22 Sep 2015 23:11:27
Tonight shows we are a very very good championship side and no where good enough for the top flight yet St J are mid table with no away wins this season and as favourites at home we should have done better but you cannot compete with mid table teams and then in a few weeks of beating more championship teams start shouting about give us Celtic or Aberdeen or even Hearts in the Scottish cup....

no doubt we will be celebrating winning the petrofac cup and I for one will be embarrassed especially after lots on here condemming the hearts fans for celebrating their league win last year. crawl before running springs to mind

22 Sep 2015 23:48:29
Stop your arrogance on here then. We are this and we are that. Your not. Your an average team. If that.

23 Sep 2015 07:53:30
Listen son your mob has cornered the market on arrogance lately and as Malmo so ruthlessly showed you too are nothing more than average so let us worry about us and just do one.

23 Sep 2015 09:26:48
Well said Gazza. It's funny how a result against an out of sorts Dundee side has them crawling all over us again

22 Sep 2015 22:47:10
And some on here that said you were ready for the champs! And who was it that said they fancied 7-1! Good shout that one! Lol. maybe now you will realise how far you are away from the the champions! Just imagine what the likes of ourselves Aberdeen and hearts would do to you.

22 Sep 2015 23:02:57
Dh88, Constantly seeking an argument must be bad for you.
WATP

22 Sep 2015 23:13:07
Sorry but have to a agree would dread to think what Celtic and Aberdeen would do not so sure about Hearts though.

23 Sep 2015 11:32:53
Aye Carlton Cole scares the crap out me, 6 million pound striker lmao.

23 Sep 2015 12:21:06
Cee that has to be the most ridiculous statement I ever seen on this site. I not saying Cole is a world beater BUT he is a Premiership player and is used to that level.

You have bang average players coming up from England (Tavernier Waghorn etc) and running amok in the Scottish championship.
They can run amok because the standard is very poor in the league, so if English championship players can do that what can a Premiership player do.

23 Sep 2015 13:32:47
rayman, If the standard in our league is very poor why sign a player from it

23 Sep 2015 15:44:34
@WATP because he is the best out of a bad bunch, and I wudnt have personally signed him don't think he good enough. Take A. Robertson we all missed out on him so it defeats your argument you are always going to get the odd good 1.Are u saying the standard in you league is good ???

23 Sep 2015 16:52:05
rayman, Buying the best out of a bad bunch, is that the level your club has stooped to no wonder you get humped in europe

22 Sep 2015 21:57:56
i knew this would happen 1 bad result and people on here moaning already slagging players off can't win everygame and even the best players in the world have off days so let's be realistic here its done now let's move on and keep showing why we are the best fans in the world

22 Sep 2015 22:52:17
Best fans in the world? Top flight opposition, cup game ( a cup we could have won) unbeaten and only 27000 turn up! And don't say it was on telly as Rangers need every penny they can get to come through the gates to maintain the push to the top

22 Sep 2015 22:58:56
A club company that needs 5 players to challenge the Champions? A Club company that has the Arrogant Attitude that they would over look every other SPL Team? A Club company that has been Gubbed by 2 lower Top Tier Teams?

The Result Flatters RFC if it wasn't for a great save & sitter in the First Half. Magic Hat is competing well in lower tier games but when you are up against Professional Players week in week out a HUGE REALITY Check is there for all too see.

22 Sep 2015 23:16:10
Sorry but I don't think anyone is being harsh with their criticism of the team. We were badly exposed by an average side and this result shows how far we are away from competing against mid table premiership sides. Really poor performance and tactically shown up

23 Sep 2015 09:29:31
JohnnyG, At least the other green guys are up front about their trolling

23 Sep 2015 10:09:58
Steffantos,
The team we are building have only been together less than 3months

22 Sep 2015 21:11:25
don't want to appear negative after a good start in the championship but here goes! Wilson - AWFUL, Kieran -AWFUL, Zelalem - WORSE THAN AWFUL.

On the positive maybe a good sense check and let's gets less of the press " we're going to take 10 of teams headlines" it used to be down to the manky mob to make pre game promises and us to wipe the smirks of the faces!

