Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

23 May 2016 23:39:49
Had a good 15 minute conversation with rangers legend dave Smith on Friday night regarding the season as a whole. A few points I agreed with and a few I disagreed with but the two contraversial points we spoke about were regarding Holt and halliday. Dave was saying that halliday is one of the most overrated players we've ever had and has been our week link all season and that Jason Holt is not good enough to challenge for the SPL.

I must admit I had to agree regarding halliday but to be fair to the lad he's been played out of position all season. I like Jason Holt though and think in a good midfield with a solid DM he will shine even more than he has this season.

24 May 2016 08:24:52
Id take 11 Andy Halliday, s any day.

24 May 2016 10:54:14
Halldiay is a English championship level player which is far above the SPFL. I wouldn't worry about him or Holt, both of them ran rings round the Scottish Champions 5 weeks ago. A lot has changed since then, apparently all our players are now crap after losing the final.
People are so fickle.

24 May 2016 12:07:59
Truth is somewhere between the two points. I'm sorry but your being just as fickle.

Our current side was good enough for championship but needs improvement for next level- that's an opinion iv held all season, can't base opinions on one or two games- especially when they are polar opposites.

23 May 2016 23:27:02
I see Tav's getting a lot of stick just now. Think we should give the gut a break. Fair to say defending isn't his strong point, but if he could defend as well as he gets forward we wouldn't have lured him to play in the Championship in the first place!

If we had at least one quality centre back mopping up in our defence then every error he makes wouldn't be punished. Let's not forget how many important goals he has scored this season, and let's not forget how many of those goals were straight out the top drawer.

Think we need to appreciate the boy a bit more.

24 May 2016 06:04:40
So what your saying is because he can get forward as you put it then we should forget he is a right back whose main job is to be a defender and you point out how many goals he has scored and credit to him for them but no mention of how many he gave away by poor defending and I hope I am wrong but I can only see that increasing in the league this season. He has got to improve his defensive skills.

24 May 2016 08:05:27
Surely then u play him right midfield and get another right back?

24 May 2016 09:03:04
I'm not saying he doesn't need to cut out some defensive mistakes but people are going overboard.

Part and parcel of playing with attacking full backs is that other players have to drop in and cover when they bomb forward. They players immediately around him aren't doing that and the buck seems to be stopping with Tav.

If his defending was as good as people here expect he would be playing week in, week out at the Camp Nou!

24 May 2016 08:44:56
BT61, what lwdawson is saying is some of our fans are far too fickle and go way over the top at times like in this case with tav, cut the guy some slack for god's sake, he's performed brilliantly for us in many games this season and fans tend to forget that, of course defending is not tav's strong point and you'll find this deficiency in a lot of the more talented modern day full backs of today.

lwdawson is correct in stating we haven't got the good, fast centre halfs to cover that area when tav is moving forward, trust the manager to fix this and maybe we will see tav playing one position further forward next season just like mcleish did with fernando ricksen!

24 May 2016 12:12:02
Utter garbage- he's been hopeless for the last half of the season. He was immense in early part until he got figured out.

People are rightly having a dig at him, but I guess some people can't accept any criticism.

23 May 2016 23:11:20
Why are people moaning about warburton not comming out and talking bout the match he was prob more concerned bout players and there safety the mans been honest all year when we play bad so he's not dodging it just not the best of times to come talk about the game we know our slack areas am sure he knows aswel am sure he will sign the players required to step up a level and challenged for the league just think back 12 months and the position we were in to now we won 50% off tournaments we entered this season so not a bad season in my opinion.

23 May 2016 21:19:38
With the obvious hatred towards us from virtually every other club in Scotland should the board consider refusing tickets for every away match next season and make Ibrox home supporters only?

It may sound petty or even bitter but why should Rangers fans go to away games and not feel safe, and also why should we line the pockets of these other clubs when they loathe us so much?

Maybe i'm still feeling angry about everything that happened on Saturday, including our teams performance, but something has to be done before someone gets killed. What does everyone else think?

24 May 2016 00:10:55
Boycotting away games would be letting our own players down .
Pity some of the SPL teams don't have the same
dignity or friendliness as all the teams we played
coming up through the divisions .

23 May 2016 20:39:23
STV and, i know, The Scottish Sun, the latest to report Joey Barton has agreed terms (verbally) to sign on a 2 year deal.

