Just back from game. very frustrated and disappointed. very poor all round performance. only positive was the win. Very clear we miss tav and Morelos. We need to sign an attacking midfielder and a high quality right winger as Aribo and Arfield are not the answer in this position and Jones and Ojo arei not good enough consistantly and only impact players from the bench If we fail to sign anyone even on loan I fear the league will be lost. The warning signs are there after the last two performances. The three week break seems to affect us and we need to work out why very quickly.

Yip a relatively flat performance from us against st. mirren tonight but more importantly we got the 3 points. For me anyway, borna barisic easily the best player on the park and my motm! Some of his balls into the box were superb. He's playing out of his skin now for us. Said also we would only see how much we miss tav when he's not playing, guess what it showed, we missed him like hell!

Didnt understand tonight why we kept slinging crosses into defoe who's about 3 n a half feet up against 2 giant centre backs. Hardly looked a threat tonight we miss morelos do much thank God he's only got 1 game left.

The big miss was Morelos not only for his goals but for his work in the final third he bullies defences makes space for others to play in wins fouls high up the park for us yes Defoe scored and given a chance he will get you goals but Morelos make his own goals with his strength we need another striker fast we have four CDs plenty midfielders, glut of wide players but only two strikers and one of them is 38 if any of that two got injured or lost form I think we would be in real trouble I just hope we get one in the door in next few days.

Bring in charlie austin on loan. He'd batter goals in up here but its hard to convince a top striker to come and probably be 3rd choice. that's the problem we've currently got here.

Agree, 17 shots against their 1 . wasn't convincing at all though. Different team without tav. last night should've been a case of right ok no tav . let's show the fans we don't need him all the time. quite clearly we don't have a replacement for him yet. in fact not a lot of decent replacement for any our 1st team. .

I could go on but you get me. Quite clear to me instead of banging players out we need a couple of guys who will take the game. by its neck. definitely need a big tall number 10 for upfront. that's a given.
Better not be same as last year where we crumbled after the winter holiday. just think its a shame without tav last night we were a different team and no one on here csn tell me differently.

Totally with you stop_the_9.I mentioned a name to my mate at ibrox last night who i would like us to try and bring in on loan, 'till the end of the season. He's an attacking midfielder (no.10), who can create and score goals and i believe he's out of favour under ancelotti at everton. His name is Icelandic star sigurdsson. Thoughts on this guy fellow bears? 🤔🤔.

Sorry I know last of yous don't agree but we need another striker/ goal scorer other than Morelos
He gets a few more cards he's missing again come near end of season and could be crucial
Maybe we haven't got the money
But we need to do something in this window if we want to continue to win every game from til end of season

I can't see Celtic letting slip they will continue to win games and we're struggling against at Mirren and Stranraer in the cup the other night no what matter what people think
We are struggling just now to put teams away
And it's not all down to having a few weeks holiday
Very frustrated watching it
Right now we need probably at least 2 in the door striker - and someone who can split defences wide open even if 10 men behind ball
Easier said than done
But it's what it's going to take for us to win this league and I hate saying it.

We beat stranraer 2 nil they didn't get a shot at goal. St mirren came and played 10 men behind the ball. Not easy to break down. Celtic have also had this issue at home v likes of hamilton. Its actually more open for us when we play away from home as teams come out at us a bit more.

Agreed mate, the manager needs to wake up if he thinks we don’t need anyone in. That hubris will cost us. Celtic have strengthened and they had a deeper squad to begin with. If we don’t get a few in the door we’ll lose the title by a decent margin.

i’ve been saying for long enough we need another cntr fwd but get drowned out by the ‘we only play 1 up top’ lot
we had no stewart or even a young lad on the bench as back up tonight so very limited firepower
sounds like utd want fortunes for shankland so i’d consider dikes at livi - tall, very quick and knows where the goal is
if we don’t get another fwd in we are gambling the title as refs will hand alfie more bookings so all we have is defoe.

I'd be worried if we only had defoe if morelos got any more suspensions. Always like to grab a goal but he just doesn't bring to the table what the buff does.

When your big teams like Liverpool win 1-0 and don’t play well people start going on about that’s what champions are made of. When we do it everyone is on the teams back! I would rather take a 1-0 against anyone than drop points! We scored 2 at parkhead something we haven’t done in ages. We miss Alfredo course, what side in Scotland can afford to not start a 20-30mil player. and the title will be in ibrox at the end of the season that’s the main thing!

It's very obvious that we don't have the money to strengthen the squad, as you all say, it's obvious the lack of fire power without Alfie, and you can't win a league depending on one player. Flanagan has had his chance, again, last night there was nothing of quality from him, and, his fouls against could have cost us also, young Patterson should have been trusted, as his delivery is superb. Why oh why can't we shoot more from 20-25 yards, as against a packed defence you may get the break of the ball, also our shooting was awful last night when we did try. The main thing for me, is that we got the 3 points, Sunday at Tynecastle is massive, we have to put the bottom club to the sword, and do it quickly, as they will get confidence the longer we go without scoring.

We didn't buy king. he's was brought in as a loan to add depth polster hasn't worked out same with a lot of signings.

Rangers struggling to score as usual. Without Morelos there is not enough fire power in that team. Midfield is too defence minded and limited goal threats. Desperately need an attacking number 10 someone with an eye for goal and it's not Aribo. Celtic will win the league if this continues.

Bit of an over reaction on here yet again it’s a win after the winter break against a team with no ambition. We got the job done with out coming out of 2nd gear! Thought Ojo done more in the last 10mins than any of our attacking player in the rest of the game still he gets a negative mention or two 🤦♂️! Get through the one against hearts and Alfie’s back even when he’s not scoring he occupies defences and creates space for Kent Etc to run into! And To all of you out there who said Flanno should start on either side of the park or that Tav isn’t good enough or should be Dropped! Hope u like the look of an unbalanced Rangers team Flanno put 2 crosses in that I can remember that we’re worse than any ball tavs put in in years 😂 bring back the captain all is forgiven 🙌🏻.

No we couldn’t get out of second gear they were poor we need another striker against teams who sit in Defoe is not a Morelos who bullies defences creating space for players to get into give him a chance he will score but in that packed defence he first get many chances no one is having a go at anyone and it’s not an over reaction we always saw it last night and last Fri we struggled were in a good place in the league right now but loose a striker to injury suspension or lack of form and we will sit and watch more of that and land up trophy less we must strengthen up front to win this league.

Most papers report that Rangers are in talks with Campbell about a pre-contract agreement. The fact that they are holding discussions gives me hope - I think working with SG will tip the scales in our favour - hope so.
Have not heard or read anything about talks having broken down, which would normally mean that he wants to come.

Id go with Patterson thought he looked the part granted wasn't against great opposition but he was one of the better performers on that day for me. Offers pretty much the same as Tav in terms of his overlapping runs and driving forward.

I would select the back four we intend picking for the next few games, so Flannigan for me. I thought people were a bit OTT about Patterson and his performance in the cup game, I thought he did ok and got into some decent areas but his delivery into the box was poor. I do think the lad has potential but its not the time to be taking chances with youngsters, in the cup fine.
