Fellow bears

I see Alan Stubbs says Scot Allen wanted to go to Rangers but Hibs wouldn't sell to us, I think he's young enough and could do a job for us and stick 2 fingers up at the TIC if we could get him and he done a job for us. Or am I out of touch and he only on loan ATM? By the way fingers crossed we can get a centre half with pace and creative midfielder in transfer window, if wee Barry goes then the afore mentioned and a striker (don't mind Garner but he ain't a goal scorer) . Lastly I would take Hodson over Tav in defence hope he stays in team.

23 Jan 2017 23:04:49
He's on loan mate, if they release him i might be tempted as he was a crackin player but our midfield is overrun just now, would say it would stick in my throat though because all he had to do was stay and run his contract out instead he chased the cash as he has done before

23 Jan 2017 23:09:27
I'm sure Allan is on loan, plus he can't get off the bench for that lot and that isn't what we need.

Agree about the striker and Hodson. 👍

23 Jan 2017 23:34:52
Cracking player my backside, he's bang average at best and he did the dirty on us as well when he signed for the mhankies. All he had to do was bide his time for a few months to become a Rangers player and he took the green coin instead. I'll never go near Ibrox again if we start signing the likes of Allan.

24 Jan 2017 06:08:33
firstly this person is not near good enough, and second you should only get 1 chance to sign with the gers. they backed the wrong horse! he could have seen his contract out but no.

24 Jan 2017 07:08:24
I kind of feel for Allen I think when he tried to force a move he made his position with hibs untenable. Hibs just did not want to do business with us and he'd either have been hate by his own fans for the rest of the season or left to rot on the sidelines. I know that's how it turned out for him in the long run anyway. but he probably just needed out of hibs asap

24 Jan 2017 08:24:59
He would've been good in the championship and a descent player to have this year but he's not good enough to play in front of Holt, windass etc.

24 Jan 2017 12:47:38
Love him or hate him, he has much more technical ability than any Rangers midfielder currently in the squad ( excluding Krankjer and the 2 loans ) .

He's been badly advised and is perhaps a mercenary. I would sign him if possible however.

24 Jan 2017 13:26:39
Scott Allan was obviously very badly advised by Both Stubbs and Lawell. You can tart it up any way you like but what would seem like pure BS about opportunities etc to an open minded mature adult seemed to be the way forward to a young boy as he was chasing a dream of becoming a wealthy footballer. In the end he has to accept he was duped. But I wouldn't believe a word that comes out Stubbs mouth. He knew he would rot at Celtic and he encouraged Allan to steer away from a move to Rangers. He looks at his decaying career and tries to shift the blame to Rod Petrie. Not on.

24 Jan 2017 13:58:40
Scott Allan professed to be a gers fan. Well I think most gers fans would have told hibs to stick it and seen his contract out. Sit out contract for 6months to get move to your fav team is a no brainier for me. he's made his bed.

24 Jan 2017 15:00:00
naw mate no chance the wee bert and danny should have waited half a season and joined us then if he wanted to that badly .
I don't think he is any better than championship; quality anyways and we have better in the middle of the park the now, especially since Hyndman joined I think he looks like a good player

23 Jan 2017 21:57:36
Has anyone heard anything regarding our legendary manager walter smith? There's stories going around that sir walter had collapsed while visiting his grandkid. Hope to god if this is true, that everything is OK!

24 Jan 2017 16:07:27
Nice to see 3 animals disagree, there really is some sad people out there

24 Jan 2017 16:07:27

Nice to see 3 animals disagree, there really is some sad people out there

24 Jan 2017 22:01:14
Lets hope Sir Walter is ok, once in a generation manager. Total class and a true Rangers man

23 Jan 2017 18:17:08
was a bit mifed as to why we went back to 433 at least 352 we could get 2 strikers working on a partnership and maybe have more bodies in box when we are going foreward

23 Jan 2017 19:02:49
We coukdbt play 3 at the back because wilson is injured

23 Jan 2017 19:03:45
Miller with Dodoo would undoubtedly bring goals but it will only happen if ones on the wing unfortunately. Not a real strike partnership in my eyes because the pressure applied on our wings usually find it's way back to the central midfield area if not deeper rather than into the box to link up with a strike partner. We need whippets on the wing with only a forward gear, no neutral or reverse. The ball always seems to have a boomerang effect ending up back to Clint, Rob or Wes.