Raman tweeted to suggest paperwork to be concluded between tomorrow and Wednesday.

Step in the right direction.

23 May 2016 18:38:39
Anyone think David grey from hibs would be worth a shout as he's been solid for hibs and is the sort of player warbs likes.

23 May 2016 18:49:09
I wouldn't deal with hibs ever again.

23 May 2016 17:05:37
We need a goalkeeper, 1 or 2 centre backs, and a midfielder. Don't forget that 4 players for next season were not playing on Saturday, and Forrester and O'Hallaron will benefit from a full season. Fodderingham is no Woods, Klos or Goram and never will be. We have had some great Goalkeepers in the past.

23 May 2016 20:08:01
Your quite happy with having a full back that can't defend and no cover at that position?

24 May 2016 07:23:54
He's still young he has time to learn, although if we do go for a new right back callum Paterson would be top of my list.

24 May 2016 08:07:06
Cee

If you can't defend by the time you get to his age then u can't defend. If we are going to keep him surely you play him right midfield and get another right back.

23 May 2016 21:30:33
I think foderingham just needs some better competition to make him realise he's not always going to number 1 I think in time he will become a class act for us.

23 May 2016 17:01:45
Joey Barton on Twitter

Been a tough decision, but it now made, onwards and upwards

#rollupandspendyourlastdime#

I would say that things are confirmed now!

23 May 2016 19:45:47
He may just be a huge Roy Orbison fan. ๐Ÿค”. Until he is sitting at ibrox next to MW with a pen in his hand and signing the contract then I'm sorry I just won't believe it. Hope he does sign as he need some steel in the middle of the park.

23 May 2016 16:29:20
Matt gilks been released, good keeper and would be free, may demand a high wage though, thoughts?

23 May 2016 16:55:07
There was talk of him going to Hearts so if true I doubt his wages would be that high.

23 May 2016 16:56:03
I'd take him.

23 May 2016 17:37:39
He'll go to hearts as they have European football and have released Neil Alexander so first choice is up for grabs.

23 May 2016 16:22:17
What are the hopes from the fans for Matt Crooks and Josh Windass?

When we signed Jason Holt at the start I didn't think much would come from him. Has turned out to be the best creative midfielder our team has had throughout most of this season.
Harry Forrester likewise didn't seem like the greatest acquisition at the team but until the injury added a creative spark in midfield and was the best of the winter additions.

There is a lot of promise in Matt Crooks and if he can have a similar impact to Domenic Ball, he would be perfect.
Josh Windass will likely compete with Jason Holt for a creative midfield role and is a very exciting signing.

Add to that the signing of Jordan Rossiter and Joey Barton. What a midfield! Great signings and MW is getting it done quick. Can't wait to see who he and DW and FMcP have up their sleeves for CB and CF.

23 May 2016 18:30:22
Let's be honest Holt is bang average. And forester has had a few decent games.

Fact is holts not going to win us the spl. He wouldn't get near the celtic squad. You have to ask yourself are these guys on par or possibly better than what the Tim's have. the answer with that 2 is no. Yeah I like Holt but at the end of the day he ain't great.

23 May 2016 19:02:31
He did well against them in the semi, may have been one match but that's all we can go on.

23 May 2016 14:54:06
Hopefully Nicky Law, Cammy Bell, David Templeton and Dean Shiels get released today along with Nicky Clark.

23 May 2016 16:54:27
Cammy Bell won't be released still has a year left I think.

23 May 2016 16:56:42
Really sorry to see if didn't work out for Templeton at the club really thought he would have been a standout for the club. If he is released hopefully he finds a club down south and doesn't go to a club in Scotland.

23 May 2016 16:57:20
People always wanting canny bell released. He's a good keeper.

23 May 2016 20:35:31
Think it's more likely Bell will be sold for a modest amount probably in England.

23 May 2016 14:11:26
Will be interesting to see what happens next season with the momentum we are gathering hopefully we can challenge no doubt Celtic will be of a higher standard next season with BR now. I think we could win the league with the right recruitment.

Celtic will have Europe as well if BR attracts bigger players to Celtic it will attract bigger players to us. MW against BR will be great to see both playing attractive football if we take the league he'll be out the door.

