23 May 2020 21:45:09
If Morelos goes, Cosgrove would be a great fit. Young fit strong lad who bullies defenders.

23 May 2020 22:25:36
Decent striker is sam cosgrove mate but lyndon dykes is better imo and both strikers have similar attributes but the one thing for me that sets them apart is pace! Big dykes is much faster than cosgrove!

23 May 2020 22:59:55
He's mince, wouldn't look out of place playing cb for Motherwell, absoulte hammer thrower.

23 May 2020 23:54:43
Cudnt lace alfies boots.

24 May 2020 08:08:35
Dykes and Cosgrove are both mince they look good in average teams and that’s where they belong neither of them have Great goal scoring records they are smash and grabers I would hate to see us go down that route.

24 May 2020 08:37:37
Both dykes or cosgrove could come in as a back up striker that's about it. If your talkin about them replacing morelos as number 1 striker be aswel handing celtic another treble now. Some team were going to have eh? Doc and ferguson in middle with dykes and cosgrove up front. Were ment to move forward each season not backwards.

24 May 2020 08:53:19
Dykes as a a
Squad player at best. cosgrove being linked with us is embarrassing to the club.

24 May 2020 08:54:39
We've got to aspire to sign better players than Dykes, Cosgrove and Ferguson et al. With more investment coming in, surely a couple of marque signings might be on the cards?

24 May 2020 09:37:28
If you think Morelos is a red card waiting to happen I dread to think how many times both of them would get sent off in a Rangers jersey. 👍.

24 May 2020 10:28:39
If that's Rangers level of players - Dykes, Ferguson and Cosgrove then Celtic will win 10 IAR. Gerrard has had 2 failed seasons and buying those players will give him 3 failed seasons and will be the worst Manager in history.

24 May 2020 14:06:21
Ally Mccoist is the worst rangers manager in the clubs history, a blind man could've won them lower leagues.

24 May 2020 15:39:16
Cosgrove is a carthorse, nowhere near what we require to take us up a level. Dykes is the same, just a wee bit lighter on his feet. Really, the players some of you suggest would be good enough to move us forward are a joke. These guys play for bang average clubs in one of the poorest leagues in Europe for a reason, you know.

24 May 2020 16:28:25
Why Cosgrove? He's a, talentless wonder. Most of his goals came earlier in season since then not much. Kinda equate him to Sandy Clark. Don't think he would improve us much.

24 May 2020 16:48:02
What's ally mccoist got to do with this post sweep1?

24 May 2020 22:07:39
Ally mccoist will always be a glasgow rangers legend to me sweep1!
Been going to see glasgow rangers for 43 years now and many many a great night did the super one give me over the years! Greatest rangers goalscorer in our history! As manager i'll sum it up as unfortunate and it was the right job at the wrong time for super ally!

24 May 2020 22:35:16
SGL, I agree mate, I dismay when I read some of the comments about our players, or, potential players being discussed on this form. We need to get real here, there is not the money around to pay multi millions for players for this league up here. We just need to toughen up in certain positions, shut the players up in the media, and play with a belief.

24 May 2020 23:40:33
Not sure that any of the players are good enough for us, and I include Shankland in that. I keep thinking that if Ferguson were good enpugh he would be at Ibrox just now. I know you can get late developers but any time I've seen Ferguson playing for the sheep I don't see anything special. I'm sure that with the investment and the Europe money along with the kit deal money we will be aiming higher.

25 May 2020 10:09:14
Aberdeen will not sell to us. Do fans not understand, they will ask for silly money from us.

25 May 2020 11:03:38
Covenanter, you sound like my dad when I was a teen and I said something he didn't agree with.
Chill out, what would you do if you woke up tomorrow morning and the headlines were "Rangers sign Cosgrove and Shankland.
There's not a lot you could do.

If this as you say one of the poorest leagues in Europe they should do OK.
I worked in Ayr for 7 months and got to see Shankland a few times 4 to be exact and he scored 5 in they 4 games
I thought he will be doing that at Ibrox soon still a young guy and already played for his country.

I remember Charlie nicholas banging them in for the celtic, I was happy when he left for arsenal but totally diff player couldn't find the net.
Shankland big Rangers fan big goal scorer and big future he would play his heart ♥ out for us.

