If the Dorrans bid has indeed been rejected does anybody think we will move for Kenny Mclean? If not who would be the alternatives?

22 Jun 2017 22:06:14
I'm sure the manager has an extensive list of suitable alternatives, on which McLean will not feature.

22 Jun 2017 22:35:42
If Dorrans bid is rejected I reckon we could secure a better player than McLean especially with our new DoF and Pedro!

22 Jun 2017 23:02:05
I think we will continue bidding until a suitable offer is accepted

23 Jun 2017 00:10:33
I don't think we need Dorrans especially at 30, I think if we get Walker in (well worth the money) then we will be all set for the season, could add a couple loans from maybe Man City, I think 1.5 mil could be better spent else where on a younger player who might flurish and potentially be sold on for more

23 Jun 2017 02:47:08
Recently saw a post about a Dutch player who is out of contract. Nacer Barazite 27 years old plays for FC Utrecht as an attacking MF. Ex Arsenal youth player, apparently had a good season helping the team to 4th place in Dutch league. Any thoughts from fellow posters.

23 Jun 2017 04:51:35
Blueboy I'm sure we had barazite on trial years ago

23 Jun 2017 05:41:32
LS done some checking and can't see anything that we were interested in the guy previously. Don't remember hearing him being on trial for Rangers. Any other bears got info on the guy as trialist with us.

23 Jun 2017 09:07:16
He was on rial in the early McCoist days before we were demoted and played in a couple of behind closed doors games and McCoist didn't think he had the strength for the SPL and Rangers. He has gone on to be a very very good player.

23 Jun 2017 13:06:29
Yeah I remember barazite being on trial, has went on to do pretty well since. Decent player

22 Jun 2017 20:18:52
I have to admit, we've been very fortunate to find 8 players who ALL wanted to come here because of the "History and the great fans". Can we have a new PR team whilst we're making changes for the better? On a serious note though I think if we can manage to get through these group stages we might persuade another quality player to come join us, probably someone we're not even thinking about just yet.

22 Jun 2017 22:14:50
matt, sure we have wonderful history and fans, but on this occassion the manager's links was very large part of them coming

22 Jun 2017 23:50:31
come on get a grip ''disagree'' so without new manager we would have signed the potugese and mexicans, aye and i will win the euromillions friday and lottery on saturday.

23 Jun 2017 05:44:28
I find it alarming when people don't pick up on such blatant sarcasm.

22 Jun 2017 20:00:19
Bruno3s source will be telling him Pena and Herrera have signed right about now.

23 Jun 2017 00:39:56
Still too early has to be confirmed for a few days before his source whispers in his ear on a serious note people like Bruno should just be ignored full stop whenever he airs his views it's quite sad supporters from other teams come on spending their time trying to goad rangers fans when they should be celebrating their own team and talking about their own transfers unless it's to have a decent debate then what's the point?

22 Jun 2017 19:19:58
Herrera and Pena just signed on 3 year deals

22 Jun 2017 19:07:44
Herrera interview on youtube

22 Jun 2017 19:18:22
Pena interview on as well

22 Jun 2017 19:25:35
English speaker.

22 Jun 2017 17:22:41
For every fiver they spend in their shop we'll spend a tenner in ours. πŸ˜€

22 Jun 2017 15:21:56
Outstanding work from the board to see off Fat Boy- One of the final pieces of jigsaw is to get rid of Easdales. I hope they sell their shares once Fat Boy sells his -Our club will be ours again!

22 Jun 2017 17:37:58
The Easdales were just on a retainer from Ashley anyway (apparently)

22 Jun 2017 22:11:38
Do any Rangers fans genuinely believe they weren't doing Ashley's bidding. All right disagreeing but at least come up with n alternative suggestion.

22 Jun 2017 15:00:01
Seeing lots of posts wanting rid of Tavernier, understandable after last season. However, I think with a quality defensive midfielder there could allow him to push forward without being exposed defensively.

22 Jun 2017 16:48:08
There is nothing wrong with tav the main problem with the team is basic shaping and covering when a man moves out another should slot in when it is on the flank everyone should move one position over but that was beyond Warburtons thinking the fact he refused to compromise on shape said it all but players suffered because of him

22 Jun 2017 17:26:58
You're being far too kind to the guy. When he's good he's great and when he's bad, he's awful. Nothing to do with back up, he blows hot and cold all day long. We can't afford awful and I'm talking about missed tackles, passes directly to an opponent as if he's wearing a Rangers shirt and crosses almost landing out of the stadium.

22 Jun 2017 17:53:45
The guys absolutely woeful stop tryna make excuses for him he had one good not even full season in the Scottish championship and couldn't make the cut in the big boy league bottom line is he is not Rangers calibre and never will be. Guy couldn't keep wains out a close!