23 May 2016 14:24:21
Could be at it know wit he's like ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

23 May 2016 17:03:33
He's needing to get his act together and say Y or N that's what he's like.

23 May 2016 14:10:53
Just like to thank Nicky Clark for his efforts, he was a try'er, I'll give him that, scored a couple of important goals for us as well, but we've moved on now, we're going down a different road these days, in terms of the way we play, new manager in, a better road, but when you come to a club like Rangers, and try your heart out, score a few good goals a long the way, we recognise that, also appricate it, he'll always b welcomed back to ibrox with open arms no matter who he plays for, or even just to come as a fan, all the best Nicky Clark.

23 May 2016 16:03:56
Nice post Colin, I wish him well.

23 May 2016 16:53:19
Very nicely put Colin Macdonald. All the best Nicky boy can see him going to killie.

23 May 2016 13:27:02
Perry Kitchen from Hearts? He's no linked but Warburton should be looking for someone like him, solid in midfield and knows SPL football. Plus he's an American international.

23 May 2016 15:49:57
By the looks of it we may have joey Barton.

23 May 2016 00:14:28
Can David Weir please come out of retirement. We need to sort out our defence, Tav would be better suited pushed up the park. Wilson and Keirnan are not good enough. Warburton must go out and sign Ball, we missed him. I'm hoping Bartley and Beavers are targets. We need defenders who can win a challenge in the air.

23 May 2016 15:48:10
I disagree, they struggle when Tav gets caught out, they lose shape then . I'm not slating Tav either but he's a better forward than defender.

22 May 2016 23:33:21
Check barton's latest tweets!

23 May 2016 15:04:49
I'm assuming after all the slagging off of the Hibs supporters at the weekend that we don't want this publicity seeking person at our club?

23 May 2016 17:03:55
What has the hibs supporters got to do with us signing joey Barton?

23 May 2016 12:28:31
Just read the comments from Jason Cummings in today's Evening Times. Utterly unbelievable. Surely we cannot be thinking of signing this person.

23 May 2016 13:13:21
None of the "peopul" find it strange that there has been no comment from the magic hat, it's that magic it disappeared.
Hrs never short of a comment. Seems the goings on at ft have let him of the hook. Big stubbsy won the managerial match on Saturday.

23 May 2016 13:23:46
I very much doubt we will ever do any business with hibs ever again.

23 May 2016 14:00:28
Think it's shocking he hasn't come out and talked about the game. Really poor management.

23 May 2016 14:39:39
it is not poor management it probably is good management because he does not want to say anything that may hinder the investigation into events and land himself in hot water. when things cool down i am sure well hear from the manager and the club in regards to the game. for now i believe he will be going about his business of building a squad for next season and highlighting the areas that need improvement.

23 May 2016 14:42:29
we should not buy away tickets for easter road for next season. oh wait a minute.

23 May 2016 13:49:18
i was wondering about comments from warburton he cannot be totally absolved from blame. the arsenal boy should not been hooked for shiels and some of the players on loan should have loans terminating end march in case they were needed if not loan extended to end of season in case of injuries.

23 May 2016 14:27:18
Biffo- He was probably advised to say nothing.

23 May 2016 14:58:59
Jamesreilly09

What investigation will it hinder if he only talks about the game? All he needs to say at a press conference is that he will only talk about the game nothing else. Think the support has a right to get his views on the result and the performance.

23 May 2016 15:52:08
I hope Cummings signs he is a goalscorer and will go on to be an international player.

23 May 2016 16:34:06
Stop jumping on the band wagon about our manager. We were poor and that's that. We didn't defend and that's what done us.

23 May 2016 15:50:50
Keeping his own counsel, wise move not bad management.

23 May 2016 21:39:02
biffo the press in this country persist and have ways of getting people to say things they later regret that is why it is best for mark warburton to let things cool down before coming out and speaking to us. i trust him completely and that has not changed because of a bad run of results. i firmly believe he knows that we will need to strengthen next season in all areas and this is something he will address. so i am in no panic that he has not spoke about the weekend and nor should any other fans be.

23 May 2016 21:30:09
Don't think it's a big deal that we haven't heard from warburton, as long as he let's the team know a few home truths that's good enough for me. Why, after the goings on at the weekend, would it be important to hear our manager say we got beat by the better team.

