think both sets of fans will like this:its a guy from down south comes upto glasgow to see the whole celtic/rangers rivalry.IMO guy calls it down the middle.

youtube.its 45 min long though but worth it:
football's most dangerous rivalry

Lenny

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Cheers for that Lenny. Definitely worth watching, if only to see what both sides could do without. Then again I haven't lived in Glasgow since I was a kid and I haven't worked there in over a decade either. I might have had a different take on it otherwise.

Brian

p.s. Merry Christmas and all the best, one and all, when it comes.

The rantings of of a so called business man ,does he not know when you buy a ticket ,you pay by bank card ,and they have your details ,so I don't think Mr green, should come out with stupid comments about fans causing trouble, real fans want to support their team

Believable37 Unbelievable21

Ur the one that's ranting, your no gers fan as we know there is bad blood over DU and green is right.

Agree19 Disagree37

Mate making a statement on behalf of your club is not a rant.

Agree19 Disagree28

I think anybody that goes is asking for trouble. Feelings are running high and I fear problems.

Agree17 Disagree11

So its not possible to pay in cash...

Agree10 Disagree2

It's a new low. The guy's a defo temp.
get him out ASAP.

Agree12 Disagree2

There has been an increase of Internet Trolls recently posing as Rangers supporters, so he has got a point. It's good that he sticks up for the club, but Charlie needs to get somebody else to release statements. Peace everybody!

Agree4 Disagree9

Tbh I only really care about how we do on the park, Yeah Green talks **** but so do most chairmen.

and we are doing very nice atm.

Agree3 Disagree6

Green is at his rantings again he is stirring up trouble again which will only come back to bite us at some time later. His comments about a club with no debt and lots of cash for transfers, trying to alienate other clubs by his rants that he doesn't know where Celtic Park is ( I suppose he maybe doesn't because of his greed he denied us and himself the chance to be playing there now ) and his comments on the United situation don't help, no matter that some of our fans have a grudge against them and rightlyso, it is every fans right to go and support our team if we wish to, the team needs our support. Those that don't wish to go needn't go I for one want to and won't be dictated by him. Greens attitude to get all the bears on board his money making machine will only alienate us from the
rest of decent supporters. As the New Year comes round lets try and heal some of the damage that is ruining Scottish Football and I mean this from all sides. Finally I wish all the Bears, indeed every genuine fan no matter which team the support a merry Christmas and a good and prosperous New Year. ( That includes Charles Green )

having read green's statement in the paper today, i am genuinely worried of what will happen at tannadice. why does he continue to make statements like this?! with the mentality of some fans, this will only give them the 'green light' to riot.

please, green, please stop inciting hate. don't you think scottish football has seen enough of this? i said weeks ago that i foresee riots and stand by my statement. green is going to kill rangers

Believable44 Unbelievable28

Dont you think it was highly irresponaible fot DU to open there ground to unregulated fans . I can now see some of rhe great unwashed getting tickets. I would like to know what the police reaction to this is.

Agree20 Disagree31

Sorry but people have to take responsibility for their own actions and not what Green may say. If there is any trouble at any football ground it's down to the individuals involved and not what people have said before.

Agree18 Disagree27

I don't think it's irresponsible of them to sell the tickets. plenty of people on here were moaning coz they wanted to go.
green knows what you lot are like so now hes putting the blame of trouble on DU and all the 'fake fans in rangers tops'. take a look at rangers media and follow follow and youll see how many of your 'true fans' are planning trouble. i hope the police monitor these sites as the stuff said on there is shocking

Im going to match with rest mates, have nothing against utd fans or their team.
Charles Green does not speak for all Rangers fans never has never will, the man knows nothing about football up here just plays up to the people we have.
Green knows there is going to be large Rangers support at Tannadice and doesnt like being made to look an person (again). I urge all true blues to go support our team, because next round we will be getting the other lot and what we going to do then? not go? ye rite CHARLES,,, GET A GRIP and get back to Yorkshire and ruin another club there

Agree34 Disagree23

DU tried desperatly to get the club I have supported for 40 years shut down . I still , along with thousands of RFC fans still resent DU chairman and fans. It was fans groups that refused to buy tickets not CG so get your facts right . We will go to tannadice but will be outside making noise and letting our team know we are threr .

Agree20 Disagree31

Why dont you give cg a break if he didnt buy the club we wouldnt be playing anybody ever again ,and at least he sticks up for the club and says it as it is ,nobody else had the balls to put up the money,if you dont like what he does well dont go back to ibrox and let the rest of us support the club in peace,

Agree10 Disagree24

We want your team shut down ..you gonna boycott us . i hope so .. ffs put away your petted lips and grow up .. shammy

Agree26 Disagree7

@4. Can you enlighten me please. How has green ruined rangers?

Agree3 Disagree8

24 Dec 2012 01:22:59
#5 if you and so many other fans stand outside making noise, I doubt it will end well. There is no way the police will allow it for a start. What then? Violence?are you taking your children to 'stand outside and make noise' or would you be fearful of their safety ?

Agree8 Disagree0

@8: if you read the post properly, there's no mention of ruining Rangers. The reference to going back to Yorkshire to ruin another club there is about Sheffield Utd.

Agree5 Disagree0

@10 fair point it doesn't actually mention ruining rangers but you.can see how it can be confusing. Some may say ruin another club there as opposed to ruin rangers . ? Anyhow apologies on my part.

