Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

21 Oct 2020 23:10:43
Standard Liege look like a tough nut to crack at home like a few posters have said. Their form is not 100% in the league so very much an unknown quantity on the whole. Should be a tough game but hopefully a good game and we come out on top 🤞followed by the Celtic game, love to see Zlatan score a 60 yard back heel against Barkarse. 😂.

21 Oct 2020 21:16:40
What does everyone think our team will be tomorrow night?

Think there will be any changes?

21 Oct 2020 22:20:36
Maybe McLaughlin, definitely hagi for barke. I’d say that’s it. Couple plastic pitches coming up that’s when ul see the rests I think mate.

22 Oct 2020 08:11:34
I was thinking McLaughlin to start tonight too
Don’t think Zungu is allowed to play for us during group stages is he?

22 Oct 2020 09:02:24
I can’t see McLaughlin starting when all the talk is on mcgregor creating a new Europe appearance record.
See McLaughlin playing Sunday.

22 Oct 2020 12:52:53
Very true John25
Could be spot on there mate.

22 Oct 2020 13:23:58
Stig. Once Zunga quarantine is over he is free to play in group stages I understand.

21 Oct 2020 20:49:25
If traore leaves wolves it will be to a champion league team for 70 to 80 million, Liverpool and Barcelona were reported to be looking at him.

21 Oct 2020 21:31:24
Border blue, what's your point?

22 Oct 2020 01:16:36
What a very random post Border blue. For what its worth mate I do t thi k you're far wrong pal but very very random🤣🤣🤣🤣.

22 Oct 2020 07:15:39
Have I missed something?

21 Oct 2020 19:34:31
Yo chaps, who is showing the game ra mora night?

21 Oct 2020 19:47:29
Bt sport.

21 Oct 2020 20:11:52
Cheers Paul.

21 Oct 2020 19:01:33
He's a failed manager now giving rubbish opinions.

22 Oct 2020 15:42:21
ok then.

21 Oct 2020 17:12:23
I was reading that tomorrow night's opponents Liege have not been beaten at home in Europe for 6 years 15 games undefeated. I think its about time something is done about this and we are the team to finish this fantastic run they are on. Very tough game but I'm confident we can beat them and looking forward to it.

21 Oct 2020 20:06:48
Aye av got 2-0 rangers Morelos anytime. 90/ 1. They’ve got 5 out with C.V. so there for the taking.

21 Oct 2020 20:47:27
I'll have a bit of that mate! Great price.

21 Oct 2020 21:17:19
I gerrard where u getting that price.

21 Oct 2020 21:19:17
In Gerrard where u get they odds? 🤔🤔🤔 Wanted that bet on but 2-0 gers and Alfie FIRST goal is 30-1 with most bookies, anytime for 90-1 I can't see anywhere? I'd gave that on in a sec but can't find it anywhere.

21 Oct 2020 22:21:58
Paddy power online guys 👍🏻👍🏻.

21 Oct 2020 22:23:19
Am a f**** dumpling guy am getting 95 quid back fur a fiver. Am in hospital the now full a oral morphine and trauma doll. my heads not right. Still tho paddy power 👍🏻🤣.

21 Oct 2020 22:24:28
Sorry guys don’t slaughter me please 🤯.

21 Oct 2020 22:28:20
Odds are “oddly” priced at 1083/ 100, £ 95.15 for £5er 👍🏻.

21 Oct 2020 22:45:09
Cheers Ed thought u we’re going to hold them back for a bit n let me get slaughtered. 👍🏻.

{Ed001's Note - the only time they get held back is if they are a question directed for a particular editor who is not around at the time or if there are no editors about to edit them.}

22 Oct 2020 08:13:02
Was going to say Gerrard 9-1 sounds about right 👍👍.

22 Oct 2020 13:10:16
A was rather out my face on morphine guy, felt like a right tit when I realised what ad done 😂😂😂 all good. Hopefully we’re all smiling tonight.

22 Oct 2020 15:41:17
I saw that earlier, but they will be damaged by this C.V. outbreak in their ranks and I feel we will be the team to end this run.

22 Oct 2020 15:43:23
get well soon ingerrard. take care and good luck.

21 Oct 2020 14:23:28
I see that Standard Liege have a significant outbreak of C.V. in their squad. It worries me slightly that we go and play.

