What about the boy lundstrum We’re being linked with from Sheffield Utd. Him and jack taking turns, one sit the other doing the box to box running While Aribo stays a bit further forward and links with the front 3. I really like the sound of getting him in. And he’ll only hear good things from flecks and mcburnie. I think that one could be a goer mate. Thought it was going to be a repeat of last weak but we came out with real intent in the 2nd half. Our squad quality has went up a notch or 2 and without clicking we are winning. Keeping working away Gers and picking up 3 points. Our Squad is good enough for the 1st time in a decade to win the league. Last season we were just getting by on peak from, this season we are getting by and only just at a jog, we have another 2 or 3 gears to go up. I love Fred but perhaps he was holding the squad as a whole from developing, time to move on.

I’ve never said anything bad about tav or Goldson
Apart from maybe having a go if they have had a bad game And even then it must be very minimal
Goldson all round has been a Very steady player and so has tav
Alright some defensive errors from them both over time
But to be honest both of them are very professional
They barely miss a game and they play week in week out
If anything I admire them both for the hard work they must put in - in training and on the pitch
I know tav is not really a captain in such as the likes of captains of the past
But he’s definitely a role model to young and old players alike
Him and Goldson obviously keep themselves in very good shape to play as much as they both do over the amount of time they have been at Rangers
And I don’t think anyone could disagree with that KRi55
Might not be everyone’s cup of tea
But solid solid professionals and have my sincere gratitude for the service there giving Rangers since there time here mate -
Like I say both had mishaps and we’re all human
And we will come and have a go

2nd half we went two through the middle stig and we were much better. Killie never bothered us. 1st half we were the usual one through the middle and struggled but the 2nd half we were created a lot more. Kent was class👍.

Much better 2nd, Kent was a standout, Barker, jack, Davis were good. The new players looked good, roofe was unlucky not to score a header (hit the post) from a fantastic cross from barisic.

To add to the above one big change to the tactics was Davis played a bit more advanced and not parallel to Jack and we tried a lot more balls over the top in behind the defence.
Killie offered nothing, but did not defend like Livi. They did try and come out a few times but nothing worried us.
Kri55 - I heard SG say that also but when you look at his positioning during the 1st half he was out on the right an awful lot, especially when the ball was on the right, obviously trying to link up play, I kept asking why he wasn't heading into the box when Tav or whoever had the ball in a decent position to cross, perhaps trying to hard. But definitely went through the middle 2nd half and looked more balanced.
Stig - Itten put in a decent shift but nothing really sticks out, he could maybe have read (anticipated) a few crosses a bit better to maybe get a chance but never. Strangely I don't remember him winning a header in the box but could be wrong.
Barker was surprisingly decent, may have earned himself a starting Jersey again.
Can't really add much else. A comfy 3 points. The 2nd half formation should be our setup for next game.

I'll give credit where credit is due, well done SG. We tried a lot more balls over the top and changed the players around at half time and got the result we needed. Still room for improvement with the final ball and passing but heading in the right direction.
Whilst I am not a fan of the 2 CM's I did notice Davis was more advanced than Jack and trying forward passes, is this something SG has also tweaked or is it just the way Davis decided to play, surely he follows what the manager says. Barker aslo looked decent.
My main sour note from today was Tav, I thought he was poor. A few terrible first touches and his crossing was awful, this is not just a one off, he seems to be in a really poor patch at the moment but with no real threat to his position ( not seen enough of Patterson to say he is good enough to start ) he knows he is always going to start.
Apart from that, happy with the 3 points and hope SG continues to tweak the players and tactics when required.

Lol Jaws that's true, but I think defensively he has improved a bit, however let's be honest the defence hasn't had an awful lot to do. What they have had to do they have dealt with it comfortably.
The Stuck - I'm happy to keep him but be needs proper competition for when he is not playing well, I am also in the group that thinks he isn't captain material but not going over that again.

Sad to say but some clearly have an agenda against Tav that has nothing to do with his performances.
He is not the best RB in the world and does throw in the odd poor cross but he also puts is some fantastic crosses.
He is up and down the line constantly and never shirks from the ball.
He is trusted 100% by our manager both are No 1 RB and captain of our club and yet some “fans” can’t help but call him out as the weakest link!
I think you know that SG was referring to you in his presser when he said that his thoughts were based on reality when compared with some fans views.

I get what a lot of you are saying and obviously it is subjective, just my opinion on what I'm seeing during the games.
Fair point Scotty123, Tav did also get an assist today but it was a 3 yard pass but an assist none the less, my gripe is the quality and consistency of his crosses from out wide. I don't think he is a poor player, just having a really poor to average run of form of late whereas the Tav of old would be bombing down that line and whipping in excellent crosses moreso than less.
He has the capability but isn't performing just now hence why I think proper competition for his position would be welcomed.

