Celtic and Rangers need to win on thursday or it will backfire on them badly cause if we dont scotland will drop 12 places and we will need to play 4 qualifires for champ league and 3 for europa that would be mean we wouldnt ever get to the group stages so its and must win for both the old firm and its worth 7 mil if we do

According to the commentators on tonight's game, Liverpool earned £5m for getting out of the group stages of the Uefa so unless we have a good run then we won't be getting £7m

Come on ally get Weiss bought he may not be the best yet but he will be. And he will Give 100% to rangers he loves the club. Not just run away for better wages. Like some.

Please do not sign any mor bench warmers. The are not an asset and Weiss could not get a game each week so why should it be so different now. If they could get him for nothing then maybe but with them wanting 3M or 4M then no chance.

UEFA have rejected Maribor's claim on Bocanegra as it was not submitted within 24 hours of the match - they have not yet adjudicated on the legality of the transfer (thrown out on a 'technicality'), Maribor have right of appeal so even if we win tomorrow this may still be an issue. Knowing UEFA, probably waiting on the outcome of the match Sure we will be ok tomorrow, both in terms of the game and with UEFA, just worth noting the reason behind the decision earlier today. Fingers crossed bears, 3-0 to Gers.......

There is no case. The delay was for legal entry to the UK it has nothing to do with actually working. Merely a border issue if you like.

Regarding this Bocanegra situation....

The possible dsanctions are as follows -
fine/warning/eliminated/Maribor awarded 3 - 0 first leg win.

Other teams that have been handed a 3 - 0 defeat have actually played players that are banned, or not registered full stop.

We have done our due dilligence here, we registered him with uefa in time, we registered him with the SFA on time and we were advised by the SFA that he was clear to play in europe. The work permit issue is not a football issue as the game was not in the UK.

We cleared this with Uefa and SFA so we will be fine. At the very worst it could be a warning or small fine but I seriously doubt we have done anything wrong, if we have its a very minor error at most.

No doubt we're absolutely fine to play. Ifg anything, i think this enquiry will have negatively effected their players more. They're all hoping that they get through by default and would obviously rather that than play us tomorrow. Even if its just sitting in the back of their minds, its going to have an effect on training: "i'm not going to strain myself in training today just in case we get through by default and i risk injury for nothing". Just a thought. M

I will probably be shot down for this, However i would like your opinions, El Hadji Diouf was brought in last season and did contribute in us becoming Champions, ok the lad has a reputation, There are plenty players around who do, however he wants to win games and gets all fired up, doesnt like losing and fires up rival clubs, and fights for every ball, Rangers took a chance last season, why not take the same chance again, let every player fight for their position, I think he is well capable of doing a job for us and bringing a bit width taboo, Steve Keen at Blackburn has frozen him out and has been quoted as saying that Diouf wont play for Blackburn again.
And i personally believe Diouf and what he has quoted in the Sun today that Keen does not like strong characters, and he goes on to say he takes his strong character on to the pitch with him, I for one think we really need that at Rangers and can get this guy playing back at his best, He would not cost us a big transfer fee and his wages might be in line with our current policy. Worth the chance or what? We have in the past signed players with worse reputations. So go get him Ally.

I thought the hadj was great, could hold the ball up slow the game down, pick out a pass. Wind up the mhanky mob, score goals in Europe.

He only scored 1 goal in Europe, which was the only goal he scored for Rangers. Very poor return.

The problem for me Oranjeboom, he was slowing the games down when they needed an injection of pace and urgency Personally would not touch him with the preverbial bargepole, not what we need. I want to see a striker who will chip in with GOALS M'Laud............. Rangers 'til I die

Rangers say that the SFA gave the necessary clearance - so end of? The best way to deal with this is to go out and win 3-0 or 4-0, which I believe we are capable of doing. Maribor are simply showing that they are not convinced that they will go through on their own playing efforts alone. Alistair can use all of this as motivation in the dressing room. The same team as started on Sunday wouldn’t be a bad move at all – in fact, it would be a great vote of confidence in the young lads coming through.

Here is summit I don't get... if Weiss is not worth the £4 M why not do our usual and bid upto the amount we want to pay? You can only assume that we do like him as a player or he would not have been here on loan, so why not chance our arm and bid £2 mill then £2.5 etc. If we don't get him fair enuff but at least try. Whyte seem good at trying and failing so let's have a go.