21 Oct 2020 16:41:11
This is very worrying Mocbear. I think it is only a matter of time before this season comes to an abrupt end once again. Not liking the hike in cases, either in the general population, or in football. We have been very fortunate so far. This can't continue I'm afraid. Unless the darksiders are right and we are supplying "ringers" to take the tests 😀.

21 Oct 2020 16:39:56
If SL outbreak is as bad as you say, SL will foregoe and we will go thru, without kicking a ba.

21 Oct 2020 17:01:00
If they have a significant outbreak I would rather not play them sounds too much of a risk?

21 Oct 2020 17:20:52
Protocol is that all players are tested twice before every match so very unlikely that anyone with C.V. will be involved.

21 Oct 2020 18:27:24
Think the only worry is Dk is that we know you can test negative one day and few days later you can then test positive
So if the players in SL have had a few confirmed results what’s the chances they have been around more members of the squad that haven’t yet tested positive
Which could end up testing positive say by Friday after the game if it can take 4-5 days for symptoms to come on

Suppose we can say that for any game, but more worrying if indeed they have had an outbreak.
I haven’t read the article as yet
It’s a tough one personally rather air on side of caution
But we know that couldn’t happen for every time some players come down with it
So I’m talking rubbish and just ignore me 😂

Let’s just win the game and get 3 points and hopefully everyone stays safe and well

What you guys think will be the starting lineup for us tomorrow?

21 Oct 2020 18:51:34
MBW go thru were? It’s not knockout.

21 Oct 2020 19:56:34
i am not sure what the stats are about players with C.V. playing and then infecting other teams players. ok i get that they just need to spray some droplets into the air but what is the chance of getting it from that. i don't know i am not an expert but would think its relatively low.

21 Oct 2020 14:11:52
Pissin masel reading McNamara's atricle in the S** where he describes Rangers as "not a good team"
What does that say for his beloved green and grey "warriors". Not just a club like no other, but a bitter muppet like no other as well 😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍.

21 Oct 2020 14:44:47
I said the exact same in the comments section of another rag (Glasgow one)
They're all hurting, and this on top of their hatred, is clouding their judgement which is resulting in a wave of embarrassing comments. Poor wee Jackie!

21 Oct 2020 14:58:50
Seeker never a truer word said. He’s a bitter little person
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧.

21 Oct 2020 15:19:12
Exactly Seeker.
We all know the Tim Apologists in the media pander to the lowest common denominator in the Celtic support, but to come away with that statement after watching the game on Saturday means there is only one conclusion - McNamara is a🤡.

21 Oct 2020 16:00:44
How many shots on target did Celtic have against us last Saturday? I've forgotten.

21 Oct 2020 17:34:16
I feel a bit sorry for McNamara, he was seriously ill a few weeks ago.
I can only imagine he's not fully recovered judging by his Havers in the s*n.

21 Oct 2020 17:51:52
Sour grapes.

21 Oct 2020 18:15:42
I played with his ole man Jackie senior.

21 Oct 2020 18:29:31
MrGrumpy totally agree 😂.

21 Oct 2020 19:11:41
decree, Jackie Senior was good player, should have achieved more on the game.

21 Oct 2020 21:37:52
Don’t think Poor Jackie has recovered yet from his unfortunate challenge and I wish him well in his recovery.

21 Oct 2020 21:39:23
You would think that after everything he went through with his stroke, he'd be a bit more sensible, Rangers Fans also sent him good wishes at that time, short memory.

22 Oct 2020 15:40:48
Who is he managing now?

21 Oct 2020 13:51:44
Afternoon gents.
I, like many on here, believe the one missing piece of the jigsaw is a RW. Now I know we can't bring anyone in just now but (depending on our position come Jan) how about Yannick Bolasie. I heard him mentioned before but he has just dropped out Everton first team. I get he is 31 but a loan deal for 6 months and an option to sign as out of contract next year could be financially sound.
Thoughts?

21 Oct 2020 14:12:47
Blue genius that is a reasonable call, good experience and imo not too old.
I do like the lad skin Olsen.