Tav does what the management team ask him to do, he’s a a great attacking full back and his assists stats are incredible. True he makes errors and could be better defensively but if he was any better at the things he does wrong he’d prob be off by now to the epl. I’d like a better rub but who and from where and how much would that cost? And would said player offer the same going forward as tav? As that’s a big part of the way we play. Thought we might have went in for that young boy from Leicester but that ship seems to ha e sailed. It’s not tav fault he’s the captain and he’s definitely not as bad as some make him out.

Kent and davis were class. Thought barker was very good.

Totally agree with thus post. Why do we continually play guys out of position. Itten was bought as a centre forward but we put him out on the wing. Why? . We still struggled to break down Killie, just like we did Livi last week.

like it or not 4231 is the correct formation. we aren't keeping it wide enough and putting good enough balls into the box. shooting from outside the box doesn't work either unless you hope a few flukes will win the game.
the team got a rocket at half time and a couple of long balls did mix it up but none of the goals came from that tactic.

We should always be looking for improvement Scott. Good 3 points, good to SG change things at half time with big Itten through the middle rather than out of the right of the attack. Final ball was poor apart from the cross for the 1st goal and our passing over the top was pretty poor but as I said something for us to work on. Tav's crossing is awful but with no real competition for a place ( haven't seen enough of Patterson) then he knows his place is guaranteed. Thought Kent was MOTM and Barker had a decent game. Another clean sheet, we carry on to the next match.

Coldo technically isn’t wrong as the reported bid for Morelos was a fee reaching 16M. Apparently it was closer to 10M with various different performance related add ons. i believe we are asking for 15M straight payment with fewer and lesser add ons to the deal.

I am sure he will get a lot more money there but he said from day 1 his aim was to play in one of the top 5 leagues. Rangers may have a bigger history but now Lille are a huge team in a top league, play regularly in Europe and against a much higher standard of players. Any player with ambition would want that move if it was offered except maybe someone with a lifelong connection to Rangers. He has done all he can in Scotland so I wish him well and will follow his career and support him when he leaves.

Historically they are a smaller club but play in a bigger and more attractive league, like you said can offer more money and have also been a pathway to players then moving on to the elite level- Hazard, Pepe, Osimhen and that centre half they are set to flog who's name escapes me. Kent for me is a 'show' player, he flatters to deceive and very rarely has no end product.
The SPL defences worked him out over a year ago and let him run around the edge of the 18 yard box going nowhere.

Borna has a quality left peg but he's not as creative as Kent. Both very different. Borna can't run at or take a man the way kent does, Kent doesn't have a left peg like Borna. Barasic is probably our most valuable player but he's not our best player in terms of creativity. 👍.

Barasic probs the more rounded player but Kent is still improving, getting more end product now and creates a lot of chances and space for others. I think the point being made which I would agree with is losing Kent now would harm our league chances more than losing Morelos. We have the Morelos replacements here but replacing Kent now would be harder.

Tav had plenty of assists paul🤷♂️ but neither are better than kent, neither can beat a man like kent or carry the ball the way kent does. Barasic is better at set pieces or crossing but he can't beat a man the way kent does. Two very different players but both very important players for us👍.

No good beating a man if you don’t do anything at the end it’s all about assists and goals at the business end and Kent hasn’t done enough. Hoping he starts to get that final ball right then he can be regarded as our best player. Until then he’s with Hagi and Co. Morelos love him or hate him is our best and most valuable player look over the last 3 seasons it’s undeniable. BB and Tav also create a lot of goals Tavs a bit dodgy defensively but still a valuable player for us. And Ryan Jacks influence on the performances is unquestionable top player! Really hope Roofe starts today.

We paid £7.5m and would owe Liverpool the sell on of £3m it the fee was £15m. As he never requested a transfer, he'd be due a loyalty bonus, maybe as much as £500k. So we would be looking at around a £4m profit. Why on earth would we sell one of our best players for a £4m profit? One of the very few who has showed he can turn up in big games and make a difference. Yes, he's inconsistent at times but he's young and can improve. I wouldn't entertain any offers for him at all. Hutton wrote the other day that morelos was only getting a game because we had no other strikers who were match fit and that Gerrard can't wait to drop him, we saw this against livi, let's be honest it does show a lack of faith if you need a goal and you take your 'top' striker off. I agree with hutton, I think Gerrard wants shot of him. I just don't buy that we knocked back 16mil, there isn't exactly a queue for his signature. Despite the negativity surrounding Morelos, he remains our most potent threat by far. He has been involved in 5 of our 7 goals to date. Other teams know that if you stop Morelos you stop Rangers. His attempts have often been from difficult angles, not just this season, as we insist on playing throught the middle. Also, he is often the only option in the box making him easy to mark. He does need to improve his fitness. But this makes me question the quality of recent signings if they cannot replace our half-fit striker.