Like Nicholas play better for the team you support, especially when you've got 50,000 fans chanting your name every other week.
Stay Alert mate.

23 May 2020 21:25:58
Right guys been seeing posts last few days in regards to ferguson, docherty, halliday, cosgrove, dykes.

Saying they were all at ibrox and nobody is sold please name your starting 11 and see how many of the 5 mentioned actually make the starting 11.

23 May 2020 23:00:51
It’s a good question! Highlights the fact that they don’t improve the team as it stands which hands Celtic 10IAR. I would only include Ferguson in place of Kamara.

23 May 2020 23:47:21
Mcgregor
Tav
Barasic
Goldson
Katic
Arfield
Hagi
jack c
Kent
Cosgrove
Morelos.

24 May 2020 08:27:13
Magregor
Tav Barasic
Katic Helander

Jack

Aribo Arfeild Kent

Hagi

Morelos

Subs
Edmundson
Defoe
Ferguson
Dykes
McCrorie
Paterson
McCrorie (GK)

So I’d take Ferguson and Dykes on the cheep but they don’t improve the first team squad in my opinion.

24 May 2020 11:39:30
No davis or kamara.

24 May 2020 14:25:01
fauldhoose. davis is as good as finished. Kamara was one of our worst players this season. cost us games left right and centre. wouldn't have them in starting line up either. davis will be on the bench next season.

24 May 2020 14:52:03
I beg to differ paul. Kamara was brilliant 1st part of the season and there is a player there but seems to be the fans player to blame, goldson and tav cost us more games than anyone yet both undroppable.

24 May 2020 16:23:10
If we can secure a decent fee for Kamara I would be delighted to see him go. He played some good games pre January but he loses concentration too easily and given we don't have a midfield general I would like to think that we could find better if our Scouting is any good. We need winners and leaders. Kamara would probably be a good player in a Souness, Smith or Advocaat Team but he is currently surrounded by mediocrity and it shows.

24 May 2020 20:22:28
Terrible for losing the ball in key areas. lost game to hearts. got jack sent off v young boys. passes to braga players at ibrox more than he did he own players to name a few. Looks tidy on the ball when playinf well but my god when he makes a mistake there usually belters. Poss can't handle the pressure. Would be happy to see him leave.

24 May 2020 10:46:09
Chunky, our club will never win anything if we have to rely on tav and goldson, a pair of imposters, neither can header a ball, mate.

23 May 2020 21:21:15
Not impressed with hagi being close to signing why not go after someone better and pay him in a 4M loan move Rangers will sink if they get 10 in a row make no mistake about it we need the very best talent possible and realistically feasible for us.

23 May 2020 23:02:10
Hagi is a young player who will turn a good profit it’s sound financial sense.

24 May 2020 07:00:21
realistically feasible is hagi.

24 May 2020 08:34:34
How much more can Hagi do? Ok he’s a little lightweight but technically he’s probably on par with anyone in the league I’ll be delighted when that ones over the line. He’s only going to get better!

24 May 2020 09:29:58
The boy only played a few months. It sometimes takes superstars a year to adapt to our game if in fact they adapt at all. He has bags of ability, maybe with a bit more time he can toughen up and kick on for us. Good business if he signs.

24 May 2020 13:09:37
and let's get this clear, rangers will NOT sink if they get 10iar. in fact its disrespectful to the fans and club to suggest otherwise. if the last 7-8 years have proven nothing else is the resilience of our great fans to continue supporting the greatest club in the world no matter what happens. of course it will hurt but it will not be the end of us.

24 May 2020 15:23:03
I’m one who thinks Hagi not suited for Scottish game.
However he will make us money, I've also always said a player needs a pre season with us to get used to how we play and the Scottish game.
I also wonder if a 4141 system would suit us better with Hagi in middle of the four.

24 May 2020 15:24:02
Geesa you r correct re us not winning league,

25 May 2020 10:10:51
Hagi needs to be played in his best position and that's not out wide.

24 May 2020 10:47:42
Rfc98,i think hagi will fit in well once he gets a pre season under his belt, people moan about the quality of players at our club, there are not many known good players that wil move to our league, as most think its a backdrop, plus if it wasnt for gerrard we would have absolutly no chance of half good players coming to play in a two horse race, esspecially if they see the way its all run, pure corrupt. mate.