23 May 2016 12:16:27
I think it is time to draw a line under Saturday altogether. The team never played well as a whole and to single out guys like Tav, who were clearly playing through the pain barrier after the season he's had is not the Rangers way. Is everyone forgetting all the goals he has scored that he had no right to as a RB? The stunners against Hibs? His Petrofac final volley? These were all highly important goals that set us on our way for a successful season, and nearly every one was a goal of the season contender.
We lost a Cup final to the better team who on the day were more up for it.
I'm sure when we bring in more quality a lot of this years team will find themselves down the pecking order anyway, but the level criticism is not needed. They won the league, beat Celtic and won the Petrofac cup (which no matter your opinion on this trophy it was the one that eluded us) . This has been a great season, full of great Football by our team. Don't let a few end of season games that meant nothing and a one off Cup final ruin this and turn into unnecessary criticism of the team. We had a tight squad and it wasn't able to finish the season as it started, but the Scottish Cup was always a bonus anyway.
Now the dust has settled I'd like to congratulate every member of the Rangers family from staff/ management/ players/ board and most importantly the fans. To a man you's have done Rangers proud this year and Saturday doesn't change that for me.
Next year we will see a team that is more in line with our high standards, of that I'm sure. But I'll never forget what this group have done, and that is return us to our rightful place. FOLLOW FOLLOW.

23 May 2016 12:44:09
Recbob

I think your getting carried away a little. How do u know Tavernier was playing through the pain barrier as he didn't show it on the occasions he did attack. The goals we lost were poor and we have been losing goals like that all season. Even supporters of Tavernier acknowledge he isn't a defender so why play him at right back? We have won a championship that contained a Hibs side who aren't good enough to be promoted and a Falkirk team thrashed 4-0 by a really poor Kilmarnock team so puts into perspective how good they were. Would also point out that this same Falkirk side were thrashed 7-0 by Ross County in the league cup.

Yes we have achieved our main aim of winning the league however we are way short of challenging Celtic or even Aberdeen or Hearts. As for the final what's really annoying is that Hibs were hungrier, sharper and showed far more desire to win, the team was clearly under prepared and to play Waghorn who was clearly unfit was shocking.

23 May 2016 13:17:12
Well he pulled up and had to carry on, he looked visibly in distress afterwards. Even without that though I think the criticism of him is way over the top. Yes he can improve defensively but so can the whole back 5, and as I said I trust that will sorted. I don't think they all need changed, I think a good CB and CDM will do the trick and also having more players in that position will add competition for places, which has been lacking this year. If I was a RB reading this page I wouldn't want to come here with the fans not appreciating a 15+ FB.
Wallace, Tav and Foz all deserve to be first pick in their respected position next year in my opinion, with people brought in to challenge them. They deserve it, and I'm talking about the entire season not a handful of end of season games.
As for not been ready to challenge Aberdeen and Hearts, that is up to you Biffo but I think we'll be challenging Celtic next year, not they two. Hibs and Rangers both won more than losing against Premiership opposition this year including all those teams you mentioned, the "big 3" haha. We'll be ready.
MW has asked these players brought together in a few weeks to play a style of Football that is hard to master, and to a man they have responded. The ones who can't play the system like Clark, Law and Shields will be replaced with ones who can. Don't let the last few results ruin the good work done, if anything they will be the shot in the arm the Club needs to get the team ready for the SPFL.

23 May 2016 13:29:18
Games over, better side won as much as pains me to say. No point dwelling on it but plenty value in learning from mistakes, something we have failed to do over and over again this season.

Unless we can defend better as a team and vary our tactics then next season will be blighted by the same mistakes.

How many goals have we lost from winning positions, how many times have we been caught on break, how many times do we need to concede from simple crosses or corners BEFORE we learn?

With good recruitment and improved tactics the future can be bright, but if we don't learn from past mistakes it won't be.

23 May 2016 14:08:09
Recbob

You have to remember though we were playing in the 2nd tier of Scottish football. Tavernier isn't the answer at right back and I think he could play further forward. I agree about law, Shiels and Clark however why were they on the bench so much? Would it not have been better to keep Thompson, Murdoch and Hardie and have them on the bench? For me it's this season when Warburton has to be judged and I hope he learns the lessons of this season and gets in a few quality players.

