Surely the fact we can't sign Don Cowie, we should easily be able to tie up a deal to sign Scott Allan, Ally McCoist says he has no problem with giving youth a chance yet has let go Scott Gallaher and re-signed the shaambles that is Simonson, I will tell u I want ally out asap he is not a manager and never will be he has not signed 1 single player I rate apart from Templeton and Nicky Clark? What is everyone's take?

said it already here, what is wrong with our fitness program?? two more injured players last night, making it 6 so far on this tour.

our fitness MUST be sub-standard for all this to happen. Years ago we didn't do pre-season tours but trained like the SAS until a couple of weeks before the new season, and weseemed to get though he whole season on around 16 players.
How times have changed. I know the game is faster now, but we definitely have shortcomings in the fitness dept. can't Ally and his eejits not see this?

I think there is a possibility of a few issues here that are not actually Mccoists fault!

1) When an athlete is performing above recent levels (close season-pre-season) stretches/niggles are more likely.

2) This is not signifacantly more than previous seasons just memory has faded as all short term injuries (see below)

3) Scottish players are less keen to maintain themselves fully compared to Euro counterparts and therefore may not maintain themselves causing issues.

On the upside, none of these injuries seem serious. I remember ther was a time in the 90's when Rangers couldn't go through a season without losing 1-2 players to knee injuries per season and Archie Knox got the blame for over-training players!

Wee bill it doas make people wonder when yae consider jim baxter never ever trained was that because he was a genius I wonder

Agree0 Disagree0

@tmwnn I vaguely remember a Baxter interview when he was asked how the team would do on Saturday and Baxter quick as a flash said och well win. Then as an after thought said who is it we are playing? Ah the good old days!

Another 2-1 win on the North American tour, this time against Victoria Highlanders. I see that Gallagher, Hutton & Crawford started with Mackay and Murdoch coming on in second half. Black still in the side though. Is McCoist gradually seeing the light?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yip, all positive, winning and youngsters getting a game, good to see.!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenny Mcdowall has said he was unimpressed by rangers' fringe players last night

"Is McCoist gradually seeing the light?"

No, he already said the old guys needed a rest after playing 46 hours earlier. Fret not, they will all be back for the next game

Agree0 Disagree0

Were he say this leeboy12?

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no chance of macoist seeing the light even if someone held in his face believe nothing has changed the tour is for money only and a jolly for the boys last season and the one before the fitness levels during the season were definetly lacking

Lexlau - Rangers Official App, brings up all the news.

Brave Our assistent manager has a go at the young fringe players saying he's not impressed, how many min have they had pre season whilst the Big Boys huff and puff in there games, don't hear our assistent manager barking at them, you have to give them game time.