23 May 2020 21:08:53
See we are close to signing Hagi, boy has good ability. Not sure his best position, no 10 maybe? I don't think he has the pace for the wings. Read reports about Ferguson, McLean while I rate both players and they have the robust physical side to them that I like I don't know if they would enhance our team as required. What I have seen of Kelly at Ayr he looks a player but maybe needs a loan in spl first but should get a wee chance when we start back.

24 May 2020 07:01:07
aw dear gawd no.

24 May 2020 08:39:09
Mclean is better than ferguson no doubt about it.

25 May 2020 12:20:29
Having watched numerous games on you tube from last year even when winning well our defence gave teams so many chances and generally was against bottom 6 teams.

It’s almost as if we felt we could cruise these games.
I think we need strengthen there both physically and mentally.
Is add to our squad Dykes or Cosgrove along with Ferguson we start to add a bit of steel Hagi adds guile.
Kent needs to show up massive let down after hype.

23 May 2020 19:49:57
Tomorrow night guys on bt sport from.7 o clock
Gers v psv
Lyon v gers
Leeds v gers
Gers v porto

Wee night to look forward to with a few beers👍.

23 May 2020 20:10:06
Defo looking forward to it👍.

23 May 2020 20:27:20
Cheers tilladie, will enjoy these again.

24 May 2020 09:31:04
Ah the good old days.

23 May 2020 19:24:49
Next season is crucial for us. We have to start fast and hungry we have to treat every minute of every game like it's a major final, no room for any mistakes do not take the foot off the gas destroy teams we have to beat everyone. Now to do this we need strong minded established players, professional winners in the team and on the bench no weaklinks. So someone like Hagi has to do a lot more for me, the ability is there heart and hard work is a must. Anyone coming in must be a player that will go into the first eleven. Not accademy players or average or he, ll do types. For me Ferguson is not near the finished article. We need Hayley Mcoll Butcher types. We need strong aggressive winners. We need to beat everyone. c'mon us.

24 May 2020 07:02:50
if hagi isn't good enough then neither is ferguson.

23 May 2020 18:27:27
Martin Skrtel to add steel to the defence out of contract June 🤔.

23 May 2020 18:33:22
No thank you.

23 May 2020 18:38:57
Nah, but see your point. When Helander is back and fit, this area partnership is key to stop the goals against screwing us again.

23 May 2020 18:59:43
Need strong defender not someone over the hill like skyrtel. or bombscare like goldson. Really need to shore up the stupid crazy goals.

23 May 2020 21:44:14
I’d take skirtel on a one year deal we need leaders/ warriors.

23 May 2020 21:53:05
No harm lads Skrtel not for Rangers wouldn't come when he had life in his legs would just be pension money now only my opinion BTW.

23 May 2020 23:04:11
Exactly Deanobear!

24 May 2020 08:40:30
Would just be another senderos imo.

24 May 2020 15:25:35
Always been fan of skirtle but that boat has sailed re age, imo.

23 May 2020 17:52:47
Does anyone think that we should sign a keeper who should start for us not just to be a squad keeper? If so who would you like to sign?

23 May 2020 18:25:06
From Scotland I would say Joe Lewis is up there!

23 May 2020 18:34:27
No mcgregor is fantastic.

23 May 2020 18:34:59
No, we've got the best goalkeeper in Scotland and have the most talented young keeper as well.

23 May 2020 18:41:23
Yip, Joe Lewis is a fantastic keeper I'd take him.

23 May 2020 18:53:52
Any other keeper would always be a squad player until Shagger decides he can’t anymore.

24 May 2020 06:05:33
Yeah I think we should go for Marco Bizot of Az Alkmaar, he’s never went for a high fee for a great keeper that keeps getting better with age, He was keeper for Ajax at all youth levels, just turned 28 so just coming perfectly into his prime, 24 games and 18 shutouts before shutdown helping greatly to az alkmaar being in with a shout of the title, saved 50% of penalties, would last us for at least 10 years, plus Players that do well in the Netherlands seem to do well here, that’s who I would go for 👍.

24 May 2020 10:38:20
Definitely need to sign an experienced keeper to compete with and push McGregor. McGregor needs to step up and return fitter and competitive, thought he looked vulnerable before lockdown.