23 May 2016 11:41:43
Our team had a bad day I find it astonishing what fans are saying about this game . just 12 months ago we got humped by Motherwell and we had real doom and gloom, things are on the up we had a bad day but a great season and achieved our mission to get back to the prem.

we will have a better standard of player and depth next season, with more quality we will see how good this passing football will be for us . tav had a poor game but has been a player for us this season I think people should not forget that.

23 May 2016 12:18:08
i tell you what just been on the manky mob site and they are making out as if we were the ones who started the trouble on saturday yet videos are now showing our players being assaulted and spat on may i also add that the fans that entered the pitch from our support are just as bad as the hibs fans there is no place in society for thugs intent on causing trouble. also what has enraged me is people on social media sites asking for retribution towards the hibs fan assaulted lee wallace. let the police and courts deal with him and other troublemakers from the game. i just hope to god that scottish football can somehow recover from this but i doubt somehow it will.

23 May 2016 12:45:44
Jamesreilly09

Who cares what they think? I wouldn't even waste my time going on there sites. There opinions don't matter and will always be biased.

23 May 2016 13:25:54
Unlike our opinions . which are always unbiased and sincere. aye right.

23 May 2016 14:09:50
JohnnyG

The difference is I only post on a Rangers site and don't comment about them unless they are playing against us. I have no interest in commenting on any of their games or about what's happening at the club.

23 May 2016 10:48:21
I was at the game on Saturday. Rangers were shocking from start to finish, the break from end of season to cup final was a major factor.

Also how can we expect to win a game when we let 3 goals in every other match, this has been going on for a few weeks in the previous matches. We will now see over the close season what type of manager MW is, because this issue must be addressed.

As for the pitch invasion, disgusted by it, the aftermath of it being brushed aside makes me sick, no other clubs even coming out to condemn the action of hibs fans, its ok cause it was Rangers on the receive end.

I think it goes to prove once and for all that no one cares for Rangers, we are set apart from the rest of Scottish Football. I am ashamed to actually have to witness the lack of action from anyone over this disgusting act.

Rangers fans should not go anywhere near these other clubs. I would boycott all away matches, we should hold events at Ibrox every away match and put the money into our club week in week out let's turn our back on Scottish football the way they are turning their back on us. I hate the SFA and everything they stand for, players should tell Strachan to ram the caps on offer! This is now the end of the line!

23 May 2016 10:58:50
M3lvo. very true. if this happend to any other club, they would be in uproar. because its us, no won bats an eyelid. its down to sheer jealousy. kicked down to the bottom and came back. they can't handle it. feel sorry for the decent supporters of these clubs, as its the haters that shout the loudest.

23 May 2016 12:48:32
M3LV0

The truest sentence on here for a long time about seeing what Warburton is made of during the close season. I have said all season I feel he can only be judged when we go up and have received a fair amount of abuse.

23 May 2016 16:14:06
Great post, the hatred towards rangers is unreal, they really are jealous, even rod petrie hasn't phoned our board and he's second in command at the sfa, no one likes us. never a truer sentence.

23 May 2016 10:42:23
I think we can all agree without question on the day hibs were a better team and in the end deserved the win, and if it had been us with that long a wait for the trophy we would have ran on and yes maybe stole abit of turf.
However goading fans and attacking players in any shape or form has to be dealt with. Any one caught fighting rival fans in the park whether us or them should be given a full 1 year stadium ban. Anyone attacking stewards/ players/ coaches/ police should be given a life ban. All plus criminal charges
As for hibs, action is need to. I think the best we can expect is a scottish cup ban for next year.
I also expect Petrie for his shocking comments, to be offered the chance to step down from the sfa and if its true about steven mclean being stuck in the centre circle trying to protect halliday then that man needs a pay rise.
I hope sfa and police scotland allow the public to see there report on the incident aswell.

23 May 2016 12:49:41
I think a fine and the next home Scottish cup tie to be played behind closed doors is the most they will get.

23 May 2016 10:24:27
Surely we have to forget Barton and invest the wages/ signing fee we would've given to him on a top quality centre back.

23 May 2016 10:02:21
This whole Joey Barton thing is going on far too long. Joey it's time to make a decision. This is Rangers, the most successful club in the world. No man is bigger than this club so either sign or walk away.