22 Sep 2015 22:06:49
We found out tonight exactly our level. Comfortably beaten by an average side who didn't get out of first gear. Tactics too predictable and easily countered

22 Sep 2015 22:33:42
BallochBlue

Zelalem is our most penetrative midfielder and the only one of the 3 in there tonight who looked interested, always looks for the ball and rarely puts a foot wrong. His eye for a pass is great but the boys around him need to move to create space for him to do this and that didn't happen tonight.

Very harsh on a young lad who has been 1 of our best players.

22 Sep 2015 22:42:49
Yeah you still have a long way to go. Think the other teams in your division will find you out now.

22 Sep 2015 23:05:59
I also fear the teams may have found your lot's level martybhoy?

23 Sep 2015 02:15:52
@Rafbob What level would that be then bro? We are the champions ;)

23 Sep 2015 07:49:57
Folk need to get a grip. This was our first test against Premier League opposition and mostly every player on the parks first game at that level. i'm not saying St Johnstone are world beaters or anything and on a different night we could have beat them.

I think this team have the potential to beat anyone but they played probably their best game of the season last night and we did not have any luck.

hit the bar, missed a sitter, could have had a penalty for hand ball in the box. But end of the day they played to their strengths and won.

Don't ridicule the team because we lost one game in a cup tie against a spfl team.

22 Sep 2015 21:16:46
Just watched the goals again....seriously....every time our centre backs were sqaure.i got taught in schoolboy football not to do that. pumped by sub standard team that not won away from home this season.

st johnstone player in interview saying they could have scored 5 or 6 today. hang your heads in shame boys. theres a football way and then there's the rangers way and this defo ain't why were the most succesfull team in the world. can rangers compete in spl with this team, no chance

22 Sep 2015 21:25:32
Aw come on lads. Cheer up. At least these players are only loans. They can all get sent back to their clubs. It's not all bad news.

22 Sep 2015 22:08:56
What the whole two players martyboy3?

22 Sep 2015 22:34:49
We have to remember that St Johnstone are a very decent SPFL side with a tactically aware manager and they are miles better than anybody in the Championship which is no matter what anybody says is a poor standard, just look at Ross County beating the second placed team by a barrel load.

Fully expect MW will learn from the game and we will be stronger by the time of the Scottish Cup.

22 Sep 2015 22:57:51
Decent spfl team try looking at recent posts on here first away win for them and some on here wanting Celtic, Aberdeen or Hearts in the next round. get real and enjoy the success against championship teams and hope for massive investment on promotion.

22 Sep 2015 21:10:50
What do we think of tonight's performance?

Personally we were poor in a number of areas especially in midfield, Zelalem, Owhdou and Halliday in particular.

Why was our top goal scorer out wide? Miller showed his years.

22 Sep 2015 22:35:49
Barry McKay has been a stand out this season but was benched I thought we could have done with him from the start.

22 Sep 2015 20:58:32
Lets just hope this is a blessing in disguise for the January transfer market cause we have been outplayed. out muscled and beaten by better tactics, thought by their manager. Sir walter had us Solid at the back then let the forward players express themselves.are we solid centre defensive defensive centre mid......no chance.

22 Sep 2015 20:46:32
Rangers NEED to have proper defensive midfielder like fergie to sit in front of back two, then to stagger our 2 centre backs lke a sweeper really then let our other 7 plqyers to play offensive.centre d3fense getting found out every attack with schoolboy football as in ball humped over the top.can eustace give us this.

22 Sep 2015 20:25:13
Well fellow Bears I can't believe what I'm seeing. Living on the south coast of England I can't get to games and they are rarely ON TV so I was expecting a lot from what I've read and snippets I've seen. I must say the central defence is terrible! I really can't St. Johnstone are anything special - four attempts, three goals. Whatever the outcome now, this ought to be a lesson to team, manager and supporters to calm down and realise just where we are. We were never going to go all season unbeaten but I'm very disappointed. 4-3 maybe?