22 Jun 2017 14:55:25
Ed's - Can we get a wee poll going. Who would you like to see leave first - Tav or Hodson?

{Ed033's Note -

Tav or Hodson Poll

22 Jun 2017 15:15:22
Great way to get behind the team.

22 Jun 2017 20:36:30
Watched they friendly games. got to say nothing has changed with the back line as tav is a liability and unbalances the whole team when he goes forward. His positioning is hopeless. Great engine though. Would also like big Bruno to be captain from now. Thoughts bears?

22 Jun 2017 23:58:03
Like tav or not he is a far better player than hodson ridiculous to say otherwise 3 managers all picking tav over him is no coincidence.

22 Jun 2017 13:47:03
Talking to fellow bears this morning and the feel good factor is definitely back, happy days.

22 Jun 2017 12:05:47
New top ordered on line from megastore. Only large left. First one for years. Happy days

22 Jun 2017 13:24:58
Shop just cancelled my order saying out of stock. Puma better get busy

22 Jun 2017 12:03:29
Feel this is a decent move with rangers regarding last years strip. Most stuck with the boycott and haven't bought anything for the last few years so its technically like a new strip income wise. Plus its 1 of the smartest kits that's been around for a while amd only 20 quid. don't mind payin full price for 2nd and 3rd kits. Just glad we have a firm grip back on the merchandising front

22 Jun 2017 11:30:21
Just ordered my top on the megastore and seriously it feels amazing to put my money into the club once again!

22 Jun 2017 11:25:37
Pena and Herrera pictured training this morning so expect them to be announced later today or tomorrow.

22 Jun 2017 11:23:42
The Scotsmen reporting that Hearts are stepping up their efforts to make Lafferty the club's highest earner. if it happens will this be beneficial to us in our pursuit of Jamie Walker?

22 Jun 2017 11:17:58
Lol seeing some of the pics on social media of fans buying anything in the shop lol goalie gloves slippers full kits amazing must admit, i'm off at the weekend so going through then if there's anything left lol.

22 Jun 2017 10:21:42
Anyone know what restricted view from the main stand rear is like? Any pictures would be appreciated thanks.

22 Jun 2017 10:48:15
Davida. It will be near one of the blue support pillars. So depending on which seat you will have a small portion of the pitch obscured. Sat there before and it wasnt anything major.

22 Jun 2017 11:19:52
Last time I was there was for the home game vs Firoentina. Wasn't too bad apart from that one time Darcheville was in their half couldnae see it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

22 Jun 2017 11:19:54
Thats the area i got too but hey, just to be there on the first day of being back in europe is amazing πŸ”΄βšͺπŸ”΅πŸ”΄βšͺπŸ”΅

22 Jun 2017 14:31:47
My ST's in the Main rear obstructed view but it's really just your luck of how much is obstructed. For me it's only the broomloan corner flag nearest me but my grandad can't see the box when we're shooting into the copland.

22 Jun 2017 15:15:34
Thanks everyone, I'm not directly behind it I'm like one or two seats over so hopefully it's not too bad.

22 Jun 2017 15:22:25
I'm in MRR in Row X so right at the back

22 Jun 2017 16:43:59
Think X closer to the front mate, I'm MRQ row E and i'm only 5 rows from the back.

22 Jun 2017 22:59:21
@rutherglenbear i just bought ST in MRS row E seat 275 with restricted view, do you think I'll be pretty but much same as you view wise?

22 Jun 2017 10:17:39
Really hope the Jamie Walker deal goes ahead, this guy has proved he can cut it at this level with what has been a poor hearts team. Think he'd be a cracking player for us and if he continued to improve the Β£1m hearts are after would be an absolute bargain. Also think we should keep Tav, think he can be a great on his day and with the new cb pairing and holding midfielder Jack filling in to give him the freedom to go forward we will see the best of him.

22 Jun 2017 11:03:35
Β£1mil for a player with 11 months left on his contract is a bargain? you on the wind up? Β£1mil if he had 23 months on his contract aye sure, but not 11months. I'd pay 750k maximum for him.

22 Jun 2017 11:56:08
Cut it at what level? SPL mediocrity? He'd be a squad player.

22 Jun 2017 13:14:53
I reckon Walker has more to offer than what he can offer right now at Hearts. For us I reckon he'd be a first team player easily, reminding you that he is a player that has created/ scored 22 goals this season for a very pish poor hearts side. I still wouldn't pay Β£1mil for him though.