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry if my statement confused a bit , yes i did mean Sheffield that Green ruined ? not us! he hasnt had time for that yet? i hope.....??although he seems to be working on it with his constnat drivel..
Time to change the record and stop moaning were picked upon etc ...lets start becoming a force in Scottish Football again without the "they and us nonsense".
It was Mr Murray and his directors that started ruining our club as well Whyte etc near the end..so lets stop the blame crap,,and just get back to the top where we belong. As for boycotts and pickets ?do you really want to be told to fek off by your own supporters? because thats what il be telling you to do...in a most gentleman fashion of course.

Agree4 Disagree1

@5, explain how DU tried to shut down "your" club? People like you should not be allowed to follow any sporting team!
Please explain how it is "your" team? It is the team you supposedly support! Seriously the way idiots like you are taking all this so personally is absolutely f..king rediculous! You want to grow up and stop acting like a spoilt brat!

Agree5 Disagree1

13. He said it was 'our team' (as in Rangers fans, the clue is in big writing at the top of the page) not his own personal team, get a grip and stop being so obtuse. It is personal to Rangers fans as we could have been left with no team to support. Whyte's refusal to pay the taxman is indefensible but do some research on Thompson's (and Houston's) statements from a few months ago, they were hardly objective themselves and like everybody else they had lumped all sorts of different things together (EBT's -cleared, dual contracts - still to be proven, etc) prior to the verdict and concluded guilty. They were far and away the most vocal representatives of an SPL club to have a go and there is previous between Thompson and our supporters in addition. I am not in favour of the boycott or Green making the decision he did but I can understand and would support any fan who chooses not to go. I for one won't be there.

Brian

p.s. having read both your posts again only one sounds like the rantings of an immature spoilt brat - I will give you a clue, it isn't poster 5.

Agree1 Disagree2

@14 Brian you were not cleared on all of the EBT's,as for not going, I am surprised to hear you saying that, thought you were one of the sensible bear's and supported the team where ever they played. Hey ho each to their own, Merry Christmas one and all, you too Brian lol.
Tam

Agree4 Disagree0

Tam. We weren't found guilty is the point I was making but I know I can count on you to pick up any linguistic malpractice on my part, lol. I can't afford that many away games, nothing more in it than that - although if I did go I wouldn't spend a jot inside or around the stadium as a point of principle. As I said, I don't approve of the boycott but I won't tell other fans they are wrong for supporting it either, it didn't do the supporters of the SPL clubs any harm when they threatened to withhold their season ticket money earlier this season on a point of principle. It's their money and they can spend it how they like. Hope you have a good one too mate.

I cannot believe the stick that Ian
Black is receiving from so called bluenoses.
The guy is an internationalist, albeit only
Scottish, he won the cup last season
in a decent Hearts team and could have
easily opted for something more gamourous
with regards to playing in a better
league or higher wages. To his immense
credit he has jumped at the chance to
play for his boyhood heroes in case the
opportunity didn't arise again. I'm sure
that Black would be the first to admit
that he isn't the most silky of players
and possibly lacks the finesse of some,
but what he gives is his all in a blue
jersey and what more can you ask.
Compare that to someone like Andy
Gray for instance who 20 years ago or
so came to Ibrox as a mid to late 30s
hasbeen proclaiming that he has always
loved the Rangers. Oh really Andy is that
why you went to England for mega coin
when you were offered a contract at
Rangers. The point I am trying to make is
Black had the chance to go elsewhere
but at the first chance he had to play
for Rangers he took it regardless of
what else was on offer. Looking forward
to seeing you back in the team Ian.

chance to go elsewhere??? no one wanted him he was struggling to get a club...but a good signing for you although you could have prob got him for a little less wages if he was such a big fan and desperate to play for his boyhood heroes////

Agree10 Disagree11

What a dreamer."opted for something more glamorous" He had been offered nothing, his agent said so. "boyhood heroes"? Are you having a laugh. In fact are you Ian Black?

Agree9 Disagree10

Don't understand why you're having a go at Andy Gray who is a Gers man and ten times the player Ian Black is. He was a British record transfer fee and became English Player of the Year winning many honours, what's wrong with that?

And can you please tell me all these teams that were in for Black? Man City? Real? Bayern? Anybody?

Agree9 Disagree5

Sorry Ian we will leave u alone till ur next dreadful performance.

Agree7 Disagree5

Ian black wanted to play for the biggest club in scotland and who can blame him

Agree10 Disagree8

What a waste of the biggest paragrah I have ever seen and why pick on Andy Gray?

Agree9 Disagree1

To an extent I do agree with the OP it's pointless having a go at him. I admit he hasn't set the Heather on fire and has been poor in a few games but I don't think you can fault him for effort. I still think he will be a good addition to the team in it's current situation and it serves no purpose to have a go at him. Wrong though about Gray he has always been a Gers man and I thought he did us a turn when he signed for us

Agree6 Disagree2

At 5). I didn't know the biggest team in Scotland played in 4th tier . Only took 160 days to become biggest team. . Congrats

Agree8 Disagree9

Biggest team in Scotland is Celtic mate hate to burst your blue bubble.

The rangers international FC - making the papers for boycotts to Dundee utd & a share issue

Celtic FC - talking of transfer fees around 10m + for just one midfielder.talk about us beating barca.us playing in the champions league

Rest my case

Lenny

Agree8 Disagree17

Yes talk of transfers, but no transfers as for boycotts wasnt it in the paper how the celtic loyal gb were boycotting their own team?

Agree9 Disagree1

Didnt the celtic manager threaten to quiet after fans slaughtered him for their worst start to a domestic season in living memory...

Agree14 Disagree2

@11 but he came back strong and demolished the 15 point margin he gifted you! And that was all before administration!!
In other words he pumped you good!!
Merry Xmas all