22 Sep 2015 21:08:42
Second tier team up against a higher standard, only to be expected.

22 Sep 2015 21:15:44
A very poor performance! Midfield was shocking and showed the lack of experience, the on loan boys especially. Miller was a ghost for most of the game.

22 Sep 2015 21:12:59
Doiger St johnstone finished 4th last season there a decent side. We are a championship team that's the wake up we probably need as a lot of fans where getting carried away especially the person that said we would win 6-1! We need a holding midfielder I've posted that before on here haliday isn't a holding midfielder I'd like to see him play in holts position.

22 Sep 2015 20:45:20
defensive frailties that everyone has touched on

22 Sep 2015 20:58:21
well doiger its true

22 Sep 2015 22:16:30
They had also lost all 4 away league games before tonight.lets be honest they were just average but showed up just how far we are from being a decent Premiership side. Poor and predictable tactics and a wake up call not only about the team but manager as well

23 Sep 2015 03:42:28
Dundee are 3 points ahead of them.

22 Sep 2015 20:18:56
Centre halfs are too slow.

22 Sep 2015 21:13:33
Some great football, but really dodgy defending. Having said that, they took their goals well. Still very optimistic about our new look.

22 Sep 2015 20:10:05
Getting found out a bit, the gung ho approach has back fired tonight, they have taken their chances well no doubt, we are still in it....Just, need to score early second half, or its tata to the cup.fingers crossed out fitness shines through, come on Rangers let's be having you second half, we can do it...I hope.

22 Sep 2015 20:00:29
Abysmal!!

Always the case that we didn't have the defence to compete with the Premiership teams. Crashing down to earth now the hard work begins.

22 Sep 2015 23:01:31
I doff my cap to you Sir!. An honest supporter with no blinkers

22 Sep 2015 19:57:35
half an hour 0=2 badly being found out at the back and we are back down to earth with a bump !!! long way to go but its all up hill from here.
Looks like a reality check tonight boys.

22 Sep 2015 19:52:50
Should be 0.3 right now....our bubble has most defenitly burst

22 Sep 2015 20:19:19
3 down defence unbelievably rubbish

22 Sep 2015 19:46:09
2 down defence woeful

22 Sep 2015 20:24:41
3 down now - but our defense pushing too high up field - leaving wholes. We can come back.

22 Sep 2015 19:16:35
It does not look like it will be a full house tonight, unless there is traffic problems on the south side. i will be disappointed if it's a low crowd, as we only had 2000 fans at the Dumbarton game. come on guys it's Ibrox. a nice night against a Premier League team. this is what we have been waiting for. Come on the Rangers, The bluebells are Blue

22 Sep 2015 19:47:42
looks like st johnstone are going have a full house

23 Sep 2015 07:55:28
Big wull 22000 is only half house try and be truthful occasionLly this all is well tripe is boring you have been spinning on here with inside financial knowledge for ages now it seems lying to beef up attendances is a new low for you ....the bears can handle the truth you know

22 Sep 2015 08:34:34
Morning Bears. Looking forward to tonight's match. Should be a true test of how far we have come. I've put a £5 bet on Tavernier to score fist and Rangers to win 3-0 at 100/1. One of these days it will work out lol. Clearly Waghorn can grab goals but who else do we play tonight as far as another striker is concerned? WATP.

22 Sep 2015 11:44:45
I am a fan of Miller however he didn't look too sharp against Dumbarton. I would start with this 11 and bench.

Foderingham, Tavernier, Wilson, Kiernan, Wallace, Halliday, Zelalem, Holt(if 100% fit), Oduwa, McKay and Waghorn.
Subs: Kelly, Ball, Aird, Law, Miller, Hardie, Shiels.

22 Sep 2015 11:49:54
Looks a good team Bluegenious and if we need goals later in the game, bring on Shiels and Hardie/Miller

22 Sep 2015 12:33:17
The team will be psyched up (forget press nonsense of it is just another game) as this will shut up every critic and celtic fan that says we are beating plumbers and joiners (that was Div 2) plus St Johnstone players' ego will not allow them to "park the bus" unless they have specific instructions from their manager to do so.

