worst thing about our team is lack of committment and fight. not murty. s fault that players are not showing the desire in every game, also when we go 1 up. they think game is won and slacken off on the workrate. in the aberdeen games they were 1st to every ball, since then they have not shown it. but the thing that angers me the most. is i think alves is feigning injury. so he doesn, t have to play against the mhanky mob. he did the same last old firm game. murty installed to takethe rap for the board. and i fear more big money worries to follow.

bluesash. 100% correct about commitment etc, but somehow I don't think Alves is feigning injury, to be honest he has faced far better teams than Celtic in his recent career before he came to Rangers, the defence is far more balanced and organised when he is playing take the Hibs game for example when our defence was really up against it, also he has said himself that he wants to play in every game when fit as he wants to play in the world cup next year with Portugal, could it be that he has been playing with an injury and has aggravated it?

In my opinion a fair portion of our support seem to blame the foreign guys week in week out but yesterday the scottish lads in our back four were an absolute disgrace, they let an overweight and 34 year old Kris Boyd run riot in our box,

There's no way a professional footballer with a career that alves has had. Would feign injury. To avoid playing against Celtic? Eh? It's not messi, or Ronaldo or naymar. Murty stands at the side like a statue you don’t hear a shout from him, a few finger points when the camera is on him! We need someone that gets players playing for him, this is not happening, guys like holt windass hodson Wilson Bates are not at the level we need to compete, if a rangers manager plays these guys he won’t be the rangers manager for long it will only end up going one way! Granted these are not his players but he is still constantly picking them, we have injuries can only hope in jan we get at least 5 or 6 in

Were you paraising his tactical knowledge when Kilmarnock battered us second half and anyone could see a goal was coming but he waited it out and hoped for the best, then even after we went 2-1 down he does nothing then throws a striker on with 7 minutes left! Exact same at home games he’s dropped points! I think you have been on something if you praised him after hibs game for clinging onto a 2-1 against hibs when we offered absolutley nothing

I agree with the guys that reckon Alves is conning us. He is not good enough anyway. Against Hibs he was terrible. Richard Gough and Butch must look at this lot and despair! . Mcriorie has had a better season than the rest of the squad put together.

Alves is not good enough? Alves is a world class defender.

We were lucky not to be hammered by Hibs, at no point in the game did we look the better team and even against Kilmarnock and St Johnstone and his tactics were very naive, he is learning his trade and should not be in the managers seat at a club the size of Rangers.

Merry Christmas to every bear on here and their families! I would like murty to sign kilmarnock winger jordan jones and their midfielder mulumba, those 2 are exactly what we're needing! Would like another striker as well! Mulumba in particular would be a great signing for us as he's very powerful and imposing with english premier league experience! He absolutely dominated our midfield yesterday! We also need a no.10 playmaker as josh windass flatters to deceive! Hope santa is good to us and murts by delivering these much needed players for us!

No disrespect to Murty, who I think is a great coach. but he is nowhere near what the club needs and the way the board have carried on is disgraceful! Obviously we don't have a penny! 🇬🇧.

Just a thought but maybe we've got a manager lined up but he is currently with a team and his contract runs up at the end of the season. that's why Murty is holding the fort til then so we get the new guy then rather than paying compensation for him now? Or is that wishful thinking?

I understand that you are trying to be positive Davus, but having a manager in mind and waiting until the end of the season can be the difference between finishing second and fifth in the league, also it affects the performance of players,
Thats why the board appointed Caixinha last season although it didn't work out,

After calming down after yesterday, probably the worst rangers line up i have ever seen
Murty is out of his depth but we can't blame him the board have truly and utterly made a complete Mess of everything over the last 2 years they are a shambles with no backup plan they are a embarrassment not only to ourselves but the whole of Scottish football
King has no money or else we would not have appointed Murty. He knew he would have to buy the remaining shares this is supposed to be a top business man but he has made Rangers FC look a shambles from top to bottom.
As far as I am concerned he has to leave he is not doing what he said he was going to do and that was gives us stability he has done the complete opposite even more so the manager saga and his shareholding .

Cardoso And alves are our best centre backs by far. If you make a bad judgment at the back, 9 times out of 10 you are penalised. Wilson is no good and neither is Bates. I see on here day in day out about the players that came in the summer being critised but in MY OPINION they have strengthened our team. You all dislike Pena but he scores goals, taken his ball skills are low but the results speak for itself when he plays from the start. Murty isn’t good enough, I think we all know that by now but we’re stuck with what we have. Let’s get behind the Whole team and not just Scottish mediocre players we have and constantly thinking they are better than the foreign players. I’ll stop ranting now, Merry Xmas all when it comes.

I'd say the must and ones who are no good enough are Wilson bates hodson kranjcar holt miller windass and rossiter as he is never fit then the players who are good enough for bench are tav John jack Wallace cardoso candidas fodringham Pena and as for Herrera I think he does need more game time before we can judge proper and mcorie is great prospect for the future. And the only ones who can have a first team place if we want to get to the level we need are dorrens and Alves who I think would be loads better with decent players around them.

Merry Christmas All!

Rather than say who you get rid of can I ask who you would keep - short and long term.

For me I would keep Fod, Alves, Tav, John and Morelos. All first team players and I would give more time to Dorrans and Candeias, they have quality and I'm sure a decent manager could restore their form and confidence.

I would also keep Wilson, Cardoso, Jack, Holt, McCrorie as squad players. Pushing the first team players with the hope they develop into first team players. At the moment they are simply not Rangers class. I feel a wee bit sorry including McCrorie in that list but he is still too inexperienced to command a starting place week in week out, making too many mistakes.

The rest as far as I'm concerned can all leave, even if we have to cut our losses.

Like all true blues, l am feeling really low at the moment, the performance against the sheep at Ibrox, then the dismal non appearance in some of these other games is breathtakingly unbelievable. I really like GM but l think he may be too matey with the players, as youth team coach he would be more like one of them than the gaffer. I think he would have to move to another club to become the boss. I'm not saying l want him to leave but being promoted within is a very difficult job, l think you need to be a Souness, Dalgliesh or dare l say it Lennon, just put my hard hat on after mentioning Wee Lemon.

I get your point. Nobody listening to Murty can't help but find him a likeable guy. It comes across. The problem is that's not what management and bringing out the best in people is all about. It helps but more's needed. The Aberdeen players were terrified of Alex Ferguson to the point of making sure they didn't play poorly in training sessions. Then you have to look at team selection. Hodson's a very average right footed right back. He selects him at left back so he can push John forward. Beerman's better than Hodson and has a good left foot. If Alves was indeed injured so be it but then it's clear that Cardoso is a better player than Bates. If Hardie is worse than Herrera, what's the news about QPR being interested in him? Three selection mistakes. That's the point and managers' careers live or die by them. Never mind tactics and being liked.

Gary Monk would be good, but too late now, this board have to go, I like Murty, but more experienced boss is needed. The battle for second is still on, but we seriously need to beat the teams in bottom six, no use beating Hibs and Aberdeen, and losing to Hamilton, Dundee, St Johnstone, and Killie, staring with Motherwell, think the Tic game is a big ask, but you never know. i hope the fans don’t boycott the team. I am as down and as low as everyone else but I hope we can stick together. The squad is down to its bare bones. Pedro and his signings haven’t worked out. Murty doesn’t have a lot of options available to him and the dof hasn’t had a transfer window yet. Big game on Wednesday and here’s hoping we get 3 points by hook or by crook. I hope we avoid a hiding at parkhead then we can add one or two in January and get rid of one or two as well.

Results haven’t been good enough but 2nd place isn’t out of reach.
