn't dropped him many times to be honest and i trust the gaffer more than the championship managers we have on here.

I said a few weeks ago about Morelos and I'm going to update my thoughts. He's not good enough for the Jersey at this moment. Why? because his goals ratio is awful. I don't care if he has nice touches etc. He let's the team down time and time again. His petulance, and whole deninour is awful. Someone said he is our 4th striker at the moment and I totally agree. Guys he hasn't kicked a ball since last Xmas. We need to cash in ASAP.

My concern about Morelos is that he might get red-carded, probably provoked by the Celtic players to get sent off. That wouldn't help the team. Well bassey got absolutely roasted for 2 of the goals. and am notnreally rating zungu. gerrard already said he took full responsibility for not playing his strongest side. Which was crazy.