24 Jan 2017 08:25:33
We need a striker because the 2 you mentioned are Colin Nish.

24 Jan 2017 16:11:15
Miller is far from pish as you say, and dodoo hasn't had a proper chance yet cee, not played properly through the middle

23 Jan 2017 18:06:51
Anyone think we should try coulibaly for a pre contract deal for the summer. Someone who could add some real threat to our scarce strike rate. ideas?

23 Jan 2017 19:14:12
Theres teams bidding on him just now Wall84. The bidding sitting at £750K. doubt Killie will patch cash offers for a pre contract agreement. Beside we couldn't offer anywhere near what their already at? And why would we offer the money now for a pre contract? Surely if we had the money (which we don't) we would want him now rather than in 6 months time?

23 Jan 2017 15:51:33
We're all continually on here stating we need a striker, so here's the poser i'll throw out there to you all. If we were to sign one of these strikers, who could all do a job for us, which striker would you want us to sign, liam boyce, couibaly or louis moult? My preference would be moult, everyday of the week!

23 Jan 2017 16:15:36
Prob rather give dodoo a proper run through the middle, but totally get your point, and moult does look like goal scorer coop

23 Jan 2017 17:12:43
Moult or Boyce for me prob lean towards Boyce he's done it consistently up here for a few years, however I'd be perfectly happy with moult been impressed any time I've saw him

23 Jan 2017 17:18:18
Supercoop. he's had a decent season thus far, however we need better quality than Moult If being honest if we want to challenge. Do you think he's any better than Miller or garner? I don't think so.

23 Jan 2017 17:25:33
None of those 3 - I'd rather have Cummings -

23 Jan 2017 17:52:43
Wouldn't want any of them mate. Moult is the best of that 3 but none of them are Rangers class and Kenny Miller at 37 is better than them all

23 Jan 2017 17:59:44
Wont be couabily he just signed for an egyptian side for a million quid

23 Jan 2017 19:23:08
Was impressed with moult but if we were signing a striker I would want Matt Taylor think he would be good for 20-25 goals a season.

23 Jan 2017 19:42:50
Jason Cummings is the boy we need. Everybody on here wants hardie a chance when he can't buy a goal in the same league as Cummings. Moults bang average and not as good as garner miller or waghorn.

23 Jan 2017 19:35:51
If i had to pick it would be moult hands down 1 of best in our league. but out of our league as we cannot afford him imo. We could sweeten this with a carrot being moh for moult hmmm. thoughts lads?

23 Jan 2017 19:44:23
Would rather sign Cummings who we should have made a move for instead of garner or give dodoo a run but with a partner.

23 Jan 2017 19:50:18
I'd like to see Cummings at Rangers. Elsewhere Nicholson and Soutar from Hearts would be great signings and straight into the starting 11. All have the potential to play for Scotland. I mean a strong Scotland team of the future.

23 Jan 2017 20:24:42
Jaws i do agree with you regarding matty taylor the bristol rovers striker! He would score a barrowload of goals up here! I think leeds utd and aston villa are keen on him also.

24 jan 2017 21:06:40
we are thinking of moult and boyce to improve oue squad? really?
i just don't get it!

me personally i'd rather improve my team and getting players like that is just not helping especially when we have better at the moment and they can't do what we need them to and score for fun which being honest guys isn't that difficult up here anyone worth their wage should be able to score up here more than what we are doing.

and to u other guys that will say we don't get the service i disagree we do get the service have done most of the season just the forwards don't really have that goalscorer in the kenny miller being the guy that likes to lay off to other strikers and is not the best finisher yet is the best at our club

23 Jan 2017 15:42:53
Was at the youth cup game at ibrox and a few boys impressed me young lad josh jeffries was excellent as was myles beerman but billy gilmour was a stand out the boy is different class let's hope he stays at rangers to develop his career.