23 May 2020 16:15:06
Starting to get annoyed by these ex players (non of which, have played for Rangers) guys like Lambert and Stewart, talking about Rangers finances. What it has to do with them a don't know, also they wouldn't know what's going on because no-one would tell them. Sick of these idiots, running there mouths, with no real facts.

23 May 2020 17:22:45
lambert was not a bad player bampot of a manager running around dressed up like his idol fartin martin, as for stewart that thing is a failure at everything he has done, useless article of a human being.

23 May 2020 14:14:12
Should we take a punt on lawrence shankland.

23 May 2020 14:52:14
I would.

23 May 2020 14:57:22
I would also jyf!

23 May 2020 15:22:45
Depends on what they want for him
but If it was based on a direct replacement for Fredo: No.

23 May 2020 15:33:13
No thanks.

23 May 2020 15:36:48
I would, could be another Kris Boyd. For those who argue Boyd didn't score in the "big" games, he always scored in and won the points in the games that we've struggled in recently, Accies, St Johnstone, Hearts etc.

23 May 2020 15:45:46
I agree SirStruth and kris boyd didn't get selected to start in our majority of big games. You're correct mate, we most definitely can beat celtic, its the stupid points we lose to the so called smaller clubs is our problem. Shankland could score the goals against they teams which in turn could turn us into title winners. Far too quick folk on here write players with smaller clubs off by saying they're not good enough for us, how do you know?

23 May 2020 16:03:07
Shankland is a goalscorer in the lower leagues so was Nicky Clark. can't see then letting him go on the cheap unless strapped for cash. Could have had him free last year must have been deemed not good enough.

23 May 2020 16:17:59
As highlighted by GaryStevens, it would depend on what we had to pay for him. We will need a quality squad for next season, something we have lacked up til now and it has shown in our results post Christmas. Shankland could be used in games agains lesser clubs. However, if Morelos is to leave then we will need a proven quality striker from a better league than the Scottish Championship.

23 May 2020 17:21:41
Spot on SGL. I have been saying this all season. Lawrence Shankland would score for fun against the lesser teams. That's been our problem for a few seasons now. It's no good beating the mankey mob and end up drawing with the lesser teams the following week. That's 2 points dropped every time. Believe me they soon mount up. We need a predator in the box, and that's exactly what a player like Shankland is. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FAMOUS.

23 May 2020 17:28:57
all these players we are being linked with, shankland, ferguson, dykes cosgrove, the prices being bumped around are between 10 and 12 million for the lot, let's be honest would anyone in their right minds pay that, all their clubs are bordering on skint and would play hardball, to me i think its a non starter.

23 May 2020 18:07:27
Ger4life - if we want respect we must learn to respect the 'lesser' teams who beat us or took points from us especially since the Dubai trip!

23 May 2020 18:16:59
I would of took Shankland for free when he was at Ayr, the other 3 are not going to help Rangers win the league, unless your happy with 2nd place again.

23 May 2020 20:07:44
Like the Stuck says, if you would be happy with the likes of Shankland or Hickey or Souttar or Docherty or Dykes or Boyle you'd also have to be happy with second place - or worse. They are all about two levels down from what we need to secure a league title and to sustain a run in Europe.

23 May 2020 20:10:06
guys Morelos couldn't score against the lower level teams because we couldn't get the ball to him.

its the midfield that we need to have sorted with a decent number 10 to play the killer pass.

this year shankland wouldn't have scored for fun because we wouldn't have got the ball to him.

23 May 2020 20:11:37
Not for the money he would cost no.

23 May 2020 20:12:30
I would but not 1st choice.

24 May 2020 08:11:37
Guys, our current squad got us, 2nd Place, oh wait a minute, that's not good enough, so, why are we so happy to discount other options. I know that it's all about personal opinions, but, at present, we're not good enough to win this league, and SG and RW know this, so we'll see what they come up with within a reasonable finance perspective.

23 May 2020 14:06:57
Rangers to the English leagues Celtic to the league of Ireland or stay with the currupt then the SPFL will definitely be null and void.

