Kenny Miller

Sorry, I thought his wife was "abused" in the restaurant.

Who wouldn't defend their wife? - a loser?

24 Sep 2016 07:06:07
At the end of the day no one knows what happened in the restaurant that evening. The sensible thing to do is wait for the facts before forming an opinion but something tells me that is not going to happen.

24 Sep 2016 07:18:14
loads of people know the restaurant wasn't empty.

24 Sep 2016 09:57:08
If we believe what the OP posted, i. e. Miller was just defending his wife, then look at the information we have from papers, i. e. Miller's wife was attacked by another woman. Then the logic is Miller done something to the woman attacking his wife.

This is why I am suggesting we wait for facts before forming opinions.

24 Sep 2016 10:44:51
Ranger, the kenny millar story will be headlines in some newspaper, (guaranteed eh) speaking of bad press i was just reading the club statement, about bad press at the cup finel, well worth a read., apologies an all, too late with there apologies, in my eyes, its a case of people will remember the bsd stories printed, let's see how much space there apology gets, if printed at all.

24 Sep 2016 13:22:06
I am told Miller stood between them and stopped her advancing on his wife.
Restaurant was a bad choice; tim den.

23 Sep 2016 20:57:11
I think many of you will disagree, but I am going to welcome Joey B back with open arms. I will support him and cheer him on, just as I will any other player. He came to be successful. If anything, I think we will see a player who is eager to prove everyone wrong.

In hist first few games the media were singing his praises. A couple bad games and he's "past it". doesn't become a bad player over night. He is a winner and winners are what we need.

Last chance Joey! Earn your spot!

24 Sep 2016 09:14:53
JB may be vocal and not portray his thoughts in the most diplomatic manner but it does not discount the fact he is a winner and took losing to them in a bad way. There is not getting away from the fact that he is a good player, however to date he either does not fit the system or is in fit. Either way he deserves a chance to prove his worth and if it does not work he will be off in the summer.

23 Sep 2016 23:51:34
I'll be honest I was excited when he signed but the difference from last season was we were fast going from back to front but it seems the midfield are slowing down the pace we were used to for me. I'll be open to giving him a chance but I'll take any of rossiter, holt, crooks, forrister, windass, Halliday to bring some of the fast passing forward momentum at the moment which I feel we are missing in the midfield.

Celtic fan here. Genuine question lads, realise Wallace is a decent player, good professional and has been there from square one, however I don't think many could argue has been going through a bit of a rough patch atm!? I watched you guys against QOS and although I realise having Wilson back gives you a bit of extra solidarity at the back I thought the young LB Holding (I think) had a great game. Would you agree that it now maybe time to give the lad a few games, regardless of the fact you have some tough ones coming up, or would youz prefer to stick with Wallace for now due to his experience?

{Ed039's Note - Hodson I think you are referring to. Lee Wallace must play in my opinion, its not just Wallace going through a tough time, the entire team is)

23 Sep 2016 19:45:48
Godson looks a decent player but Wallace is our captain and a very good player. Wallace for me.

23 Sep 2016 20:13:25
Tompo he looks a solid player but i'm with ed here on this and there s something that doesn't sit right with me a right footed player playing at left back.

23 Sep 2016 21:44:05
To po 88, very good comment, Hodson def been impressive and can play both full back positions and do like what I have seen of him .
Captain Wallace to me and I will get slated would be playing alongside Wilson in CD .
When it comes to the semi I really think we will do better as we have Eleven new players in squad and takes time to gel, Europe main aim this season then see what happens, just a pity the Richards of the last board sold us down the swanny and don't have the millions from strips etc .
WE will get there.

23 Sep 2016 22:15:45
I'm the first to admit lee Wallace is not playing like he can but he stayed with us when all the badge kissers were falling over each other to get out the door yet they're were fans wanting lafferty back I don't get it.

24 Sep 2016 07:19:01
I would take a punt on the alloa left back he looked a fantastic prospect against celtic.

23 Sep 2016 23:35:07
Wallace has had one good season out the last three playing against part timers but most fans think he's undroppable.

23 Sep 2016 23:59:12
Hodson.

24 Sep 2016 21:06:02
Wallace never had the opportunity to develop the way he could have thanks to the unfortunate timing of events. No one at rangers progressed under McCoist and McDowall and in his one season under a decent quality manager, Wallace played well.

He is a decent quality defender and while not in the same class as some of our previous left backs he is currently one of the best, if not the best, on Scotland.