23 Jan 2017 16:12:47
As I said we have some really good under 17s coming through the club.

23 Jan 2017 19:43:35
The most impressive thing was that every single player in the team was under the under 20s limit.

23 Jan 2017 14:31:22
Anyone else notice the new guy toral looks very sluggish? I recon senderos would out run him. We need guys who got pace

23 Jan 2017 14:46:20
God he has played in one game and he isn't what you want get a grip

23 Jan 2017 14:51:30
Probably had green boots on eh?

23 Jan 2017 15:25:36
Aye like Andy the rangers fan

23 Jan 2017 15:41:20
Will take him a little bit of time to get up to speed give the lad a chance

23 Jan 2017 16:11:43
What a post that is lol.
Give the guy a chance. do you know what, if it works out, then great, but if it doesn't then we haven't lost that much, so imo because we're skint it works for both parties

23 Jan 2017 17:14:30
He's not played much this season will need a few games to get up to pace, he'll come good done well in championship which is a much higher standard than spl

23 Jan 2017 17:29:04
Apart from pace we need players who can actually find a teammate with a pass!

24 Jan 2017 21:10:02
he is to be another play maker like niko who isn't the quickest but his passes through to the striker are what mekes him a good loan deal that's if he plays like he can

23 Jan 2017 11:43:59
I just thought I would post this but rangers have some very good youngsters coming through Murray park at the moment, our under 17s are a very good side, I believe that this is because of mark warburton and Craig mulholland who have totally transformed our academy in the last 18 months, and imo the next 3/ 4yrs we will have several in our first team squad.

23 Jan 2017 15:15:14
You've got a very valid point Delboy1979! Said on here before that there's superb, unseen work going on behind the scenes, that will bear fruit for us, in several years time! The next manager will come into a club that has a superb infrastructure all built and will get the benefit of the hard work going on behind the scenes, by our management team! When mark warburton does eventually leave as rangers manager only then will we see the terrific job he'll have done!

23 Jan 2017 16:08:57
Couldn't agree more coop, our under 20s if I was taking a guess I would believe it to be one of the youngest in the league, we have a very young under 20 side at the minute, and like you I can see the work that warburton and his coaching team at Murray park are doing some great work at the minute and I really do believe in 3/ 4 hrs we will have several in our first team squad, but that's if we manage to keep hold of them.

23 Jan 2017 17:49:29
God knows what they're feeding them at Auchenhowie if they will be ready in 3/ 4 hours 😂

23 Jan 2017 09:43:07
This "one more if they become available" I thought had to be either Diego Fabbrini, Jota or Rushian Hepburn-Murphy. Fabbrini was confirmed to have returned to Italy for talks yesterday so that rules him out with Jota returning to Brentford, and Hepburn-Murphy keeps hinting at signing a new deal at Villa. Ali Crawford and Craig Sibbald would require cash fees. Who else is likely? I get the feeling the window will pass with no further additions if not maybe just pre contract signing for the summer.

23 Jan 2017 10:25:51
Canny see anyone else coming in. The only way that would happen, and Warburton hinted to it, is if Barrie Mckay goes and we get the money there talking. He said nobody's going unless he gets a replacement. Look into that how you will. A replacement for Mckay in the shape of Hepburn Murphy? No so sure.

23 Jan 2017 11:33:48
Unfortunately we just don't have the money to get more players in, I will be very surprised if we get anymore

23 Jan 2017 13:12:48
The move I'm referring to would be a loan. I think Warburton would go for a winger, letting O'Halloran go out the other way to play regularly. He clearly knows who it would be as he has stated another one will come in if he becomes available. DK said in the summer that money would be made available to Warbs in January. This is most likely to be a small amount for a compensation fee to sign a young player on a pre contract i. e. Sibbald or Hepburn-Murphy. So either a loan or a young talent to be brought on after the summer break. Might decide against either if he feels the deal is not right for both parties.

23 Jan 2017 13:38:27
I agree with you keep believing, and your spot on King did say money would be made available for Jan but somehow I can't see it happening though, even though we let crooks go out on loan, and we have freed up the Barton wage, so it's a strange one, as even though we don't have much money, I really think now is the time to get players in, even if we could have spent some of the summer budget just now, because I would have thought now is the time to bed new players in, or we will just be in the same position this summer as last, witch is a bit of a gamble if we want to get into the Europa league

23 Jan 2017 14:21:18
Is that chap Diagouraga not been made available by Leeds again? I seem to remember Warburton was quite keen on him before he moved to Leeds?

