Not rangers related but did anybody see mahrez free kick for city,? Was under the impression under the new rules that no attackers were allowed in the wall and had to be 2 meters away, city had 3 men in the wall causing havoc, should var not have ruled that out?

21 Sep 2019 23:45:19
I didn’t see it mate but you are right. If Man C had players in the defensive wall it shouldn’t have counted.

Shame because Watford we’re doing so well until that goal.

22 Sep 2019 07:49:59
i was there yday here we go - got my son tkts for his bday unbelievable day

i did think that was strange but VAR is bonkers so no idea they ruled a spurs goal out as someone’s shoulder was milimertres offside apparently!

wtf has happened to the game.

22 Sep 2019 08:13:36
I thought that was a new rule as well but haven’t seen any actual change yet. Maybe it’s been put on hold so the refs can get to grips with all the other stupid changes that have been made.

22 Sep 2019 15:22:03
Good point 87 1🤣🤣 it was only 2 at the time tho lol.

21 Sep 2019 21:19:20
Really happy to see Mark Warburtons QPR doing well. The board should have properly backed him instead of going for idiots from Portugal.

21 Sep 2019 21:39:44
Who is going to be the first to bite on that one I wonder? 🎣.

21 Sep 2019 22:54:59
In fairness, Bread man started well, and had virtually no money to spend, so who knows.

22 Sep 2019 01:25:29
Bizzmybrox he started well in championship. Started to get found out tail end of championship season could see how it was all going.

22 Sep 2019 10:48:58
board felt he wasn't committed and they were right.

22 Sep 2019 11:30:28
They never gave the breadman enough dough.

22 Sep 2019 11:53:02
He wanted to leave did he not?

22 Sep 2019 11:53:22
at yeast he got us promoted.

22 Sep 2019 15:27:48
Aye but his tactics had got a bit crusty.

22 Sep 2019 19:22:42
Always felt like an outsider I heard.

21 Sep 2019 19:04:21
Edd, just a quick opinion check/ Poll.

Poll question is: Do we think this years Europa groups is more difficult than last years?

i'm probably wrong as usual but I thought last years Europa group teams were stronger than this years. Is SG playing mind games I wonder. Like the Feynord players found out last night its easy to talk the talk but Ibrox can remove the balls from a lion at a clean mile.

Europa Group Poll

21 Sep 2019 19:15:28
This years group is much stronger, 3 champions league caliber teams were in with.

21 Sep 2019 19:17:22
This year's group is visibly, tactically, technically and statistically much stronger than last year. No comparison.

21 Sep 2019 22:32:32
Hi Daisy. that's what i was looking for rather than just that LOOKs like a stronger group. I will be interested to see what you mean with tactility and technically, how is that measured. Statistically stronger, I couldn't be bothered looking up all statistics but had a gut feeling it wasnt as strong as last years. I am a mathematician specializing in statistics, so hopefully you can understand my view on off the cuff remarks.

Expecting stevie G to make some changes to our starting 11 the morra, to freshen things up. It looks almost certain that jermain defoe will be up front, with morelos on the bench. Morelos looked absolutely out on his feet even before the end of our win on thursday night, against feyenoord. He had a superb game and was my motm. He just never stopped against the feyenoord defenders and the lone role up top is a very difficult shift, especially with the constant badgering way morelos plays, by never giving any opposition defender a minute's peace.
He kept all their defenders occupied and they just couldn't cope with him. Fredo must be an absolute nightmare, for defenders to play against. If he keeps up his discipline improvement, then i honestly do feel rangers will get between £15million-£20million for him, when he eventually is sold. We just have to enjoy EL BUFFALO, while he's here!

21 Sep 2019 20:24:08
Agree Supercoop, Morellos looking much better and was immense on Thursday. Unpopular to say but actually think he is benefiting from his Spanish speaking pal Candelias moving on. I even understand he has mastered basic English and definitely seems more integrated and comfortable within the squad.