23 May 2020 13:31:00
Just an opinion, but all this natter on Greg Doc, Boss obviously doesn't rate him highly or he would be playing with the famous regularly. If Hibs want him let him go for money that suits. We need better quality.
Lewis F, from the games I've seen, he blows hit and cold. He may have potential but the word "may" says it all. Hagi has the skill set but needs the physical balance in the SPFL, will that cancel out the technical side time will tell.

23 May 2020 15:35:16
We need better quality than we have now, otherwise we wouldn't be getting our knickers in a twist about them being 'awarded' the title! Our implosion after the winter break in the last 2 seasons is hard to understand. Give Docherty, and players like Hastie and Edmundson, a chance!

23 May 2020 16:04:56
Yes Doiger, I agree with you.

24 May 2020 08:17:52
Doiger, spot on, too many are quick to say this one's not good enough, but, we've put up with absolute crap from the current incumbents prior to the shutdown, give these guys a decent chance. In conclusion, Alfie had better get up to speed quickly this time around, if he remains with us, he has to start performing for us again, he's been given a lot of time to get it right, unlike others who are too easily discarded as not good enough.

25 May 2020 10:11:18
Any time I've seen polster play he hasn't let side down.

23 May 2020 12:30:58
one of our biggest failings is we need a couple of midfielders, that can at least shoot from outside the box, feel at times we try to walk the ball in, as we have no one who can hit a ball, the mhanks have players who can, and win lots of games because of this, opinion guys?

23 May 2020 12:52:51
Goal scoring midfielder, Greg Docherty.

23 May 2020 13:45:10
Ianis hagi most definitely shoots from outside the box laudrupsgod!

23 May 2020 14:09:31
I feel a solid right back and ch are prority
Another striker if alfie goes.

23 May 2020 15:36:03
Hagi, Docherty and Jack in midfield. Sounds pretty good to me!

23 May 2020 16:37:25
If its true that we are signing Hagi, then I think he would be better in the middle behind the strikers, he is good with both feet, but he looked out of place to me when playing wide. We wait and see what happens!

23 May 2020 18:09:11
How many goals does this goal scoring midfielder Docherty score,
Have I missed something?

25 May 2020 10:12:48
Hagi davis and jack sounds better and could even add mclean from norwich.

23 May 2020 12:27:51
Any idea which MLS team Halliday is thinking of, so I can avoid watching them!

23 May 2020 13:04:04
You're not worthy of your nom de plume.

23 May 2020 13:19:43
In that case mate, you’re worthy of sounding like household cleaner.

23 May 2020 13:43:51
Sorry garystevens that one missed me completely.
Why did you feel the need to have a go at one of our own on this site? I can hear you when I'm sitting at Ibrox slaughtering our own players.

23 May 2020 13:51:28
Andy was immense for us when called upon under Steve G.

23 May 2020 14:10:43
Hi Jyf, I think he was referring to (Jiff) the cleaning agent. you're right, Andy tried his best on every occasion, so he goes with my best wishes for a start, and yours and Molsgoals as well.

23 May 2020 14:10:49
Agree mols i would have kept him useful squad player and he cares.

23 May 2020 15:03:35
I agree with the majority that andy halliday Always gave his all for the rangers and he loves the club! I most certainly wish andy all the very best of luck where ever he end up in the next stage of his career. I'll say it before the usual suspects do,
that andy halliday wasn't the most gifted rangers player we've ever had, but i just wish some of our so called more technical/ skilful players had the heart that halliday had. His attitude in playing for the jersey he represented and loved was always spot on! Superb attitude! 👍👌.

23 May 2020 15:11:21
Thanks irvger.

23 May 2020 15:15:57
I will look out for Andy if he gets to the MLS, gave everything for Rangers and took some flack from all sides but never once let himself or the club down. Good luck.

23 May 2020 16:13:22
Garbage patter GaryStevens.

23 May 2020 12:21:04
Unlucky for Dunfermline but don't really mind if all the teams suffer and release all their players. Better for us if our premiership rivals lose lots of guys too. We seem to be getting back to having serious investment and sponsorship. There are big things going on behind the scenes. I think this year silverware is on the way.

23 May 2020 12:08:42
Would like to see young Stephen Kelly get an opportunity. Good reviews when on loan at Ayr and at 20 should be ready for step up.

23 May 2020 14:12:20
Any time I saw the lad on TV, he looked a player, I agree, give him a crack at it, otherwise we'll never know if he's good enough or not.