23 Jan 2017 14:34:41
a lot of celtic fans saying barrie not worth 6 yet byt using their dembelle calculator he should be around the 25 million mark. lmao

I said it last year and the beginning of this season that he will be a 10 nmillion pound payer in a season or two

23 Jan 2017 16:14:22
He snubbed us for Leeds because they offered him £28,000 a week. I thought he might have been a player, but reading some of Gary Monk's comments on him I'd stay well clear now. Lazy in training and surplus to requirements. This guy is probably the reason why Steve Evans is now managing Mansfield Town. That or not being able to get through the turnstiles at Elland Road.

23 Jan 2017 16:48:26
Say he left for the EPL in this window for around £3.5m The thing that would annoy us the most would be the fact whoever bought him would then sell him for around £12m-£15m six months to a year later. We would probably make another million to tbf but we're left pondering what might have been. Gattuso, Adam etc might never have been the same players if they never made their moves when they did.

23 Jan 2017 19:44:29
Tony watt?

23 Jan 2017 20:29:06
What about tony watt, cee?

23 Jan 2017 09:36:46
A few players here that we could get for free, that I believe would improve our squad in the correct positions.

Adam Thompson - 24 years old CB
Ben Turner - 28 years old CB
Ryan Leonard - 24 years old CDM
Yaser Kasim - 25 years old CM/ CDM
Marley Watkins - 26 years old ST/ CF

Each of these players should be affordable wage wise. Watkins should be the highest paid player and last time I checked Barnsley had a relatively small wage budget of £9mil, so I don't see the lad being on anything more than 10k per week. I'm not saying we should get all 5 but 3 of these players would no doubt improve our squad.

Kasim to replace halliday, no offense to him but he isn't a player to take us forward, he likes to think he is Barry Ferguson at times, far to many back passes and not brave enough to pass forward.

Adam Thompson or Turner would be a good replacement for Kiernan or Hill, Infact we could get both and let Hill retire?

Marley Watkins is doing well at Barnsley 6 goals and 8 assists, Barnsley are doing well so I don't see us getting Watkins but I still reckon he is a player we should be pushing for, the possibility of Europa League football could be the decider.

Ryan Leonard is a decent no nonsense type of holding mid, he's fast, strong and quite a tall lad.

23 Jan 2017 14:38:22
no offense mate but halliday is a good player and one i'd like to see stick around and get a chance at playing in his natural position .

saying he isn't the man for the job when he isn't getting a shout in his own position is Ludacris .

we have all seen how well he plays in the attacking side of the game but when he has to sit back he is not good enough ill agree but he should have a chance to get his own position back

23 Jan 2017 16:38:54
Completely disagree james, yeah sure he is out of position, but being out of position doesn't make you make ridiculous decisions. he is 25 years old, he shouldn't make some of the pathetic mistakes he makes, he loses the ball and his passing is bloody shocking. He was once a left back, surely he should be capable of a decent tackle, you say he should be put into a more attacking position, yet he can't pass the ball forward?! I'd rather have a decent player instead of the Halliday, I wonder when the whole "I'm a rangers man" and "I was born in the Copland" patter will die off. Halliday isn't a player we need going forward.

23 Jan 2017 19:45:23
Ridiculous mistakes? What about the mistakes miller made at 37? Absolutely dreadful distribution from a man treated like a God on here.

23 Jan 2017 20:32:51
I just don't get you cee and probably never will! What the hell are you all about? Honestly mate, some of your comments are like somebody from another universe!

24 Jan 2017 00:29:59
He's clearly one of these guys who can't get over the fact miller played wae celtic. Only thing I can think of what more do you want fae him cee he's carried us this season without him wed be about 7th or 8th in league

23 Jan 2017 09:28:23
Do we think MW has given up on short corners. They were almost compulsory for 18 months but have been rather scarce lately.

23 Jan 2017 09:38:36
Well Hill and Kiernan are both good at attacking the ball so you can see why he wants to put it in the box, although I've noticed Miller trying to get Mckay and Wallace to take short corners recently, which usually results in 1 being taken and then Wallace ignoring Miller after that.

23 Jan 2017 12:12:41
I don't think he's giving up on them, I just think at times he told them to be more direct
