Never said I was for king, ashley or anyone what I said was for someone to come in and bring some stability to the club be it ashley, king or both even if the fans took over all I'm looking for is stability and a chance for the club to move forward and we as supporters can get back to watching football instead of talking boardroom politics that we know sod all about.

If you could have one player back from pre administration who would it be ??? For me it's jelavic

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Steven Davis for me I see a few Southampton games and has performed brilliant at the highest level to the extent he's just signed a new contract till 2018.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great call so ton bear I'm with you on that.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Oct 2014 20:22:48
I would say Davis, he was the chief engineer for us and he is playing well in the Premiership. Jelavic was also different class for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aluko or weiss

Agree0 Disagree0

Although i hate to admit it ide have alan mcgregor

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Are we allowed to go as far back as Jorg Albertz and Van Bronckhorst?)

22 Oct 2014 21:19:11
Ed, why not two great players, can we also have Cooper, Gazza, lauders, in this wonderful fancy, oh and maybe David Holmes for the boardroom those were the days my friends.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I am only 31 so Gascoigne and Laudrup for me all the way ........ remember the days when talk was all about footie)

Ed i thought the post was about the players that jumped ship [silly me ]ide go for mark walters

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I think it was about the players that jumped ship but I took it in a new direction :-)

Good for you ed after all your the gaffer eh lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Mediator would be a better word)

22 Oct 2014 22:25:59
On a slightly different tack gentlemen -------- would you take to Mark Wotte somewhere in our backroom team ?????

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - No)

Of the team before admin davis macgregor and although i detest the way naismith claims he did not want leave

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed i just looked midiator up in dictionary it says gaffer ;man in charge lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - It pretty much means middle man, probably of latin origin)

Mr John Grieg would be top of my list.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 I just asked my auld man the question and he said aluko because he was the kind of player who had the potential to be a player that could get us off our seats for years and he has seen some of the best so I didn't argue. If it wasn't for all the s*** that has went on we would have an excellent side right now.

Ally must go if king takes over he is associated with the whole mess this last few years
Souness would be my shout

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Souness will not take the job he is raking it in at a high level sitting in a warm studio every week.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Oct 2014 15:05:47
Souness walked oot on us a month before the end of a season when the league was touch n go so stuff him plus as previous reply said he's getting a fortune no doubt on sky

A few things to get off my chest. Firstly, McCoist ludicrous remarks (apparently) about buying in the January transfer window. Does this man have even half a brain? If a rescue package happens he should recall our talented youngsters like Mackay and Gallagher who have been farmed out and if he can't win the Championship with the existing talent then he is a hopeless case. Secondly, it is hard to believe that Ashley could jeopardise his retail deal but blocking King. He must know that Rangers fans would then boycott purchasing any of his merchandise and would also boycott Ibrox. Unless the Easdales are stupid or evil, or both, Surely they too must see it is better to have a regime in charge who will put money in and stabilise the club otherwise their shares and those who he acts like a puppy dog for would have A BIG FAT ZERO. If King's consortium succeeds, I'm sure Rangers' home gates will go back up to 46,000 or more and give everyone at the club a boost. Fingers crossed!

I pretty much agree with you doiger. I think as fans we are in a sad position. We really are dammed if we do and dammed if we dont. Some fans are calling on boycotts which will starve the directors and leeches at the club, however that would also push us towards admin, which is the last thing any of us should want. The other option is continue supporting the club with money hoping against hope that something will change. Although I don't see anything changing if we feed them the money they crave, but on the other hand I never want the club to be in a position where small companies are hurt or even put under because of miss management. I am stuck on my choice of what to do. Atm I don't want to give the club money as nothing seems to go to the club. But.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a no brainer, money is on the table, good rangers men want to run it. that's what wee want, a good structured buisness and clear the club out top to bottom. give the youth a shot, spend within our means. personaly i think they don't want king in is apart from milking the club dry, all the skeletons would pour out of ibrox. hope the news that comes from king is a long awaited new dawn.