23 May 2016 10:18:55
It's not about the size of a club, the wage offered, or any other circumstance. he needs to think about his family. he can't just go we are moving to Glasgow for 2 years, it's unfair on his family, it's a joint decision.

23 May 2016 12:33:32
Excpect an anoncement in the next 48-72hrs saying Barton signed for gers, deal is being thrashed through as we speak, Burnley are trying to pull the plug on the deal for him joining gers by willing now to offer him a 2 year deal instead of 1 only thing that Could change bartons mind but Deal is basically over the line, welcome aboard barton one of the people, #.

23 May 2016 09:15:03
I seriously wonder if some of the posters here actually watched the game. Sure, we're all entitled to our opinions but some of the criticism directed at players is off the scale. Foderingham made some crucial saves, McKay didn't play badly, he hardly got the ball and wasn't given free reign to move to the right or middle, Zelalem was our calmest player in possession of the ball and controlled much of the midfield and Wilson made Cummings look like a very poor player.

I agree Kiernan was shocking and Waghorn totally ineffectual and Halliday spends too much time on the ball before getting a pass off but I'll cut Tavernier some slack due to the blow he took to his knee early in the game and played in a lot of pain.

The learning that needs to be done and never is, is squarely in the hands of our coach and his policy of substitutions. We've seen it many times this season and have snatched the proverbial defeat from the jaws of victory because of it. His insistence to play Shiels, his 34th sub appearance of the season on Saturday, has left me with more questions than answers. Like Falkirk's Peter Houston did against us, Stubbs won the touchline battle with his use of subs. We'll learn from it.

23 May 2016 09:41:13
K, fraser, Rangers never turned up, well apart from kenny miller, it happens in football all the time, we just picked the wrong game to do it, sorry but our defence is shocking and if we don't fix it, were in trouble, but we're back in the premiership so our target was achieved.

23 May 2016 10:11:31
I would tend to agree with most of that Kfraser but McKay was non existent. I would have had him off for Law and I don't really rate Law.

I would also say I believe Holt didn't turn up and the midfield battle was lost before the game started due to our players still on holiday from their 3 week break.

Tav I can't cut slack because he is grown man. A man grown in a cup final. If adrenaline can't drive a grown man in a cup final to dig deep and find something then I give up on sport. I have seen athletes carry on during sport with broken bones and ligament tears so please do not provide an excuse for inexcusable defending.

23 May 2016 10:48:09
To make excuses for Tavernier is frankly laughable. He isn't an 8 year old schoolboy wanting to get out of gym class he is a grown man. If u watched the game u will see he didn't seem bothered with his knee of the few ocasions he did go forward. Bottom line he can't defend and not for the first time he was culpable for goals conceded. Overall the team wasn't prepared for the game, Waghorn was clearly not fit and Hibs were hungrier, quicker and far better on the day.

I posted after the game that I thought Zelalem was very good indeed so I don't know why he gets pelters on here and why Warburton took him off to replace him with Shiels! I'd have him back in the team next season if Arsenal release him again. We missed Ball and Forrester and I'm sure O'Halloran could have made an impact if he hadn't been cup-tied. I also agree with the poster who said Wilson had a good game. Replace Keirnan with an experienced CB and that could work.

23 May 2016 12:54:23
Agree with the comments about Shiels. 34 substitute appearances all season and I can't think of a game he actually did anything in. Don't see the point of playing the likes of Law, Shiels and Clark when they know they won't be getting a new contract and will be gone. Far better to have kept the likes of Murdoch, Thompson and Hardie and had them on the bench to come on. I'm sure Murdoch would have been happy with 34 substitute appearances and would have been far better than Shiels.

I was at the game and the criticism is NOT off the scale. The players were shocking, 2nd to every ball, gave hibs too much space, and the defending abysmal. And if MW say's we will learn from it then he's kidding himself. All season the frailties have been evident but did he get an experienced Cb or Gk in January? No, he went for more attackers. Give me strength.

We need a Gk cb's and cm's that will take control not ship 3 goals every game. Pathetic and embarrassing. Granted we achieved what our aim was, we have stability in the club, warbs had 6 wks to sort the team pre season. We can't start the prem with that squad except maybe 3 or 4. Dig deep Mr king, big changes needed.