21 Oct 2020 14:24:25
If we could get on 6 month loan 1st I’d be happy with that, he’s a very skill full player but one of those enigmas that hasn’t been cracked yet, has natural ability but doesn’t always turn up. I think he may be too lazy a player for us. Reminds of latapy.

21 Oct 2020 14:27:06
He was decent a few years ago Bluegenius but I don't think he would improve us much if at all. He was very poor at Sporting Lisbon last season and he's been very injury prone over the last few seasons. If we bring anyone in on loan we need to take a look at their injury record. Bringing someone in for 6 months who is always injured is a huge risk. Not for me this one but I get where you're coming from👍.

21 Oct 2020 15:46:07
Bolaise is a puddin! Had one good season about 5 years ago and got his move to everton. Got injured and hasn't kicked a ball since. Think he was on loan in English championship last season as was dug meat. i'd stay well clear.

21 Oct 2020 16:49:32
The right winger from Willem II is a player worth a look.
Personally like Traore from Wolves but probably a bit out of our league. unfortunately.

21 Oct 2020 16:57:33
Traore would be some signing. Quickest I've ever seen and built like a tank. Imagine how far he wpuld bounce Greg Taylor 😁.

21 Oct 2020 18:53:14
Not been good enough for a long time it’s a no for me.

21 Oct 2020 19:37:04
Thanks for the input lads.

21 Oct 2020 20:08:16
😂 trader would solve awe were probs on that side seeker. We’ll have a whip round see if we can come up with £80m bro 👍🏻.

21 Oct 2020 13:37:33
Listen bears here's a wee prediction, we will go from strength to strength in these next few months, we'll build a decent points gap between them, they'll start to feel real pressure and nasty fans turning which will effect the players and in turn fall apart, I don't know if it's just me but I really do think this year's ours! We'll see the cracks begin to crumble and raise our game and they simply won't handle it.

21 Oct 2020 14:17:40
DAZ I think if they get a hiding off ACM the wheels will definitely start to wobble.
What a shame NOT.

21 Oct 2020 15:48:08
id actually prefer them to get a result against Milan. A positive result for them will have them thinking everything is rosey again and no need to replace or shake things up. A defeat and a heavy one at that will re confirm to their board and fans that something isn't right, which could help them change things

just a thought.

21 Oct 2020 16:52:17
I hope they get humped from both AC and Aberdeen, I hope the two Blues Brothers dominate the middle of the park and take points from them and hopefully the only thing they leave Pitordrie with is bumps and bruises.

21 Oct 2020 17:01:06
I know where you are coming from jbf but tbh I'd love them to get a right humping. Mind you I always want them to get royally pumped. Royally is always the best way for them imo 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

21 Oct 2020 18:18:50
Yup definitely bar, and after they're hiding from Milan then Aberdeen could have a wee spring in their step, interesting period right now, I fancy us winning tomorrow but don't really want our players risking C.V.

21 Oct 2020 18:45:35
aye right and what side of the sheep are going to turn up, probably play their usual drivel against that mob, mcinnes ain't got a clue how to beat them only geared up for us.

21 Oct 2020 11:14:02
Was having a good chat re players out off contract at end off season with an ex player.
His opinion, no rumour we will see significant change again.
Potentially away. Defoe, McGregor, Davies, Firth, Stewart all end off contract
Balogun, Zunga, we have option to sign or not.
That's before we sell.

21 Oct 2020 11:44:27
John25. Balogun was a free transfer and signed a 2 year contract with us I'm sure.

21 Oct 2020 11:50:42
He signed a one year contract with the option of a second.

21 Oct 2020 11:53:29
Reckon Defoe, Firth and Stewart will all go, can see Davis and McGregor being offered another year. Obviously Balogun and Zungu will depend on how they perform this year (think the intention will be to make Zungu’s deal permanent though, unless he does really badly)

21 Oct 2020 11:54:35
I wouldn't rule out shagger and Davis signing up for another year.
Think it'll depend how shagger is fitness/ injury wise.

21 Oct 2020 12:07:28
“his opinion”

So really he doesn’t know?