23 May 2020 11:55:29
Just reading a post below and its never really crossed my mind before and don't know what my opinion is so I will put it to you. No more Old firm games but probably win the SPL every year

Edd - can I have a poll please.

Would we want Celtic to leave and be part of another league or stay in Scotland.

{Ed033's Note -

Celtic Scotland Poll

23 May 2020 12:08:04
Unrealistic question as going nowhere
Why would anyone want them to leave
Its all about beating them otherwise what's the point.

23 May 2020 12:18:33
Exactly tilla. It’s all about beating each other or what is the point? It’s that reason they will always have a what’s the point next to a lump of their awards. Celtic do awards not winning titles.

23 May 2020 13:32:25
That mob would just say were running awzy fay them tho.

23 May 2020 14:18:08
This league up here has lost it's appeal due to the fact that for 35 years no other team has won the league other them them or us, that is a waste of time and effort, you want to see stiffer competition from most other teams, that's not possible in Scotland due to financial restraints. The latter point is the one that irks me most, the fact that we dropped so many points after the break to teams we should be beating.

23 May 2020
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, 3rd kit?

23 May 2020 11:27:49
32RED spoils the look.

23 May 2020 10:26:50
All I want is the league title Bears, its as simple as that, all the ifs, maybes, he should have hads ain't going to help us win it. Just need very good players, something we have not been used to over the last decade - we have everything else. We have to trust Wilson and the Gaffer to get the right type of player. let's look forward and win it.

23 May 2020 12:11:56
TGBB Trust the gaffer he's had 2 seasons and won SFA.

He’s pulled us up by the scruff of the neck to compete . remember where we were 6 years ago .
It’s not as if we have been competing on a level playing field . He beat Rodgers team . You could say he has never Not beat a smeltic team over a season .
Circumstances . Davis kicked off the park by Aberdeen. never the same . culibally kicked off the park with st Mirren . never the same .
Let’s go Stevie.

Defo last chance for steven.

23 May 2020 15:12:16
Remember the total mess/ shambles steven gerrard inherited before shouting your mouth off The Stuck! I think you're well named The Stuck, ie. stuck in you're wee bubble pal! 😂. I agree molsgoals stevie G has improved us big time and remember has beaten that mob 3 times and absolutely played them off the park in most of the old firm games, since he became rangers manager! We were getting totally embarrassed by celtic up 'till gerrard became manager try and think about that to the doubting thomas's!
I'll say again that IMO steven gerrard WILL win the league as rangers manager! If/ when he does the closets will be bursting at the seams with the gerrard out brigade!
Get behind stevie G and the team!

Your right sgl come to think of it . It was only one game against them that stevo didn’t match them and outplay them no matter the result . The game they did win at Ibrox I remember with distinction.
Smeltic destroyed the game from out . When we had the ball . even from first min . they went down with cramp or killed the game time wasting . When they had the ball it was totally opposite. They were playing fir territory.
Don’t think stevo had experienced that . I certainly had never seen it so blatant in a game .
They had about 13 time stops with cramp from first ten min .
Never again.

Gerrard an intelligent guy and doesn't need the money he knows and believes he has to win the league with this great club.
He didn't take the job for the money he came here to win trophies get us back to the top and back to Liverpool to replace klopp, he could have gone to Derby for mega bucks but never.

At least he had the balls to come here most managers would have ran a mile the state we were in.

Rome wasn't built in a day ask Alex Ferguson. Gerrard is a winner don't give up on him yet. there's a wee statue of Bill Shankley at Annfield and it reads. "He Made The People Happy". l believe we could see a wee statue at Ibrox of Steven Gerrard in a few years reading. He Made The People Happy. "We Are The People".

In Gerrard I Trust.

23 May 2020 10:26:45
IF it came to it, who would be preferred ;
S Allan v L Fergusson midfield
L Davis v S Cosgrove for back up striker.

23 May 2020 11:04:21
Who is L Davis?

23 May 2020 11:29:45
Cosgrove only.

23 May 2020 11:46:00
Lisa Davis, stays round corner from me, outta shape mind 8 kids would do that to you tho.

23 May 2020 12:23:52
I heard Lisa could tackle a couple in her box but Dykes was meant, then again?

23 May 2020 13:25:43
Allan is better than ferguson. Not even in doubt. Has unreal vision. Has blown his chance tho. don't want either of them strikers.

