How good, bad, or indifferent is Solanke reckoned to be? I don't know whether to be excited or not. Sadiq too bad for words and Solanke hasn't played competitive game this season. Any bears with better knowledge on him?

MBW, how hard is it to get into Liverpools front three right now yet he still makes an England U21 team that's unbeaten since something like 2016 and he's scoring plenty for them too! If you meant he had not played a competitive game for liverpool this season why not say he's not played a competitive game for liverpool this season. If you don't think he's ready/ good enough for us at this time because he can't get a game for liverpool then that's fine but have a look at him for the u21s and come back with a balanced opinion after actually watching him play and we can debate it, personally, for what its worth, I think he's more than ready to take Scotland by storm.

I never derided the boy, only stated I didn't know enough about him to make a balanced decision. Balanced enough JYF. This was down to him not getting game for Liverpool. His appearances for England U21 not really part of the issue. I don't know if England have a dearth of strikers at U21 level or not hence his appearances but Klopp sees him day in. I simply don't know enough about him.

The film is worth watching just for him singing that song.

just my opinion on this. Goldson and Katic we rock solid for weeks and Katic was also dangerous in the opposition penalty box. So what went wrong with him? I say Gerrard has ruined the guys confidence by Bringing in Worrell when he was dropped for NO APPARENT reason.
had he been playing badly i could understand the change, but the boy had done nothing wrong and we were NOT losing many silly goals back then. I reckon Gerrard had an obligation to give Worrell game time and for that reason, we now have a weaker defence pairing AND a guy who will need a lot of encouragement to get his confidence back.

Totally agree that Katic has been hard done by. Noticeable the defence has not been so solid as we were at the start of the season and the chopping and changing has affected goldson as well. Stick with goldson and Katic.

Not going to question SG strategy because he's the man but do agree with constant Goldson Katic pairing. Maybe I'm old fashioned in outlook but ruining the guys confidence? You make him sound like a 10 year old.

I'm going to agree to disagree, Katic has not been faultless this season. He has played well, but his distribution and positional sense have been variable. He looks like work in progress to me. And Worral has been pretty steady, a no nonsense CB who is very good in the air. Goldson has had a few wobbles too so who knows with McCauley available. A good dilemma to have - who wants Martin and Co back?

Get it together guys Katic was dropped because of injury nothing else and hasn’t regained his form . get it right before skating Stevie. Stevie stuck veteeen rock and hardpkace because Worral and Katic as bad as each other the noo . McAuley should get a run for me.

I watched semi final against Aberdeen on RTV yesterday (was on holiday and missed the match live) . Wanted to see Sadiq as read so much about how he had cost us the match. Not at all correct IMO and his performance was on par with rest of the team. In fact if he was a bit better at timing his runs and avoiding being caught offside he could have been one of our better players.

I was at the game and he was woeful. Not sure what you think you’ve seen but the word around the campfire is he’s been rotten in the reserves and in training. Think we just need to cut our losses with this one.

Gotta agree. Watched same game and sadiq stank. He never even looked like he might create or take a chance. In no way a forward worthy of the name.

Sadiq wasn’t getting game time and Gerrard quite rightly called him out saying he had to improve.
Couple of weeks later he had an opportunity to impress due to injuries etc against the Sheep and failed to impress.
