If we sell morelos in summer, i hope we don't go for McBurnie. I don't rate him at all. Everytime I've seen him play he's been rank.

James, i'm in the same boat as you, i simply don't see the fascination with McBurnie. He's certainly not Rangers class. PS, its going to be a big ask to find a replacement for Morelos.

Stuck, I'm optimist, in world transfer market, our own much improved scouting system, Morelos cash return I'm sure there's a replacement somewhere. Agree Mcburnie ain't it nor SG mates but sure he has more contacts than most that can find suitable replacement (s) .

the hardest position in the team to replace is a decent striker with a good goal return that's why there is so much interest in morelos, look they are out there but few and far between.

There is no way jack gets in that team ahead of any of the 3 that started yesterday, not a hopeš I think what white is getting at is that we should be producing scottish players capable of getting into the squad. Mccrorie and middleton will eventually be in there, but at the moment sadly we have no one who deserves to be in there. š.

A get that point that's true we definitely should be doing that. But kicking us down to 3rd division was wrong thing to do for a country as a whole but us back the way. So still blame sfa. We will produce internationals will take few years yet tho.

I agree that demoting us to the 3rd did nothing to benefit the game in scotland. Rules are rules though and you are right we will produce internationals again, our youth set up is flourishingš.

Banxger if McCoist had invested in youth in the lower leagues you would have reached the top tier with a group of talented battled hardened youngsters in their early twenties who all had over 100 games under their belt, his decision to go another route.

Can I just point out that with going to the 3rd we should have been playing the youth instead of buying our way out of the divisions. If we had there would have been a lot of rangers players in that scotland team.

Playing the youth even now is an aspiration we all support. I remember Barry Mackay playing the first few games in the 3rd division and he could not deliver mentally to physically very goof player though he is. If our youth at the time were that good they will have made it some where. Tell me other than Barry how many from that time are playing at the top. Not many if any at all.
Just because you are young does not mean you should play. Most show real promise up to the age of 18, then plateau. We have a lad called Liam Burt at the moment who 2 years ago was tipped for the top at the same time as Billy Gilmour. The signs do not look good for him at the age of19. At 19 Barry Ferguson was starring for us in Europe. If you are good enough you will play
If you look at the stats of any club who aspire to be at the top, it is really difficult to identify then establish youth in the first team.

Given how well borna played for Croatia and how good a game both lafferty and davis had for ni yet they either hardly get a game for us (lafferty) or play utter mince (borna) is that a reflection on gerrards management skills or the players themselves?

Don't think Lafferty really has had a chance as such 10/ 15 mins now and again is useless to form an opinion on, Barasic think he needs to realise the pressure there is playing for rangers and ask can he cope Davis juries out imo.

Lafferty hasn't had a look in mols. 2 v Motherwell on debut dropped next game. Since then it's been 10 mins here n there, what do you expect out him 15 to 20 goals?

Seen a lot of people saying we should sign McBurnie if we sell morelos we need to try get a good striker in. I don't rate McBurnie at all. Everytime I've seen him play i don't think he's good, def not a replacement for morelos if he goes in the summer.

McBurnie is NOT a replacement for Morelos or even close to it. I wouldn't pay more than 2 Million for him but with fees currently he'd fetch probably 7/ 8 Million.

living in and watching Swansea, I can assure that McBurnie is no where good enough for Rangers. He is currently above his level, a mid table championship side. Also rumours he is undisciplined in his private life.

Not a rumour, but getting a player of real quality in that Attacking Midfield position like Viktor Fischer would really get us the player/ goals we're currently lacking. Granted it would be expensive around the 4 million mark but a serious return if it helped us win the league IMO.

Fischer is a youngish danish player ( think 24/ 25) who when broke through at ajax at 17 was touted as being the new star of denmark, new eriksen maybe. sadly hasn't filled his potential
would be a waste of money for us imo as he isn't upto the pyhsical side of the spl and has a poor spell in englad with Boro couple seasons ago
i like the thinking and technical wse is the type of player we need, but not man enough for spl hammer throwers
an untapped source of talent is the bundesliga 2 in germany. some cracking players in that division. watch this league when on BT.

Being serious for a moment, there is a guy in NI team who would make a difference in Rangers team in my opinion and he is a bluenose, ā Stuart Dallas ā ok heās another midfielder but heās quick and scores goals and heās the right age, I believe heās coming to the end of his contract at Leeds Utd. ?

jbf500 I am there with you mate. The football leagues in Germany are very competitive, and you need to have a bit of dig about you, as well as skill to perform there. I think that would be an excellent place to find talent. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FAMOUS.