23 May 2020 13:50:21
Love him or loathe him let's get real and honest here guys, as there's no doubt whatsoever that scott allan is by far a better midfielder than lewis ferguson, absolutely no contest for me! Lyndon dykes is better than sam cosgrove for me also!

23 May 2020 14:00:14
Never seen allan playing a full game . He had his chance and now has no chance . Big smile on his face in a smeltic strip as they shafted him . sorry son.

23 May 2020 10:07:27
I work at a caravan park and a cat told me that dogs are barking at us.

23 May 2020 09:14:44
It is all about opinions, but some on here keep reposting about the boy Lewis Ferguson not being good enough?

Think that is all about trying to get support from posters whose arguments are very weak and are trying to garner support. Make your own arguments.

Docherty, Ferguson and Jack would make a formidable midfield IMHO - strength, guile and class.

Those who argue that young Ferguson is not good enough must be watching Sheila Ferguson through timmed up glasses.

Would also love to see Dykes and Cosgrove in the squad.

23 May 2020 10:13:21
If u think were winning trophies with jack doc and ferguson with cosgrove or dykes up top then you are living in dreamland. That would be another trophyless season on the way.

23 May 2020 10:50:49
Aberdeen couldn't get close with a team full of Fergusons Cosgroves. Remember the players they had over the last few years and couldn't touch Celtic and more recently us. Aberdeen have good defenders, Cosgrove up front, a great keeper, they had Madison for a season, GMS, LF, Ryan Christie, Shay Logan, Shinnie, Kenny Maclean all the type of players some of the support are asking us to sign.

23 May 2020 13:53:14
Lyndon dykes has caused both old firm defenders a torrid time when he's been up against them. I've got no doubt big dykes would do the damage for us and would be a good signing! 👌👍.

23 May 2020 14:00:40
That team gives me the fear. Doc only cut it at league one, Cosgrove goes on big gaps with no goals- to be point sheep fans aren't even that happy with him. Dykes has a ratio of a goal in 3. The days of cherry picking players to fit a title winning league are over. The league and national team were a higher standard back then. Neil McCann for example, five times the player of any naned above.

According to a financial expert for a firm in Glasgow he's predicting if clubs can't get back to business and start bringing money in in the next couple of months the half of the SPFL premier side could go to the wall and every side below the Premier surely if something like this were to happen those clubs would have to restart at the very bottom like we did or at least as low down as possible depending on how many clubs survive but on the other hand surely if we did lose loads of clubs then the likes of ourselves and them across the city should be allowed to apply to joint the English structure as there really wouldn't be any challenge left for the old firm or mabey and I do say in jest we could buy out Berwick Rangers and then say hey look were based in England we want admitted into the English system lol and then relocate to ibrox lol.

Does anyone recall from the late Ninties a story I vaguely remember reading that David Murray was trying to buy Man City when they were away down the leagues and use them in some roundabout way to get Rangers into the english leagues don't know how it would have been done but vaguely recall City would eventually have had their place in the lower English leagues filled by Rangers but after the way city have gone the past few years their group would be able to buy us instead lol 😆.

23 May 2020 10:12:19
Celtic should not be allowed to join the EPL. Send them to the Irish league. They love a good vote over there.

23 May 2020 12:11:11
I'm with C of Ibrox, and ideally they take their grotty fans with them!

23 May 2020 14:04:41
Exactly. send them to where they spout about . Griffiths flys the Irish flag at an opposing clubs ground without a whimper from press or pundits .
Happy homecoming methinks.

23 May 2020 08:04:27
What do people think of signing alexandru paun from cluj. Boys out of contract this summer, good player who can play either wing also showed that he can play against them.

23 May 2020 07:31:38
I'm not going to pretend I even have the answer to my own question here but I asked earlier if our signings should be biased towards quality or quantity, I appreciate a mix is needed. However let's assume we sell a big asset. Would anyone here agree with me that we need as top a quality playmaker or no:10 as we can possibly stretch to? I think it's been our biggest miss and if we were able to push the boat, that's where I'd do it
Any suggestions?