Think match tomorrow is massive and is the type of game where we dropped points last season. Although changes will be made to the starting 11 don’t believe will be wholesale as that could put the points in jeopardy. I would bring in Katic, King, Barker and Aribo (at expense of Goldson, Davies, Kamara and Arfield) . Would love to see the boy Docherty get some game time in second half.

21 Sep 2019 22:28:31
I think we really need to look at another striker. I think Defoe is a great wee striker but we really need more of a target man IMO.
.

22 Sep 2019 08:43:42
Again, young Shankland scored two goals today, I know it's only the championship, but, he's a natural instinctive goal scorer whom, I feel, could have got goals for us, I feel we need to convert more of the chances we're creating.

Change of pace here:

Everyone can join in with this.

What Celtic team did you dread playing and why?

Celtic fans, What Rangers team did you dread playing and why?

21 Sep 2019 19:15:21
Celtic early on under O’Neill. They were tough and we were on the slide. Their defence and midfield was very strong, apart from Mahe who was a tool. And Henrik who was a great player.

And to be honest, I’m only coming out from behind the sofa now after the last few years’ pumpings. Obvious why so no reason required.

21 Sep 2019 19:25:59
Any with Larrson in it, he was a truly class player.

21 Sep 2019 20:29:08
The Lisbon Lions. Some great players in that team and we had some average players at the time.

21 Sep 2019 22:51:31
Agree Bankie Lisbon lions.

21 Sep 2019 23:13:58
I was at the 5-1 and 4-1 defeats in 88/ 89.
Walters would terrorise us, especially Morris.

21 Sep 2019 23:50:03
Personally I hated it against Tommy Burns. If it wasnt for Goram we’d have taken a few beatings.

Second to that would be O’Neil. Sutton, Larson and Hartson were lethal as a front 3.

22 Sep 2019 01:27:40
Pretty much dreaded itnfrom 2012 right up to gerrards 1st season.

22 Sep 2019 10:50:11
I was at the 1969 Scottish Cup Final when Celtic won 4-0 and that team on that day was scary. With Lennox, Chalmers and Auld in their team, Celtic could beat anyone on their day. The fact that Rangers reached a European final in 1967 during Celtic's period of domination says much about how good Gers were at that time. Rangers' team of the 1990s was equally good and with a bit more luck, we could have won the European Cup had cheating Marseille not done so!

22 Sep 2019 12:37:40
I’ll always remember them beating us 6-2 at Parkhead and fernando getting hooked after 20 odd minutes as bobby peta terrorised him. That O’Neil team and the tommy burns team with cadete, van hooijdonk and di canio were alway tough to go up against.

21 Sep 2019 17:02:33
The Swagman, why is this a possibility, is it a punishment from UEFA, I don't see why the atmosphere on Wednesday would affect us in any way?

21 Sep 2019 13:24:39
Porto possibly having their stadium shut for our game against them? Let’s hope we don’t end up with a ban like that because the atmosphere definitely spooked Feyenoord.

21 Sep 2019 18:26:06
A think your at the 🎣.

21 Sep 2019 18:24:17
Why would we end up with such a ban?

22 Sep 2019 12:38:42
It was in the papers that they might be subject to a full stadium closure, why am I fishing?

Daisy - for the songs we were singing on Thursday. Sitting watching today’s match as I type and can hear the stupid songs being sung again.

21 Sep 2019 12:24:32
A crucial week coming up with league games against St Johnstone tomorrow, Livingston in the League Cup midweek then the Sheep at home next weekend. The unwashed are away to Hibs next weekend so not easy. 3 wins are a must for us. Any thoughts on tomorrow's team? Should SG keep rotating or play what he considers his best XI fit players on the day?

21 Sep 2019 12:33:16
Hibs aren't the challenge they once were. With heckingbottom in charge they are soft as sh*te.

21 Sep 2019 18:25:36
He should continue to choose the team he believes is correct for each individual game, that's all.