As such I think Rangers will be 2-0 by half time and finish the game 6-1 possibly even 7-1 up to 8-1.

Rangers will tonight throw down the gauntlet to Aberdeen and the other 2 top 3 teams that we will be ready for them in the Cups and by next season we will be far stronger than Hearts and Celtic with possibly the growing Aberdeen team our only challenge in SPFL 2016/7

KT

22 Sep 2015 14:15:30
I'd love to see this Katie, but realistically any win will do me

22 Sep 2015 15:15:50
Katie, I'll have some of what your drinking! 7 or 8 against St Johnstone! Away and gies peace! You couldn't even manage to be 2 nil up at half time against Dumbarton! And you'll be stronger than the champs next season! Haha your actually serious aren't you!

I've heard it all now! Don't be fooled by the SPL in September pal! The champs will be streets ahead by May! You just concentrate on trying to catch hearts and Aberdeen for that runners up a spot!! Honestly I don't mind a bit of confidence in your team but let's not go in to fantasy world eh

22 Sep 2015 15:16:58
KT, I wonder who will bite first

22 Sep 2015 16:23:20
hey dunderheed 88 I think it's yous who should be worried about catching Aberdeen.eh...pal😂😂😂

22 Sep 2015 16:44:06
DH88?

Is your league stronger, better or more skilful?

Apart from Celtic FC not one team has spent any monies and if they have it is the region of 4 and 5 figure sums.

The lack of funds available to SPL teams are diminishing fast, and as such ALL teams are resorting to loans from the lower leagues in England, or free transfers.

Celtic FC if truth be told, should be hammering ALL of these sides but are not; they should be dominating every game but are not; they should be able to put out a second X1 but are not.

Celtic FC are now reduced to panic buying to try and retain their Premiership and remain in the EUFA Cup which Wee Ronnie said they were going to win.

and of course Celtic FC should by now have won the treble with RFC missing in the league.

and of course with Celtic FC dominating the league(?) they should have full houses at Parkhead. Their last European game was played without tv cameras to try and boost the crowd.

It would seem to me that Celtic FC are missing RFC a lot more than we are missing you lot.

It's a funny old game, so it is.

22 Sep 2015 17:15:07
Bigcol, I seem to remember Aberdeen leading by 5 points in January to! And how many points did the champs win by again! Can't remember can you? and Aye ready u say we should dominate, I'll refer back to the point I made to your pal bigcol! How many points have we won the last 3 league titles by? is it not dominating when we win it By a country mile?

We play in 3rd gear and still stroll the league! And if you're going to come and try and state facts pal at least get them right, our last European game at parkhead was on the t.v. and you say we're not hammering teams either! Did you see the result on Sunday? I could have swore it was Celtic 6 Dundee 0!

22 Sep 2015 19:05:52
Dh and aye ready,

What have you won yet, the petrofac cup - nope slipped away.
You have had a good start to a league you all said you would win last year - nope slipped away.

Lets just see how you manage against St Johnstone tonight.

22 Sep 2015 17:11:56
Should be a close game, St Johnstone have been poor away from home but anything can happen in a 1 of game. Last year they went to parkhead & produced a great display & a belter of a goal, The Morton game when they had 1 shot at Goal (The penalty) & won.

What about big Gough getting the role of 'Global Ambassador for Rangers, A fans favourite with supporter's all around the world'. The same Richard Gough who is on record stating, 'The Club I gave Blood Tears & Sweat for is Dead', 'I'm still Numb at the news that 140 years of history is wiped out with one fell swoop'.

Do these FACTS go missing from your minds or is it still the Denial stage of grief.

Opinions are more than welcome!

22 Sep 2015 19:30:58
Steffantos

Is there a difference between club and company? Think before you answer.

22 Sep 2015 19:56:52
Vambo I'm hoping u put my name in your post by mistake! your surely not mistaking me for one of the 2nd tier supporters are you? Hope not lol!

22 Sep 2015 20:10:31
My appologies dh

22 Sep 2015 20:37:56
That's ok buddy! Call me anything but not that! Lol