21 Oct 2020 12:13:03
If fit, I would hope Davis and McGregor get new deals.

21 Oct 2020 12:30:51
Blackthornboy17.really. does anybody know. too many people on here like you that pipe up and do nothing but make smart comments to fellow gers fans. wisen up eh. No sure you relise what this page is called. learn what rumours means in the dictionary then come back with your OPINION.

21 Oct 2020 12:32:31
Davis has another year in him without doubt just game management, McGregor will sign a 1 year deal and again avoid plastic pitches and the like, firth imo will be kept on, apparently already has coaching badges Gerrard rates as a good number 3 and he’s very liked around the place he’s bought into what the rangers are all about. Why would he leave? Why would we let him go? Replace with who that’s happy to know they’ll never play. mcglauchlin n McGregor will rotate to keep McGregor fit and sharp. Balogun signed 1 year with option of 2nd. Stewart will leave poss even in January for nominal fee maybe back to Dundee. Defoe I think will retire and may, just may join the back room staff. Remember I said this. In short Davis McGregor and firth will still be rangers players next season. Playing champion league football 👍🏻🇬🇧.

21 Oct 2020 12:43:48
As long as we can loan Morelos to a EPL club (and they’re all queuing up) then we should get £50m in the summer for him. I’m sure we’ll go on a mad spending spree then 🤪🤪.

21 Oct 2020 12:45:57
Moc he signed a 12 month deal with a further year subject to appearances.

21 Oct 2020 12:49:45
Blackthorn toy that’s why I said it’s his opinion, just like I and you are allowing to have opinions
U r the best joke I’ve heard today.

21 Oct 2020 12:51:21
In gerrard I’d certainly not renew firths contract, we need to clear a slot for Robbie mccrorie or we could lose him too.

21 Oct 2020 12:54:36
I gerrard I agree re Defoe, I wrote here he could well replace gerrard in future, great ambassador.
Just needs to become more involved with reserves if that’s a road he wants to proceed down.
As we all see greater move for more black players to progress after they stop playing.

21 Oct 2020 12:56:11
Greg Stewart is on a 3 year deal.

21 Oct 2020 13:03:24
Defoe won't play much this season be good to get him off wage bill ( high wage)

21 Oct 2020 13:03:43
Greg Stewart’s contract expires end June 2021.

21 Oct 2020 13:09:06
Good post John25. I’d expect each of these players to be moved on although if fully fit think Davies and McGregor could extend for 12 months.

21 Oct 2020 13:28:07
John25 it’s sad it comes into it but your right mate the irrelevant fact Defoe is black could add to his already great credentials and help Him get a coaching job maybe with the b team u21s and as a striker coach. See how he gets on with it, regarding firth mate if McGregor and mcglauchlin stay next year as we expect them both to be. Then mcrorie would then go out on loan Again. Maybe to English championship for a tear before McGregor retires and he would then come back and compete with mcglauchlin for no 1 spot. Keepers need a few loan spell at young age to make mistakes and bounce back etc your talking 25 before a keeper starts fulfilling his potential. Mcrorie will replace McGregor when he goes and sitting around as 3rd choice doing nothing like firth is not good for his career.

21 Oct 2020 13:57:45
I gerrard good response on goalkeepers, I’m not convinced mcgregor will get another year, due to arthritis and minor knocks he spoke about. Which in his own words take longer to heal.

21 Oct 2020 14:28:45
Yeah John I have worried myself that it could be his year, if so, I would rather bring someone in to challenge McLaughlin, maybe an older guy plenty experience. Get 2 year out of him while mcrorie goes from livi to championship and comes back around 24 ready to challenge or perhaps take over himself. Romero at Man Utd is a free agent this summer could get him on a pre contract in January. If he’s willing to fall into line wages wise. He just wants to play and he’d get that here, great keeper.

21 Oct 2020 14:45:02
Can imagine Defoe going into a potential coaching role with us come next season, would like to keep him around seems to be a good influence and good lad.

21 Oct 2020 16:21:21
I definately think Defoe would stay in some capacity as coach etc if he was offered, the guy loves our club and I don't think money would be a problem,

21 Oct 2020 18:47:55
Inverrardwetrust

Good posts mate
Will be sad day when mcgreggor retires I’ve really liked him as a player since he first arrived and his fiery temperament
He’s been a great player for Rangers in my opinion
And made some incredible saves in his time and saved points for us and in my view been a true Rangers man
Can’t believe we’re now discussing him possibly retiring now 🙁

Jon is a great keeper too can’t believe he’s 33 hopefully get another 2 seasons out of him?