I have just heard the SFA are going to sack Regan for another screw up, dump Petrie for his apologist crap, take the European place off Hibs and give it to us.
HOWEVER the other voices in my head say the will work hard to blame someone else and in the end do nothing.

23 May 2016 09:28:09
I genuinely believe their European spot should be taken off them and given to 4th in the SPFL. that would be a very strong punishment that would lay a marker down.

23 May 2016 10:12:57
Yes those players deserve to lose their opportunity because of a few yobs. Not condoning anything but I've witnessed rangers fans do worse over the years. Let's move on.

23 May 2016 10:40:21
Ur write beau, it's not the players fault but the response from hibs as a club is disgusting, now I'm dreading the next time the teams play.

23 May 2016 11:50:10
Beau Rangers were kicked out of Europe after 72. Wasn't the players faults tho? It doesn't matter. We sing songs club is punished the same should go for hibs, fans misbehave club should be punished. Also it does put a marker down and would stop further events from happening.

23 May 2016 12:56:05
I cannot believe people are taking about kicking Hibs out of Europe. Are we that bitter that we want that? They will get a fine and maybe a match or 2 behind closed doors but that will be that.

23 May 2016 09:02:23
Hopefully Joey Barton signs today been dragging on a bit. I did see his tweet with the hash tag.

23 May 2016 09:30:09
Hope so as well john-rangersfc, although he's strongly hinting through his tweet that he's on his way to sign for us it means nothing until he hopefully signs and like you this can't drag on and one way or another should be decided by the end of the week at the very latest.

23 May 2016 08:36:00
I congratulated hibs on sat for winning the cup, i wish i never, hibs haven't had the courage to phone the club to apologise for our players being assaulted, could you imagine the media and papers if rangers or Celtic fans done what hibs fans done.
Something better get done to hibs, I hope they get hammered, but I'm not holding my breath.

23 May 2016 10:30:43
Be careful what you wish for and keep in mind our supporters were no angels either, so could be handed a similar punishment.

23 May 2016 08:16:42
I don't know what Warburton's budget is for next season in terms of transfer fees and wages but I wonder if getting Hutton and Naismith back would be viable? Hutton is a right back with bags of experience though I know he is far from perfect. Naismith is a good goalscorer and can sit off the main striker. Both these players' clubs have been relegated. Tavernier could then move into right midfield. And what has happened to Gasporotto? Isn't he supposed to be a very promising centre back? Get young Hardie back too and start playing him. I'd also keep Kenny Miller for at least one more year even if we use him sparingly. I don't know what Windass, Crooks and Rossiter will bring to the side but I do know what Hutton and Naismith would do. Thoughts fellow Bears?

23 May 2016 08:30:59
Naismith worth 8 million get real.

23 May 2016 08:39:10
Doiger whatever you are on this morning I'd love a bit of it.

23 May 2016 09:01:22
Why do u want Naismith back? Even if we could afford him. This is a man who not only deserted us he had the audacity to hold a press conference and say we were no more. Plenty of people on this site have slated the other lot from the east end from saying that but seem willing to let a supposed fan of the club say the same thing and welcome him back.

23 May 2016 09:15:10
Gasparatto was released at end of season.

23 May 2016 10:14:49
Biffo if I had the chance to get Naismith back I would. He would be the best player in the SPL and no amount of bitterness towards a player would stop me from wanting Rangers to sign the best available player we can get.

Having said that he is out of our league and will move back to the EPL in my opinion.

23 May 2016 10:45:51
Its my 65th birthday today so have been on the sauce earlier than usual lol. Just thought I'd throw a firecracker in the middle to see what the reaction was!

23 May 2016 09:32:44
Steven naismith can stay at norwich, he should never be near ibrox ever again.

23 May 2016 07:52:42
What were Cosgrove's comments. Never heard them but seen a few guys on here mention them.

23 May 2016 06:48:01
I have not heard any news from any source

1) are all our players and coaching staff ok?

2) is Warburton and weir ok or are they leaving to go back to England?

3) note BBC Tom English writes we "invite" abuse?

What are we coming to in Scotland when main stream media say it's the victim's fault.

23 May 2016 07:51:26
Tom english retracted last night on sportscene and blamed hibs, i do agree it has went very slient.