Agree0 Disagree0

If King comes in the first thing he will do is ask the 16k supporters that haven't returned to go out and by season books for the rest of the season. And i garauntee they would. If the club is being run properly then ibrox will be close to a sell out everyweekend

Agree0 Disagree0

At OP and @1, great posts. Can't really add much more other than I'd counter previous posts - not yours' - questioning Dave King and talking the talk stuff. He's doing the walking bit alright and given the chance via shareholders, is what we need. Every shareholder, Director, fan would be better off by a sold out Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doiger good op post mate and fintytint i look at it on behalf of us stay away fans got to be cruel to be kind

Agree0 Disagree0

Rossw01 i don't think dave king would need to ask us stay away fans to renew our books

Agree0 Disagree0

Your correct mate he wouldn't but he will! I hope the easdales relise this is the only way forward

Went to the match last night and although it was pretty dire I thought McGregor played well in his natural position I hope ally keeps playing him there and doesn't shift him to accommodate big bombscare mohsni.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Oct 2014 14:22:02
From what I have read it was a flat game last night and I would suggest when MacLeod is missing we miss that injection of quality. He should always be played regardless of the match and I would also say I am not convinced about Clark as much as I know he still has a long way to go and I want him to come good.

Agree0 Disagree0

I quite like Clark plenty of energy and movement maybe a run of games and the goals would come I think Clark or miller have to start to give us movement up front without either our forwards barely move and it encourages the big punt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Miller will make a massive difference when fit. He looked sharp against raith at the weekend and brought a lot of people into the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, I like Miller, he adds a dimension with his running power and work rate and last time he was here he added loads of GOALS also.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rosswo1 got to agree mate kenny miller runs himself into the ground every time and after another game or two we will see him back to full fitness

Is Dave King really the saviour of Rangers or is he just talking the talk?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed don't think its in his hands anymore, he has has made the offer on the strength that he gets 75% of shareholders backing for new share issue and mathematics are he needs easedale backing and I don't think he will get it and then leaving Ashley to asset strip our club in exchange for yet another short term loan. But my question is with the Ashley route is how do Rangers generate monies in the future when he has the retail sewn up and if he takes the Rangers brand then anything rangers goes in his pockets as well

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - surely he knows it will fail when he makes usch a ludicrous offer?}

I don't think King will be the saviour of Rangers, the sleasedales hold 26 per cent of the votes by proxy and Ashley himself has just under 9. Given the fact that King needs 75 per cent support of shareholders to give his takeover the go ahead it looks to me it's a non-starter (I hope not) also some reports suggesting King has not met the sleasedales and will return to South Africa.
Further doom and gloom ahead!!!

I fear the worse king has said he will release a statement on Thursday before flying back to S.Africa, i think if the deal had been successfull he would've been shouting it from the rooftops by now.

I think King might have a meeting with Ashley lined after the Liverpool game tonight. That's why he will make the announcement on Thursday, because the outcome of the meeting will make or break any deal.Ashley is going nowhere and King knows this, its just my view of it,at least we'll know one way or the other.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Oct 2014 10:56:49
I pray God that this wasn't just another false dawn, I feel sick to the knot in the pit of my stomach at the thought a deal cannot be struck, who knows where that would leave our once mighty club, but it's heartbreaking to think of a world without the Rangers probably the one love and passion (out with family)in most of our lives. re gkk. you asked me to explain to you why i think the end game is nigh. youve just answered your own question on above post. ashley is going nowhere. if kings bid fails which i hope to god doesn't then were do we go from there,,,,,,were do you think we.ll go from there. in your own words now.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Oct 2014 14:40:00
Well Billyboy the downside,or upside of Ashley being at Rangers, depending on your opinion, have been debated on here nearly non-stop for the last month at least. If you've read any of my posts youl know my position r.e Ashley.I said he is going nowhere yes, does that mean the end is nigh?? I'd like to see them both work something out,yes who wouldn't? But you have to offer something better than jumping on someone elses post saying "the end is nigh".

Agree0 Disagree0

Re gkk. mate i totally agree with you when you say its all about opinions. what i'm saying is in my opinion if the rangers board don't make the right decision this time there could be no way back. you and me should be sitting in a sold out ibrox every home game supporting the team we all love without worrying about having to suffer more of what we. ve had to suffer since the first admin. get the spivs out and let's become glasgow rangers again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashaley is only intrested in protecting his retail deal and he knows that if the club go into admin he would lose a small fortune so he won't want to lose that. In all honesty he could double his money on his shares aswel as King would have to offer him 50p a share according to a few articles I've read and a few people on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Oct 2014 16:30:01
Billyboy72 I'm with you on that 100 per cent,we definitely need changes we're in agreement there.I originally stated having no objection to Ashley being involved,I maintain that stance,IF its in the clubs best interest,he's a bona fide billionaire, the man could buy and sell King,Green the Easdales ten times over.Yes I am hoping something can be done with King that would suit all parties but,if not I don't think all is lost.

Agree0 Disagree0

ED 001 King has put his offer on the table, if the shareholders knock it back they sure as sh"t better have a plan B up their cuff