My only problem with him is that as Captain he lacks leadership skills. We need a Butcher, Gough, Greig, Amoruso or Ferguson. Someone that pulls the team together, leads from the front and galvanises the players into a team that works for one another and fights for one another.

A player that defends his colleagues on the field and shows all the leadership qualities of a born winner. Unfortunately we have no one that fits that description at present. In some respects Halliday comes closest but he has too many potentially better players vying for the same position at Rangers to be guaranteed a game every week.

23 Sep 2016 17:24:22
Hearing joey barton is trying to convince rangers he will step up to the mark and put this behind us, I wish we would drop this dafty.

23 Sep 2016 18:45:25
It's not quite as simple as that and I'm guessing by Barton's comments he won't go quietly.

23 Sep 2016 18:57:15
He is dropped and out the picture probably won't play for us again, banned from club no match practice, can't see him training heavily either and having to go in and face the players again, hopefully he's on the blower every night apologising to team mates but personally his days are numbered, if he's professional about this saga and eats humble pie he should be abroad bursting a gut somewhere with high altitude/ good diet to get fit and away from press/ twitter, so he is ready to step up to the mark some how I just don't see that happening, who knows maybe he will surprise.

24 Sep 2016 13:26:47
Paulsrfc i can't see a way back for barton, i recon he will be off the numbers next transfer window, mw won't allow a causer near the dressing room/ first team players.

23 Sep 2016 16:48:40
Just watched lee Wallace press. Conference, his love for rangers shines through massively, really enjoyed it.

23 Sep 2016 17:18:35
I didn't, he talks wan load of guff. trying to protect our results from this season.

23 Sep 2016 18:01:48
Well that's your opinion, not mine. Wallace has been superb for rangers.

23 Sep 2016 18:08:02
Maybe he never got the memo from this side that we should slag ourselves off talk ourselves down and generally show hatred to our own club and players then be totally incensed when tits like Barton bring us into disrepute or the sheep want to take the piss out of us with a minutes applause. The man is the club captain and stuck by us me personally I'm behind him all the way.

23 Sep 2016 18:13:54
Best way to respond to the 12 min applause, if we can't score a goal at that time, is to clap along at the same time. Everyone clapping the Rangers.

23 Sep 2016 18:23:04
The guy has been loyal to the club and deserves respect. He is also as good as any other left legal in Scotland and is a better player than Whittaker, (remember him)!

The problem is that he is not a leader and this detracts from both his game and his role as Captain. He needs to be significantly more boisterous and aggressive and he needs to have the confidence to lead from the front. He certainly has the ability to take men on and we need to see more of this when the chips are down. We need to get back to the fighting unit that we were under Souness where if you take on one of our players then you take on the entire team!

23 Sep 2016 18:31:38
Robbie 1872 honestly mate turn it up we don't need lee Wallace to tell us about the bad results he is club captain what would his team mates, manager and majority fans think of him if he slates the club as far as I heard from him he just told truth with out sticking the boot in to team mates showed class in the press conference said what I would expect to hear from a rangers captain especially the bit about the best fans in the world.

23 Sep 2016 14:42:55
With regards to Barton, he has qualities as a player but saga or not we have learned they are not the ones we need! The way we set up needs a mobile DM that can play in tight spots, move the ball quickly and cover grass fast when we lose the ball. Barton has never been this type of player. One of the main weaknesses in our play are the diagonals out of defence that miss everyone and playing only wide to Tav and Waldo. Waldo takes too long and always looks for McKay or plays back. Neither him or our CBs have a good touch and thus we invite high pressing and lose the ball/ goals! For it to work we need to vary this and play straight forward to the DM and move through the zones faster. Rossiter could be the reliable player we need if he smartens up his first touch, plenty of potential there anyway! Halliday too is a better option than JB but misses too many crucial tackles when a player breaks which then leaves us horrendously exposed! He is a talented player and would be good if he managed consistency! Interesting to see if Crooks may stake a claim.

23 Sep 2016 17:31:01
danny Wilson has a fantastic touch and is one of the best passers in the squad.

23 Sep 2016 17:52:29
Good post mate. Either way we need to get consistency in our squad and these money distractions off field and our ongoing court cases with the Sh.? We have had to endure is just draining me. When do we turn the corner.

23 Sep 2016 18:49:37
Danny Wilson does exactly what you are saying with the long diagonals and when he doesn't play I feel overall our play is much worse. You forget this guy's actually fairly vocal, a captain and leader. I think Kiernan and how we played last season made him look times 'exposed' but no other team anywhere was playing two at the back. What's his clean sheet record?