21 Oct 2020 20:12:55
Cheers stig, McGregor retiring makes me feel old n am only 34 mate lol he’s been a great servant to the club he’d have possibly been a 1 club man if not for all the troubles. I think Jono is a very good keeper, better than I thought when we signed him. He could hold the fort till young mcrorie is ready but I feel he needs another 1-2 years on loan with less pressure in a team that aren’t the best so he gets worked and learns he’s trade. I think shagger will stay 1 more year 👍🏻.

21 Oct 2020 21:08:12
Yeah agree mate

And would be nice to see mcgreggor stay for one more season if not I hope this season is the one he gets the league winners meadow great ending to his career if so
😊.

21 Oct 2020 11:04:43

Pleased to hear that Stig, stay safe mate.

21 Oct 2020 11:02:56
Again just for info

Although I think this one can't be true surely?

The SPFL are plotting to secure new powers which could force sides to forfeit matches if they cannot fulfil fixtures, the Daily Record reports.

The newspaper is claiming that a source within Hampden believes that with fears of more postponements due to C.V., the professional body wants permissions to hand out mandatory 3-0 defeats.?

Can't see this happening to be honest

But thought I'd share just for the read 😊.

21 Oct 2020 11:41:55
It already happens in the League Cup.
Will they back date it, if it comes in and force Celtic, Aberdeen, Killie etc to forfeit the points for games they pulled out of?

21 Oct 2020 11:48:14
Surely they can't change this in the middle of the season. Aberdeen and Celtic got their fixtures re-arranged at the start of the season which they went on to win. It would be unfair on every other club to suffer a 3-0 loss unless they go back and award the teams that had their fixtures changed against Aberdeen and Celtic the 3-0 win. I can't see this happening but with the current crop running the SFA I wouldn't put anything past them.

21 Oct 2020 12:20:02
Totally agree MOCBear
Crazy times.

21 Oct 2020 10:44:41
Just been to BetFred, Rangers 8/ 11 favourites to win the league.
I know it doesn't mean we will win the league but when was the last time we were favourites.
We will win the league.

21 Oct 2020 10:48:12
I hope to god we win the league. Its a must👍.

21 Oct 2020 11:41:17
Think we're favourites with most bookies now. Just an indication, that's all, as the bookies can get it wrong.

Saying that, I haven't seen many of them go out of business recently!

21 Oct 2020 12:03:06
Bookies are usually spot on, we could be 4/ 9 favs in a few games time.
Happy Day's.

21 Oct 2020 12:37:09
We were favourites through the winter break last season after our performance although ultimately lost in cup, then win at Parkhead and top of league. Clearly better team we were favourites with bookies, then we crumbled.

21 Oct 2020 13:55:32
Won't be any crumbling this time.

21 Oct 2020 13:59:21
Coldo the league is priority mate 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧.

21 Oct 2020 09:57:01
For me its not where arfeild is better on the park I think he is more effective when he is fighting for his position on the pitch as he starts going off the boil if he starts getting a run of games keeping him on his toes keeps him producing. Adding Jack Wilshere if we did would be a huge statement of intent to the manky mob. Despite where people think we need him or not he would be great player in squad to have yes it would be a risk with his injuries but maybe a salary based more on pay as you play for this season with an option of further years and if he pulled away from his passed injuries he would be a huge asset to the team with his knowledge. that's my opinion anyway.

21 Oct 2020 10:13:21
Why would Jack Wiltshire come to Scotland on a pay was you play deal? All of the risk is on him and he’s left with no security. He will earn more sitting injured at a club like QPR. There is nothing in that deal that would make a player say ‘Yes I want some of that’.

Then we have the second point which I think people know and just keep brushing over. he can’t train at the intensity we do, fitter people have failed under SG.

Lastly, given our current form and the strength we have in midfield, he’s unlikely to play. I’m not saying fully fit he’s not good enough, more who would you drop on current form?