22 Jun 2017 13:25:54
Only show around my concern is we'd need to pay a development fee for him next season anyway so I'd rather get him in a season earlier and contributing to this campaign. That's if and it's a big IF he doesn't receive a more lucrative offer from someone else next season because if he has another season like that at hearts he won't be short of offers from championship or even some premiership teams. Obviously the cheaper we get him the better but can't see hearts budging to be honest.
Wee ecky I'm not or sure of your point or if you even have one. Sure hearts were mediocre last season but so were we! And he still managed more goals than any of our lot! As for squad player who would you rather have playing then? McKay? Walker would be more committed and more consistent, or dalcio or candeias? I'm sure you know plenty about them now you've seen them on YouTube haha! Walkers proved he can play in this league and with better player round him should return more than he did at hearts.

22 Jun 2017 14:34:18
Point one, Andy expert: We don't pay a development fee for him next year as he will be 24 by then. Point two: Walker is a half decent player in a mediocre team, as you agree, and operating in a mediocre league. I would have hoped that top fans like you would have wanted us to raise the standard of Rangers far above that, not merely consolidate our present position by bringing in players of a similar standard. Lots of players have 'proved' they can play in this league, I want us to have players who will excel in this league. In Walker's case, a player who has never been a regular at any level for his country and who remains uncapped at the age of 24, there is scant evidence of that. As for your patronising, sneering remarks about youtube, they're just about worthy of a tim, not one of us.

22 Jun 2017 09:32:17
I still think we should try and get Naismith back at the gers. He is a no risk signing.
We know he will bang in goals and will assist plenty.
While I'm excited about new signings morales and Herrera they are unknowns in the U. K. An we don't know if they will handle it.
No one agree?

22 Jun 2017 12:07:06
To be fair even with the way he left the club he is a better olayer than he was when he left and i'd have him back. U know your going to get a good shift outta him

22 Jun 2017 09:22:29
Does anyone know when the shirt deal for SD comes into effect. Little ones birthday this weekend and trying to find out if its started or if not does anyone know when?

22 Jun 2017 09:40:10
Yes mate, go ahead and buy as the deal started yesterday

22 Jun 2017 09:19:11
As much as this sounds like madness hear me out, fat cashley obviously now has had his cut shortened and contract down to one year with fans like myself nearly in disbelief because its been so long, well done to dk and board but whilst that's amazing i think we should keep ahold of the fat man in some quarters on our terms, he without doubt is a very powerful guy with massive franchise in buisness terms, and sponsers would see that. He may not be the nicest guy in the land but usually very powerful rich people didn't get there by being nice or fair.

22 Jun 2017 10:23:27
SD are the biggest sport distributors in the UK. SD are in a very strong retail situation. This could be a marriage made in heaven instead of hell. With a willingness both sides could greatly profit from this deal. If Ashley sells his shares to the right people we should be able to get the 75% needed at the next AGM to make the changes the board needs. This could be the start of something great and help give us the financial clout we need.

22 Jun 2017 18:14:08
If Ally McCoist turns up and does the honourable thing we should get 75% needed at next AGM

22 Jun 2017 09:16:03
I see there is a story doing the rounds that the fat man wants to sell his shares. I think the fans should try and snap them up. I know most fans loathe the thought of handing money over to that clown but, if we bought them then we would have a significant stake of ownership in our great club. what's everyones thoughts?

22 Jun 2017 09:43:18
Heard it was a part of the deal that shares owned by Ashley need to be sold to Dave King. However it would be good if Club1872 got a hold of them.

22 Jun 2017 08:52:19
haven't seen too much on here about the whole fan zone thing? . we're planing to design and build a Man City style fan zone next to the stadium.

Thoughts on it?

22 Jun 2017 09:11:39
Sounds pretty good like. I would like to see some serious cash breing injected into upgrading Ibrox. The old girl is looking a wee bit tatty just now.

22 Jun 2017 08:23:13
Awe man, i cannae wait for next thursday night. Ibrox will be bouncin. The last european game i managed to get to was against psv eindhoven. Well excited.
Fingers crossed we get a good performances from the lads.

22 Jun 2017 10:50:53
The last one I was at was the Porto match, what a game that was and the loudest I've heard the crowd.

22 Jun 2017 02:51:31
I wish Pedro could sign Cedric, the Portugese RB, while I'm dreaming! Big Pepe is out of contract.,! πŸ˜‚πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‘.

22 Jun 2017 02:19:32
Hats off to King and the board for some excellent work to date.
I also watched the TNS game and Tav actually played well in both defense and attack. All looked good to be honest with exception of Tav's finishing and Niko is a long way from being fully fit.
Holt and Jack looked good and Cardoso looked very comfortable on the ball.
Sitting watching the Portugal game at the moment and Big Bruno looks solid, class!
We will also see a big difference with the skill and power of Pena in midfield and big Herrera and Morales banging them in. βš½οΈπŸ…πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ”΄βšͺοΈπŸ”΅πŸ™πŸ†.

22 Jun 2017 00:18:18
Bruno Alves played full game V Russia tonight for Portugal and was part of a team who managed a clean sheet against the hosts in a 1-0 win via Ronaldo.