23 Sep 2016 20:05:56
Anyone that watched Barcelona take apart Celtic in CL should realise that is what Warburton wants us to do but the major issue with his plan we do not have at Rangers or in Scotland the skill sets in ALL your team to pass an accurate quick ball at a teammates feet and then to control it instantly plus either glide past a marker or again instantly pass to another teammate

Barca can do this at high speed and always find a man plus always comfortable on the ball and with skills and vision to continue the triangle pass dynamic

We don't have the skills or the speed of though to do this which is the major downfall with playing this type of passing game we did it well 3/ 4 times in the cup semi but failed miserably (Keirnan being main culprit) in recent defeat

If we can as a team learn in training to pass accurately quickly we will be Scotland's best team in 2 years if not we could face few years before we contest the title.

24 Sep 2016 04:19:49
aye every team wants to play like barca, good point mate.

just watch a few videos and we can mimic barca

brendanloves a tranny? you into tranny's mate? don't get yer knickers in a twist trannyboy am joking :D

gers 3 deen 1 waggy double.

23 Sep 2016 12:06:46
So now our most experienced player is arrested. It gets better and better.

Of course I have no idea who is to blame, but we need to get back to football.

23 Sep 2016 12:36:52
its bad media reporting. he was charged but not arrested.

23 Sep 2016 13:20:27
Police scotland stating 36 year old man arrested, report to P F.

23 Sep 2016 14:16:45
his wife was verbally abused and then physically assaulted, let's not try and make this our like he started something. he defended his wife like any human being would.

23 Sep 2016 15:17:08
I always thought the police had to arrest you before they could charge you .

23 Sep 2016 17:58:18
Kenny Miller is a genuine nice guy, end of.

Ridiculous that he can't go out for a meal without some idiots thinking they have a right to have a go at him and his wife ( who has naff all to do with football/ old firm) .

23 Sep 2016 18:07:39
Well said cee, kenny Miller has never been in trouble in his life, great service to the club durIng his three spells.

23 Sep 2016 19:03:24
Cee, were you present, if not how do you know what occurred let the pf decide if there is a realistic chance of a conviction, and if the pf thinks there is, let justice take its course. The man is ( i'd love to say guilty till proven innocent) but I won't. He's innocent until proven guilty.

23 Sep 2016 19:27:33
I personally was not present although I know people who were, this is the talk of the town around bothwell. the woman who kicked it off is very well known.

23 Sep 2016 19:53:01
Cee, if that's the case he has nothing to worry about, even if it goes to court, his council will raise her locally alleged past.

23 Sep 2016 20:23:57
Yes she is a notorious daughter of a gangster and brother keeper never out the Record years ago for gambling fixes

You know it's obvious speckyfoureyes could see it

Kenny just defended. Shame I wish Kiernan was that good at defending we might have been okay this season 😜.

23 Sep 2016 21:48:44
The police failed at the cup final.

Did they fail (again) to protect Mrs Miller?

23 Sep 2016 00:04:03
Target 1 win a cup and qualify for Europa league.

Target 2 give Celtic a serious title challenge and finance the team.

Target 3 win league the and gain entry to the champions league.

it will be a further 3 years before rangers can be the top dog again.

23 Sep 2016 09:48:17
3 year your ambitious .

Our wage cap is1/ 2 maybe more as much as Celtic

We don't have euro qual to attract better players to get there

We needy use Murray park and build from there .

Nice weekend my ambitious friend.

23 Sep 2016 15:00:28
The thing is FAT ASHLEY is holding us back, unless a nice sugar daddy comes in or major sponsor then we will have to produce our own talent which we should be doing anyway .
Hopefully D King and club lawyers can find a loophole in the contract with strips so we can get shot of him and start bringing in the serious money that comes with strips merchandise etc.

23 Sep 2016 16:50:02
Atmosphere up there tomorrow is going to be poison just hope our fans don't get caught up in it stay safe lads.

23 Sep 2016 17:54:17
Target 1 is do able
Target 2 yes we can challenge them, but how do we finance the team with season book money only?
Target 3 is well beyond us, even in 3 years, qualifying for the CL a hard thing to do coming from our position
Coefficient will be our biggest problem even with the champions route method.

23 Sep 2016 17:59:25
Sunday mate, but agree 100% with the rest.

23 Sep 2016 19:10:07
Target 1 win (a) cup and europa place, sorry but only one cup competition merits a place, that's the scottish cup, and did you not bottle the final this year.

Your only hope is for the bhoys to do the double or treble and you might sneak fourth place.