21 Oct 2020 09:50:28
Old firm win was amazing just hoping next few games prove we are of a strong mindset and continue to win well. So many big wins have followed by slip ups. i'm 95% sure this is Gerrards season to click and dominate.

21 Oct 2020 11:20:16
Agreed Baz, lost count the number of times we've had a chance to open a gap and let it slip. Maybe this time we can have 3 good results over the next 3 games. Because their next 3 are going to be tough the way they are playing.

21 Oct 2020 08:43:04
What a difference on here where we aren't arguing who isn't good enough for Rangers but now debating who should be in the starting 11!
We have the best 2 keepers in the league and they both arrived on free transfers where across the city they paid £5 million for a diddy!

Our starting FB's are both covered by talented youngsters.
Our current CH's are covered by an experienced pro with 2 capable youngsters waiting in the wings.

We have enough cover in midfield with Jack, who plenty on here wanted as captain, isn't guaranteed a starting place due to the exceptional form of Davis and Kamara.
Up front we have Kent who is currently head and shoulders above anyone else in Scotland with his early season form. Consistency was always the key as he has talent in abundance.

We also have options in the striker role.
Throw in the early season brilliance of Arfield and that explains the fight for 2 of our talented players in Hagi and Aribo to get back into the side.
In my opinion we stick with the current winning side with the possible exception of Barker.

Gerrard and Co have now built a side that is capable of seriously challenging for the title this season. It's up to them to utilise the squad to its maximum potential.
In Gerrard We Trust! 🔴⚪🔵.

I forgot to add all our starters on Saturday were our own players, no loans.
Celtic had £30 million of loan players ( 3 of them ) in their starting line up with one of them on £45K a week!
Would anyone swap the Derry Donkey or Laxative from AC Milan for any of our players?

Terrific post MPH!

What’s really encouraging is that we are playing well, winning, scoring goals and yet our three main strikers, Morelos, Itten and Roofe are still to really get going. Imagine what we could be like if and when they all get up to speed and start banging in the goals.

Hard to argue with that spudnut 👏👏👍.

Good post Mr PH. Valid points, we are stronger now with competition for places much better. Don’t be fooled by the 5m they claim to have paid for the Greek goalie. that’s Lawell spin to his media outlets. he cost 2.5m, remember Lawell decides the valuation of Celtic players and what they pay for players they buy, he leaks fake stories, remember all this during transfer window. Christie to Burnley, Eduard to whoever, Ajer to Milan, all tosh. anyway enough said about them, we are looking good at current time. Come on the Teddy Bears.

And to think our whole midfield has cost the the sum total of £350k. Jack - freedom of contract, Arfield - freedom of contract, Davis - freedom of contract, Kamara - £50k, Aribo - £300k development fee and Zungu on loan.

That is a great point btw broxi bear. 350grand for all those players. All that quality. Steven Gerrard his back room staff and our scouting system, although suspect under Mark Allen, him and Ross between them have built a really good squad of players with great youth teams at every level really all deserve the biggest recognition from rangers fans for the squad we have assembled for not a lot of money and how good they now are along with the value of these bargain players. Absolutely tremendous what has been done at our club. Don’t think Gerrard gets the proper praise he deserves. Everyone bickering about cups and 9in a row or stop 10. Gerrard has built our club back up from the top to the bottom. The trophies will come but his legacy will last long when he goes as is the groundwork and detail he has imposed on the club. 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

Brian laudrup wrote a terrific, very complimentary piece in his daily mail column, regarding how good and how highly he rates our midfielder, glen kamara 👌He reckons he possesses the technical ability, to be able to play for any of the top clubs in the english premier league. I've always had no doubt how good kamara is and will get even better! We'll eventually get big money for him, possibly after this season.

21 Oct 2020 10:51:16
Kamara is class coop. One of the first names on the team sheet. 👍.

21 Oct 2020 12:42:56
He has a good euros, after helping us win the league and cup double, maybe a treble who knows. Performs well in Europe and we get god draw we could go further than 16. Add a awe that together and we’ll be charging £20 minimum for him maybe £25. All depends he keeps his performances at the current level, perhaps add 5 goals a season to his game. He might decide to stay and play champions league with rangers, same with bb. Depends if buying club offer champions league sometimes.
